The Federal Government's Black Friday Spending Spree

American consumers weren't the only one on spending sprees the day after Thanksgiving. With most of Washington probably shut down for the Thanksgiving break, the federal government's spending spree is a reminder of just how big the federal leviathan has become.

While its a safe bet Americans got their credit card out and borrowed more to create those Christmas memories, the federal government followed in their footsteps. The federal government borrowed $24,327,048,384.38 on Black Friday alone.

According to The Liberty Crier, that totals $211.69 for each American household.
