BBCW's Wacky Liberal of the Year 2011: #1 Mitt Romney

The 2012 presidential election should have been an easy victory for the GOP. However, the GOP once again has forgotten to learn the lesson that liberal Republicans don't energize the base. For some strange reason as the GOP establishment uses the words "repeal and replace" at the rallying cry against Obamacare, they obviously have picked Mitt Romney as the chosen one in 2012.

Yes, the same Mitt Romney that took a healthcare package that was the alternative to Hillarycare created by Republicans and the Heritage Foundation in 1994 with its forced mandate that forces people to purchase healthcare insurance and made it the law of the land in Massachusetts. Of course, Romneycare became the inspiration for Obamacare and by February this year, Barack Obama himself was singing the praises of Mitt Romney and his big government socialized healthcare system.

So Romney "the chosen one" nomination will take Obamacare off the debate table, no matter how many times Romney cites the Tenth Amendment--something I doubt he seriously believes in. In the GOP's chosen one--we will get four more years of Barack Obama, because the Tea Party base is going to see the hypocrisy of Mitt and the GOP, who I have always predicted will fail at reversing Obamacare once they realize the power and lobbyist money that's in it for them.

Because the irony of the 2012 election is simply the ignorance of the GOP to push a Romney nomination and removing the Obamacare debate, and the fact that Mitt Romney is a liberal who appears he will be successful enough to fool enough people that he is a conservative even after pushing the pilot program for Obamacare, the wolf in sheep's clothing wins this year's BBCW Wacky Liberal of the Year Award.

Before I end this, let's look at the success of Ronmeycare in Massachusetts. The New York Post pointed out about Romneycare:

In fact, we have already seen the start of this process in Massachusetts, where Mitt Romney’s health care reforms were nearly identical to President Obama’s. Romney’s reforms increased the demand for health care but did nothing to expand the supply of physicians. In fact, by cracking down on insurance premiums, Massachusetts pushed insurers to reduce their payments to providers, making it less worthwhile for doctors to expand their practices. As a result, the average wait to get an appointment with a doctor grew from 33 days to over 55 days.

By the way, there are a lot of other issues that prove Mitt Romney is a leftist...

Progressive Republicans Continue to Attack Constitutional Conservatism in Ron Paul: Newt Calls Paul a Protest Candidate

The GOP establishment sure is spending a lot of time on a candidate that weeks ago they claimed could not win against Barack Obama in November. With Newt Gingrich not even on the Iowa radar anymore, looking like his campaign fizzled out, Newt continues pushing the establishment's rhetoric.

Newsmax recently interviewed progressive Newt, and as commanded Newt misrepresented Dr. Paul's views:

“You have somebody who is for the legalization of drugs, you have somebody who blames America for 9/11, you have somebody who doesn’t think it matters if Iran gets nuclear weapons, and seems totally unwilling to defend Israel, you have somebody who came out for basically the abolition of Medicare/Medicaid and Social Security, and you have somebody who can’t defend and won’t take responsibility for his own newsletters even when they had very negative, very destructive things in them,” Gingrich says.

“Now, I think Ron Paul is terrific as a protest candidate. I mean you have to admire him. He has worked hard. I think he sincerely believes what he is saying and I think a lot of people are initially attracted to him because it sounds pure and it sounds clear but those folks haven’t looked at what he actually stands for.

“I don’t think the Republican Party — and Gary Johnson discovered this, the former governor of New Mexico — is going to nominate somebody who is for legalizing drugs. We’re not going to nominate somebody who thinks that it is okay for Iran to have nuclear weapons and we’re not going to nominate somebody who doesn’t care if Israel is wiped out.

“So I think when you really think about him as president, it’s not going to happen, which doesn’t mean in the short run that [he can’t do well] in a place like Iowa where there is a caucus. He has thousands of young people coming to help him because they want to legalize drugs. Well, that’s their prerogative. In a free society they can be for that and they’ll be formidable in a situation like Iowa.

“But in the long run, in primaries where we have lots of voters, I think the American people are going to repudiate that idea by an overwhelming margin.”

Let's clear up some things Newt. Ron Paul understands the federal government has little authority to fight a war on drugs. They have no Constitutional authority to tell the states what drugs are illegal. Ron Paul says drugs are a 10th Amendment issue, and he is right. That's the problem with the Republican party with candidates like Newt--they like the central power of Mordor on the Potomac as much as Obama and the Democrats do. When you bring up state sovereignty, that stigmatize it with slavery all to create a strong central government where states are robbed of their powers.

Newt, I really don't see you as President. That's one guarantee that is not going to happen. Ron Paul may win Iowa and Newt doesn't have a chance.

What's even more funny about Newt's talking points is Israel. Israel isn't going to be wiped off the map because Ron Paul is president. They have the most prepared military in the region and are well capable of defending themselves. Newt ignores our military is supposed to be used for a common defense--not to build empires. All this nation building--which is really the United States pointing in gun in its enemy's face and demanding they become democracies is a source of hate that is destroying this country by putting us into a never-ending war phase. Watch the national debt rise.

Newt can't be happy with Benjamin Netanyahu's recent speech that supports Ron Paul's view on Israel.

Newt dumbs down Ron Paul's supporters. I am offended by what Newt says. Newt says Ron Paul's support comes from kids who want drugs legalized. This is misleading. Ron Paul supporters are passionate about limited government, state sovereignty, and a return to the following the Constitution. The very fact, Newt can't offer that insight tells me Newt could care less about the Constitution and only about the power of being the ultimate federal overlord ruling from Mordor on the Potomac.

Now Chris Matthews Works to Destroy Ron Paul

If Chris Matthews attacks Ron Paul, Dr. Paul is obviously doing something right. The crazy Matthews ranted against Paul for most of his show. I ask you, why would Matthews spend so much time on Ron Paul if its true Paul can't win in November? Of course Matthews uses the Republican establishment's talking points of recent week in hopes of derailing Paul.

TSA Thug Caught Downloading Child Pornography: Scott Wilson of Maryland

Another sick TSA Thug

The federal overlords running the Department of Homeland Security have killed the Fourth Amendment. At any given time at any airport around the United States, a TSA thug can strip search you and feel you up and there is little you can do about. People have been arrested for simply speaking out and refusing.

Once again we see how careless the federal government is in hiring these thugs--who may be touching your children in airport lines.

TSA thug Scott Wilson (41) was caught with lots of child pornography on his home computer. Maryland police, hopefully with a search warrant, raided Wilson house earlier this week.

“A “forensic preview” of Wilson’s two computers (as well as various storage devices found in a locked safe) revealed a variety of videos and photos “depicting prepubescent females engaged in sexually explicit conduct with adults,” reports The Smoking Gun.

The Smoking Gun goes on to report:

After waiving his Miranda rights, Wilson--who has been suspended by the TSA--told investigators that he used his laptop to download illicit images of children, and that he “sometimes masturbates to the images of child pornography.” Wilson added that he “usually deletes the child pornography” after viewing movies and images “because he knows that it is not right in a legal and moral sense. Wilson stated that he knows that he has a problem.”

BBCW's Wacky Liberal of the Year 2011: #2 John P. Holdren

Getting the federal government and the United Nations out of our schools has been a focus of this blog in 2011. So it should be no surprise John P. Holdren is this year's wacky liberal of the year #2.

Communist philosophies have always betrayed educational venues with infiltration. This is the history in the expansion of communism--education is critical to change the thoughts and ideas through conditioning. Communism uses a Trojan horse philosophy to change thought.

A May 1937 article on communism titled "The Schools and the People's Front" states: "Marxist-Leninist analysis must be injected into every class." In order that this might be accomplished successfully, "the Party must take careful steps to see that all teacher comrades are given thorough education in the teachings of Marxism-Leninism." It was stressed that "Communist teachers are faced with a tremendous social responsibility." They must affect the children's thinking, and they must mobilize other teachers. But all of this was to be done from the work in the classroom to the agitation among other teachers -- "without exposing themselves."

I remind you of this because environmentalism is the new communism in the world. Green is the new red. It works to destroy the capitalist industrial world in exchange for statist control, and once again we have an Obama official displaying they understand the truth that education is important in adoption.

That was Obama's top science adviser, John P. Holdren, saying we need more indoctrination to change the mind of free thinking people who have seen through global warming fraud--and this is even after Hadley CRU was caught cooking the books a couple years ago. Now think about that with what I just told you about the communist philosophy to control education--the Trojan horse infiltration.

“It is an education problem. I think we have to educate them,” John Holdren says.

Now let's not forget that Holden is a eugenicist, which is a belief held by both Hitler and Stalin. Remember, Stalin often gets a pass because he was an ally of the United Stated during World War II fighting the "bigger evil" Adolf Hitler, but is just as guilty of Hitler of sending hundreds of thousands to their death. Not only that, but it's documented thatHoldren has ties to the same Chicago communists that Obama played with in the early days.

Make no doubt about it, as schools across the country adopt the International Baccalaureate global education  curriculum, with its lesson plans often touching on global warming and population control, which I have seen first hand in math story problems and other homework assignments, the seed has been planted and many conservative communities like Ozark, Missouri, are taking the bait selling the program as a curriculum that will better prepare students for college. No, it's a curriculum that indoctrinates, and we have Obama's top science adviser talking a lot like a Marxist on the subject of education indoctrination. Remember it was Obama and William Ayers who pushed the International Baccalaureate on Chicago schools through the Annenberg Challenge.

Newt Gingrich Means More Big Government Education: Federal Funding for Music Education

A desperate Newt Gingrich is now promising music for kids as part of his campaign platform. Using his third wife, Callista Gingrich, we know we can count on Newt to push more Department of Education failures. Take a look:

Music education? This is what Newt thinks is going to get him into the White House? How about getting the federal government out of education Mr. Gingrich? Oh, that's right, that would be a conservative thing to do and might upset your progressive buddies.

GOProud: Richard Nixon's Darkest Secrets, Did Tricky Did Enjoy Dick?

If you a regular reader of this blog, you know I am no fan of Richard Nixon. Nixon abused the powers of his office far beyond that exposed in Watergate. Nixon had his list of political enemies and perhaps the truth why he would need such a list may be coming out.

It appears Richard Nixon may be our first gay president according to a new book. Nixon's Darkest Secrets claims Nixon kept this secret in the closet.

A veteran White House reporter reveals our 37th president was even more sinister and haunted than we knew.

Richard Nixon left the White House in 1974 as our most disgraced president, but the American people never knew the full extent of his demons, deceptions, paranoia, prejudices, hatreds, and chicanery.

Calling on his work in covering Nixon, scores of interviews with members of Congress, White House staffers, and others close to our nation’s thirty-seventh president, and invaluable, newly declassified documents and recordings, veteran journalist Don Fulsom sheds new light on “Tricky Dick.” The author’s revelations include:

That the future president sabotaged the 1968 peace talks for political gain

By the time Nixon became president in 1969, he had linked to the mob for more than two decades and, as president, had a close connection with New Orleans boss Carlos Marcello, the most powerful Mafioso in the nation

The president had a drinking problem and top aides referred to him as "Our Drunk"
Nixon had a misogynist streak and was abusive toward first lady Pat Nixon

The intimate and possibly homosexual nature of Nixon's relationship with confidante Charles "Bebe" Rebozo, a banker with mob ties

Testimony alleging that the president had ordered the killing of White House reporter Jack Anderson

So perhaps the enemies list was made to keep his secret in the closet.

Dick Morris Pushes the Idea Ron Paul is the Most Liberal Candidate, and Perhaps He is Right (But Not for the Reasons He Gives)

Our founding fathers were classical liberals. The idea of people ruling themselves without kings and producing the freest society was for its time quite liberal thinking. Back then being liberal meant something totally different.

Throughout his terms in Congress, Ron Paul has walked the walk of our founding fathers testing each vote to the Constitution authority provided to him.

As the Republican establishment, who made huge promises to follow the Constitution, attacks the Iowa frontrunner, It appears Dick Morris delivers the next set of talking points all designed to make Mitt Romney--the establishment's choice--the nominee come next fall. To do this, the GOP is having to place every label on Ron Paul as they can in order to destroy him.

Last night on Fox News, Dick Morris opened his yapper trying to attach the "l" word to Ron Paul.

Describing Paul as “the most liberal, radical left-wing person to run for president in the United States in the last 50 years,” Morris added, “This guy is no conservative. This guy is a ultra, ultra left-wing radical.”

“I think it’s horrible!” Morris exclaimed. “Nobody else wants to dismantle the military, including Obama, but he does. Even Obama doesn’t want to repeal the Patriot Act but he does! Even Obama doesn’t say that we caused 9/11 and brought it on ourselves. But Ron Paul does. Even Obama doesn’t want to legalize heroin and cocaine, but Ron Paul does.”

So here is Dick Morris spreading lies and pushing for less freedom. The Patriot Act obviously has led to federal thugs feeling up grandma at the airport--a total violation of the Fourth Amendment. Ron Paul's support of the Fourth Amendment is the very reason he opposes the Patriot Act.

The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.

Also notice how Dick Morris misrepresents Dr. Paul's views on drugs. He doesn't want to legalize drugs like heroine and cocaine. Paul points out the federal government's war on drug is a drain on taxpayers costing billions and producing no results. Paul's view on this is the Constitution gives the federal government no right to fight a drug war and it definitely doesn't give the federal government power to pass drug laws based on the 10th Amendment.

The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.

I remind you both George Washington and Thomas Jefferson grew marijuana. Yes, it's true.

Then there is this idea Ron Paul is going to dismantle the military. These words can only come from neocons like Morris--who are well taken care of by the vast military industrial complex. Our Constitution states our military is for a "common defense." Neocons like Morris believe in the new American imperialism, while Dr. Paul has the intelligence to see the fall of every imperial society from Rome to England has fallen because of the costs to maintain the empire. In case you haven't noticed Dick, the United States is $15 trillion plus in debt. Ron Paul is the only fiscal conservative with a plan to cut federal spending $1 trillion, something the Republican party doesn't seem to want to do.

And so if the Republican establishment using their pundits like Dick Morris think they are going to destroy Ron Paul by slapping the "l" word on Ron Paul, I declare to my fellow Tea Party members, Ron Paul is a liberal in the very best sense of the word--following classical liberals like Thomas Jefferson--who actually stood for little "r" republicanism--something the Republican party forgot decades ago.

"Nuisance Abatement Teams" and the Expanding Federal Police State

There was a time in America where men developed skills to feed their families by hunting and farming. Those days are almost gone and Americans have become dangerously dependent on the grid to supply their nourishment and water. What happens when that grid can't support everyone due to disasters, war, or famine? You know the modern story that eggs come out of supermarkets and not chickens?

More and more people are returning to the traditional gathering methods--however, the numbers are still very few. Now there appears to be a federal thug in the future of anyone that decides to "live off the grid."

With Agenda 21 quickly becoming the future of the United States, it appears a new police force called nuisance abatement teams may spread fear for those who decided to live off the grid and promote food freedom.

Nuisance abatement teams are designed to push Agenda 21 and intimidate people from using the natural resources on their land to sustain life. If you choose to live off the grid, chances are you might come face to face with the new American police like the people you see in the videos and taken to jail if you don't comply.

The US is Moving Ever Closer to War With Iran: US Navy Prepares for War

Iran is conducting military drills. This isn't a crime. The United States Navy must think it is and tensions are rising as it appears war with Iran is not far way.

“A US aircraft carrier entered a zone near the Strait of Hormuz being used by the Iranian navy for wargames, an Iranian official said Thursday amid rising tensions over the key oil-transit channel,” reports YNet News.

“US officials announced Wednesday that the ship and its accompanying battle group moved through the Strait of Hormuz, a narrow stretch at the entrance to the Gulf that is the world’s most important choke point for oil shipments.”

Now I want to pose this question. What if another country interfered and tried to intimidate the training of our own military in our backyard? Do you think we would be happy about it?

To this day, what has Iran done to threaten our own national security? Creating a nuclear weapon is simply not a valid answer. Look at our relationship with Pakistan. They harbor dangerous terrorists and have nukes, and yet we send them billions of dollars every year in aid despite a relationship between our country and theirs where there is little trust.

We are now over $15 trillion in debt. We fight endless wars to occupy without ever defining a victory. History teaches us empires fall because of their costs. I think we need to pay attention to history's lessons and only use our military for what the Constitution says it is to be used for--a common defense.

Billy Long Was Home for the Holidays and Absent From Debate for Payroll Tax Issue

Another one of Billy Long's tweets is in question. Last week, Long used the military to create this idea he was going to have to sacrifice this Christmas by having to stay in Washington, DC for Christmas.

Long told Chad on KZRG that Congress always planned to go home for Christmas by putting a temporary band-aid on the payroll tax issue. As of December 22, 2011, Long was already home for the holidays--meaning he got an extended break from his job--giving speeches at Rotary Club. On December 23, he was doing radio in Joplin.

Long was asked if he was going to head back to Washington for the payroll tax vote, Long said no. He couldn't get back to Washington, DC in time. In other words, Billy Long complained about this issue, but didn't feel like it was worth sacrificing his Christmas vacation to get back to Washingon. He said he didn't have enough time to get back to Washington on KZRG. Long has been noticeably absent on other key votes as of late like the National Defense Authorization Act, which gives Obama the authority to detain Americans without due process.

US Congressman Billy Long on the KZRG Morning News Watch

Long talks with Chad Elliot about the Payroll Tax debacle in Washington.

Now remember politicians like to create this illusion they are sacrificing for the people. Claire McCaskill uses this rhetoric as she said two years ago she wasn't going to get home in time for Christmas to bake Christmas cookies. Senator McCaskill, like Billy, made it

Michele Bachmann's Former Campaign Adviser Now Endorses Ron Paul: Calls Out the Republican Establishment's Orchestrated Attempts to Destroy Dr. Paul

Michele Bachman adviser Kent Sorenson has left the Bachmann camp. He is now 100% behind Ron Paul. Sorenson made the announcement in Iowa.

The basis Sorenson's decision means he will probably never have a future in the Republican establishment again. In other words Sorenson has shown real courage for calling out the GOP's orchestrated attempts to crush Ron Paul's chances of winning so the "chosen one" Mitt Romney will easily get the nomination.

Sorenson made the announcement at a Paul rally with veterans here in Des Moines, telling the crowd: "I believe we're at a turning point in this campaign."

Calling the decision to abandon Bachmann a painful one, Sorenson said he felt obligated to join Paul as the "Republican establishment" tries to undermine his campaign.

"I thought it was my duty to come to his aid, just like he came to my aid during my Senate race, which was a very nasty race," Sorenson said, pledging to go all-out for Paul over the next few days.

To cheers from the crowd, he continued: "We're going to take Ron Paul all the way to the White House."

Your Federal Government is Spending Billions Monitoring You on Social Media

Big Sis Janet Napolitano is watching you on your social media networks. The Department of Homeland Security issued a report now that clearly proves once again, Americans are the enemy of the state and they are watching the things you do, what you write, and the pictures you post on social media outlets. Of course, all this is costing the taxpayers billions as DHS expands creating more tyranny. You see anything you write on Facebook is protected by the First Amendment. Of course, our federal government doesn't seem to care much about those rights anymore.

Here are the details:

DHS Monitoring Social Media

BBCW Wacky Liberal of the Year 2011:#3 Barack Obama

Barack Obama is a dangerous man. No other president before him has used the executive order in ways that clearly destroy our way of life. Obama's motto this year has been forget Congress, I am doing it without them. From new EPA regulation to a war on the Second Amendment through the illegal war on drugs the America we know is dying thanks to the tyrant in the White House. Obama comes in this year at #3.

The GOP Establishment's Attack Hasn't Slowed Ron Paul Down

This past week we got to see deep inside the soul of the Republican party. In this view, it became quite apparent the party that embraced the Tea Party for political gains doesn't have the Constitution in their best interest. The establishments "chosen one" has been less than impressive in the polls hanging on to the same numbers week after week, failing to win over new voters. As Ron Paul climbed past Mitt Romney in the polls, the attacks came through what seemed an obvious partnership with Fox News to bring Ron Paul tumbling.

They used the word racist and tried to attach it to Congressman Paul with little evidence. A strange thing happened along the way, blacks began speaking up for Dr. Paul through social media and we also learned that out of all the Republicans, Paul is the favorite among black Americans.

Oh the establishment and Fox News ignored Dr. Paul's fight for equal Constitutional protections through due process for all Americans--not just the rich and privileged. And according to the latest poll information, the establishment's attack on Ron Paul hasn't hurt his chances.

The latest PPP poll shows Dr. Paul actually gained a point as the establishment bit.

The last week and a half has brought little change in the standings for the Iowa Republican caucus: Ron Paul continues to lead Mitt Romney by a modest margin, 24-20. Newt Gingrich is in 3rd at 13% followed by Michele Bachmann at 11%, Rick Perry and Rick Santorum at 10%, Jon Huntsman at 4%, and Buddy Roemer at 2%.

Iowa looks like a 2 person race between Paul and Romney as the campaign enters its final week. If Paul can really change the electorate by turning out all these young people and independents who don't usually vote in Republican caucuses, he'll win. If turnout ends up looking a little bit more traditional, Romney will probably prevail. And given all the strange twists and turns to this point don't expect to see a surprise in the final week...and based on the innards of this poll the person best positioned to provide that surprise in the closing stretch is Santorum.

It now appears Newt Gingrich is trying to win the favor of the Republican establishment. The GOP establishment's favorite adulterer began his attacks on Ron Paul earlier this week. It's just funny when you think about the Newt record both politically and morally.

So we have Newt Gingrich, the man who posed on the couch with Nancy Pelosi pushing global warming and cap and trade taxes telling us Ron Paul would be no better than Barack Obama. You know, the same Newt Gingrich that worked with the Heritage Foundation (a neocon think tank) to come up with the blueprints of Obamacare. You know, the same Newt that worked with Hillary Clinton to develop SCHIP. You know, the same Newt Gingrich that supported Fannie Mae's vision that every American was owed a home and was paid to get Republicans to look the other way as the housing crisis loomed on the horizon.

Yes, Newt Gingrich has gone negative against Ron Paul, the only man in the presidential race the truly cares about limited government and the Constitution.

"I think Barack Obama is very destructive to the future of the United States. I think Ron Paul's views are totally outside the mainstream of virtually every decent American," Gingrich said Tuesday in a CNN interview with Wolf Blitzer.

Could he vote for Paul? "No." If it came down to Paul vs. Obama? "You'd have a very hard choice at that point."

Well if Newt Gingrich is defining what a decent American is, you just have to laugh. Here is a man whose wife was recovering in a hospital bed that he delivered divorce papers to after telling her she wasn't young and pretty enough to be first lady. Yeah, real upstanding guy that Newt Gingrich is. I would prefer Mr. Gingrich not try to define the words decent American considering he seems a little clueless about being a decent American himself.

The Divided Republican Party of 2012

Having observed the establishment's dirty tricks against Ron Paul as he took the lead in Iowa, it's easy to see how divided the Republican party is in 2012. This divide comes from the establishment's decision to move to the left by pushing liberals like Mitt Romney as the chosen one to lead the party in hopes of a victory in November. This is a very dangerous game that I believe will give Barack Obama four more years. How is it you expect to beat Obamacare when the person you run ran the pilot program for Obamacare in his home state of Massachusetts?

The Republican party is broken into three groups these days. The unity celebrated after Ronald Reagan after 1980 is long gone, and the GOP became a party of big spenders and big government after Bush 41 took the reigns.

My friend Tom Martz writes, "We've got 3 big constituencies going into the primaries. 1. The religious right that loves wars, the police state and big government (Perry, Sanitorium and Bachmann) 2. the so-called big government Rockefeller wing (Gingrich, Romney, Perry, Sanitorium,) and 3. the liberty activists - Constitutionalists, REAL TEA Party activist, Independents, anti-war, anti-Fed folks (Paul)."

How did the Republican party become so split? First they left conservatism and went back to their country club roots. Then they became hawks rallying behind George W. Bush's war in Iraq based on lies. Then of course there was the pesky Tea Party, who they lied to in hopes most Tea Partiers wouldn't catch on the GOP was just as guilty of destroying the Constitution as their rivals in the Democratic party.

Because the GOP has no identity--they produce candidates like McCain who provide no real energy for a majority of GOP voters. They are about to do it again with Mitt Romney--having orchestrated the downfall of all others but Mitt to give Mitt the advantage he needs of being the next lefty Republican to run for President. Four more years of Obama seems more likely than it should right now. This is the leadership of the establishment at work.

BBCW Wacky Liberal of the Year 2011: #4 Newt Gingrich

It was once said Newt Gingrich led a conservative revolution. Words are always easier than actions, and had Newt left it at that, little would be said about the falsities of his revolution. When you consider Gingrich was behind big government programs like SCHIPs as Speaker, it's hard not to notice Newt was never about a conservative revolution--but his years as Speaker was spent preparing him for the millions he would make as a lobbyist.

It was Newt's days as a lobbyist that would expose Newt as the liberal he always was. There he took millions from taxpayers through big government entities like Fannie Mae--paid to turn a blind eye and convince other Republicans not to get in the way of the housing bubble that would soon destroy our economy.

It was there Newt took his embrace of government run healthcare--remember it was Republicans like Newt working with the Heritage Foundation that created the blue print of Obamacare--that forces Americans to engage in commerce at gunpoint from a federal thug known as the healthcare mandate. Of course, for Newt there was big money in this as he would soon be hired by Obama's buddy Jeff Immelt of General Electric to serve on the board of Healthymagination while Newt made big money from other companies and lobbies pushing government run healthcare.

Then there was Newt embracing the radical environmental scheme that's destroying our private property rights by accepting the unproven science of global warming. You may remember this commercial with Nancy Pelosi...

And then Newt pushed cap and trade taxes just like liberal Obama.

So for accepting the left's agenda, Newt Gingrich is named a BBCW Wacky Liberal of the Year for 2011.

Average Net Worth of Congressman Up 15% During Bad Economy: Average American Net Worth Down 8%

Congressman Billy Long spent the entire campaign season convincing voters they were sending an average citizen to Washington. His send a citizen to Washington theme successfully steered people away from understanding what they were really doing is sending another millionaire to Washington. While I don't believe in class envy, I am concerned by how members of Congress are drastically increasing their wealth while serving the public on a salary that is far less than most of them made in their public sector jobs.

A member of Congress makes $174,000 a year. The last time they had a pay increase their salaries were $169,300.--far less than a 15% increase to the $174,000 level. Yet a new report shows the average worth of a Congress critter is up 15% while the average net worth of an American is down 8%.

Members of Congress have historically been wealthier than the average American, but the net worth of lawmakers on Capitol Hill has jumped considerably in recent decades, two new analyses show.

From 2004 to 2010, the median net worth of members of Congress jumped 15 percent, the New York Times reports. In that same period, the net worth of the richest 10 percent of Americans held steady while Americans overall saw their median net worth fall 8 percent.

An analysis from the Washington Post shows that from 1984 to 2009, the median net worth of a member of the House more than doubled from $280,000 to $725,000 in inflation-adjusted 2009 dollars, excluding home equity. The average American family saw its wealth slightly decline in that same time frame.

Yet, our founding fathers vision of the House was a place where average people could have their voice in government. The truth is it's not average people. It's millionaires like Billy Long, who go to Washington to cash in with the special benefits and advantages that Congress critters enjoy that average Americans don't get to partake of.

We know in December 2009, Billy Long began complaining about the real estate market and the effect it had on his businesses.

It's hurt our business like everybody else's. People think auctioneers will do better in bad times, but the truth is, we do better in good times, when there's a lot of demand in the market. ... Right now, there's not much demand, and there's a lot of supply. People will call wanting me to auction their house, and maybe they owe $180,000 and it's only worth $150,000 now.

So millionaire Long decided it was his turn to go to the land of milk and honey--aka Mordor on the Potomac.

When you start looking at just how much the net worth of some of these Congress critters have risen in the past few years during a down economy, it's no wonder people like Billy Long decided he wanted to get to Congress--considering his interview in the Springfield Business Journal.

Earlier this year, as part of CBSNews.com's United States of Influence series, Hotsheet explored the reasons why members of Congress are unusually wealthy: To start with, political campaigns that have become increasingly costly to run. Once in office, members of Congress enjoy access to connections and information they can use to increase their wealth, in ways that are unparalleled in the private sector. And once politicians leave office, their connections allow them to profit even further.

NBC also reported on this story tonight during their evening news. They reminded us as they showed Nancy Pelosi's net worth at a staggering $190 million, how Congress critters are more successful in the stock market than the average Joe. Of course, this was something 60 Minutes touched on earlier this year as insider trading is rampant in the halls of Congress.

While it's too soon to see how Billy Long's fortune has done since getting into Congress, it's easy to suspect, based on the failing housing market, there may be some temptation on his part to partake in these Congressional advantages--which differentiates Congress critters from just average citizens--which Long tried to pass himself off as. It will be interesting to watch the net worth--of course, we already know there are many questions about the integrity of Long's federal disclosure.

The bottom line that needs the focus here is these people who claim they are committed to public service making $174,000 have become very, very rich while serving in office--far richer than a $174,000 income makes one. While I believe in investments--there are plenty of Americans who would be put in federal prison for all the insider trading and other activities that Congress gets away with to build their personal wealth. Public service as a Congress critter has become a job of building vast amounts of personal wealth on a $174,000 a year salary while building an insurmountable national debt that will soon confiscate more of our income.

Muslim Political Correctness Hits Army JROTC: Muslim Cadets May Now Wear Hijab in Uniform

There is about to be a change in Army uniform for JROTC cadets. The "Army of one" is starting to become the Army of political correctness that no longer focuses on building a team by wiping away individual traits. Rather it is becoming an Army with lots of labels and new rules to distinguish these differences.

When I served, the uniform of the day was one of the first lessons we learned that reminded us that we were no longer Joe cool living in the 'hood. We all wore the same uniform and the same haircuts. We were individual men that would soon be molded into a team--a team we knew we could count on. The uniform of the day appears to have its variations these days.

This change in philosophy has already been seen as our female soldiers serving in the Middle East have been covered up to meet Islamic culture's demands. Now this Muslim political correctness in infiltrating the JROTC programs in your local high school.

The following letter was written and signed by multiple members of our military outraged about the Army's decision to allow Muslim's to wear the Hijab while in uniform. Remember, this isn't a religious issue. This is about the army destroying the very foundation of team building by taking away the idea of individuals in a platoon.

Honorable Larry Stubblefield
Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Army
1400 Defense Pentagon
Washington DC 20301-1400

December 27, 2011

Dear Secretary Stubblefield:
As Executive Director of The American Patriot Alliance, I would be remiss and derelict in my responsibilities if I were to sit idle and silently with regards to your recent decision to grant a change in Army policy in order for a young woman to wear a Hijab while in JROTC uniform. As a career Marine Corps combat veteran, I cannot recall a more potentially divisive decision ever being made against the discipline and structure of the United States Armed Forces, barring repeal of  “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell.”.
I am joined by numerous active duty/veteran organizations, as well as individuals, who demand this policy be immediately reversed and uniform requirements returned to their previous standards. It is our understanding you currently serve as Deputy Assistant Secretary for “Diversity and Leadership” for the Army, and while I appreciate your 30-some years of active service, I feel a need to remind you that the United States military is NOT a social experiment nor proving ground for cultural sensitivities, but rather a bedrock foundation of American survival and existence, one that is based on not only UNITY of individuals, but DISCIPLINE. Without either, our nation’s defenses would be reduced to a gathering of rag-tag militiamen with nothing more than selfish allegiance. We can welcome and celebrate the diversity of nationalities and cultures to the United States, but must stand with unwavering resolve on issues of discipline within our ranks.
Our country’s very survival is, as it has been in the past, contingent upon a uniformed and disciplined national defense force. We live in a Republic, NOT a democracy. The whims of one person do not, nor should they, dictate the policies and standards of the entire defense organization. That discipline is achieved and maintained by decisive, firm and consistent LEADERSHIP from the top down. Officers who fail to perform their duty by correcting small violations and in enforcing proper conduct are incapable of leading. It is absurd to believe that soldiers who cannot be made to wear the proper uniform can be induced to move forward in battle.  If you cannot get them to salute when they should or wear the clothes you tell them to wear, how are you going to get them to die for their country? I am reminded of the Army’s most recent deplorable “request” that female members of the U.S. military stationed in the Middle East wear Hijabs while in the communities to show respect and again, “sensitivities” to the local customs. Whilst I understand it was not “mandatory,” I am well-enough versed in military-command coercion that turns a “request” into a “command.”
One of the more unsettling aspects of your decision is its false and erroneously conceived basis that the Hijab is a core requirement within the Muslim community. There is NO doctrinal basis in the Quar’an for the adornment of either a Hijab, burka or turban. NONE! It is a mere cultural issue that in all honesty represents the degradation of women in Islam. Plain and simple. Will this now lead to the inevitable shift in policies that allow Muslims to stop all training and combat operations in theater to pray five times a day? Must we now stop serving pork-related products in chow halls because it might be OFFENSIVE to Muslims? This is setting an unprecedented shift in policy in order to accommodate a segment of society that represents less than .001% of military members. But let me move to the CORE issue involved in this situation. What is most disturbing is to once again find the names associated with and involved in this subversive effort to usurp Army rules and regulations; ones that have been linked on numerous occasions with terrorist organizations such as HAMAS and Hezbollah, and designated ‘unindicted co-conspirators’ in the Holy Land Foundation trial~ the largest terror trial in U.S history. And those names being The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) and The Muslim Brotherhood.
CAIR has been involved in the slow, ever-creeping attempts to dismantle nearly every tenet of American society through Culture, Legal, Financial and Constitutional Jihad. Their end result is the complete overthrow of the American system of government in exchange for the establishment of Shari’ah Law and an Islamic Caliphate. In the view of CAIR, there can be NO assimilation of Islam or Shari’ah Law into American society or system of government. One only need to review recent history with regards to Major Nidal Hasan and PFC Nasser Abdo and his quest for “conscientious objector” status, to see a coordinated attack on institutions and foundations through intimidation, threats and legal challenge. Of these I know well, as I and my organization have been threatened with lawsuit on numerous occasions by CAIR for exposing the truth of their long-term agenda. I would suggest strongly Mr. Stubblefield you review the FBI’s most damning piece of evidence in the Holy Land Foundation trial to see the strategic objectives outlined in The Explanatory Memorandum  On The General Strategic Goal Of  The Group In North America. There is NO intended assimilation on their part into American society, culture or Constitutional structure and this most recent event is just another in a long series of actions on behalf of CAIR and The Muslim Brotherhood to disrupt and disassemble the laws by which we live. And as members of a national defense sworn to protect and defend this Nation against ALL enemies, foreign and domestic, we will not sit by and see this course of action unchallenged.
We respectfully ask that the Army REVERSE its decision and return to a foundation of decisive leadership and direction without delay. The message being sent by your decision is one that will severely distract from the core mission of our armed forces in terms of unity and cohesiveness, but more importantly, one that undermines the integrity and sacrifice of those of us who have served our military with honor and those who gave the ultimate sacrifice in her defense. I trust you will make the right decision in reviewing this case. Political Correctness wins NO wars, nor does it garner respect amongst those involved. We stand on the side of right, and we do not back down.
Sincerely,

GOP Establishment Commits Fraud for Mitt Romney Nomination?: Is the Fix for Romney In?

An interesting piece at Gateway Pundit asks  if the fix is in for Mitt Romney. GP points to the dismissal of voter signatures in Virginia that has kept may of the top tier candidates off the ballot. Of course, we know last week how the GOP establishment began tearing apart Ron Paul as he became the front runner with a story of little substance claiming Paul was a racist--something most blacks don't even believe about Paul and the GOP and Fox News has produced no evidence of.

GP writes:

Following Governor Chris Christie’s announcement in early October that he would not be running for president, top GOP official and bundler, Georgette Mosbacher told reporters,“We do not consider Perry a factor… We know who will be our nominee.”
Georgette was talking about Mitt “McRomneycare” Romney, of course.

Maybe Georgette wasn’t kidding. The Virginia GOP effectively eliminated 4 of the top 6 candidates, including Newt Gingrich and Rick Perry, from qualifying for the Republican primary in March this past weekend. Only Mitt Romney and Ron Paul will be on the Virginia GOP primary ballot.

Charles C. Johnson at Big Government today discussed how difficult it was for candidates to qualify for the primary in Virginia.
Candidates are required not only to collect over 10,000 signatures to get on the ballot but have to have at least 400 from each of the state’s eleven congressional districts. Both Perry and Gingrich cleared the first hurdle by at least a thousand signatures, but it appears they may have stumbled on clearing the second. We don’t know this for certain — the Va. GOP hasn’t explained why Gingrich and Perry failed to qualify– but this seems likely.
Gathering enough signatures from enough of the different districts proved too tricky. In at least one district that’s a tall order. Virginia’s 3rd and 8th congressional district, for example, are among the most Democratic in the country, with a PVI score of D+20 and D+16, respectively. Woody Allen may be right when he said 90% of success is just showing up, but it is hard to show up when there is effectively no Republican party in some congressional districts.
Worse yet, Virginia’s House of Delegates complicated matters further when voters may not know which congressional district they live in thanks to an ongoing state-wide fight over redistricting. Virginia Republicans submitted a map in April 2011, but Virginia Democrats seemed insistent on pushing the matter to January 2012 and then to federal court if they don’t enough black–and therefore Democratic–congressional districts. They would sue the state under the Voting Rights Act of 1965 and toss the matter of redistricting over to the federal courts.
It’s the prerogative of any state party to set up the rules that govern its primary but it sure seems short-sighted to disqualify two candidates that fulfilled the 10,000 signatures requirement, especially given how much Virginia GOP could benefit from a renewed focus and all that earned media attention on the Old Dominion.
If the Republican Party wanted to rig the system for Mitt Romney then you might expect to see something like this pop up.
But the Republican Party elites would never do anything like that… Right?

TSA Thugs Now Confiscating Cupcakes at the Airport

This is what dangerous looks like in the
eyes of federal thugs.
The federal thugs known as the TSA are now confiscating cupcakes. No doubt, this TSA agent was hungry on duty and ready for his break.

Rebecca Hains said the Transportation Security Administration agent at McCarran International Airport took her cupcake Wednesday, telling her its frosting was enough like a gel to violate TSA restrictions on allowing liquids and gels onto flights to prevent them from being used as explosives.

“I just thought this was terrible logic,’’ Hains said Friday.

Wanna bet the TSA agent ate it? Are we a free people when we can't even carry a cupcake on an airplane?

Oh, but it's for our security. We have to be safe or the terrorists will get us.
