Mitt Romney's Joe the Plumber Moment: If he Lived in Massachusetts...
Remember when Joe the Plumber met Obama? We discovered a truth about Obama that he hoped to hide from the American people. I now believe Mitt Romney has had his Joe the Plumber moment.
Romney is a liberal who has dabbled in Republican branded big government socialism like the healthcare mandate that inspired Obamacare--make no doubt about that. Like Obama attempted to hide his socialist beliefs four years ago, Romney has paraded around America with a mask on. Last night that mask came off and when it did, it was the equivalent of Joe the Plumber walking up to Obama and Obama admitting he wanted to redistribute the wealth.
Mitt Romney's campaign appears to be putting their seal of approval on on Obamacare by pointing out how Romeycare in Massachusetts would have ensured a man without insurance who died of cancer six years after Romney left office would have had insurance to receive treatment had the man simply lived in Massachusetts. I remind you, Romney has never apologized for the healthcare mandate in Massachusetts as he parades around the country promising to repeal Obamacare.
TPN reports:
Mitt Romney’s campaign is giving conservatives quite a scare this week by touting Romney’s Massachusetts health care overhaul — a subject Romney has gone to great lengths to avoid.
Romney spokeswoman Andrea Saul brought up the law in response to a Priorities USA ad in which a steelworker, who lost his job after Bain Capital closed the GST Steel mill where he worked, connects his unemployment — and resulting lack of health insurance — to the death of his wife.
Team Romney’s response: He should have lived in Massachusetts.
Romney's campaign adviser Andrea Saul said on Fox News, "To that point, if people had been in Massachusetts, under Gov. Romney’s health care plan, they would have had health care."
Doesn't it remind you of this moment in American socialist history?
Massachusetts, the land were Romney ran the pilot program for Obamacare... Do you really have faith Romney and the Republicans, who came up with the healthcare mandate in 1994 as an alternative to Hillarycare when they are advocating the program Obamacare was modeled after? Romneycare is Obamacare. Obamacare is Romneycare.
So here we have Mitt Romney's Joe the Plumber moment where we discover a truth about Romney that he wishes to hide. Of course all those people who scolded Obama for his Joe the Plumber Moment believes Romney deserves a pass on this one. My question to you is if Romney wins and this Etch-A-Sketch governs from the left like he did in Massachusetts, how many of you are going to make excuses for Mitt for Brains?
