Dale Earnhardt Jr. Wins and Congressman Billy Long Gets a Return on Investment at MIS

It took a lot of government dollars to make a lot of NASCAR fans happy yesterday. Dale Earnhardt Jr. won his first race in a few years at Michigan International Speedway in the Irish Hills of Brooklyn, Michigan. I hope Jr. didn't forget all the people who made it happen like "fed up" Congressman Billy Long, who went to Washington "fed up" of federal spending and then decided it was the role of the taxpayer to make sure Dale Earnhardt Jr. was sponsored by the federal government.


The Army's sponsorship of Ryan Newman totals $7.4 million this year. AJ Allmendinger is sponsored by the US Air Force at at total of $1.6 million a year. Then there is JR. The National Guard spends $20 million a year to sponsor Dale Jr.

We of course are $16 trillion in debt and Billy Long believes putting federal stickers on stock cars is more important than fiscal responsibility. Long and the Republicans failed to come up with the $100 billion in spending cuts they promised voters in last year's HR1 because Long and his Republican buddies couldn't part ways with their relationship with Jr.

It took a while, but that relationship paid off as Jr. finally won a race yesterday. I guess you could say Billy Long helped make it happen with and investment of the Rick Hendrick car with your tax dollars. Hope you enjoyed the trip to Victory Lane Congressman Long! Thanks for once again being a good steward of our tax dollars. Junior went 143 races without a win.
