Sarah Steelman Campaign Calls Upon Bungalow Bill to do Her Dirty Work Against John Brunner

I received an interesting call today from a Maryland area code. Patrick Tuohey, who identified himself as part of the Sarah Steelman for US Senate campaign, called me hoping I would put out some damning information about her opponent John Brunner. I have to tell you I am still disgusted by the events of two years ago where a Southwest Missouri Congressional campaign reached out to me in a similar way through their operative Miles Ross in hopes I would throw their dirt against now Congressman Billy Long. Those who read BBCW know how that backfired on me as the FBI showed up at my house and the political operative involved was nowhere to be found defending my character because his career in the Republican party as a campaign operative was much too important to upset the establishment status quo.

So rather than jump into bed with the Sarah Steelman campaign and fling their dirt, I thought I would just be honest and expose how politics works once again. So around 9:08 AM while I am at work, I get a call from Maryland. When I call it back a couple hours later Patrick Tuohey identifies himself as someone with a story I might be interested in pushing on my blog noting I was involved in the John and Judy Dollarhite story, in which Senator Claire McCaskill was the first elected official to speak out against the USDA's fines against the Dollarhite's rabbits.

Tuohey tells me about a story breaking that John Brunner gave a considerable campaign donation to an animal rights group that is far more liberal and radical than the Humane Society of the United States, which had infiltrated USDA making the Dollarhite's life hell, noting Senator McCaskill fought for the Dollarhites while claiming Brunner the Republican was donating to organizations that even McCaskill fought against.

Why did this guy contact me when I have listed on my blog that Steelman herself has given her own personal money to some interesting entities despite telling Missourians to do otherwise?

He contacted me because Sarah Steelman wants to be seen as a candidate who is above negative campaigning in hopes of launching a desperate whisper campaign against John Brunner. Of course, I realize now how these operatives work as they care nothing about the people they tip their stories to reminding you once again there is often retribution from these politicians when you break the story or carry a story that will cost them large amounts of voters.

Does it concern me Brunner may be donating money to a left wing group? Absolutely as I am once again reminded at how little choice we have in Missouri for a true Constitutional conservative to counteract the damage big government Roy Blunt is doing posing as a conservative.

You know what, I really don't like feeling like an dirty old whore from these political operatives who put party first and ignore the fact Sarah Steelman has invested her own money in as questionable places as well  as they play politics as usual hoping a blogger will fling their dirt. Politics as usual is taking a huge toll on our Constitution and I don't want to play the establishment game.

I spoke with Todd Abrajano of the Brunner campaign. He says Brunner set up a charitable foundation and gave his children a say in where the money was directed. It was one of the Brunner kids who made the donation to the Humane Farming Association on the terms John Brunner himself would not interfere with who his children made donations to. .

This sounds like it could be spin so I probably will investigate the Brunner documents and accusations more than just taking Abrajano's word for it, but I felt Steelman's campaign should be called out because noting Steelman made contributions to companies that conduct business with terrorist states after Steelman called for Missourians to boycott those companies.

Let me tell you why I will investigate Brunner. It has nothing to do with hoping Steelman gets elected. She is just another establishment type without the backbone to put the Constitution first before the GOP. It has nothing to do with hurting Brunner's chances at the nod. It has everything to do with hoping to find a candidate with character as I have been critical of both the Steelman and Todd Akin campaigns, noting that when this race began to take shape in the early days, I had an Akin for Senate graphic on this page until a series of votes regarding Akin's commitment to Constitutional rights left me scratching my head.

What it does have to do with is fighting the very forces that threatened the Dollarhite family and honest American farmers everywhere. If Brunner is contributing to organizations that attack our farmers and make doing their jobs harder as these organizations infiltrate government, then Brunner does indeed need to be exposed. Just remember as this stuff comes out, Steelman is no saint either as her campaign pushes this whisper campaign (read memo above).

Hey Sarah, do your own dirty work. Your campaign doesn't care about me and the political retribution that will affect me if I push this story for you. Sling your own dirt. I don't want to do it for you.


For the record, it appears the Steelman campaign may have cleaned house again. You may remember Steelman firing staff members last fall. I have learned Patrick Tuohey was hired a couple weeks ago to be Steelman's press secretary. I guess he wasn't told this blog still thinks the following video is hysterical and not in a good sense for his candidate and Congressman Billy Long.
