A Paper Gun Gets Philadelphia Student Kicked out of School

It's paper. Apparently you can do lots with it at school. You can write on it. Draw on it. Color it. Create something with it. Paint it. Fold it. Even create a fortune teller using origami techniques, but don't you dare use the same techniques to make the paper into a shape of a gun or you will face the consequences of having your rights stripped in front of you and expelled from the public school systems.

Such is the case for a South Philadelphia elementary student.

Melody Valentin was given the “paper gun,” which amounted to little more than a sheet of A4 paper with a corner torn off, by her grandfather before she put it in her pocket and forgot all about it.

When a school administrator found the piece of paper, Valentin was verbally chastised in front of the whole class and, according to her mother, even threatened with arrest. Valentin was also searched as the other children looked on.

“He yelled at me and said I shouldn’t have brought the gun to school, but I kept telling him it was a paper gun and he wouldn’t listen,” said Valentin .

Yes, these are the idiots running the asylums known as the public schools. They have forever humiliated this girl, making an example out of her, because she spent some time with her grandpa and forgot there was a piece of paper in her pocket.

Good grief! My grandpa would have been public enemy number one with the Philadelphia School District, and he was the best man I have ever known. He made us rubber band guns and made sure we had plenty of ammo using old tractor tire inner tubes. Industrial ammo at that!

Don't these stories of these crazed educators destroying a child in front of their classmates and reducing them to tears inspire you to home school your children? In fact, let me share another thought with you.

What do you think is more dangerous?

Would it be the AR15 in my closet that sits there hurting no one?

Or would it be the public school official that has the power to reduce a little girl to tears all because she enjoys a relationship with her grandfather and forgot about a piece of paper she put into her pocket after sharing some fun times with gramps?

I would argue the people running our schools are far more dangerous.

Along with the other two boys That love drawing characters with creative looking guns, or some type of weapon. What is going on here??? I do not understand why anyone would agree with the little kids being accused of being some kind of terror threat with their pieces of paper, pink hello kitty bubble guns, and finger assault weapons.... REALLY? Is that the future for my Children and their Children's children? I know I am not the only parent thats frustrated with this ridiculousness !!!!! Wow we are all in trouble if that's the case....
