Billy Long's Campaign Sign: A Shooting Star No Longer "Fed Up"
Have you noticed Billy Long's "fed up" signs aren't littering the roadsides of Southwest Missouri like they did two years ago. Now Billy Long has a Congressional record, one that supports big government, more spending, and little in regards to producing any meaningful spending cuts.
Long's signs this year feature a shooting star. Isn't that appropriate!
Long who went to Washington claiming to be "fed up" of damn near everything in Washington soon embraced Washington forgetting his Tea Party promises of lesser government, less spending, and more small business common sense.
In culture, a shooting star is someone who shines the brightest when they first appear in the public radar, but as you know bright lights burn out the fastest like a shooting star streaking across the sky and in a blink of an eye what made them shine bright is gone.
Long's history in Washington shows he was never "fed up". He has voted against the Constitution putting limits on free speech, supporting giving Obama indefinite detainment powers to hold Americans without due process, and has continued chipping away at the Fourth Amendment with his votes, all the while voting for big spending with a $2.4 trillion debt ceiling increase and even decided it was a good idea to fund frivolous lawsuits with your tax dollars rather than fight the frivolous law suit to save our Republic billions.
"Fed Up" was nothing more than a bright light streaking across the Ozark skies for a mere moment from June of 2010 up to Billy Long setting foot in Washington. How appropriate Long's signs are this year. Shall we say, a little truth in advertising from the auctioneer for a change?
