Constitutional Conservative Republican Mike Moon Officially Enters Race Against Billy Long
Mike Moon gave a passionate speech at the Lincoln Day even in Joplin a few weeks ago. He evoked the spirit of Joe Wilson analyzing Billy Long's big spending, big government record that failed to make any significant cuts in the size of government and deficit spending. Billy told us he was fed up and was going to Washington to something about, "well, HE LIED," exclaimed Moon. A couple weeks later the Republican establishment in Taney County decided to protect Long's not so conservative record and didn't allow Moon to speak, much to the approval of republican mob boss Mavis Busiek who was hear saying "GOOD" when they announced Moon would not be given the microphone.
Well, they have no reason now that justifies not giving Mike Moon the microphone so he can point out to voters Billy Long was never "fed up" and quickly embraced the same Washington establishment Long went to Washington because voters like you bought into his quirky rhetoric. Mike Moon is now an official candidate for Congress.
Moon drove up to Jefferson City yesterday, paid his dues to the Republican party, and filed with the Secretary of State. Moon realizes the lack of leadership in the Republican House led to no significant changes in the way things are done in Washington as he noted the Republicans led the charge for another $2.4 trillion with the Billy Long backed debt ceiling increase, while the Republicans who now control the purse strings gave us another $1 trillion in deficits last year.
So now we have a real Constitutional conservative in the race, and we already see signs of the Republicans, who made Tea Party promises two years ago, fighting it. Before announcing, Christian County Chairman Walt Martens parading around a 24 year old monkey who apparently can recite the Missouri Republican platform and still lives at home with mom and dad and is running for Congress asked Moon to reconsider entering the race. As mentioned earlier, Mavis Busiek gave her approval of the Taney County Chair's decision not to let Mike Moon speak.
So it's going to be a tough road for Mike Moon, but the question voters need to ask is was Billy Long fed up or did he embrace the establishment and become a puppet? If you want to continue trillion dollar deficits because Billy Long can't vote against NASCAR sponsorship, then don't vote for Mike Moon. If you want to continue the destruction of the Constitution because Billy Long obviously can't figure out the Patriot Act and the National Defense Authorization Act, which gives the federal government power to indefinitely detain Americans without due process, don't vote for Mike Moon.
If you want a real conservative and someone who will fight for your rights and vote against big spending and big government, Mike Moon is the man with convictions. I hope you will look to Mike Moon come August to end Billy Long's vacation in Washington, DC. It's time to send the auctioneer back to his auction barn.
