This is sending the wrong message out to a superficial culture that is so worried about Madison Avenue that young women make themselves quite sick over the thought of gaining just a few pounds.

Courtney Lenz told NBC, "They didn't specifically say that [it was because of the weight], but when it comes down to it, that's the only disciplinary action I had during the year. I got benched because of my weight, and they said that was the reason. Anybody that had disciplinary action taken during the season was automatically disqualified. However, there are some girls on the team that were also benched for their weight and are going."

Like I said, it sends the wrong message to young women. After all, she looks quite healthy to me.

It took as much energy to produce ethanol as ethanol produces when it burns. Perhaps, there was another driving factor in pushing ethanol from Mordor. The Examiner reports:


The fuel industry's American Petroleum Institute tested the 15 percent ethanol gas approved in 2010 and found it gums up fuel systems, prompts "check engine" lights to come on, and messes with fuel gauge readings.

"Failure of these components could result in breakdowns that leave consumers stranded on busy roads and highways," said the industry report. Worse: API said the fuel problems--not found in E5 or E10 blends--aren't always covered by auto warranties.

My friend Dean has been warning his customers at the AutoZone as he sells more Lucas fuel treatment to save fuel systems from the effects of this new federally mandated fuel. Knowing the US government is now in the auto producing business, doesn't it seem very likely they want a profit on their return. Perhaps they always knew this and found corn fuel as a way to shorten the life of your car so your local Chevy dealer sees more business.

When I was a kid, your imagination was celebrated. If you could take something from a plastic interlocking cube and connect to other like interlocking shaped pieces of plastic and make something from it, your parents, teachers, and other influences usually celebrated your creativity. Now they are punishing it.


A five-year-old boy was threatened with suspension by school officials in Massachusetts after he built a small toy gun out of lego bricks and started to play-shoot his classmates.

Joseph Cardosa was given a written warning by officials at Hyannis West Elementary School, Cape Cod, when he fashioned the crude toy in an after-school activity program.

The boy was told that if he commits the crime a second time he will be suspended for two weeks.

So should we ban Legos? This school district obviously thinks there is danger to other children if another child shapes Legos into something that isn't politically correct.

Good grief! When I was a kid, Santa delivered toy guns with holsters, and I got to imagine I was one of the good guys like the Lone Ranger keeping other kids like my sisters safe from bad guys like Black Bart. What good could come out of that?

When Mike Tyson Endorses You...: Lance Armstrong Receives Support

Lance Armstrong has a new supporter. Mike Tyson has come out in support of Lance Armstrong.


"He is an awesome human being," Tyson said. "We're all human beings, we're all going to make mistakes. We're not perfect, and neither is Lance."

CBS New York reports Tyson was hesitant to label Armstrong a "cheater" and encouraged others to support the cyclist, who was stripped of all seven Tour de France titles.

"I think that people that are his friends, should still be his friends," Tyson said. "He's going to get bashed for awhile, so if you're truly his friend, try to help him absorb the blows."

You know if Mike Tyson says you are an awesome human being, it must be true. Right? Perhaps Tyson likes Lance's ears. Yummy!

Liberals are pushing a plan thanks to Obamacare that promote the ideas of death panels. Smokers and overweight Americans beware! You are one of Obama's targets for a session with the death panels the liberals claim don't exist in Obamacare.

Faced with the high cost of caring for smokers and overeaters, experts say society must grapple with a blunt question: Instead of trying to penalize them and change their ways, why not just let these health sinners die?

Annual health care costs are roughly $96 billion for smokers and $147 billion for the obese, the government says. These costs accompany sometimes heroic attempts to prolong lives, including surgery, chemotherapy and other measures.


But despite these rescue attempts, smokers tend to die 10 years earlier on average, and the obese die five to 12 years prematurely, according to various researchers’ estimates.

And attempts to curb smoking and unhealthy eating frequently lead to backlash: Witness the current legal tussle over New York City’s first-of-its-kind limits on the size of sugary beverages and the vicious fight last year in California over a ballot proposal to add a $1-per-pack cigarette tax, which was ultimately defeated.

You know, looking back at history, Hitler also believed in selecting certain traits and letting them die rather than tax society with their weaknesses.

Can You Tell How Much Sex a Husband is Having by the Amount of Housework He Does?

A new study of husband wife relationships has an interesting discovery that men should know. Vacuuming the house, doing the laundry, cooking, washing the dishes, and all the rest of the housework that you can do isn't going to help you get lucky. In fact, the study shows the more housework the man does (think the feminization of men in America) the less sex his wife is giving him. Could it be that women have no respect for their husband if the husband takes up a vacuum cleaner?

Husbands who spend more time doing traditionally female chores -- such as cooking, cleaning, and shopping -- reported having less sex than those who do more masculine tasks, said the study in the American Sociological Review.

"Our findings suggest the importance of socialized gender roles for sexual frequency in heterosexual marriage," said lead author Sabino Kornrich, of the Center for Advanced Studies at the Juan March Institute in Madrid.

"Couples in which men participate more in housework typically done by women report having sex less frequently. Similarly, couples in which men participate more in traditionally masculine tasks -- such as yard work, paying bills, and auto maintenance -- report higher sexual frequency."

So men need to act like men. They need to do the Mike Rowe dirty kind of jobs where they get dirty and sweat--not the jobs that make their hands soft--if they want to turn on their woman. Listen to Paula Cole on this one.

* who in his inaugural address expressed support for a Constitutional amendment to make slavery permanent

*who failed to allow states rights promised by the 10th Amendment to occur as he sent union troops down to South Carolina to intimidate the new seceded South into war

* who signed into law a redistribution of wealth tax that took from the South with the approval of slavery to rebuild northern industry

* who, while at war with Southern states, suspended habeas corpus and put his political enemies in jail

* who shut down printing presses that didn't support Lincoln's policies

* who wrote to Horace Greeley that he did not fight the war to end slavery nor did he fight the war to keep slavery. Lincolns' war was defiant of the 10th Amendment by Lincoln's own admission as his tyrannical war was to keep the union together

Not sure Abraham Lincoln when it comes to freedom equals a whole lot of awesome. Perhaps Honest Abe's should reconsider their message.

More Americans Headed Towards Poverty Under Obama's Reign

Where are the jobs?

College students pay attention as you become part of the problem as you believe borrowing from the federal student loan system in hopes of achieving prosperity with your dream of a piece of paper called a diploma. There are no jobs in the Obama economy. And the jobs that are available are moving into the poverty range.

The New York Times reports:


Politicians across the political spectrum herald “job creation,” but frightfully few of them talk about what kinds of jobs are being created. Yet this clearly matters: According to the Census Bureau, one-third of adults who live in poverty are working but do not earn enough to support themselves and their families.

A quarter of jobs in America pay below the federal poverty line for a family of four ($23,050). Not only are many jobs low-wage, they are also temporary and insecure. Over the last three years, the temp industry added more jobs in the United States than any other, according to the American Staffing Association, the trade group representing temp recruitment agencies, outsourcing specialists and the like.

Low-wage, temporary jobs have become so widespread that they threaten to become the norm. But for some reason this isn’t causing a scandal. At least in the business press, we are more likely to hear plaudits for “lean and mean” companies than angst about the changing nature of work for ordinary Americans.

So if more Americans are going to college with more older Americans returning to college--borrowing money to attend classes in hopes of getting that piece of paper that says you are qualified for a job--and the jobs that are out there are moving downwards in the income scale and into the poverty range, don't you see the myth of a college education being the easy road to a better life is nothing more than a dream in Obama's America? Your days after college are going to be, for most college graduates, miserable days of enslavement to the debt you created thanks to the federal government.

RE:  Proposed Gun Control legislation,

            By way of introduction let me say that I am not only the duly elected Sheriff of Shannon County Missouri but also a lifelong resident of this county.  The residents of this county are not only my friends, but in many cases, my relatives as well. I have over 30 years experience in law enforcement. With these thoughts in mind, the people of this area have seen fit to elect me to my second term in this office.  They have expressed their confidence that I will not only defend their property and persons but will also defend their constitutional rights.

            In light of recent events, it appears as if a massive political push may be forthcoming that will severely damage the Second Amendment rights that people in my jurisdiction hold dear.  Our founding fathers in their wisdom provided protection for our right to be personally armed.  In commentary in their writings the founding fathers made it clear their intentions.  Samuel Adams wrote, “The Constitution shall never be construed…to prevent the people of the United States from keeping their own arms”. On the same subject, Thomas Jefferson, said “No free man shall be debarred the use of arms”.  It seems that the authors of the Constitution were very specific in their intentions.  Knowing that many events are swayed by time specific political events, they also made the process of changing the Constitution a difficult and lengthy process. This process cannot be usurped on a whim or knee-jerk reaction to circumstances or individual opinions and it is this way by design.

            Mr. President it is my intent to add my name to those Sheriffs of this nation that have spoken up against any further infringement of the Second Amendment.  Any new unconstitutional acts of the Federal Government will not be enforced in this county.  I, and my deputies, have taken an oath to uphold the Constitution of the United States.  We will do this duty with pride.  We did not take any such oath to uphold any specific government of the United States.  It should be known that I am not ordering my deputies to take this stance, they have all freely volunteered that they will support this position.  We, along with our counterparts in other counties, have vowed to defend people in our jurisdiction against all aggressors both domestic and foreign.  Any attempts to enforce unconstitutional mandates upon these people will be viewed as domestic aggression and all means necessary to protect our people will be employed.

Time to Reconsider Funding for the Missouri Milk Board: Not Encouraging Production of Missouri Dairy

It's time to reconsider funding from Missouri taxpayers when it comes to Missouri Milk Board. I suggest this incompetent bunch of big government bureaucrats are failing at their jobs, and our tax dollars could be better spent elsewhere. It doesn't take long to find the proof they are failing at their mission.

The Missouri Milk Board's Web site states in its first paragraph:

State Milk Board (SMB) was created in 1972 to encourage orderly and sanitary production, transportation, processing and grading of fluid milk and processed milk products for consumption intrastate as well as interstate. Missouri's nearly 1121 grade A and 438 manufacturing grade dairy farms places it in the top 23 milk producing states. With 43 grade A and manufacturing grade processing plants Missouri has production growth potential.

Underneath this paragraph is a graph that shows how ineffective these bureaucrats are.

Since 2003, Missouri milk production has been on a steep decline. Obviously, the Missouri Milk Board has failed in its mission to encourage production. Missouri dairy farms are producing 500 million pounds less in milk than they were ten years ago. You have to ask why.



We saw last week how the Missouri Milk Board raided a dairy farm--putting a long-time family operation out of business as they destroyed $250,000 (30,000 pounds) worth of cheese. That word "encourage" comes with conflict, doesn't it?

It's time Missourians ask the question is big government and its constricting regulations leading to reductions in milk production in Missouri? It's obvious the Missouri Milk Board isn't efficient in encouraging the growth of Missouri dairy. Perhaps, Jeff City needs to rethink it's funding for the Missouri Milk Board.

Just Days After Dixon Farm Raided, USDA Eases Requirements on Foreign Meat

While one Missouri family deals with the destruction of their farm, thanks to Missouri's Milk Board, the USDA has announced new changes in the way it handles foreign meat. The Dixon family faced the wrath of government after the federal government raided a California natural foods store that sold their raw cheese. As of today, foreign meat inspections will get an easier ride into the United States.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture has cut the number of food safety audits it conducts on foreign countries that ship meat to the U.S. as part of an overhaul that the agency says will allow it to focus on the riskiest imports.

USDA officials are now only conducting audits of safety laws in meat-exporting countries at least once every three years instead of on a mandatory annual basis, the agency said Friday, a move that critics say could reduce the safety of imported meat.

Churches to Kick Out the Boy Scouts if Ban on Gay Scoutmasters is Reversed

My Boy Scout troop met at First and Calvary Presbyterian Church in Springfield. The church allowed our troop to meet in their basement, use their chapel for our Court of Honors, and store our gear on their property. Without this church, our troop may have been challenged with the logistics of what it takes to maintain a troop. Throughout the United States many churches provide Scouting troops with facilities to conduct their meetings and begin their camp outs. That may be soon ending if the Boy Scouts of America reverses their ban on gay Scoutmasters.

The President of the Southern Baptists is speaking up.

“If that is what the leadership is doing, then I think it will be a sad day in the life of the Boy Scouts of America,” Fred Luter, president of the Southern Baptist Convention, told  the Baptist Press. “This is a tradition that so many of us across the country grew up in. We were in Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts in elementary school, and this organization has always stood for biblical principles — all the things that grounded our lives as a young kid growing up. To now see this organization that I thought stood on biblical principles about to give in to the politically correct thing is very disappointing.”

It is estimated that 70 percent of Boy Scout troops are tied to churches in the United States. You can see why the Boy Scouts are walking a fine line right now. With one rash decision, 70 percent of Boy Scout troops may be soon asked to leave the premises.

“Churches of all faiths and denominations, including Southern Baptist churches, will be forced to reevaluate whether they can, in good conscience, continue to host Scout troops given that the Scouts appear poised to turn their backs on this clear biblical and moral issue,” Roger Oldham, spokesman for the Southern Baptist Convention, said.

You know the Catholic Church, not far removed from a priest scandal involving sexual advances towards young boys, will be nervous about the coming announcement next week from the Boy Scouts. It's very likely they will want to be distanced from the idea of gay Scoutmasters and their possible temptations.

For now, these churches are not rushing to conclusions. They are patiently waiting hoping the conservative traditions of the Boy Scouts will be upheld.

Boy Scouts Take Funds From Some Ethically Challenged Corporations: Bank of America and Monsanto

Like many Americans, I have been asking a lot of questions about the Boy Scouts this week. They of course appear ready to reverse their decision on gay Scoutmasters and allow them within the ranks. I have found this sad, but perhaps many of us have held the Boy Scouts to too high of a standard to begin with.

I know as an Eagle Scout, I want to believe Scouting is a pure organization that encourages the growth of boys. Since I received by Eagle Scout award in 1987 and later becoming an assistant Scoutmaster, I have seen many changes like women coming along on camping trips (justified by the divorce rates in America) that I don't agree with. I question if these changes promote healthy growth and independence in an organization that teaches leadership. Of course, mothers with their Walmart purchased marshmallow roasters at the Scout's campfire gossiping wasn't something I was ready for to begin with.

As I was digging around, I noticed some of the the Boy Scouts'  biggest corporate contributors. I wonder how the Boy Scouts can claim values while taking money from some of these corporations.

The first on the list is Bank of America. Yes, the same Bank of America that led the questionable lending practices that led to the housing bubble as they took money from the taxpayers through fraudulent methods. Does Bank of America with its reputation sound like a corporation that practices Scouting values?

There is also Monsanto. I must question this based on the simple fact that Scouts are supposed to leave the earth as if it was untouched when they use it. Yet, Monsanto's controversial processes do little to leave what God gave us into an original state. Their genetically modified seeds are having a real impact of the environment, something a Scout is taught to respect and preserve. There is even an Eagle required merit badge dedicated to preserving the environment. Monsanto is such a power hungry company, they put patent on seeds and sue any farmer they can who attempts to reused the seeds their plants produce the following year. They go after farmers who are the victims of GMO pollution, where the wind spreads the pollen of a GMO plant into a non GMO field. They are also working on terminating seeds, which are genetically modified plants the produce no seeds at all. One would think the Scouts would be worried about the environmental impact of Monsanto and what it means on a local and global scale.

I understand funding is quite important, but you have to ask yourself if you promote a set of values, why would you take money from corporations that don't necessarily represent those values?

Apparently, I am not the only one asking this question. Through a Facebook discussion page on the Boy Scouts issue, I was led the following Letter to an Eagle Scout where this funding has been questioned for more than a decade.


I received your note about news of an upcoming proposal before the Boy Scouts of America national board, which meets Wednesday, February 6th.

According to the news release regarding that proposal, "The BSA is discussing potentially removing the national membership restriction regarding sexual orientation." You are correct, the removal of this restriction will permit local BSA Councils to accept homosexual members and, moreover, to invite homosexuals to serve in leadership positions at all levels of the organization.

I understand your profound disappointment in this great organization, after all you accomplished to obtain your Eagle rank. I share that disappointment as your former Scoutmaster, and many years in other leadership positions with the BSA.

A decade ago, when you first joined my Cub Scout Pack, I wrote the BSA's National Executive Board about concerns regarding advertisers in the Cub and Boy Scouting magazines. The great Scouting stories were wrapped in ads for junk food and video games.

I was struck by the fact that on the one hand, we, as leaders, were charged with encouraging our boys to develop healthy habits for life -- and on the other hand, the national organization was serving them a monthly dose of junk food and video game advertising.

The BSA responded that without those advertisers, it would be difficult to fund their glossy publications. I rebutted that this was a "Faustian bargain," that it conveyed the wrong message in every respect. I heard nothing more from the BSA.

I think Faustian bargain is a great way to put it. The Boy Scouts are willing to sell out their own values and the lessons they teach to boys in exchange for the almighty dollar. What the Boy Scouts have really done by advancing the idea of gay Scoutmasters is pull open the curtains and expose a double standard that conflicts with the Scout Law and Oath.

Boy Scouts Use Poll to Decide Gay Scoutmaster Issue: 972-580-2330

The Boy Scouts of America called in reinforcements to answer their phones. The phones have been ringing off the wall since the Boy Scouts leaked they are going to reverse their position on gay Scoutmasters. If you get past the busy signals a friendly voices asks if you support or oppose the move to allow gay Scoutmasters.

I think this may be one of the saddest moments in Boy Scouts. Scouting, known for its values, is calling upon mobocracy in the form of a poll to decide its values rather than look into its core beliefs and stand up for the values it has represented for 103 years.

What's even sadder is what is really driving this. It's not some moral dilemma. It is a funding and image dilemma that has created the controversy within the Scouts this week as they move to reverse their position. I think the question should resonate within the Scouting community. If you sacrifice your core values for the almighty dollar and a favorable image with the mainstream media, then why bother trying to enforce core values at all.

If core values don't matter, perhaps the Scouts should start making feminine apparel for closet queen Scoutmasters and introduce a merit badge for alternative lifestyle exploration.

As long as the Scouts are looking outside the Scouts to resolve this issue rather than look at the 103 years of history and what the Scout Oath and Scout Law mean, especially the words "morally straight", then obviously Scouting's core values that are built upon as Scouts grow to reach the rank of evil mean very little. If those core values mean nothing, then what value does the Eagle Scout rank have anymore?

Those are questions this Eagle Scout is asking. If the values I have learned as a Scout and applied to my life mean nothing to Scouting's governing body, so much they are having to conduct polls from outside people calling in, then really does my Eagle Scout award really have any value as the Scouts discount their own values?

Research by FICO Labs into the growing student lending crisis in the U.S. has found that, as a group, individuals taking out student loans today pose a significantly greater risk of default than those who took out student loans just a few years ago. The situation is compounded by significant growth in the amount of debt that new graduates are carrying.

The delinquency rate today on student loans that were originated from 2005-2007 is 12.4 percent. The comparable figure for student loans that were originated from 2010-2012 is 15.1 percent, representing an increase in the delinquency rate by nearly 22 percent

See the crisis brewing as another easy money lending plan delivered to you by the federal government in the name of fairness threatens the entire economy just like the housing bubble eight years ago.

You know who owns all the student loan debt now, so it will be the American tax payer, many who don't have a dime of student loan debt, who will be left to bail out these bad loans.

It was just a year or so ago that American students, graduates, and college drop outs hit a significant milestone. There is now over $1 trillion in unpaid student loan debt enslaving people from around the United States. If we are nearing a 20% delinquency rate in student loan repayment, that means we are rising above $200 billion in bad student loans which taxpayers will soon be asked to pay back in the forms of more bank bailouts just like the housing bailouts.

America's borrowing culture is kicking America from every angle.

Doping: Ray Lewis Performs a Lance Armstrong to Get to the Big Game

Ray Lewis should be in prison. He's not. Instead he quotes scripture after every game the Ravens win as we forget he was part of a Super Bowl night stabbing. It's Super Bowl time again and it appears the Raven is in Lance Armstrong denial mode.

SportsIllustrated released a story today linking Ravens linebacker Ray Lewis to a banned substance they claim he’s used since October to recover from a triceps injury.

S.I. reports Lewis used deer-antler velvet extract spray which increases their level of IGF-1, which acts the way that a steroid would, cutting fat and promoting muscle growth.

That's right, just days before his final football game, we are learning Lewis doped to get to the big game. He should be pulled and delivered disciplinary action to fit the crime, but of course he is denying any wrong doing.

Missouri is No Different Than New York and It's Tyrannical Anti Big Gulp Law

Remember a few months ago when we looked to New York, specifically Mayor Adolphis Bloomberg's plan to outlaw the Big Gulp and other super-sized sodas--setting a 16 ounce limit on sugary drinks in New York City. We looked on in horror as government reigned out of control. How dare he try to tell New Yorkers what they can and cannot sell! How dare he limit the amount of Coca-Cola a New Yorker can purchase at a convenience store or restaurant.

I am sitting here in Missouri realizing the Show-Me-State isn't that much different than the tyrants in New York placing limits on sodas. In fact, Missouri tyrants may be even worse. Yet, Bloomberg gets all the press while the people of Missouri are deceived in believing the Missouri Milk Nazis (Missouri Milk Board) has our best interests and is only trying to keep us safe from that dangerous raw milk. You know the milk the way God intended it?

Where is the outrage across the state? The same people who are frustrated by other attempts like Bloombergs ban on Coca-Cola aren't drawing the the same conclusion as Milk Nazi Don Falls raids the Morningline Dairy Farm in traditional small town Howell County, where words like freedom and liberty ring, and then proceeds to destroy over 30,000 pounds of raw cheese.



Funny how Americans can be outraged by the idea of being kept from buying a 64 ounce sugary drink by a mayor, but mostly don't care when the government raids a farm for selling a natural organic product. Bloomberg is a tyrant why those Missouri bureaucrats are only trying to keep the children safe from the dangers of milk fresh from the cow. It's how people drank milk for hundreds of years until the last century by the way.

Once again, I am reminded of that clever little fellow named Benjamin Franklin who played an important part in founding this great experiment we call the United States.

Those who give up liberty for security deserve neither.

Freedom and liberty isn't just dying in those crazy overtaxed blue states like New York, California, and Illinois. It is happening in the heartland in places like Howell County, Missouri. You best realize that before it's too late.

It is sad. The state of Missouri provides the first examples that Americans are no longer truly free. Think about that for a minute. This state claims it supports American values while sitting in the middle of the Bible Belt, and yet it has become the focus of an essay reminding Americans their freedoms are dying.


Missourians believe only states like Illinois, California, and New York (with its ban on the Big Gulp) are guilty. Yet in Missouri, there are clear signs the state government doesn't support the very God given freedoms America was founded upon.

Simon Black writes of tyranny in Missouri:

You know you’re no longer living in a free country when the government tells you what you can and cannot put in your body. Or when an unelected board of bureaucrats and corporate insiders can confiscate the assets of hardworking small business owners.

Yet these have become par for the course in the Land of the Free.

The latest bout involves a family-owned raw milk operation in Missourithat was decimated last week by the heavy hand of government, courtesy of the State Milk Board.

Of course, this isn’t even an actual government agency, but rather one of more than 200 such committees in Missouri which wield tsarist authority over their domains.

State Milk Board members include both state bureaucrats and corporate leaders from the milk industry. How convenient that a few big producers are given unelected, absolute authority to torpedo a raw milk competitor…

And so, last Friday, farm inspectors arrived to confiscate 18 tons of cheese that Morningland Dairy had produced from raw milk. They were met by a small crowd which had gathered to show support for the family… and to denounce these agents of government for carrying out an immoral act on innocent people.

It was all captured on video, including the police response.

You have to respect what these people were doing. They stood to face their enemies and peacefully demonstrate against abuse of power. They even tried to convince government agents to stop participating in the wholesale destruction of liberty.

It’s a noble thing indeed. But the uncomfortable reality is that their efforts were wasted.

The police, the bureaucrats… they are not the enemy. They are merely pawns of an entire system gone critically bad. In truth, there is no actual enemy. The enemy is an idea– a faceless government that is not embodied in a single individual or group.

Trying to ‘fight’ this enemy, this idea, is as futile as a government ‘declaring war’ on drugs or poverty. These are not enemy combatants. They’re nouns. Concepts.

As such, trying to ‘take back’ the country is a noble yet unfortunately misguided expenditure of precious resources. One would be more successful trying to train a potted plant how to juggle rather than trying to change the system.

As humans we have natural instincts to defend ourselves. Rationally, though, the best move we have is to simply refuse to play the game. That means leaving.

Our most solemn obligations are to our families, ourselves, and our chosen loved ones. Not to a society that no longer shares our values. Not to a passport. Not to a politician. Not to a piece of dirt.

Just as our forefathers did, when the walls of the social contract start closing in, you go find a new piece of dirt. Or at least have a plan for it; the time to consider your escape options isn’t while you’re packing your bags.

A Scout is Morally Straight: An Open Letter to the Boy Scouts of America

To the governing body of the Boy Scouts of America,

It is now well known next week the Boy Scouts of America will lift the ban on gay Scoutmasters. Again, I am reminded that values we hold dear are easily sacrificed to the dollar and political correctness. For the Scout Oath contains the words "morally straight". It is a promise each boy says with their Scoutmaster as the progress to the highest rank in Scouting--Eagle Scout.

The Scout Oath:

On my honor I will do my best
To do my duty to God and my country
and to obey the Scout Law;
To help other people at all times;
To keep myself physically strong,
mentally awake, and morally straight.


It's looking like next week, those values will be sacrificed and "morally straight" will become meaningless words. Our society is full of meaningless words, and the Boy Scouts was one organization where I thought words meant something. We take an oath as a Scout because we commit to core values as we reach the first rank of Scout. As we progress up to the rank of Eagle, we prove we are committed to the lifestyle the Scout Oath and Law promotes.

Tonight, I am not so sure the Boy Scouts of America is committed to the Scout oath anymore, and I watch my Eagle Scout award become another meaningless piece of Americana where core values are now sacrificed for political correctness, feel-good emotions, and of course funding. Of course, it should be no surprise there is a history of federal funding which the Boy Scouts benefited from.

It is funding surrounded by the never-ending negative news stories which portray the Boy Scouts as a homophobic group that has now pressured the Boy Scouts to reverse their stance on gay Scoutmasters while ignoring their own oath. While I am not homophobic, I do believe oaths mean something, but when the Boy Scouts of America reverse their position next week, they are saying none of the promises, words, laws, and Scouting way of life really have much value over the almighty dollar and the value of a positive image in the mainstream media. In the governing body of the Boy Scouts selling out their own values and reversing their stand, they are telling me the hard work and the oaths I committed to mean nothing. Therefore my Eagle Scout designation within  the ranks means nothing as well.

Therefore I am asking the Boy Scouts of American, if they follow through and reverse the position on gay Scoutmasters next week, please remove my name from the long list of Eagle Scouts. I will remove my Eagle Scout badge and other hardware from my wall where I have proudly displayed it and return it to the Boy Scouts national office. So many of my core values have been sold out by society and now the Boy Scouts too are selling those values out.

Don't you love how in Missouri it's easier to buy meth than it is raw milk? Yes thanks to people like Don Falls and the Missouri Milk Board, the dangers of raw milk are no longer threatening Missourians as kids play in parks in places like Springfield where methamphetamine labs are set up for an overnight cookout. I Surrender My Eagle Scout Award After BSA Caves to Political Correctness

The Scout Law states the values a Boy Scout must live by. It appears political pressure has the Boy Scouts bowing down and forgetting about their own laws. After fighting for a decade to keep homosexual Scoutmasters out of the organization, the Boy Scouts have now decided it is best to let them in.


The Boy Scouts of America announced today, under pressure from questions raised by The Christian Post, that the organization is likely to allow professed homosexuals to become scout leaders and that a vote on the matter is scheduled at the group's executive meeting in Irving, Texas, the first week of February.

When asked about the change by The Christian Post, BSA officials confirmed the major policy reversal just days before Scout Sunday, February 3, an annual event held in many churches around the country to promote and encourage participation in scouting. The organization originally planned to make the announcement at the Boy Scouts of America Annual Meeting in May.

It's a wonder Barack Obama hasn't issued a presidential honor for the directors and producers of the new documentary called "After Tiller". Obama of course was the only man in Illinois who voted against the Born Alive Infant Protection Act so a film that celebrates abortion in the third trimester is something right up Obama's alley.

"After Tiller" recently premiered at the Sundance Film Festival. It's goal is to give a warm and fuzzy human side to abortion. It is propaganda in the worst way.

Once again, we need to ask why the United States calls the Chinese practice of abortion, in which sex is the deciding factor of whether a fetus lives or dies, "evil" while we celebrate a movie that gives a human side to trimester abortions and turns the doctors who perform them into warm and fuzzy teddy bears?

HB114: Wyoming Fights the NDAA and the Federal Government's Power to Indefinitely Detain Americans

Wyoming is fighting the federal government's National Defense Authorization Act. HB114, just introduced in the Wyoming state house, will protect the citizens of Wyoming against the laws unconstitutional indefinite detainment powers.

 The bill, sponsored by Rep. Kendell Kroeker and co-sponsored by Rep. David Miller, Rep. Hans Hunt, and Sen. Cale Case is designed to hold the government within the limited powers the Constitution gives it while ensuring due process laws will be carried out.

“The Constitution of the United States has the Bill of Rights for a reason,” said Representative Kroeker, “I take an oath to support, obey, and defend the Constitution and I take that seriously.  When the federal government passes legislation that violates the constitution, it is our duty as a state to make sure we protect the rights of our citizens.”

A Message for Missouri Milk Nazi Don Falls: Hithering Swarms of Officers to Harass our People, and Eat out Their Substance

Last Friday, Missouri Milk Board representative Don Falls went to the Morningland Dairy to destroy a family's livelihood. The Missouri Milk Board has been fighting the Morningland Dairy for two years because they dare to produce raw cheese and raw milk (milk the way God intended it) that has never seen pasteurization. Morningland lost on Friday as 39,000 pounds of cheese was destroyed and this family business is basically gone as a quarter million dollars in cheese will never be recovered.



I have a message for Don Falls, the Missouri Milk Nazi that led the raid.

Mr. Falls, if you read Thomas Jefferson's words in the Declaration of Independence, you will eventually come to this passage in regards to the actions of King George towards the colonies.

He has erected a multitude of New Offices, and sent hither swarms of Officers to harass our people, and eat out their substance.

Mr. Falls, you are now a modern version of these hithering swarms harassing good Americans and eating out their substance. How you live with yourself is beyond me, and it sickens me knowing I am having my own wealth confiscated from me in the form of state taxes so that you can feed your family while destroying the Dixon family. One day you will have to answer to a higher power for your unjust actions Mr. Falls. You should be ashamed of yourself.

You sit and suck off the taxpayers with your cushy government job as an overfed bureaucrat while this family worked hard on their land. You are a disgrace sir to everything our Republic was founded on.

Add Sheriff Mike Shannon to the Growing List of Missouri Milk Nazis

In your county, you want a Sheriff that is going to protect your Constitutional rights and your private property. In Howell County, Missouri, Sheriff Mike Shannon is not that Sheriff. The Howell County Sheriff played a part in destroying the livelihood of a Missouri farming family at the Morningland Dairy by not taking his oath and the rights of this family seriously. Rather, he sent deputies to do his work, and something one of the deputies says has me quite alarmed hoping the people of Howell County will make sure Shannon doesn't get reelected.




Mike Shannon, Sheriff of Howell County needs to be educated on the authority of his office and his Oath to protect and defend the Constitution of the United States. Sheriff Mike Shannon was not on site at all during the confiscation of 18.2 tons of inventory but he did dispatch 5 deputies to Morningland Dairy that morning to execute and aid in the confiscation and the destruction of Morningland Dairy cheese. The Sheriffs Department representatives on scene that morning were led by Lt. Al Jones. 

During the process the Howell Co. Sheriffs department demanded IDs (without probable cause) from peaceful supports and swatted a camera of one supporter.

Keep in mind folks, had any supporter on site swatted the camera out of the hand of one of the deputies they would have been arrested for assault without question.

The people of Howell County, Missouri should be worried. Around the 11:00 minute mark of the video, the deputy is asked about firearm confiscation. He can't give a clear answer based on his oath to protect and defend the Constitution. He avoids the question, which should tell Howell County residents everything they need to know about Sheriff Mike Shannon and his deputies. They are the kind of people Obama will depend on one day soon.

The camera man is right. If this Deputy Sheriff Al Jones cared about the oath he took to defend the Constitution, he wouldn't have a problem answering this question.

On a side note:

Funny how the Missouri Milk Nazi Don Falls representing the Missouri Milk Board accuses the camera man of harassing him when he is in fact harassing a family who is simply trying to make a living producing healthy food. My parents were raised on raw milk and raw cheese as it was the norm back in the day. This idea that we can't eat something without the government's approval once again enforces the idea for me we truly aren't a free people.

New Lance Armstrong Accusation: Threatened Travis Tygart With a "Bullet to the Head"

One has to wonder if Lance Armstrong is going away for a very long time. More people are claiming Armstrong threatened witnesses during his federal case. Tonight, Travis Tygart was on 60 Minutes accusing Armstrong of lying during the Oprah Winfrey interview. 60 Minutes also interviewed Tyler Hamilton during the segment in order to make the case Armstrong lied to Oprah. Hamilton stuck by his story that Armstrong intimidated him during the time he was a witness to the federal investigation. If Armstrong is found guilty of that, it could be a felony and Armstrong could be headed to prison. Of course intimidating a witness in a federal case is against the law.



It gets worst tonight. Tygart says he received threats during the Lance Armstrong investigation including one promising a "bullet to the head".


Scott Pelley: Your investigation showed that there were personal threats made against riders who had decided to come clean. I wonder if there were any threats against you.

Travis Tygart: There were, Scott.

Scott Pelley: These threats came from where?

Travis Tygart: Emails, letters.

Scott Pelley: Anonymous?

Travis Tygart: Yeah.

Scott Pelley: Can you remember any of the lines from the emails or the letters?

Travis Tygart: The worst was probably putting a bullet in my head.

Scott Pelley: Did you take that seriously?

Travis Tygart: Absolutely. Turned it over to the FBI to investigate it, which they're doing.

Indiana Couple Trying to Save a Deer's Life in Trouble With the Government

If you hit a deer, let it die or face the wrath of big government. This is the lesson we learn from an Indiana couple who is now fighting the government after they attempted to act in a humanitarian way to save the life of a deer.

WTHR reports:


A central Indiana couple faces criminal charges tonight for trying to save an injured deer.

"I've caught a guy that's killed three people," explained Connersville police officer Jeff Counceller.

Counceller has spent his 14 year career as a police officer, locking up the bad guys.

"We've never had any criminal convictions. We're good people," added his wife Jennifer.

The Councellers though, have found themselves on the other side of the law recently. The couple may face 60 days behind bars.

The reason comes down to a little deer Jeff rescued two years ago, after he found it injured on a porch during a police call.

"I was gonna put her back in the woods, but I seen the injuries and I knew they were life threatening so I called Jennifer," recalled Jeff.

Jennifer, a nurse, thought she could help.

"I couldn't let her just die there," said Jennifer.

"We called her little orphan Dani. She's definitely changed our lives," she added.

The couple nursed Dani back to health, even bottle feeding her.

"I had to set my alarm every two hours. We just kind of took turns. Every two hours we had to feed her and irrigate her wounds and spray more medicine on it," explained Jennifer.

"I had her standing up on the second day that I got her back and she was you know, walking and I knew she was making improvements," said Jennifer.

Not enough though, said the Councellers to just release the fawn back into the wild quickly.

"She was just too small to survive," Jennifer explained.

When the Department of Natural Resources learned of the Councellers successful attempt to save the deer, they informed the couple they would have to put the deer down. Their reason? The deer had been around humans too long.

Of course the couple didn't spend time healing the deer back to health only to take its life. You can obviously guess what happened next, which is the reason they now face jail time.

They tried to do everything by the book, which means they needed a permit from the DNR to lawfully rescue the deer. That's right. Government has to grant people permission to save the life of an animal.


Last summer, the Councellers said they were getting ready to let Dani go, but were waiting for the corn crops to mature so she would have something to eat when they released her.

"We had already started decreasing our contact with her, trying to kind of dehumanize her and you know, get her used to us not being there," explained Jennifer.

"We were about six weeks away from turning her loose," added Jeff.

Last July though, the Councellers said they got a visit from an officer with the Department of Natural Resources.

"He asked me if we still had the deer and I told him I did," recalled Jennifer.

"He told me that I could maybe call Indianapolis and maybe get a rescue permit until you know, we could get her released back into the wild. So that's what I tried to do," Jennifer continued.

Jennifer said when she called the DNR's state office, she was turned down.

"She basically just told me that I was in illegal possession of the deer and that they would not give me a rescue permit," recalled Jennifer.

"It just kind of all went downhill from there," she continued.

That's when the order came down to put down the deer. The DNR told the couple the deer was a threat to society. A THREAT TO SOCIETY?

The Indiana DNR demanded the couple shoot the deer with a rifle.

Of course they couldn't bring themselves to do that, so DNR told them they could have a vet euthanize the deer and they could bury it on their property. The vet was on their way when the gate the deer was kept was left open and the deer escaped.

Because of that, they now face jail time. What an evil thing government throughout America has become! Good intentions seem to always have a cost these days. Don't you dare try to save a life in America without permission of your government overlord. In America, the value of life, any life, is quickly discounted as worthless thanks to government.

Dianne Feinstein and Members of Congress Will be Able to Buy AR15s After They Ban Them

Once again, we see from Congress not all men are created equal in the United States. You have the peasants and you have the ruling class. The ruling class exempts themselves from the laws they pass. Take a look at Dianne Feinstein's gun ban bill. Just like Obamacare, the peasants will have to comply with the law while Congress is exempted from the laws.

Not everyone will have to abide by Senator Dianne Feinstein’s gun control bill. If the proposed legislation becomes law, government officials and others will be exempt.

“Mrs. Feinstein’s measure would exempt more than 2,200 types of hunting and sporting rifles; guns manually operated by bolt, pump, lever or slide action; and weapons used by government officials, law enforcement and retired law enforcement personnel,” the Washington Times reports.

The thought among gun control advocates is you control the guns and make them illegal and violent crimes will go down. Well, I lived in Chicago most of my adult life where gun control is among the strictest in the United States. Has violent crime diminished?

Yeah, gun control is really working in Chicago... Once again this year, Chicago looks like it will be the murder capital of the United States. The homicide numbers are on the rise as Obama's buddy Rahm Emanuel  runs the city hoping to push even tougher gun laws.

Milwaukee Sheriff Says You Have a Duty to Protect Yourself With a Firearm

Milwaukee, Wisconsin, is a liberal cesspool. Don't get me wrong. I love hanging out in Milwaukee, but it is not the friendliest place for conservative values.

A new ad from the Sheriff's Department gives hope there are still people with common sense in Milwaukee County. Knowing its southern neighbor Chicago just 80 miles down the road is having real problems with violence in the street, Sheriff David A. Clarke Jr. isn't calling for the same old gun control policies that have failed Chicago residents. Rather, he is telling Milwaukee residents to prepare to defend themselves in a radio spot that is airing throughout the Milwaukee area.




“I need you in the game.”

“With officers laid off and furloughed, simply calling 911 and waiting is no longer your best option,” Clarke intones.

“You could beg for mercy from a violent criminal, hide under the bed, or you can fight back.”

Clarke urges listeners to take a firearm safety course and handle a firearm “so you can defend yourself until we get there.”

“You have a duty to protect yourself and your family. We’re partners now. Can I count on you?”

Kudos to the Milwaukee County Sheriff for realizing the failures of Chicago and urging residents in Milwaukee to take measures to protect themselves knowing law enforcement can't.

Americans love to lie about their sizes. Subway isn't excluded. The sandwich company found everywhere has come under fire after one American measured his $5 foot long at 11". This has caused a national controversy leading Subway to issue an apology and correct the wrong doing.

A county sheriff has great power in that he can demand the federal government, whether it be USDA, EPA, FBI, or the IRS to get off your property if they don't have the proper court records to be there. Now more than ever we need Constitutional sheriffs willing to stand up and carry out their roles as the federal government grows more tyrannical.

It should be no surprise that Mordor on the Potomac (Washington, DC) is looking for ways to lessen the power of the county sheriff. I heard Mike Church discuss this on his show last week. Once again I am reminded of these efforts as the Examiner also talks about the effort to rob county sheriffs of their power is taking place in Delaware.


A news report has been quietly making its way around the alternative media, under the radar screen, concerning a Delaware legal decision to strip county sheriffs of their arrest powers in the state.

The mainstream media has not reported the story, but the son of Vice President Joe Biden, who serves as Attorney General for the state of Delaware, has issued a mandate to county commissioners informing them that sheriffs in the state's three counties no longer have arrest powers.

When the information reached this reporter late yesterday evening, further investigation revealed that there is a nationwide effort to strip local sheriffs of most of their enumerated powers that are mandated in the state constitutions of the various states. Such a move would have the net effect of abolishing local sheriffs departments and strengthening the power of federal law enforcement agencies.

And this is not the first time such an effort has been launched.

In the 1970s an initiative was launched by county supervisors in California to eliminate the office of sheriff, but one supervisor instead was able to persuade two state legislators to get a question placed on the California ballot as to whether or not the office of the sheriff should be an elected office. The measure passed overwhelmingly, and the mandate for elected sheriffs was placed in the state constitution.

And in 1935 President Franklin D. Roosevelt was set to eliminate all of the 48 states in order to implement nine regional governments that would operate as extensions of the federal government. All local law enforcement would be eliminated. The plan failed, but the fact that it was attempted points to an ever present, insidious stealth plan on the part of some within the federal government to take away the right of the people and the states to elect their own local law enforcement and to vastly strengthen the hand of the numerous federal law enforcement agencies that currently operate throughout America.

Proponents of such unconstitutional measures desire to forge a world government of sorts under the control of the United Nations. Various methods are used to expedite this plan, including the infamous 'Agenda 21' that has raised the alarm among some citizens.

The key to the success of the implementation of such plans is enforcement. How would the federal government insure compliance among the states and their citizens?

Dozens of federal agencies have their own law enforcement divisions, and those divisions are growing quickly under the Obama Administration. Homeland Security is purchasing 450 million rounds of hollow point bullets. The IRS will need roughly 16,500 new employees to implement ObamaCare. The White House has just sent $500 million to the IRS to enforce the new healthcare law. The EPA's recent penchant for using heavy handed tactics outside the authority given to it by Congress has placed businesses under the gun and stymied economic recovery. Citizens complain that the agency regularly violates private property rights.

And then there are such agencies as the FBI, ATF, DEA, ICE, and others that are under suspicion for widespread corruption in the Fast and Furious scandal, a fact that has not hampered Congressional Democrats from calling for massive new funding and expanded powers for these agencies.

The move to weaken and dismantle sheriffs offices around the country is viewed by Constitutional watchdogs as an ominous signal in a broader attempt to usurp the rights of citizens on the local level in lieu of an expanded nationalized police force under the control of a federal bureaucracy.

These are scary times and it is important that you help elect Constitutional sheriffs and support those sheriffs.

Obama Loves Shooting Guns While Hoping To Take Away Yours

Obama is proving himself a hypocrite once again. You see, we learn a little secret about Barack. He loves to go shooting and often pulls the trigger while at Camp David.

The New York Times reports of Obama's gun hobby:


“Up at Camp David, we do skeet shooting all the time,” he told The New Republic in the interview, conducted Jan. 16, just after he unveiled his gun proposals.

Asked about his family, he said, “Not the girls, but oftentimes guests of mine go up there. And I have a profound respect for the traditions of hunting that trace back in this country for generations. And I think those who dismiss that out of hand make a big mistake.”

He added that the experience with guns in rural America differed dramatically from that in urban America. “If you grew up and your dad gave you a hunting rifle when you were 10, and you went out and spent the day with him and your uncles, and that became part of your family’s traditions, you can see why you’d be pretty protective of that,” he said.

You know, this is all fine, but Barack Obama, in trying to fit in in this effort to make himself appear like he has this respect for firearms as he skeet shoots makes one big mistake here. The Second Amendment is not, nor has it ever been, about hunting. Arming a free people helps ensure any threat to freedom can be held in check. That's part of the dialog Obama doesn't seem comfortable in talking about.

Springfield Smoking Nazis Hurt Business for Springfield Bar

Stop the smoking and they will come. Such was one of the arguments made by the anti smoking crowd in Springfield. These people managed to make such a promise while stomping on the private property rights of small business owners throughout Springfield, Missouri. Well, the city of Springfield managed to make smoking illegal in public places, but that hasn't increased the business of non-smokers to certain establishments either.

Ozarks First reports how Springfield's smoking ban has forced one Springfield business owner to close its doors.


Knightyme Bar & Billiards near West Bypass and Division Street will close its doors on Super Bowl Sunday (Feb. 3).

Jim Knight, the owner of the neighborhood spot, says the smoking ban is largely to blame for his business' demise.

"It's my life," says Knight. When the smoke cleared, so did his customers. "We're probably down 50-60 percent and sometimes more."

Friends and loyal customers have been stopping by the bar to say goodbye; they've shared stories around the tables for the last 20 years.

"Coming in here to wish me good luck and to thank me for all the years and all the good times that they had and they're going to miss this place."

Not even the $8,000 it took for heaters and a back porch could save Knightyme Bar.

"We all come here. This is our bar," says Leonard Meese. He started coming to the bar years ago.

"Leonard that you interviewed," adds Knight. "Bud Light bottle -- always."

It's a place where they know your name, and your drink.

"Yesterday was especially rough," says Diana Burky, who'll soon be out of a job. "Well this is my home, you know. I've worked here 13 years. This is my family. I'm not sure what I'm going to do without them."

Congratulations smoking Nazis of Springfield, Missouri. You made the promises that a smoke free Springfield would be a better Springfield for commerce, and then you didn't show up. Now one small business owner is closing his doors and people are out jobs.

For the record, I hate cigarettes, but I love freedom, liberty, and private property rights. Unfortunately, most people in Springfield love their tyranny and hate cigarettes. Just another reason Springfield, Missouri, sucks!

Hillary Clinton says we are in an information war. She also says the United States is losing the information war as she calls for more money for the state department. She also says the private media isn't filling in the gap as she tries to make the case the federal government, who is in bed with the private media, represents our values as she calls for this increase in the propaganda war.



So the relationship between government and the mainstream media has turned away viewers as people look for news that presents a different kind of truth--one without the Obama slant--and obviously the State Department is nervous.

Let's identify the people in the state of Missouri who are responsible for a family farm's destruction. The Missouri Milk Board (aka The Missouri Milk Nazis) raided the Morningland Family Farm yesterday destroying over 30,000 pounds of cheese according to sources while putting the livelihood of this family in real jeopardy. This would be like the IRS coming into your house and burning your wealth.

Remember, not one person reported an illness



This is going on in America. It's hard for me to wave the American flag these days knowing tyranny is what exist in America and has become the norm. We aren't a free people when we can't even have freedom of food we put into our bodies without a government bureaucrat's permission.

Missouri Milk Nazis, I Hate Missouri Milk Nazis

I can't say enough how outraged I am about the lack of milk freedom in Missouri and throughout the United States. The way government raids dairy farms these days seems like a page taken from their war in drugs. The Missouri Milk Nazis have struck again raiding the Morningland Farm to destroy 29,000 pounds of cheese--cheese a free people like you and me should be able to choose to put in our bodies without the government's permission. Once again, I beg you to realize the lack of freedom that exists throughout the United States.

The Missouri Milk Board ordered 29,000 pounds of raw cheese to be destroyed. Friday morning state officials came to the Morningland Diary farm to empty the cooler filled with the cheese. During the course of the 2 year battle the cheese has been sitting in the semi trailer cooler. Owners of the farm say it was a estimated 250-300 thousand dollars worth of cheese. Morningland Dairy has stopped producing cheese and has stopped the business all together. Supporters against destroying the cheese came out to rally against the ruling.



Only government cheese is best cheese... Perhaps a Rainmakers (a great Missouri band) rewrite is in order, and I do know the lead singer has read BBCW articles in the past and commented on them. Could we get a Rainmakers local version of Farm Aid to support these farmers and fight war on milk?

Who says government produces jobs. This looks like another case of government destroying jobs and small business while people go hungry in this horrible economy.

Losing the Faith: The Communion Cup is Now a Health Risk

On the news this morning, I hear that churches are reconsidering the one-cup approach to the communion cup. Churches fear the health issues surrounding the cup the entire church shares upon taking communion. Is this another sign of the loss of faith in the church?

This is nothing knew. It is a concern that has existed as KY3 reports this morning more churches are looking to multiple cups.

I am reminded of the pre-Christmas story. At Christmas time we often forget God blessed this world with two miracle babies. There of course was Mary and the immaculate conception that gave birth to the savior. Then there was Elisabeth, cousin of Mary and wife to Zacharias. Elisabeth was well beyond the years of being able to bear a child.

An angel of the Lord appeared to Zacharias to tell him Elisabeth would be blessed with a child. Zacharias had his doubts, and the angel silenced Zacharias for the nine months of Elizabeth's pregnancy. In the story of Zacharias we learn of faith and the penalties associated sometimes with doubting God. Zacharias was given a set of commands. One of these commands was that this child would not drink wine.

Now this was significant as well, it was another test of faith. In those days, the water was far from safe and the alcohol in the wine killed dangerous bacteria. Zacharias obviously learned after the first instance, that he should not doubt the Lord despite the obvious dangers with the water. In doing so, Zacharias placed faith in God.

Of course the child Elisabeth gave birth to was John the Baptist, whose role was to baptize Jesus. I look to the story of Zacharias reminding churches who are questioning their religions traditions of one cup that it is faith they should look to before they carelessly part ways with a centuries old tradition.
