And the Republicans Sell Us Out in Fiscal Cliff Deal

Something tells me this deal has been in the works, and what Americans observed this evening and over the past few days was just political theater. In their final act of 2012, the GOP has sold their conservative base out. We now have been "saved from the fiscal cliff" in a deal where Republicans got nothing.

President Obama and Senate Republicans reached a sweeping deal late Monday that would let income taxes rise significantly for the first time in more than two decades, fulfilling Obama’s promise to raise taxes on the rich and averting the worst effects of the “fiscal cliff.”

Oh but it gets better. Not only are Republicans going to help Obama get his wanted tax increases, they also refused to put the brakes on spending. Rand Paul calls the fiscal cliff deal nothing more than a large spending bill.

“Not only are they raising taxes — maybe on a smaller percentage of people but a large amount of money — but they’re also going to spend more money,” Paul said. “So it’s a spending bill.”

Why am I not surprised the Republicans caved and got nothing. Just as I predicted...

Hobby Lobby, Obamacare, and the Eighth Amendment

David Green is the CEO of the Christian based companies Hobby Lobby and Mardel Christian books. He is also battling the Obama administration as the federal government begins punishing Green for not complying with Obamacare.

Green says he has religious freedom in the United States and Obamacare infringes upon his religious beliefs by forcing his companies to cover the controversial abortion pill, RU486. Green soon found himself in federal court quickly realizing that America is no longer a free country.

The federal overlords using the Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals determined Green is guilty of not complying with the federal Obamacare law; therefore, he must be punished for the good of all his other citizens. Have you seen the punishment?

As long as Green fights the Obamacare law and refuses to comply with the new healthcare law, his companies will be fined $1.3 million dollars a day. Let me repeat that. This Oklahoma City based company--out of a red state who clearly voted against Obama--will face $1.3 million in fines per day if they don't comply with the emergency contraception mandates in the Obamacare law.

I am sitting here scratching my head asking what about Green's Constitutional rights. Not only is the federal government challenging his religious beliefs, they are also imposing outrageous fines on Mr. Green. Let me remind the Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals what the Eighth Amendment states.

Excessive bail shall not be required, nor excessive fines imposed, nor cruel and unusual punishments inflicted.

No excessive fines imposed...

Doesn't $1.3 million a day for not complying with Obamacare because it conflicts with your religious beliefs seem excessive?

It does to me.

Defying Obamacare: Hobby Lobby Has a New Customer

Hobby Lobby is a Christian company. It doesn't approve of the birth control mandates (morning after pill) in Obamacare, and it has chosen not to comply with the new law which takes in full effect in October 2013, the beginning of the fiscal year.

In more proof freedom is a dying industry in the United States, Hobby Lobby is being raped and pillaged by this federal government that makes these claims it represents a free people. For everyday Hobby Lobby defies the the federal government's Obamacare mandate they will be fined $1.3 million. Wasn't it Obama himself that denied this was a job killer? It's not just a job killer, it's a business killer. This isn't freedom.

The Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals will begin collecting the fines tomorrow, January 1, 2013, if Hobby Lobby refused to comply to the mandate.

David Green, the company's CEO, is fighting back. He explains the philosophy of Hobby Lobby:

“We’re Christians, and we run our business on Christian principles. I’ve always said that the first two goals of our business are (1) to run our business in harmony with God’s laws, and (2) to focus on people more than money. And that’s what we’ve tried to do. We close early so our employees can see their families at night. We keep our stores closed on Sundays, one of the week’s biggest shopping days, so that our workers and their families can enjoy a day of rest. We believe that it is by God’s grace that Hobby Lobby has endured, and he has blessed us and our employees. We’ve not only added jobs in a weak economy, we’ve raised wages for the past four years in a row. Our full-time employees start at 80% above minimum wage. ” David Green  (December 1, 2012)

I would love for Obama and his tyrannical Obamacare mandate police to wake up tomorrow morning with signs on the doors of Hobby Lobby and Mardel Christian Book Stores (also owned by the Green Family) with a Gone Galt sign on all their stores.

I know I am going to make a point to look at Hobby Lobby as a place to do business in support of David Green.

Ron Paul Enforces America Has Already Gone Off the Fiscal Cliff

I have been saying for weeks since this idea of falling off the fiscal cliff began coming out of our dishonest politicians mouths that we are already off the fiscal cliff. We are more than $16 trillion in debt and there is over $100 trillion in unaccounted for liabilities like Social Security. We fell off the cliff years ago and both Republicans and Democrats are responsible.

Ron Paul was enforcing this idea this weekend.

Congressman Paul, entering his last week in Congress, exposed the political theater of the fiscal cliff on CNBC.

“We have passed the point of no return where we can actually get our house back in order,” Paul begins, adding that “they pretend they are fighting up there, but they really aren’t. They are arguing over power, spin, who looks good, who looks bad; all trying to preserve the system where they can spend what they want, take care of their friends and print money when they need it.” With social safety nets available to rich and poor, there is no impetus for change and “the country loses,” but Paul concludes, the markets are starting to say “there is a limit to this.”

It's up to you citizen to choose a side in this.. the red team or the blue team, and they hope you won't catch on to the fact we are already over the cliff.

Goodbye Pierce Morgan, Don't Let the Door Hit You On Your Way Out

CCN's Pierce Morgan says he is going to leave the United States if the Second Amendment isn't repealed.

“Although I love the country as a second home and one that has treated me incredibly well, I would, as a concerned parent first – and latterly, of a one-year-old daughter who may attend an American elementary school like Sandy Hook in three years’ time – seriously consider deporting myself,” Morgan wrote for the Daily Mail, a British publication.

Let the deportation begin. I guess Morgan is another intellectually bankrupt talking head on CNN who either can't admit or refuses to discover these mass shootings happen in Europe as well.

Barack Obama has Killed More Children than Adam Lanza

Democrats and liberals want to ban gun ownership for Americans who obey the law. They point to the 26 children who were tragically killed at Sandy Hook Elementary School as their justification for gun control. Yet, these very same people reelected one of the most brutal slaughterers of children in my lifetime--Barack Obama.

While doing some research this morning, I came across an article about the upcoming documentary Drones Exposed. The blood of 178 children are on Barack Obama's hands and he continues to bomb Pakistan and Yemen without any declaration of war with drones. These bombs are dropping with no regard to the United States Constitution.

Yet, I don't hear liberals outraged demanding Barack Obama be prosecuted for war crimes against children. I don't hear them calling for Obama's itchy trigger finger and these weapons that are killing far more children to be banned. Barack Obama has killed more children with his weapons than 99.9% of all gun owners, including AR-15 owners, have ever considered even in their minds committing crimes against.

Why aren't the liberals concerned over the deaths Obama created with his orders to attack countries we aren't even at war with with drones?

I remember singing a song in Sunday School called Jesus Loves the Little Children...

Jesus loves the little children
All the children of the world
Black and yellow, red and white
They're all precious in His sight
Jesus loves the little children of the world

Why is it these lives don't seem important in our "Christian" nation? Do their parents not experience the same pain as the Sandy Hook parents after Obama gives the order to bomb?

Where is the outrage by the mainstream media, who is quick to judge you for owning a gun in hopes to save another child's life but fails to condemn Barack Obama for taking the lives of innocent children?

Maybe it's time to outlaw Barack Obama and his toys.

Billy Long on the Fiscal Cliff: Pressure on Long in the 11th Produced Bad Results

Congressman Billy Long, not lot looking much like the 8 Hour Diet is working, gave a rare interview to KOLR. In the interview, Congressman Long stresses he believes a deal will be made in the 11th hour to keep us from going off the imaginary fiscal cliff Washington is using to justify raising taxes. I remind Congressman Long, at over $16 trillion in national debt, which Long's name is now on, combined with over $100 trillion in unfunded liabilities in the form of Social Security, Medicare, and other promises, we have long gone over the fiscal cliff.

Here's Billy Long talking about the 11th hour once again without giving us much insight into what is really going on in Washington. When Billy Long talks the 11th hour, Southwest Missouri should get nervous because this is the time with John Beohner twists the easily influenced fed up Congressman and gets Billy to do everything we didn't expect Billy to do.

59 minutes into the 11th hour...

Time to change the subject and talk about all the name calling going on rather than be put on the spot about how I am going to be manipulated by John Boehner, who said the day after Obama was reelected he would consider tax increases.

Congressman Long says what he and his cronies are trying to do is cut spending saying we cannot continue to spend 43% more than we take in daily. You can't disagree with Congressman Billy on this one; however, Billy Long's record is not one that shows Long is serious about cutting spending. Long and the Republicans couldn't even get $100 billion in spending cuts as Long was too worried about the impact on the military that would take place if National Guard decals were removed from Dale Earnhardt Jr's stock car.

Of course, this 11th hour rhetoric has been used by Billy Long before. Long said he was opposed to voting for the debt ceiling, but in the 11th hour, Long sided with Boehner and voted for the largest debt ceiling increase in the history of the  United States--$2.4 trillion. Of course this $2.4 trillion was spent in record time which means Billy Long's name is all over the United States plummeting off the fiscal cliff.

So here's Long once again talking about the fiscal cliff, promising us he won't raise taxes. I remind you about that promise to cut spending and not raise the debt ceiling led too.

BBCW Wacky Liberal of the Year 2012: Sandra Fluke

This year's winner of the BBCW Wacky Liberal of the Year Award goes to Sandra Fluke. You remember Sandra don't you?

Fluke was the 30 old law school student paying the expensive tuition of Georgetown University who would rather complain she can't afford her birth control so she can get laid without any consequences rather than go out and get a real job. She believes someone else should make sure she can use her body anyway she wants and someone else pay for her birth control pills.

Of course, it may be very likely Fluke doesn't even like guys. Her degree at Cornell is in Feminist, Gender, & Sexuality Studies. It wouldn't surprise me if she is just another liberal trained by the Obama administration in the rules for radicals. It was discovered there were ties to the White House.

So there you have it, Sandra Fluke is the 2012 Wacky Liberal of the Year!

Of course honorable mention goes to Todd Hartley, who in recent days gave Fluke a run for her money.

Margaret Thatcher Was Upset at Ronald Reagan Over the Falklands

If you were watching NBC News last night, there was a story about some Reagan documents coming out into public view after 30 years. The documents regard Reagan's relationship with England, specifically Queen Elizabeth and Margaret Thatcher. While the relationship with the Queen is not one that interests me in that I believe they are nothing more than a family whose history is long past and do little more than suck off the British taxpayer, it is the story between Ronald Reagan and Maggie Thatcher that I found interesting.

Now we know in Ronald Reagan's diary he had regrets about using the military during his presidency. In the diaries we learn that Reagan, much like today's administrations, don't fully understand the complicated political landscapes of the Middle East:

"Perhaps we didn't appreciate fully enough the depth of the hatred and the complexity of the problems that made the Middle East such a jungle. Perhaps the idea of a suicide car bomber committing mass murder to gain instant entry to Paradise was so foreign to our own values and consciousness that it did not create in us the concern for the Marines' safety that it should have. In the weeks immediately after the bombing, I believed the last thing that we should do was turn tail and leave. Yet the irrationality of Middle Eastern politics forced us to rethink our policy there. If there would be some rethinking of policy before our men die, we would be a lot better off. If that policy had changed towards more of a neutral position and neutrality, those 241 Marines would be alive today."

What's interesting is Reagan took a more neutral policy when it came to Great Britain's battle with Argentina for the Falklands. Once again I am reminded that Reagan didn't believe the use of force was the way to solve conflict much like we have seen since the adoption of the Bush Doctrine.

As the documents, Margaret Thatcher was a little irritated with Reagan during the Falkland conflict between England and Argentina, which Thatcher used force. Ronald Reagan, like Ron Paul would have, begged to negotiate a peaceful solution, and for this Maggie was upset at Reagan.

GMO Rice Now Engineered with Human Genes

As if the news in the agriculture community couldn't get any more disturbing. GMO crops already allow the plant to soak up large amounts of toxins, like Monsanto's Roundup, without killing the plant. I probably don't need to tell you what happens if the plant soaks up these dangerous chemicals and you wind up eating them what it could be doing to your body. (Think cancer here.)

Well, we have a report from the Liberty Beacon that human genes are now be genitally engineered into rice crops in Kansas.

Unless the rice you buy is certified organic, or comes specifically from a farm that tests its rice crops for genetically modified (GM) traits, you could be eating rice tainted with actual human genes. The only known GMO with inbred human traits in cultivation today, a GM rice product made by biotechnology company Ventria Bioscience is currently being grown on 3,200 acres in Junction City, Kansas — and possibly elsewhere — and most people have no idea about it.

Since about 2006,Ventria has been quietly cultivating rice that has been genetically modified (GM) with genes from the human liver for the purpose of taking the artificial proteins produced by this “Frankenrice” and using them in pharmaceuticals. With approval from the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA),Ventria has taken one of the most widely cultivated grain crops in the world today, and essentially turned it into a catalyst for producing new drugs.

Todd Hartley Says Women Who Own Guns Have Small Penises

Todd Hartley has penis on the brain
and diarrhea of the mouth.
The craziness of the left and their attacks against law abiding Americans continue. Take Tood Hartley who compares gun ownership with the penis psychology of Sigmund Freud. This crazy liberal should get honorable mention as a BBCW Wacky Liberal of the Year for 2012 as he claims women who own guns have small penises. How is that even possible?

I love how the left tries to insult every honest gun owner as if every gun owner is part of the collective of all the criminal actions in America. Obviously, there is a huge flaw in this argument considering 99% of gun owners never commit a crime with their firearms. As well, why is it liberals always ignore the numbers. Where conceal and carry laws exists, crimes go down.

Where gun laws exist, crime goes up just like you can easily prove in Chicago where 911 response times have grown longer while citizens can't protect themselves in their own homes. Yet Todd Hartley believe we should talk about penises instead of facts. (language warning if you push play)

In Hartley's piece that appeared in the Aspen Times he argues women who own guns have small penises. This sounds like a girl you don't want to meet at the local bar, and I am not saying this because she is a legal gun owner.

Do you remember a few years ago when people were buying millions of Hummers? To me, those Hummer owners were a lot like gun owners. They had an inflated sense of their own self-importance, and they thought owning a massive tank-like vehicle made them somehow more virile and masculine. Then the rest of us pointed out that owning a Hummer was an obvious sign of a person making up for a physical shortcoming, and Hummer went out of business virtually overnight.

So, since I'm not particularly concerned about the National Rifle Association ruining my political career, I'll be the one to say it: If you own multiple guns or feel the need to possess a military-style assault weapon, it's because you have a small penis.

Let me clarify that statement a little, if I may. Owning a handgun to protect your home and your family is fine. Owning a rifle or shotgun for hunting or target shooting is also fine. But owning lots of guns or pseudo-machine guns means you have a tiny wiener and you're incredibly self-conscious about it. That's the plain and simple truth, even if it's not true.

Now, I know a lot of you are probably saying to yourselves, “But Todd, plenty of women also own guns. What about them? Do they have small penises, too?”

My answer to that question would be: yes. Yes they do. Women who own assault weapons have tiny penises, just like their male counterparts. That would explain why they're angry enough to buy a weapon whose sole purpose is to kill as many people as possible as quickly as possible.

Actually, Mr. Hartley, the Chinese bought the Hummer brand from General Motors and its fall had more to do with the mismanagement of General Motors and those pesky unions demanding each other than it did from a lack of appeal from the brand. The brand was quite successful.

Here's this crazy liberal pushing the idea people who own guns have small penises. What has Mr. Hartley done actual research in this? Did he bring gun owners into a room and ask to see their penises? Or did he contact Enzyte and compare the list of Enzyte customers to the number of registered gun owners in the United States?

Perhaps Mr. Hartley has a man crush on Smiling Bob...

Mr. Hartley, you brought up the Second Amendment in your article.

Of course, this being America, the home of the Second Amendment, I harbor no illusions that such a program will ever become reality here. The gun lobby in this country would never allow something so sensible, and our elected officials, worthless as they are, clearly don't have the guts to make it happen anyway. Thus, I think we need to look at other ways to curb gun violence.

Let me remind you Mr. Hartley what the Second Amendment says.

A well regulated militia being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed.

Mr. Hartley, you do understand the Second Amendment was placed in the Bill of Rights to allow you to enjoy that other freedom, you know the one that allows you to write such drivel as you salivate over visions of penises dancing in your head?

Of course Mr. Hartley doesn't want to look at the truth that mental illness and psychotropic drugs were all a part of these mass murders in recent years. It's all the guns fault and you have a small penis if you don't agree.

For this article, please grant Mr. Hartley an honroable mention as BBCW's Wacky Liberal of the Year. While he should be ranked number one for his idiotic rant, I am sure you will see tomorrow's winner earned it.

BBCW Wacky Liberal of the Year 2012: #2 Timothy Geithner

Be a good citizen. Pay your taxes. Pay lots of taxes. Don't question any of your taxes and trust your federal overlord to come up with what they believe is a fair tax rate.

Yet, our founding fathers fought a revolution over what they felt was an oppressive tax rate, which was far less than what we are paying today. Actually, it was far less than what their fellow Brits were paying across the pond under King George's command.

This year, Timothy Geithner didn't have any problems with confusing rights with privileges and reminding us once again we really aren't free in America.

"That’s the kind of balance you need," said Geithner. "Why is that the case? Because if you don't try to generate more revenues through tax reform, if you don't ask, you know, the most fortunate Americans to bear a slightly larger burden of the privilege of being an American, then you have to -- the only way to achieve fiscal sustainability is through unacceptably deep cuts in benefits for middle class seniors, or unacceptably deep cuts in national security."

In 2012, you must purchase your privilege of being an American through higher taxes according to Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner....

It should be noted Geithner evaded his duty that ensured his privileges before becoming Treasury Secretary. Remember, Tim Geithner is a tax cheat.

He is worthy of the #2 spot on the list as he maintains the status quo of the Federal Reserve, a small group of private bankers who control the economy, who, by they way, have helped make your weekly pay check worth less and less through what they call quantitative easing.

The River Fitness Center?: The Entertainment Mega Churches Expand

One of the sad realizations for me in 2012 has been what I call the decline of the reverent church in America. The old churches, which filled you with is feeling of reverence with their stained glass windows, the Sunday choir in robes with organ accompaniment  and traditional styling are an endangered species in America. They are being replaced with large entertainment centers that turn worship into a rock concert like experience with stage lighting, a rock band playing Christian anthems over traditional hymns, and men and women dressing down. When I was a kid, you would never think about worshiping God in anything but your best clothes. Now, more and more people look like they are showing up for a Jimmy Buffett concert with shorts and flip flops on most summer Sundays. The reverence I knew as a child is dying.

People go to church these days to be entertained. I hear it in budget planning where to keep the church growing for the future, a million dollars must be spent to make the church visually stimulating for children. They need videos. They need games. When I was a kid, it was the Bible we needed and while Sunday School probably wasn't the most entertaining hour of the week, it was effective as I knew many stories of the Bible, some I probably don't recall as much as an adult these days due to the shift.

This was enforced yesterday as a local church was advertising their fitness club on television, noting the prices were affordable. Fitness club? Is this what the collection plate demanding my 10% going to envision and create? I am pretty sure I can't find in the Bible where man is instructed to turn their churches into fitness clubs with spin bikes, weights, and Zumba classes. The church hasn't stopped there, they are competing against other fitness clubs for the almighty dollar by advertising their fitness club on TV.

Now from what I understand, churches aren't supposed to be businesses. They are non-profit, tax exempt institutions. It appears to me salvation has become big business.

You can now go to church and get a massage and then sit at the bar and enjoy a smoothie after hiring a personal trainer. This just seems absurd to me.

In the Bible, we learn Jesus did show his temper in and actually used physical force. Of course, this physical force wasn't from lifting weights at The River Fitness Center, rather it was used against those who turned the church into a place of commercial activities.

Mark 11:15 15 And they came to Jerusalem. And he entered the temple and began to drive out those who sold and those who bought in the temple, and he overturned the tables of the money-changers and the seats of those who sold pigeons. (The inconvenience of those Sunday school lessons as a child... This story always made an impression.)

In 2012, I have thought about how much I miss the traditional church with the Sunday choir and the reverence I experienced as a child from the church (the people). It seems like everyone wants to be entertained and churches feel like they must entertain to get people in the doors these days. Perhaps the fall of Christianity in America as we are watching take place isn't happening outside the church. It's happening within as churches feel the need to offer more than just the word of God, the materialism and vanity of man, to get people in the doors these days.

What's Next? Prozac for Dogs...

I am sitting here watching Good Morning America this morning before going off and exchanging hours for dollars. They are reporting dogs are getting depressed.

They show that dogs are living more comfortable, obviously influenced by our materialist society, and point to Paris Hilton's dog house mansion with chandeliers and air conditioning. While that is an extreme example there is no doubt dogs have got it made as the pet industry expands to pamper our four-legged friends. Ironic isn't it? The more they have the more reports of depression.

The Good Morning America show points out how this new light that simulates sunlight for dogs is the cure to a bluesy puppy. Really?

So are we such a pathetic society these days that we refuse to put our dogs on the leash for a couple hours of sunshine each day?

Good grief!

What's next? Prozac for dogs...

As the Obama Administration Orders Billions of Rounds of Ammo...

They left out the Department of Education from the stack. Remember it was the Department of Education who ordered military grade shotguns last year and then conducted a raid at a woman's house who had failed to pay back her federal student loan...

Toy Gun Control Now Being Imposed by Parents After Sandy Hook

Just before Christmas, I walked into Ozark's new Dollar General store. On the end cap was a collection of plastic toy guns. They don't make these things as nice as back in the day when we played war and cowboys in the backyard.

I thought to myself if Dollar General was located in a more liberal community these things wouldn't be on the shelf after Sandy Hook. There is now evidence to suggest that is the case.

One Chicago mother, Anupy Singla, had been wrestling for months with whether to keep the Nerf revolver-style blasters that her daughters, ages 7 and 10, enjoyed playing with, several times tossing them into the trash and then retrieving them.

Her indecision ended abruptly on Dec. 14, as she watched the coverage of the shootings at Sandy Hook Elementary School, where 20-year-old gunman Adam Lanza killed 26 people and himself after fatally shooting his mother at home.

“It was just something that inside me really snapped,” said Singla, 44, a cookbook author and food writer, and she threw the playthings away.

I find the geographic location of Singla's residence the most interesting. Having lived in Chicago, I am fully aware of Chicago and Illinois tough gun control laws. Chicago has become murder central despite all the bans on guns in the city, and yet idiots like Singla don't seem capable of waking up and realizing what happens to a populous that has been robbed from the right to bear arms.

She would rather blame violence on Nerf guns, kind of like we hear marijuana is a gateway drug. The rhetoric they use to control us into submission baffles myself.

Thomas Jefferson once stated, "“Laws that forbid the carrying of arms...disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crimes... Such laws make things worse for the assaulted and better for the assailants; they serve rather to encourage than to prevent homicides, for an unarmed man may be attacked with greater confidence than an armed man.”

Chicago is proof of that. Yet, rather than teach her children of the responsibility that each American has in the Second Amendment and the responsibility of gun safety, Singla believes the the solution to solve the violence in America is to impose toy gun control. This is insane, especially when you live in Chicago--a town that proves gun control laws don't work.

Oh but the craziness gets better.

New Jersey is another liberal state that makes it harder to own a gun.  Eileen Zyko Wolter hails from Jersey and began a toy gun prohibition for her children after Sandy Hook.

“I felt like they needed to understand that play guns could lead to real-life consequences,” said Wolter, 41, of Summit, N.J., a blogger. “If you’re aiming a play gun and shooting it, you’re practicing shooting at people.”

Good grief! I played cowboy, especially The Lone Ranger, when I was growing up. I had all sorts of toy guns. While I have pointed many a toy gun at kids in the neighborhood, I have never pointed a gun at an individual with only one exception, when I was playing war games in the Army and my M-16 was transformed into a laser tag gun for the training. Other than that, I have never once considered pointing a gun at anyone and am very strict at the gun range that barrel faces down range at all times.

Millions of children grew up playing with toy guns, and I know many of them are now responsible gun owners who too have never pointed a gun at another individual. Perhaps if we really educated children rather than push the rhetoric coming from the government, we might have a generation of children who understand guns don't kill. People kill. Perhaps some churchin' might help to build a moral conscience in these matters.

BBCW Wacky Liberal of the Year #3: Congress Critter Jane Harman

"Those who give up liberty for security deserve neither," Benjamin Franklin once said.

So what happens when the federal government uses the laws Congress passes that destroy our Constitutional rights in the name of national security against members of Congress?

Well, they get mad.

Meet Democratic Congress critter from California Jane Harman. Harman voted for the Fourth Amendment killing Patriot Act. Soon there after she would discover the federal government was spying on her.

Harman of course thought the federal government was only using the Patriot Act to catch those radical Islamic terrorists. She found out the hard way when you give up liberty for security what can go wrong.

The Congresswoman wrote Attorney General Eric Holder that she is outraged the federal government wiretapped her private conversations. Well Congresswoman, you reap what you sow. I wonder how many other Congress critters the President and his thugs are wiretapping?

Roy Blunt Votes to Allow Obama and Feds Power to Read Your E-Mail and Text Messages

Dana Loesch is a fool. She and her St. Louis Tea Party gave Roy Blunt entry into their Tea Party without considering Blunt's total disregard for the Constitution in past votes, specifically the Fourth Amendment (Patriot Act). Today, we find once again Senator Blunt voting against the Constitution, once again the Fourth Amendment.

Senator Rand Paul sent out the following e-mail today:

Obama is spying on you, and you don't even know it.

He can read your emails, look at your text messages, and listen to your phone calls - and he doesn't even need a warrant to do it.

Under President Obama, the surveillance state is expanding at an alarming rate to the point that virtually every man, woman, and child in the country is under government surveillance.

And FISA - which allows warrantless wiretapping and government eavesdropping on American citizens - is vital to the expansion of Obama's spy-nation.

That is why I have proposed the Fourth Amendment Protection Act as an amendment to the FISA reauthorization, which is expected to be voted on TONIGHT.

Watch the video explanation of the Fourth Amendment Protection Act here, then call your U.S. Senators and DEMAND they support the Fourth Amendment Protection Act.

My amendment to FISA extends Fourth Amendment guarantees to electronic communications and requires specific warrants granted through FISA courts in order to obtain this information.

This amendment is VITAL to protect American citizens against unwarranted invasions of privacy by Obama's surveillance state.

Without this amendment, FISA will give Obama a blank check to spy on any American at any time for any reason.

You and I cannot allow this to happen.

That's why it's vital that you call your U.S. Senator and DEMAND they support the Fourth Amendment Protection Act IMMEDIATELY!

Tell them to stop Obama from using FISA to trample our Constitutional rights.

In liberty,

Rand Paul

P.S. Obama is expanding his surveillance state at an alarming rate, and FISA reauthorization is the cornerstone of that expansion.

Well, Roy Blunt doesn't share Senator Paul's concerns about handing Obama this tremendous power that conflicts with the Fourth Amendment.

The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.

Senator Blunt voted against Senator Paul's bill, which means Blunt believes Obama should have powers beyond those granted by the Constitution--powers that jeopardize our rights and freedoms.

Was an Assault Weapon Really Used at Sandy Hook?

A lot of contradictory information out there...

Four handguns and apparently it's only handguns that were taken into the school according to NBC. Apparently Adam Lanza left the AR-15 in the car. Yet, look how quickly Congress is ready to ban the AR-15 as the facts keep changing in the Sandy Hook massacre.

Hazel Crest Police Officer Shoots Dog on Fenced In Private Property on Christmas Eve

When Chanette Weaver put her dog Kobi in their fenced-in yard to use the bathroom Christmas Eve night, it would be for the last time. Two Hazel Crest police officers soon showed up at her door to alert her Kobi was dead.

CBS2 reports:

“One of the officers said, ‘Ma’am, your dog is dead.’ Heartless,” Weaver said.

“He said, ‘Ma’am, your dog was getting ready to attack one of my officers.’ And they shot him three times,” Weaver said.

Hazel Crest police said the dog tried to attack officers on a public sidewalk, and officers felt they were at risk of serious injury.

Weaver said Kobi was in obedience training all the time, and it was very unlikely he would have attacked the officers.

Neighbors said police fired first, and asked questions later about Conley, who officers apparently thought was hiding at a house next door to the Weavers.

“I was like, ‘No we don’t. You all can come into the house and check,’” neighbor Dionne Williams said.

So we have a dog who was minding its own business in the backyard, which was fenced up and considered private property, and we have some cops who claim the dog, which had also gone through obedience school, who came onto this private property and shot the dog, who claimed the dog was trying to attack the officers who Weaver said opened her fence and let the dog out.

Do the Weaver's have no private property rights? Can the police just come onto her property at will, open their fence where the family dog was minding its own business, and begin shooting without without considering the rights of the Weaver family? After all, it appears the lack of respect for the private property of the Weaver family is the reason Kobi is dead.

Representative Jack Kingston (R) Softens on Second Amendment

More and more Republicans in Congress are ready to weaken the Second Amendment. Noting the Constitution gives Congress no power to regulate the right to bear arms, the Republicans must be worried about their own reelection over the Constitution as usual as Sandy Hook puts pressure on Washington to provide a knee-jerk reaction.

Georgia Republican Jack Kingston is ready to put gun control on the table, which adds to the growing list of Republicans who are softening on the Second Amendment.

Kurt Nimmo writes:

“Put guns on the table. Also, put video games on the table. Put mental health on the table,” Rep. Jack Kingston of Georgia said last week as the Republican leadership signaled it is ready to chip away at the right to own firearms.

Kingston said Republicans are likely to move on more anti-gun legislation after a “grief stage” in response to the Sandy Hook elementary school shooting.

BBCW's Wacky Liberal of the Year 2012: #4 John Roberts

A lot of so-called "conservatives" made the list this year because 2012 was the year conservatives should have felt let down by the Republican Party's embrace of the left. As the GOP moved left we put our faith in a court where a majority of picks were by Republican presidents. This court let us down.

Noting other ponzi schemes the left successfully pushed through as taxes upon the American people like Social Security, in 2012 thanks to Supreme Court Justice John Roberts, whose opinion sided with the four members of the Supreme Court chosen by Democrat presidents, Americans will now be forced into a contract with their health care insurance provide by the federal government as Roberts decided since Congress has the right to tax Americans, Obamacare is legal.

Of course the funny thing about this is many so-called conservatives were begging the other true conservatives to vote for the liberal Mitt Romney because of the Supreme Court balance.

Members of Congress Propose a Federal Gun Buy Back Program

More signs members of Congress are scared about the political repercussions if they refuse to act to kill the Second Amendment. With more than $16 trillion in debt strangling our republic economically, 40 members of Congress want to spend more of your money to get guns out of the hands of the American people.

Breitbart (those people Dana Loesch are mad at) writes:

A letter from 40 members of Congress and directed toward House Speaker John Boehner (R-OH) and Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) demanded a national gun buyback program yesterday. The letter was penned by Rep. Gerry Connolly (D-VA) and Rep. Ted Deutch (D-FL). “Gun buybacks have proven successful in communities across the nation,” the open letter to House colleagues reads. “Adding $200 million to the final compromise on the fiscal cliff could remove as many as one million guns from our streets.” Such a step, said the Congressmen, would be a “simple, immediate step we can take to assure the public we are committed to taking meaningful action.”

The Democrats also argued that the gun buyback program would be a form of stimulus: “Distributing funding to the states to run buyback programs using prepaid debit cards with a  three-month expiration date could provide a jolt to local economies that have stagnated in the wake of the recession and concerns over the fiscal cliff.”

Stimulus???

BBCW Wacky Liberal of the Year 2012: #5 Mitt Romney

When you have Mitt Romney's political record and you have Rush Limbaugh's support, there is definitely a wackiness surrounding you. Romney is a big government Massachusetts liberal who pushed abortion rights, established the blue prints for Obamacare, and signed into law some of the strictest gun control laws in the country, and yet this year many conservatives celebrated Mitt for Brains simply because "he wasn't Obama".

Noting his political record as governor of Massachusetts and the many things he said as candidate Romney going up against Ted Kennedy, Romney might have not been Obama, but he was damn close.

BBCW Wacky Liberal of the Year 2012: #6 The Republican Establishment

Ronald Reagan once said "the heart of conservatism is libertarianism". In 2012, the Republican establishment forgot these wise words of President Reagan. Instead, they moved further to the left, nominating the most liberal Republican yet for the presidency, Mitt Romney.

Romney's record included Romneycare, the blueprint for Obamacare and some of the toughest gun control laws in the country.

Many traditional Republican voters came out in protest of Romney. They showed up at caucuses, where the system was often stacked against this mixture of conservative and libertarian voters. The rules were often changed to keep their voice shut out of the progress. The Republican Party and its establishment hacks pushed these voters away.

In November, Mitt Romney received 4,000,000 less votes than left leaning moderate John McCain from four years earlier, and Obama won reelection.

The Republican Party's move to the left lost them the election, and gave them the title of a bunch of wacky liberals. In recent weeks this was further enforced as John Boehner purged conservative leaders from House leadership positions.

Mitt Romney Didn't Want to be President?

I can't believe what I am reading. After running for president twice and becoming the nominee to run against Obama, news breaking today says Mitt Romney never really wanted to be president.

“He wanted to be president less than anyone I’ve met in my life. He had no desire to . . . run,” Tagg Romney told the Boston Globe in an interview published Sunday.

"If he could have found someone else to take his place . . . he would have been ecstatic to step aside,” Tagg said.

So why didn't he step aside before the Republican primary was decided? I am just not buying this and this is another red flag waving regarding Romney's character.

I know I am glad I didn't put my seal of approval on Mitt. Could the fact he didn't want to run be the reason for his pathetic campaign attempt? If so, Mitt Romney has the blood of this Republic on his hands.

Coffee and Cancer: Max Gerson Was Onto Something

Just over thirty years ago, a long time family friend was given two months to live. She had stage four leukemia and things didn't look good. Rather than give up hope thanks to the American medical system that is restricted under federal regulations that limit cancer treatments to surgery, chemo drugs, and radiation, she went to where real medical freedom exists--Mexico.

The American medical community gave her two months. The medical freedom of Mexico has given her more than 30 years of cancer-free health. That's an amazing fact considering cancer survivors in America often lose in the five year stretch after they care declared cancer free. The cancer usually comes back with a vengeance because the same habits that caused the cancer--like lack of proper nutrition--isn't ever discussed. In American, most doctors have hours upon hours of pharmaceutical studies while getting just a class in nutrition.

I bring this up because Dr. Max Gerson understood cancer only survives in an acidic environment. Cancer can't live and thrive in an alkaline state. Gerson is hated today in the medical community because his simple cancer cure threatens a $200 billion plus industry in the United States that is fueled by Big Pharma. If the cure for cancer was found, an entire sector of the economy would collapse.

In Mexico, doctors are free to practice with alternative cures. In the United States, land of the free, doctors are quite limited in the way they fight cancer.

Gerson Therapy is a combination of fueling the body with nutrients it is being robbed of through our poor diet choices and coffee enemas that remove the toxins from key organs like the liver. The therapy puts the body in a state where cancer is weakened and can't survive, and isn't barbaric like chemo drugs that bring the body close to death in hopes the cancer will die.

Once again we are learning Gerson was really onto something. A new study shows four cups of coffee a day reduces your chance of cancer.

From Natural News:

People who drink four or more cups of caffeinated coffee each day have only half the risk of dying from oral or pharyngeal cancer when compared to those who drink less, according to a new American Cancer Society study published in the American Journal of Epidemiology.

Prior studies have found that higher levels of coffee consumption are correlated with a lower risk of contracting oral and pharyngeal cancer. For example, a study published in the journal Cancer Epidemiology Biomarkers and Prevention in November found that coffee drinkers (as long as they had fewer than five cups a day) were 39 percent less likely to develop cancer of the mouth or throat than non-coffee drinkers – although the effect was weaker in those who regularly smoked or drank liquor. The researchers noted that scientists have identified more than a thousand natural coffee chemicals that may have cancer-fighting properties.

In the American Cancer Society study, researchers looked for a connection between rates of death from oral or pharyngeal cancer and consumption of tea, caffeinated coffee and decaffeinated coffee. The researchers used data from the Cancer Prevention Study II, a long-term study launched by the society in 1982.
“Coffee is one of the most widely consumed beverages in the world, and contains a variety of antioxidants, polyphenols, and other biologically active compounds that may help to protect against development or progression of cancers,” lead author Janet Hildebrand said.

Four cups a day, half the risk

The researchers examined 968,432 adults who were cancer-free as of 1982. In the intervening 26 years, 868 of the study’s participants died of mouth or throat cancer. Using this data, the researchers found that people who drank four cups or more of caffeinated coffee each day were 49 percent less likely to die from throat or mouth cancer than people who never drank coffee or only occasionally. In fact, every cup per day that a person consumed significantly decreased the risk of death, even after the researchers corrected for sex, alcohol use or smoking.

Texas Highway Patrol Feels Woman Up for Throwing Cigarette Out of Car Window

Most officers want you to stay in your car for safety reasons. This Texas Highway Patrolman is quick to pull this woman out of her car to frisk her...

Remember, all the officer says she has done wrong is throw a cigarette out and then accuses her of having marijuana in the car out of the blue. The officer feels up the woman's breast and then begins sticking her fingers down her pants. Notice the woman who was pulled over sounds perfectly coherent. All the officer says she has done is throw a cigarette out the window.

BBCW Wacky Liberal of the Year #7: Joe Biden

Wacky is a word the describes Vice President Joe Biden perfectly. He didn't miss the mark in 2012 when it came being wacky. Biden managed to convince a group of voters they would become slaves, shackled and bound, if Mitt Romney, whose record offered little difference than that of Barack Obama, should Mitt Romney win the presidency.

Of course both parties are putting Americans in chains as they continue to recklessly spend money they don't have.

Billy Long is Pushing a Plagerized Diet Scam in Men's Health Magazine

Billy Long, who has been avoiding interviews on important subjects like gun control and the purging of conservative members of Congress, seems to have lots of time to conduct interviews with CBS News and Men's Health magazine on his new diet.

Here's Congressman Long from Men's Health:

What caught my interest in this video is Billy Long tells Congressman Aaron Schock (R-IL) that he is dieting eating whatever he wants. A diet that you can eat whatever you want? That sounds like a scam if I have ever heard of one. Then of course he goes into one of his corny auction bits, which is strange if you don't know who Congressman Long is.

Now Billy Long claims he knows how to cut fat, since he claims that is what he has done in Washington. I remind readers he voted to fund NASCAR teams, for the debt ceiling increase, and to fund Pigford, which has been said to be the most frivolous lawsuit ever against the United States government. Considering Billy Long's failure to cut fat in Washington, this diet was sounding more like a scam.

So I decided to research it a bit more.

Guess what, it wasn't hard to find that there is some controversy with Billy Long's diet.

FitJerk claims the diet Billy Long endorses for Men's Health Magazine was plagiarized. The diet was taken from Lean Gains and put a Men's Health label on it according to the source. What's interesting is Billy Long voted for bills to prevent pirating and other infringements on copyrights in bills like SOPA.

FitJerk writes of Men's Health's Eight-Hour Diet:

You know, there is a good reason why fitness pros (and even market scammers) take jabs at fitness magazines. It’s because the content has been and always will be, boring and dull. That’s the price you have to pay when you try and appeal to every-freakin-person.

As if that weren’t bad enough, we also have magazines that are exceptionally boring and dull. Almost yawn inducing.

But you know what? I was ok with it all. Magazines gave half-assed advice, but because they had such a massive audience, great trainers kept writing for them to get exposure.

At least the thing ended up with original content.

And at times, when they were desperate for ideas, they actually ended up innovating in the most ridiculous of ways. More power to ‘em.

But today, one such magazine has hit an all time low. I am of course talking about Men’s Health and their recent 8 Hour Diet  announcement.

Driven by the need to stay relevant and provide information that doesn’t put people to sleep, they decided to first rip off a method created by someone else, then name it something else (creative plagiarism) and finally, insult the audience by assuming their readers were too dumb to catch them.

It’s as if Men’s Health only has 2 editors left, named “copy” and “paste”.

Still Billy Long has no time to talk issues with local radio host like Eric Farris or Dave Day on the issues like John Boehner's purge of conservatives from leadership positions and to take a strong stand on the Second Amendment, but he has plenty of time to conduct interviews about his diet. Long was on CBS News earlier tonight plugging his diet.

Congressman Billy Long Can Barely Get Out of His Chair and Walk Across the Capitol

Leave it to Billy Long to show the worst side of the Ozarks once again. When it comes to politics, Congressman Long is nowhere to be found. We in Missouri are a bunch of fat-assed, fried food eating, red necks...

When asked to come on the Eric Farris and the Super Dave radio shows to discuss how John Boehner purged conservatives from leadership roles, Billy Long was AWOL.

When the News-Leader asked Billy Long about gun control after Sandy Hook, Billy Long gave an answer that left me puzzled as to how committed he is to the Second Amendment, and the answer was provided by a staffer of course.

A spokesman for Rep. Billy Long, R-Springfield, declined to make the congressman available for an interview. And he would not say whether Long could support a proposal to prohibit some automatic weapons or high-capacity ammunition clips.

However, Southwest Missouri constituents can go to bed at night reassured their Congressman is on a needed diet. Weighing in at 320 pounds, Billy Long could barely get out of his office chair, let alone walk down the halls of the US Capitol. We now know why Congressman Long has been dodging interviews and questions. He's walking 90 minutes a week to get healthy--90 minutes. No time for Eric Farris or Dave Day to discuss the conservative purges in Congress as Long auctions down the pounds.

I guess Billy Long doesn't want to expire too soon after that Congressional pension kicks in. He's looking to feed off the American taxpayer for a very long time.

Geez, these people make Southwest Missouri look like a bunch of white trash idiots. Did you catch Gordon Kinne? "Why Billy just loves a good steak!" Yeah, who doesn't except for those folks at PETA.

Remember, it's the day before the Christmas holiday kicks off. It's Sunday night. It's a slow news day.

Wishing no ill will on Billy, and hoping he gets down to a healthy weight and enjoys good health for many years to come, it would just be nice if this guy faced voters, answered the tough questions, and did interviews that might actually challenge him since that guy in Joplin will only throw him softballs. But no, we get another "look at me" story about Billy Long.

By the way, anyone notice Billy Long speaking Spanish in the first part of the interview? What's that about?

Apology Page to Greg LeMond Shows Up on Facebook

Greg LeMond was one of my boyhood heroes in my earliest days of competitive cycling. Kids of my generation wanted to be "like Mike", but I always wanted to be like Greg.

Over the past few years it was hard watching the cycling community turn on Greg LeMond--who wanted nothing more than to clean up professional cycling from the performance enhancing drugs. When Lance Armstrong began associating with the notorious Michele Ferrari, a doctor who was connected to the dirty side of cycling, it was Greg LeMond who began questioning Armstrong--probably knowing the cost it might have on his legacy and his career as a entrepreneur in the cycling industry.

It did hit LeMond hard, especially when Trek Bikes dropped their relationship with LeMond, that would have ensured LeMond great wealth. LeMond never backed down on his calls to clean up cycling demanding Lance Armstrong explain his relationships and the physics of his performances. So many people wrote off Greg LeMond as someone who was just jealous of Armstrong.

As this year ends and the legacy of Lance Armstrong will be forever tarnished, it appears Great LeMond is having a resurgence of respect from the cycling community as many cyclists who were angered by LeMond's drive to clean up the sport are apologizing to LeMond as evidence in social media these days. There is now a "Dear Greg LeMond, I apologize" Facebook page where fans are now admitting they are sorry they questioned LeMond's integrity.

The page reads, "after abuse, criticism, and the loss of his company, Greg turned out to be 100% right. This page is for both doubters and non-doubters to show support."

Sally Jenkins Notes Lack of Due Process Surrounding Lance Armstrong

Sally Jenkins is the co-author of Lance Armstrong's two best selling books. She also has come out swinging in defense of Armstrong noting the lack of due process. While I don't question whether or not Armstrong took performance enhancing drugs, as I have believed even when he was winning he was outsmarting the system knowing the entire professional peloton was probably guilty and if they weren't, it was just a few riders riding clean. I have questioned the federal government's witch hunt against Armstrong and other athletes when there appears to be no Constitutional authority for the feds to get involved, especially in Armstrong's case where there seems to be no instance of interstate activity consider he lived and raced in Europe for most of the year.

The federal government spent millions of our tax dollars investigating athletes like Armstrong--proof once again the federal bureaucracy is out of control as the national debt soars above $16 trillion. Finally, as many sports writers are labeling Armstrong an embarassment, Jenkins comes along and asks about due process in the Armstrong case.

While the USADA, who declared Armstrong's guilt isn't a federal bureaucracy and has nothing to do with the federal government except their report comes months after the federal government gave up their case against Armstrong never making a case of guilt against the cyclist, Jenkins does look at this very American idea of due process and the lack of it in the Armstrong case and she ties it back to the bigger case that apparently the federal government hasn't totally given up.

Maybe I’m not angry at him because after reading the USADA report and the affidavits of the riders who spoke with USADA, I have some common-sense questions that preclude anger. Such as: Shouldn’t an organization with the initials U.S. in front of it have to follow due process? And: According to the affidavits, the U.S. Postal Team had a highly organized “doping” system in place long before Lance became a member of it, so why is he the target of this report? Or: The affidavits taken by USADA make it clear that while Lance refused to use HGH, Floyd Landis introduced it to younger riders, so why is the federal government considering giving Landis whistle-blower protection?

Why is it just Lance Armstrong that needs to be made an example of? More than likely 95% or  more the professional peloton is guilty, and once again we see how being a snitch in America can make you a free man and cleanse you of all guilt. Let's face it, Floyd Landis isn't a saint in these matters, and while he has suffered, he hasn't been targeted like Armstrong. Why is that? Is the level of crime in America day dependent on the size of the trophy? Perhaps it's been that for a long time when, especially when you look at the careers of Elliot Ness and James Edgar Hoover and their trophy cases.

Jenkins has some real common sense questions she asks, especially when you consider all the sexual scandals and other issues dealing with other sporting leagues.

Maybe I’m not angry at Lance because for two decades now I’ve had serious questions about the wisdom and fairness of the “anti-doping” effort, which consists of criminalizing and demonizing athletes for what boils down to using medications without a prescription, as if they are heroin dealers. And I’m confused as to why using cortisone as an anti-inflammatory in a 2,000-mile race is cheating, and I wonder why putting your own blood back into your body is the crime of the century. And because there are offenses in sport that seem far, far worse to me. Like say, putting rapists on your college football team.

Who have these professional cyclists hurt? Look at the story of Ben Roethlisberger who settled rape allegations from 2008. Roethlisberger is a star player in the NFL who has accused of multiple times of inappropriate behavior, and even so, today we will watch the Steeler nation cheer on this clown forgetting any mental torment and emotional distress of these possible victims while the sports world continues to write about Armstrong as if he is the disease of the country. It really is a double standard.

While I am not advocating what Armstrong has done, it is important to note the countless and selfless hours he has donated in hopes of finding a cure for cancer. Of course the football player gets the pass and Armstrong's total life gets turned upside down.

Maybe that's the problem in America. The game is more important than life itself. Consider what Jenkins writes as she begins to close the piece.

Maybe I’m not angry at Lance because I don’t understand those people who are bitterly angry to discover that he is not Santa Claus, while ignoring the very real and useful presents he delivered. Not toys, not hagiography, but the simple yet critical lesson that a third medical opinion can save your life. Or that the more educated a sick person is about their disease, the greater their statistical chance of survival. Who not only preached those lessons, but built an organization through which anyone can get the information and education about cancer for free that he was fortunate enough to be able to afford. And who put his money and incalculable amounts of time where his mouth was, raising $500 million for research and donating $7 million of his own fortune.

Dana Loesch Plays the Conservative "Victim": Suing Breitbart for $75,000

Dana Loesch, the head of the St. Louis Tea Party, who has embraced Republicans who aren't very Tea Party, is playing a victim. The radio show host/CNN commentator claims the powers at Breitbart are getting in the way of her career advancement.

Last week Loesch filed a suit in US District Court in St. Louis suing Breitbart for $75,000. The St. Louis Dispatch writes:

The suit says that difficulties managing the Breitbart “media 'empire'” or ideological conflicts or both had spiked the working relationship, creating a “increasingly hostile” work environment. When Loesch tried to terminate her work agreement in September, Breitbart refused and extended the agreement by a year, the suit says.

Breitbart.cοm LLC refuses to allow her work to be published and “sabotages” her attempts to find work elsewhere, the suit says.

Sounds like to me Breitbart has standards to meet...

Loesch is a political opportunist who sacrifices true Tea Party principles in exchange for a buck. This really shouldn't be a surprise to anyone who has peeled back the layers.

Ben Swann Exposes the Politically Incorrect Truth About the Second Amendment

The purpose of the Second Amendment is to defend our country and defend ourselves from our country. It is in the Constitution to keep Americans equally armed with the federal government in order to protect freedom and liberty.

Another great piece from Ben Swann.

Roy Blunt Right on Direction After Sandy Hook, but...

I was impressed that Senator Roy Blunt decided to look away from the issue of guns after the Sandy Hook tragedy. Blunt told the Springfield News-Leader:

“I intend to spend most of my personal energy on looking at the real gaps in the mental health system,” Blunt told reporters in his weekly conference call. He noted that other recent mass shootings involved gunmen who had been identified as mentally or emotionally troubled, but warning flags were never communicated to law enforcement officials.

There’s a “common thread” in these massacres involving “people who are known to be a threat or believed to be a threat (and) who have been banned from places, but no one appears to be notified of that,” Blunt said.

Earlier in the week, Blunt made it clear that he did not think curbing access to guns was the way to prevent mass shootings. Nor, he suggested, could any such measures win support in Congress.

“I’m sure I would vote against anything that impacts, in a negative way, the Second Amendment,” Blunt said Monday during an event in Missouri. “These laws are not going to change in the near future.”

Blunt is definitely in the right direction; however, I am left to wonder if Senator Blunt will head far enough in that direction or if this is just a soundbite. Yes, it is true these mass murderers suffer from mental illness. They as well have a history of using legal psychotropic drugs which Time Magazine noted are often make their users more aggressive and violent. Is Roy Blunt ready to open that can of worms?

To speculate on that issue, I thought it would be best to look at Senator Blunt's relationship with Big Pharma. I mean it's easy to point the finger at mental illness, but Big Pharmaceutical is a multi-billion dollar industry with lots of influence in Washington, DC, and an army of attorneys. What is Blunt's past relationships with Big Pharma lobbyists and insiders been like in the past?

It didn't take long to find a key connection to Blunt and Big Pharma. Roy Blunt's son Andy is a BigPharma lobbyists. Andrew has lobbied in the past for Boehringer Ingelheim Pharmaceuticals, Inc.

Blunt's House career shows millions of dollars in donations from Big Pharma, while his brief two-yearSenate career shows over $640,000 in campaign donations from pharmaceutical companies, which makes the list of top industries giving money to Blunt.

These two examples are probably enough evidence little will change in Blunt's mind when it comes to researching the aggressive nature of patients taking psychotropic drugs.

BBCW Wacky Liberal of the Year #8 2012: Barack Obama

I warned conservatives more than two years ago that Barack Obama was going to be hard to beat in 2012. It wasn't because I felt the Obama job performance was stellar, but rather Obama has a way of dodging the tough issues and Republican are horrible strategists. I was right as Obama didn't take ownership of much in the 2012 campaign and the Republicans ran a liberal from Massachusetts who often mirrored Obama on issues. Obama didn't have to take ownership.

So once again the United States is going to be steered down a liberal road for another four years without there ever being much conversation about the path Obama wishes to take us upon. For that alone, Obama is a dangerous wacky liberal.

#fireboehner John Boehner now Considering Leading Republicans to Push Gun Control

John Boehner, who already appears ready to compromise on raising taxes and the debt ceiling, may be ready to expose how much of a RINO this man really is. Boehner announced this week that he may be ready to lead the Republicans on passing new gun control laws in the House.

The Hill reports:

Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) on Thursday refused to rule out a vote on gun-control legislation in the next Congress.

The highest-ranking elected Republican lawmaker said that he would take the recommendations of a commission led by Vice President Joe Biden on gun control "under advisement."

"When the vice president's recommendations come forward, we'll certainly take them into consideration," Boehner told reporters gathered at a press conference in the Capitol.

On Wednesday, President Obama tapped Biden to head a commission tasked with developing legislation to prevent attacks like the Newtown, Conn., school shooting last week, in which 26 people were killed by an armed attacker at Sandy Hook Elementary School.

Apparently Speaker Boehner also doesn't realize the Constitution doesn't give the general government the power to legislate such a thing.

Congress shall make no law....

A well regulated militia being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed.

BBCW Wacky Liberal of the Year 2012: #9 Dianne Feinstein

Funny how people in the federal government write laws that restrict liberty and freedom that are fueled by an often all too coincidental tragic event. I mean we know the federal government wanted to begin shutting down the Bill of Rights long before as the Patriot Act was just needing something to trigger its passage. Of course, after 9/11 it was "patriotic" to allow the feds to infringe upon such things like your Fourth Amendment right. It was passed in record time as it just needed the right event to gain support.

Well in 2012 we have another instance of that. Barack Obama dared not talk gun control on the campaign trail. Those rednecks in Ohio might figure it out and actually show up to the polls to vote against him. On the day after the presidential election, Dianne Feinstein was given her marching orders to work on a brand new assault weapons ban which Obama would eventually sign into law. All it needed was a trigger to drive it.

A few weeks later, Sandy Hook...

But Feinstein herself has proven a hypocrite like many on gun control.

Considering this, Dianne Feinstein makes the wacky liberal of the year list for 2012.

First Teacher Busted for Carrying a Gun to School for Defense

Earlier this week, I made a prediction on Facebook that it was only a matter of time before the liberal media began making examples out of teachers who took it upon themselves to have the means to protect their classrooms. I predicted that in early 2013, the reports would come of teachers busted for carrying a firearm to school for self defense and to protect their classrooms from copy cat and "prozac fueled" mentally ill persons.

It didn't even take a week after Sandy Hook before a teacher was busted at Seward Montessori in south Minneapolis. CBS reports:

Police say a staff member in her late 50s brought a .357 magnum revolver into the school. It was loaded with five rounds. She put it in a locker in a faculty lounge and told a teacher. That teacher then told school officials, who alerted police.

Investigators say this is extremely rare.

“This is the first instance that I can think of that involves a staff member,” said Sgt. William Palmer of the Minneapolis Police Department.

A spokesman said the staff member has worked in the school district for 21 years without incident. She was put on administrative leave. She told police that she was concerned about what happened in Newtown, Conn.

More of these stories are coming. On a happier note, Eric Burlison, a state rep in Missouri recently co-sponsored a bill that would give teachers the right to conceal and carry in the classroom so they can self defend themselves and the classroom.

Let's hope nothing ever happens at Seward Montessori that creates the need for this teacher who decided she had had enough and was going to do whatever it takes to protect herself and her students.

Eric Burlison Co-Sponsors Bill to Allow Missouri Teachers to Conceal and Carry in the Classroom

It's a fact the media doesn't want told. Conceal and carry laws lower crime. When criminals must face a threat of the greatest kind of resistance to their actions, they are less likely to commit the crime. Republican Eric Burlison must understand this.

The News-Leader reports:

Missouri teachers would be allowed to carry concealed weapons in classrooms under a bill prefiled in the General Assembly Tuesday.

The bill comes less than a week after 26 people — including 20 children — were killed by a gunman at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Conn.

Rep. Mike Kelley, R-Lamar, prefiled the bill. Rep. Eric Burlison, R-Springfield, is one of several co-sponsors.

“You don’t create a safe environment by banning guns from an area. All you’re doing is creating an area that is a focal point for criminals with guns to concentrate,” Burlison said.

Of course, statistics show he is right. Chicago has the strictest gun control laws in the country, and they have one of the highest crime rates as well.

BBCW: Wacky Liberal of the Year 2012 #10: Lucas Case

Lucas Case had a coming out party this year. This was no surprise to many who figured out he was a gay Republican. Case was embraced by the Republican establishment never having problems seeming to find employment by Republican candidates from Jack Goodman to Sarah Steelman, and he was often front and center in these campaigns if you observed Republican politics in Missouri.

Yet, Case had an axe to grind. He announced he was gay to a St. Louis media claiming he was the homosexual version of Rosa Parks. Of course we know Case never had the courage of Parks and was only out there to make a name for himself. He claimed he was forced to ride in the back of the campaign vehicle because he was gay; although, he was often seen standing next to US Senate candidate Steelman during the primary season with his "friends" nearby, which could be observed at a Memorial Day event in Springfield.

Case must have felt his path in life was forcing other gay Republicans out of the closet. Now playing a victim was the first reason Case made the list. As the year went on and Case returned to Missouri after heading out to California to play with the boys, Case began endorsing liberal Democrats in his social media effort like Claire McCaskill. Despite claiming he was still a Republican, Case also began embracing numerous liberal issues, mot recently Case called for restrictions on the Second Amendment.

There's something very American about the right to privacy. Apparently, Case doesn't think so. While I have yet to hear of any accusation from Case about who is gay in the Missouri Republican party, Case threatened to out those people, an invasion of privacy, to advance his new political agenda.

Case has earned his position as one of the Wacky Liberals of the Year.

Dianne Feinstein Carries a Concealed Weapon as She Pushes Assault Weapons Ban

The day after Obama won reelection, Dianne Feinstein began working on the current assault weapons ban that has been fueled by Sandy Hook. Yet, Feinstein is on record saying firearms are a way to protect yourself from bad guys. Why doesn't Feinstein want to take away my guns while she admits she carries firearms to protect herself?

She is a hypocrite!

The Brainwashing of Children for Gun Control is Seen Throughout the Media

Every where I look, the media is having children push gun control without giving them an honest idea of the pros and cons of owning guns and a historical perspective of the founding of this country. Remember, fear is used to control people and while the media isn't reporting these mass shootings total less than 1% of the total homicides in the United States while a great number of homicides come in cities like Chicago that enforce the strictest of gun control laws, everywhere I look adults are reading supposed letters children have written out of fear, and still yet adults aren't responsible enough to put these children at ease by taking steps like conceal and carry in the classroom to protect these children from "Prozac enraged" mentally ill people.

I still haven't figured out why these kids aren't scared of Prozac. Oh that's right, Big Pharma has billions to protect its image. It's easier to blame this on the gun over the mind altering drugs that seem to be as common as the gun in these high profile mass shootings.

Here's the Christian County Headliner using a child to push gun control:

Let’s have a conversation.

That’s how a little girl named Lilly began her Santa letter that appears in the Ozark East Elementary portion of our Letters to Santa section.

“Dear Santa,

Let’s have a conversation,” Lilly writes.

She goes on to acknowledge that she needs to pay closer attention to her habit of back-talking and that her attitude, in the view of her elders, sometimes needs readjusting.

I found Lilly’s letter to Santa so disarmingly charming that I had to talk about it. Her words, of course, are a reflection of others and she’s trying to explain to Santa why she stills deserves a generous visit from him.
Lilly is attempting to cope with her behavior and its aftermath.

What I want to do, and what I am sure all of you want to do, is somehow reach through the pages of those first-graders’ letters to Santa and give Lilly and all the other children who wrote them one big collective hug. We are so fortunate that the tragedy in Connecticut is not laid at our doorstep. Our children are safe.
This Christmas season will go on as usual in Christian County and we can hope that all of our letter writers have a merry one with a successful visit from Santa.

We cannot be positive of that, though. Because no matter how unfair it is, all children will not be treated equally come Christmas Day.

I wish I could, with a sweep of a magic wand, ensure that every child experiences the love, excitement and joy of Christmas. And I wish that I could, with that same magic wand, erase the tragedy that occurred at 9:30 a.m. EST in Newtown, Conn., at Sandy Hook Elementary.

I can’t. No one can. But, like Lilly said, we can have a conversation.

While I know that, like Lilly, I may need to work my diplomatic skills and sometimes my attitude, I also know the difference between right and wrong—between common sense and irrationality.

It is morally outrageous to keep defending the sales of assault weapons. According to one of the forensic pathologists at the scene, the 10 children he examined had three to 11 gunshot wounds each.

An assault weapon is made for one thing—a violent and mass assault to kill as many people as possible in the shortest amount of time. Those weapons belong with our military and our policing agencies.
Our national love affair with guns is, in my opinion, a real national tragedy. Our fixation on violence with video games, movies and television, is another.

Regardless of a person’s mental capacity, shooting people up is a result of a culture that glorifies it and accepts it on some level.

More guns do not equal more safety—not for anyone.

That’s a conversation we desperately need to have.

Yup, not Nancy Reagan style wish just to say no to psychotropic drugs that often increase aggressive behavior in the people taking the drugs.

On the same day the Headliner released this garbage, CNN's Anderson Cooper had another child's letter written by Natalie Barden read.

“My name is Natalie Barden and I wanted to tell the president that only police officers and the military should get guns. If people want to do it as a sport than they could go to a shooting range and the guns would not be able to leave there.”

Apparently they aren't teaching how the police and military only had guns on Nazi Germany during Adolf Hitler's reign, and they rounded up the Jews and the less desirable (useless eaters) in Germany and marched them off to their mass debts killing millions more people than all the combined victims of these recent mass shooters in the United States managed to pick off.

In other words young Natalie, that has been tried and it hasn't worked very well. With Congress pushing indefinite detainment of Americans without due process as we speak in this year's NDAA for the second year in a row, we are creating a situation where it could happen again on some level.

These kids are being manipulated by adults with agenda--adults who will never explain the reality of power of people who could not defend themselves as recorded in history. The left wing media is now finding any child it can who is willing to beg Americans to put down their arms in an effort to create pathos to drive support to Obama's gun grabbing ways without looking at the cons of recent societies where gun control was in place. They are Obama's political pawns as evidence shows Obama' was preparing his attack on the Second Amendment for his second term and he is politically using these victims to divide and conquer. Let's not forget Diane Feinstein began working on the current assault weapons ban the day after Obama won election.

Yet Feinstein tells the story about how a gun saved her life.

Billy Long Growing Soft on Second Amendment After Sandy Hook: Forget the Constitution Already Billy Long

When Billy Long got to Congress, he told anyone who would listen he was "Tea Party before Tea Party was cool" and his pocket Constitution was "rode hard and put up wet". Today, we get another example about how little Billy Long cares about the Constitution and his duty to follow the Constitution in the United States Congress.

The Springfield News-Leader reports almost a week after Sandy Hook where Billy Long stands on supporting Obama's call for more gun control. Even I am shocked at Congressman Long's answer.

A spokesman for Rep. Billy Long, R-Springfield, declined to make the congressman available for an interview. And he would not say whether Long could support a proposal to prohibit some automatic weapons or high-capacity ammunition clips.

“Congressman Long continues to pray for the victims and their families of this horrific and senseless tragedy in Connecticut,” Long’s spokesman, Keith Beardslee, said in an email. “As our nation continues to mourn the loss of innocent life, he knows this is the time for all of us to come together and work hard to prevent these kinds of tragedies.”

Congressman Long won't say where he stands on gun control? Are you serious? Remember, Long has a history of flip flops in DC like his debt ceiling vote last year.

This is easy. According to the Constitution, Congressman Billy Long has no right to put restrictions on the right to bear arms. After all, the Bill of Rights restricts the power of government and they begin with "Congress shall make no law..."

I remind Congressman Billy Long that if he was to take out his "rode hard and put up wet" pocket Constitution from his suit coat, which I have my doubts he even carries one, and read the Second Amendment, he would rediscover the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.

In other words, all Long has to say is this is not for the federal government to decide and the Bill of Rights doesn't fall under an "incorporation doctrine" like the National Rifle Association has argued in their cases to restore gun rights to Chicago and Washington, DC (which I think is a huge mistake on the part of the NRA). It is up to each state and that state's Constitution how to handle the regulation of firearms. Of course, Billy Long isn't there to fight for the Constitution. He's there to have a plush job with travel and retirement benefits. Oh how the lobbyists manage to make it easy for Billy to get to Vegas when he should be reading the Constitution!

Super Dave Prepares for Radio War Against Billy Long if Congressman Votes to Keep Boehner as Speaker

Orion Radio Network conservative talk radio host Super Dave has a promise for Congressman Billy Long. You vote to keep John Boehner as the Speaker of the House, and his radio show will work to ensure Congressman Long doesn't get reelected. Boehner of course in recent weeks has been purging conservatives from key leadership positions while preparing to compromise with Obama on taxes and more spending. These conservatives like Justin Amash have drawn a line in the sand and have informed Boehner they will not support any compromise with Obama.

Super Dave posted on his Facebook fan page:

Last night, I got a call from my Congressman's aide in regards to a letter I sent expressing my views on Congressman Billy Longs vote for Speaker of the House. I informed him in this letter that if Congressman Long cast his vote for John Boehner, that I would lead the charge to unseat him in the next election. This is the line I am drawing. I was informed that Congressman Long is "probably" going to be voting the John Boehner. I also informed his aide that I was very unhappy with his silence when Boehner kicked 2 fiscally minded Congressman Amash and Huelskamp when the so called Tea Party Candidate should have been outraged.

This is YOUR time to add to this post with your thoughts about your Congressman voting for Boehner. This is your time to call YOUR Congressman or email them. The voters cannot continue to blame these people if WE dont do our job. Stop making excuses for your "silence" and let these people know you are PISSED! They ARE currently your Congressman and it is up to you to do YOUR part.

The Super Dave Show can be heard online at: http://www.oriontalkradio.com/orion.htm

Billy Long might be starting to figure out there are going to be some fires to put out with his Boehner vote. Earlier this week, conservative radio host Eric Farris said he tried 12 times to get Billy Long on his radio show, including sending messages to Billy's personal AOL e-mail address, and Long failed to respond to any of the requests. Super Dave at least got a "staffer" as predictable as that is.
