The Fall of Romney Begins: Mitt Pulls Ads in Pennsylvania

In a year where Beavis and Butthead should beat the unpopular Barack Obama, Mitt Romney continues to fail. Perhaps when your political resume offers little difference from that of Obama, people begin to lose hope when they once hope they could make Obama a one-term president.

Romney has pulled ads in Pennsylvania, a state that is considered a battleground state.

The Hill reports:

A new poll finds President Obama opening up a commanding 11-point lead in the battleground state of Pennsylvania.

A Philadelphia Inquirer poll released on Saturday shows Obama with 50 percent support to Romney’s 39 among likely voters in the state.

Obama has expanded his 8-point lead in the same poll taken last month, where he topped Romney with 51 percent to 42.

Among independent voters, Obama leads the GOP Nominee by 47 percent to 36. He also holds a sizeable lead among female voters 52 to 39 and is ahead among men 46 to 40.

Obama still holds a net positive rating with 56 percent surveyed holding a favorable view to 40 unfavorable.

Romney is underwater, with 48 percent favorable to 46 unfavorable.

This is beyond comprehension. Unemployment in Pennsylvania continues to wreak havoc on families and communities across the Commonwealth. Right now over 538,000 Pennsylvanians* are out of work and struggling to find jobs, pay their rent or mortgage, and put food on the table. As of  February 1, 2011, roughly 96,000 of those had used up all of their unemployment benefits.

Romney has pulled advertising from Pennsylvania. Romney launched new ads in key battleground states, but has given up on Pennsylvania where he is endorsed by former Pennsylvania US Senator Rick Santorum.

I have often recalled the words of Rush Limbaugh--words the GOP's progressive establishment don't seem to want to get through their thick heads. Moderate and liberal Republicans don't excite the conservative base and lose national elections. I hate to say, see I told you so.
