Mitt for Brains Begins Attacking Ron Paul for Cutting Government
Ron Paul's economic plan shrinks government. This is something Republicans often promise to do, but in reality they never really do. In fact, looking back at the George W. Bush years, there was lots of government growing going on including that pesky Department of Homeland Security, which at the heart seems to be violating every God-given right of decency and privacy there is.
A couple weeks ago we saw how the Republican establishment led by Eric Cantor attacked Richard Mourdock, who ran against RINO Dick Lugar in Indiana, for promising to cut the size of the federal government. I am happy to report today Mourdock beat the long-time Senator in the primary. This race proves how little the Republican party actually wants to cut government, and Mitt Romney is no exception as his plan does little to make deep cuts after 12 years of massive amounts of government spending from both the Bush and Obama administrations.
Ron Paul has the only plan that begins cutting government leading to a trillion dollars in savings from the get go. Guess who is attacking Dr. Paul....
It's not Barack Obama. No, it's Mitt for Brains. This shouldn't be a surprise since Mitt Romney was a proponent of stimulus spending.
We are told this Republican primary is over. Yet, with it supposedly over, Mitt Romney is showing his true colors as the big government, liberal Republican he proved to be as governor of Massachusetts--a governor who grew government and increased spending in Massachusetts. If this race is over, why is Mitt Romney showing us his true colors with new attacks against Ron Paul?
From the Washington Times:
"My job is to get America back on track to have a balanced budget. Now I'm not going to cut $1 trillion in the first year," he said, distancing himself from Mr. Paul's plan to slice more than a quarter of the estimated $3.8 trillion being spent by the the federal government.
Why not, someone in the crowd apparently asked, sparking a response from the former Massachusetts governor.
"The reason," he explained, "is taking a trillion dollars out of a $15 trillion economy would cause our economy to shrink [and] would put a lot of people out of work."
In other words, like Obama, Mitt Romney believes the bloated federal government has a role in creating jobs, and to begin shrinking government to start reducing the debt is not in Mitt for Brain's plans. Nope, keep it as it is because there are always future generations of tax payers who Mitt and Obama can squander their wealth without ever looking them into the face.
We are nearing $16 trillion in debt, and Mitt Romney isn't very worried.
