A Question for Conservatives Supporting Mitt Romney
How many of you conservatives are going to hold a President Romney to the same standards you hold Obama to when Romney begins implementing his big government, big spending, less freedom style of government from Washington?
Remember, Romney has come out in favor if key Obamacare mandates, has battled Obama on how to divide a $3 trillion plus federal budget with no significant spending cuts, is starting to soften on his brief pro-life stance, has a history of pushing gun control, promised to redistribute wealth in the first question of the second debate by expanding the Department of Education, inspired Obama's socialized medicine plan, supports the NDAA's indefinite detainment law, and overall seems to know very little about the Constitution.
How many of you will criticize Romney when he walks in the footsteps of Obama?

Every Republican I know would agree that there are no significant differences between Romney and George W. Bush. Of course!
ReplyDeleteUpon reflection, many Republicans might even admit that there are no significant differences between Bush and Obama: Foreign Policy (Iraq, Afghanistan), government healthcare spending (whether Medicare Part D or Obamacare [or the Bush-appointed Chief Justice who approved it]), homeland "security" (TSA, Patriot Act), Corporate Welfare/Bailouts ("TARP," "Stimulus"), etc., etc.
As "conservative" (?) Richard Nixon put it, "We are all Keynesians now." And they are all neo-conservatives.
If A = B
and B = C
then A = C
If Romney = Bush
and Bush = Obama
then Romney = Obama.
