Brad Pitt's Mother (Jane) Posts Anti-Obama, Anti-Gay, Pro-Life Letter in the Springfield News-Leader
Brad Pitt grew up in Springfield, Missouri, home of the paper known for its lack of hard hitting coverage that locals call the Snooze Leader. Apparently one letter to the editor printed in the sleepy paper didn't escape one person's eye. Pitt's mother gave her two cents worth writing a fiery anti-Obama and anti-gay article for the people of Southwest Missouri to read.
Jane Pitt's letter:
As well, Mitt Romney through his Romneycare law forced Catholic Hospitals of administering abortion pills, and Romney has personally profited from abortions as his investment company purchased a company that specialized and contracts with abortion clinics for aborted fetus disposal.
Which is why this Christian doesn't see voting for Romney is a vote that may not represent much of an appreciation for life.
I will give Mrs. Pitt credit. She wrote this knowing it could be picked up by a cruel national media, and it has. That takes guts.
Jane Pitt's letter:
I have given much thought to Richard Stoecker’s letter (“Vote for Mormon against beliefs,” June 15). I am also a Christian and differ with the Mormon religion.
But I think any Christian should spend much time in prayer before refusing to vote for a family man with high morals, business experience, who is against abortion, and shares Christian conviction concerning homosexuality just because he is a Mormon.
Any Christian who does not vote or writes in a name is casting a vote for Romney’s opponent, Barack Hussein Obama — a man who sat in Jeremiah Wright’s church for years, did not hold a public ceremony to mark the National Day of Prayer, and is a liberal who supports the killing of unborn babies and same-sex marriage.
I hope all Christians give their vote prayerful consideration because voting is a sacred privilege and a serious responsibility.
Here's the problem with Mrs. Pitt's letter, which I have no disagreements when it comes to removing Obama out of office. She attacks Obama for supporting abortion, and yet Mitt Romney spent his entire political career and long before that defending a woman's right to choose. It was only when Mitt Romney decided he would run for president that his views on abortion changed. Jane Pitt sounds like she is watching too much Fox News since these are all Sean Hannity talking points that ignore certain truths about the Mormon she defends.
