Going Gun Shopping With Mom Today

My mom and I went out early today to go shopping. She had notified me she was going to take her conceal and carry license and was looking for a new hand gun. After noting some of my preferences, it was time to go look knowing we were also sending a clear message to Barack Obama as gun sales are skyrocketing with Obama threatening the Second Amendment.

We got to Academy Sports just after 9:00 AM this morning knowing their prices are good and I would have to deal with that Tom kid who works the counter at the Bass Pro Shops claiming to be a big shot in the gun industry. We were out for serious means, not for a laugh.

As I expected, a large crowd of people gathered around the mostly empty gun cases where a run on ammo and firearms obviously had taken place. People were buying. The ammo shelves are mostly empty. The man behind the counter says they can't keep the AR-15s in stock, and they quickly flew off the shelves as word went out they may not have much longer to purchase them.

My mom went through a variety of nine millimeter semi-automatic hand guns as she looked for something that felt good in her hand. She did eventually pick on out--not the firearm I recommended. However, I am impressed as I think she found a nice piece.

The workers are the store were keeping the Sheriff's office busy running background checks. It was a slow process this morning, but the manager walked the firearm up to the front of the store. She paid for it, and out the door we went sending Barack Obama another message that we aren't going to tolerate any hint of him stepping on our rights. We sent a message to leave our gun rights alone by voting with our pocket books. I am glad to say there were many other Americans too who also were sending Obama the same message.

It is true what they say. Barack Obama is one heck of a gun salesman.

Now like all the other Americans who are in gun stores this weekend purchasing firearms, my mother as will I will responsibly user our weapons in legal ways. The media can distort the gun owner all they want, but we know 99.9% of us who go out and purchase firearms will never illegally fire that weapon. The facts are there to back that up.
