Ron Paul Moves to Third in Iowa Caucus Poll Cain Overtakes Mitt for Brains Romney

A new Rasmussen Reports telephone survey of Likely Iowa caucus-goers shows that Cain is in front with 28% followed by former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney at 21%. Congressman Ron Paul is a distant third at 10% followed by former House Speaker Newt Gingrich at 9%, Congresswoman Michelle Bachmann at 8%, and Texas Governor Rick Perry at 7%. The sixth place finish for Perry is a sharp decline from early September when Perry was the frontrunner both nationally and in Iowa. (To see survey question wording, click here).

Former Senator Rick Santorum picks up 4% of the vote and former Governor Jon Huntsman is at 2%. Another 4% would prefer some other candidate and 8% are not sure.

Only one-third of the caucus-goers (32%) are certain of their vote and don’t expect to change their mind. Among these voters, 30% prefer Cain, 22% Romney, and 17% Paul.

  1. If almost...50%...of "Conservatives" are REALLY going to rush out to support Cain/Romney...My Family and I are in the WRONG PARTY.

    Mr. Cain is a...SCAM...hes so "honest" that he SELLS HIMSELF as an "outsider pizza guy" when in REALITY he was...THE CHAIR..of the BIGGEST BANK ON THE PLANET. His 999 plan is another..SCAM...first of all its not really 999 its 999 + a 17% PayRoll Tax INCREASE on Working Peoples PayChecks..GO LOOK IT UP if you question this FACT. The Guy is "both Pro-Life and Pro-Choice...Thats how "Conservative" he is. (lol!)

    ...Im not even going to bother to debate Flip Romney the Former DEMOCRAT Senator from Mass whos own BIG GOVERNMENT HEALTHCARE LAW...Give FREE HEALTHCARE to...ILLEGAL ALIENS...and...FORCES AMERICANS to Pay FULL PRICE !

    Cain and Romney are a JOKE..and NEITHER would have even been Considered just 15 years ago..that how far this Nation has fallen.

    Ron Paul is the ONLY...HONEST...Man in the Pack...His tax Plan is 0-0-0...and if the CONTOLED BIG MEDIA Gave this man...HALF...of the "coverage" that they have given...Rick "Im so "Conservative" that I want to give YOUR MONEY to ILLEGAL ALIENS Perry"....he would be WALKING AWAY WITH THIS THING!!

    One thing i will say is that Without Ron Paul...The GOP WILL NOT WIN...Not only is he the ONLYONE in the GOP who can pull is large Numbers of INDY and DEM Voters...but EDUCATED people are simply not going to support the likes of Flip Romney and Herman "Federal Reserve Banker...pretending...to be a Pizza dude" Cain.

    No Ron Paul...No Votes from this house..and Herman can take that one to the BANK !
