Newt Gingrich Changes the Name of Obamacare to Obamneycare, but Gingrich Isn't the Most Honest Man About His Record

It's quite clever on Newt Gingrich's part to give credit where credit is partially due for Obamacare. In doing so, Newt has combined Obama's name with Romney's name calling it Obamaney care. I like it except for one exception. It's coming from dishonest Newt Gingrich.

While there is nothing dishonest with the ad and the name Obamneycare, since Mitt Romney did run the pilot program for Obamacare, there is dishonesty that isn't presented in the Gingrich record. After all, in May 2009, Newt did make a bold statement supporting Obamacare.



As well, Newt Gingrich has positioned himself to profit from Obamacare. He serves on the board with Tom Daschle at General Electric's Healthymagination, a company set up by Obama buddy Jeff Immelt specifically to take advantage of the Obamacare legislation.

Let us not forget either that it was Republicans like Newt working with the Heritage Foundation in 1994 to produce an alternative to Hillarycare where Obamacare was born. Obamacare is more Newt's baby than it is Obamacare.

So perhaps the proper name should be Gingbamneycare.
