Mitt Romney Doesn't Give a Damn About the Constitution
Republicans are going to the polls today because they believe Romney will save the Constitution. For the past four years, the Constitution has been under attack by Obama, and Romney will end this.
This is one of the biggest lies of the this campaign.
Romney is not going to save the Constitution, just like Obama has no interest in saving the Constitution. I would argue the Republican party has done greater damage to the Constitution over the past 12 years as they pushed for the Patriot Act and the National Defense Authorization Act.
So here are five points that show Romney doesn't give a damn about the Constitution.
1. Romney supports the 2012 National Defense Authorization Act, which gave President Obama the power to indefinitely detain Americans without due process--a Constitutional right.
2. Mitt Romney will continue the unconstitutional practice of the redistribution of wealth through the Marxist inspired progressive American income tax with his promises to expand the unconstitutional Department of Education by expanding the redistribution of wealth scheme called the Pell Grant.
3. Romney promises to repeal Obamacare, but has also promised to keep key Obamacare mandates. All the while, Romney promises to fix that other form of socialized medicine that even the General Welfare clause gives the federal government no power to provide, Medicare.
4. Article One Section Eight of the Constitution states it is the job of Congress to to coin Money, regulate the Value thereof, and of foreign Coin, and fix the Standard of Weights and Measures. Romney in the past has approved of Fed Chair Ben Bernanke's doing this for Congress, and has also called for the Fed Chair to be replaced thus showing support for the Federal Reserve. The only Constitutional answer to this would be to end the Federal Reserve.
5. Mitt Romney supports the Fourth Amendment killing Patriot Act, which gives the federal government great power to spy on Americans in the name of "national security." Apparently Romney didn't get Benjamin Franklin's memo. Those who give up liberty for security deserve neither.
Don't kid yourself today at the polls believing that Mitt Romney is the key to saving the Constitution.
