Tornados Keep Ravaging Congressman Billy Long's District: Tornado Drills and HAM Radios Discounted by Congressman

Ever feel like we are getting a reality check for the leadership (or lack of) we chose to represent us in Southwest Missouri in Congess? Since electing Billy Long to Congress, the man who mocked tornado drills, Missouri's 7th Congressional District has been bombarded by dangerous tornadoes. With each one, I am reminded of the wisdom of Congressman Long who mocked tornado drills and co-sponsored some controversial legislation.

Last night tornadoes hit Branson, Kimberling City, and Fair Grove as well as near by Buffalo who I am not sure but may be a victim of redistricting and now a part of the 7th District. I will have to research that. None the less we are once again reminded at how carelessly Congressman Long's words and actions are when it comes to the seriousness of storms that often hit Southwest Missouri, and with what seems like increasing frequency since Billy snubbed the weather gods.

Remember, it wasn't just the tweet. It's also the fact the Congressman Billy Long co-sponsored legislation to sell off HAM radio frequencies--the same frequencies that provide early warning for these dangerous tornadoes that continue to bombard Congressman Long's district.
