Cynthia Chase: Liberty Loving People are the Biggest Threat to New Hampshire?
Have you heard about the New Hampshire Free State Project? It's a movement in New Hampshire that is encourages liberty minded people to come to New Hampshire to reclaim the state's claim to fame as the live free or die state. Apparently, not everyone in New Hampshire shares the enthusiasm for promoting liberty and freedom in New Hampshire.
This libertarian movement in New Hampshire was recently attacked by Democrat State Representative Cynthia Chase.
“In the opinion of this Democrat, Free Staters are the single biggest threat [New Hampshire] is facing today. There is, legally, nothing we can do to prevent them from moving here to take over the state, which is their openly stated goal. In this country you can move anywhere you choose, and they have that same right. What we can do is to make the environment here so unwelcoming that some will choose not to come, and some may actually leave. One way is to pass measures that will restrict the ‘freedoms’ that they think they will find here. Another is to shine the bright light of publicity on who they are and why they are coming.” (“New Hampshire Legislator: We Need To ‘Restrict Freedoms’ of Conservatives,” Warner Todd Huston, Jan. 3, 2013)
So we have a Democrat who is quite open about passing legislation to restrict freedom. At least she's honest about it, unlike the Christian County Republican Central Committee in Missouri who launched a war against these very same liberty minded people calling claiming they wished to hijack the Republican party last year, taking out a full ad in the Christian County Headliner.
What is it about liberty that has people so scared? Mention the word libertarian, who Ronald Reagan himself had an admiration for even going so far as saying "the heart of conservatism in libertarianism."
Did you ever think you would see liberty under attack in the United States? Here we have the Free State Project, which encourages New Hampshire businesses to hire conservative liberty minded people to return New Hampshire to its live free or die ways, and we have members of the state government penly threatening to pass restrictions on their freedoms in New Hampshire to keep this movement from succeeding and removing morons like Representative Cynthia Chase out of office.
These are sad times in America, and both parties are passing laws that restrict freedoms. As well, both parties are battling against liberty minded people. I have seen it in the Republican party here in Christian County. It is something liberty minded people are going to have to stand against. Tyranny just isn't taking place in the Obama White House.

I had to read the name under the picture to make sure that wasn't a dude.
ReplyDeleteAsk yourself what kind of people would elect someone who looks like this. This state is going down, like the country at large.
