Federal Troops Training in St. Louis, MO: Fort Mead MP Battalion

The city of St. Louis will be the site for the next few days of lots of federal US Army troops. They are conducting MP drills with new armored equipment in the Gateway City according to KSDK. Apparently, neighboring St. Charles County is a hotbed of these troops conducting drills on city streets.

 St. Louis City residents should not be alarmed if they see military vehicles in their neighborhoods. (of course not!)

The U.S. Army is conducting training in St. Louis June 21-28.

Police said residents in the police department's sixth district may be most likely to see the vehicles.  The sixth district includes neighborhoods in north St. Louis.

Now having served in the Army, most army bases are equipped with proper training facilities? Once again, the question needs to be asked why do federal troops need to train in our neighborhoods? Why can't they train at Fort Leonard Wood a few miles down I-44? What is on the Pentagon's foresight that creates a need for our military to train in the middle of a major city? If you answer a second St. Louis Cardinal World Series ring in as many years, you are clueless to what is really going on in our country as the dollar continues to get dangerously close to collapse as Congress has given Obama and the military the power to indefinitely detain Americans for whatever is ahead.



Remember, it was Republican Lindsey Graham who declared the battlefield is in our backyards now. If you are a St. Louis resident you are obviously starting to see the hint of that.

Interestingly enough, these troops are conducting training that would be consistent with the idea of indefinite detainment considering this is a group of MP's coming in from Fort Mead. Remember, the Army has been hiring these types of troops and more and more of them are using our city streets to train.

Or perhaps, we shouldn't be concerned at all that federal troops are training in our neighborhood. Perhaps they are just taking some time out of their stressful life at Fort Mead for some needed R&R at PT's Showclub. Yeah, that's probably the reason why they are in St. Louis...

No reason to be alarmed at all.
