No Speaker Boehner, Obamacare Isn't the Law of the Land: Missouri Nullified Obamacare

If Congressman Billy Long hasn't marched his fat ass into Speaker John Boehner's office to correct the misguided Speaker, he is in the wrong and is guilty of not representing the people of Southwest Missouri. Yesterday, in an interview with Diane Sawyer, John Boehner waved the white flag when it comes to repealing Obamacare.

In an interview with ABC News , Boehner seemed to suggest the election ended any efforts to wipe out the whole law. When “World News” anchor Diane Sawyer asked if there would be any more votes to repeal the law, Boehner said “the election changes that” and “Obamacare is the law of the land.”

There is this misguided belief, which Boehner has also exhibited, that because Barack Obama won reelection, Obamacare will live. I remind you what the Show Me State did two years ago as did other states.

In 2010, Missourians went to the polls to vote on Obamacare. Proposition C was a bill in Missouri based on the 10th Amendment that gave Missourians the right or not to adopt Obamacare in Missouri. Voters went to the polls and through the ballot they nullified Obamacare as Proposition C passed with 71% of the vote.


Proposition C conflicts with a federal requirement that most people have health insurance or face penalties starting in 2014.

Obamacare thus isn't the law of Missouri, Speaker Boehner, and We the People of the Show-Me-State demand that you correct your statement as our 10th Amendment right as a state gives Missouri the power to legislate what the federal government has no right to legislate, healthcare mandates included.
