Rush Limbaugh is Right on Romney: Romney Makes it Hard to Go After Obama
“He comes across as the prototypical rich Republican. And it's gonna make it harder and harder and harder and harder to go after Obama because this turns around on him.” Rush Limbaugh on Mitt Romney's comments about not caring about the poor.
Rush Limbaugh is right, but it's not just this comment and other things Romney has done to earn him the title of soulless. It's really the Romney record that is going to make it hard to go after Obama. Why the Republicans aren't more concerned about this, and why Rush Limbaugh and the conservative talk radio mafia isn't more concerned about this baffles me. Romney's record will be exposed neutralizing most arguments against Obama.
Obviously, Romney neutralizes the Obamacare argument no matter how many times he uses the 10th Amendment. Big government is big government and when it robs people of the freedom to choose, it's government at its worse.
Then you have Romney the gun grabber who supported the Brady Bill and called for a ban on all semiautomatics.
You have Romney the cap and trader which is the exact same position Obama took. They both want to tax the air.
The truth is Romney is a big government spender who oversaw spending increases in Massachusetts. Because of this, Romney's record shows he raised taxes more times that Obama raised taxes.
While the poor comment may make headlines later down the road, it is the Romney record that will prove there is little difference between Obama and Romney. If you can't run against the Obama record, you lose.
