CISPA: It's Time to Kick Michele Bachmann Out of the Tea Party

Remember those days when Michele Bachmann wanted a Constitution class for freshman representatives? It appears Congresswoman Bachmann needs her own course. Under her leadership as the head of the Tea Party Caucus in Congress, an caucus sent to Washington to enforce the Constitution, 71% of the members of the Tea Party Caucus voted to give the federal government Fourth Amendment killing authority over your Internet access. Bachmann herself cast her vote to kill the Fourth Amendment just like Allen West and other self proclaimed Tea Party members like Billy Long in Missouri.

As Republicans accuse Democrats of killing the Constitution through Obamacare, which is true, we learn Republicans don't care much about saving the Constitution either.

According to math completed by Patrick Cahalan, “88% of the overall GOP members (casting a vote) voted yea, 23% of the Dems (casting a vote) voted yea, and 71% of the Tea Party (casting a vote) voted yea.” 


This works out to be 44 of the 66 members of the House Tea Party Caucus who voted to trash the Bill of Rights. Before Sarah Palin and the Koch brothers, the Tea Party was about the Constiituion. Now it is about reliqiushing our right to be left alone to the NSA, CIA, FBI and the national security state.


In the name of national security, the Republicans gave Obama the power to track your Internet usage whether it be the Web sites you surf, the e-mail you write (even if you have a Reagan.com e-mail address), and even tap your cache. This is a clear violation of the Fourth Amendment.

Has Bachmann forgotten it was Benjamin Franklin who said, "those who give up liberty for security deserve neither"?

It's time to kick Bachmann, West, Long, and these other 88% out of the Tea Party once and for all. We know people like Tera Sukman who runs the Tea Party Patriot HQ in Branson, Missouri doesn't have the courage to turn on her Republican deception buddies to call out their violations to the Constitution, and so Bachmann will get away with this crime against the Constitution.
