Obama Working "Under the Radar" to Kill the Second Amendment

Obama's meeting with Sarah Brady produced a quote that someone went unnoticed. According to sources, Obama pleased Sarah Brady, wife of Jim Brady and gun control advocate, that he was working hard to push gun control legislation. How Obama is pushing for more gun control should awaken all Americans who realize the importance of the Second Amendment goes far beyond hunting and target shooting.

A well regulated militia being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the People to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed.

So what did Obama tell Sarah Brady?

During a March 30 meeting between Jim and Sarah Brady and White House Press Secretary Jay Carney, at which Obama “dropped in,” the president reportedly told Brady, “I just want you to know that we are working on it (gun control)….We have to go through a few processes, but under the radar.”

The quote appeared in an April 11 Washington Post story about Obama’s gun control czar Steve Croley.

Of course, most of us gun owners are perfectly aware that Obama is using Mexican violence centered around drug trafficking as justification for his push for more gun control. Obama blames the United States for weapons entering Mexico that increase the violence. There is just one problem. The Obama administration is ensuring these weapons are successfully making it to Mexico. Is this what he means by "under the radar?"

I have warned you. Obama and gun grabbing Democrats are going to use the gun violence in Mexico to place further restrictions on firearms ownership in the United States. They are going to push the blame on small businesses that operate gun stores that operated around the border, but it appears that it may be Obama and the federal government that are really pushing the guns into Mexico to escalate the crisis.

In Project Gunrunner, ATF allowed American guns – including AK-47 assault rifles and military-grade, .50 caliber sniper rifles – to be smuggled into Mexico and sold to drug cartels, with the goal of tracking the weapons after they’ve been used.

The project began during the Bush administration in Laredo, Texas, in 2005 as a trial, morphing into a national program in 2006. The guns were sold and tracked electronically, giving law enforcement agents valuable intelligence on where the weapons went and who had them.

During the Bush years, no guns were allowed to cross the border into Mexico. When President Obama took office in 2009, things changed. Obama’s ATF continued Project Gunrunner, but made a crucial decision to allow guns to be “walked” into Mexico, eventually ending up in the hands of Mexican drug cartels.

The results, in at least one instance, were tragic. Two AK-47s ATF officials were tracking were found at the scene of U.S. border agent Brian Terry’s murder.


So it's the federal government allowing firearms, firearms like an AK47 that can't be purchased at Mom and Pop gun stores, to cross the border, all the while the Obama administration and gun grabbers are blaming the little guy. It's shameful!
