The Ultimate Question to Answer Over the Gulf of Mexico Oil Rig Explosion
Why am I pointing this out and asking the question, because during the 2008 presidential campaign, Obama and the Democrats made the case if we started drilling now it would take at least a decade before consumers saw any benefits from American oil production. So if that's true, then I would think one oil rig exploding in the Gulf of Mexico would do little to drive up costs as well. Right?
Federal Judge Victoria A. Roberts Questions Why Hutaree Members Were Arrested and the Evidence Presented in Court
(If the video doesn't work, visit http://www.redlasso.com/ClipPlayer.aspx?id=e1766349-37d9-476f-b890-fc9d4a8bf39f to hear Mike Huckabee.)
Let's look at what was written about me:
Bungalow Bill, a blogger/conspiracy theorist who routinely writes nice things about Gary Nodler (one of the worst Congressional candidates in the history of the United States), has been acting confused about why this blog would question his judgment, his sympathies with violent militia groups who plot to kill police officers, or his open admiration for conspiracy theorists who believe that George W Bush launched the 9/11 attacks on this country.
The Defeat Nodler blogger is referring to a post that Alex Jones posted on his site last month. The following is that blog:
Precrimes, Hutaree, and Free Political Speech: Questioning the Federal Government's Decision to Raid Hutaree in Michigan
Eight of the nine members of Hutaree pled not guilty to charges brought against them by the federal government. As the story developed this week, we now know that an FBI agent infiltrated the compound and set up the raid from within.
In federal court today, they played a recording the FBI agent made during exercises with the scary guys in camouflage who shot guns on their own private property. Here is the transcript from court and that hearing:
"How much longer are you going to put up with a foreign army controlling your streets and highways?" David Brine Stone was heard saying.
"Now's the time to strike and take our nation back."
William Swor, Stone’s attorney, argued he was exercising his constitutional right to free speech. I have to agree. If this is the evidence they have, there are many of us in trouble for claiming the need to take our nation back.
"What we heard today is that Mr. Stone talks a lot, that Mr. Stone is angry," Swor said in court. "There's nothing that says he was looking to make war on the United States."
If this is the evidence the federal government used to move in on these scary guys in camouflage who shot guns on their own private property, the rest of us freedom of speech loving people who are worried about the current direction of our country could be in a lot of trouble.
I am not sure I see a crime in these words, and this isn’t Minority Report where you can be found guilty of pre-crimes either.
The FBI agent who infiltrated the group of scary camouflage guys who shot guns on their own private property noted Thomas Piatek had over 50 firearms in his possession and thousands of rounds of ammunition. Excuse me, but this doesn’t make someone guilty, in case the FBI agent forgot about the Second Amendment, which places no limits on the amount of arms and American can bear.
The eight men and one woman with seditious conspiracy, attempted use of weapons of mass destruction, and possessing a firearm during a crime of violence. If this group of Americans had “weapons of mass destruction” then why should we doubt Saddam Hussein had WMDs too? What are the weapons of mass destruction? Where did they find them? I want proof as well, especially since this Justice Department is run by many of the same Democrats who mocked George W. Bush’s claim.
The more I look at this raid, the more I fear for our own rights, as it seems the federal government is now looking to incriminate anyone who says, “we need to take our country back” and owns some bullets and firearms, which pretty much describes your average tea party the Democrats and the mainstream have gone out of their demonize in recent weeks.
Sympathetic of Hutaree or worried about the Constitution? I think it's clear the latter is clearly the case. None the less, it's important to note want took place in a Michigan Courtroom. The Detroit News writes:
A federal judge on Wednesday expressed strong reservations about the weight of the evidence against nine militia members accused of plotting to wage war against the United States.
But a federal prosecutor said the government can’t always wait until a plot is carried out to charge those involved and asked the judge to consider how much better things would be if federal agents had been able to arrest Timothy McVeigh before he blew up the federal building in Oklahoma City, killing 168 people.
U.S. District Judge Victoria A. Roberts repeatedly pressed prosecutors about what evidence they are pointing to in support of the seditious conspiracy charge that all nine Hutaree militia defendants are facing.
…
The Hutaree members also face charges of attempted use of a weapon of mass destruction. But defense lawyers have noted no bombs were among the large amounts of weapons and ammunition seized from defendants and said the only explosives set off at Hutaree training exercises were supplied and detonated by an undercover FBI agent who infiltrated the group.
“My client has said nothing worse than you can hear on television or radio or any one of a billion Internet screeds on any given day,” argued William Swor, a Detroit attorney representing lead defendant, David Stone Sr.
By the way if Gary Nodler is one of the worst Congressional candidates in history, does that make Billy Long, who can't answer debate questions without his aids and his iPhone, the worst?
Polls Must Show Republican Billy Long's Gambling Problems Hurts His Chances of Winning Primary: False Casino Attacks Begin on Jack Goodman
Since the poll was taken, there have been an attempt to tie other Republican candidates to Casino gambling. My guess is Long discovered playing in the World Poker Tour and laying down more than $35,000 to play in three games at the Beau Rivage and Bellagio pushed him further down in the polls.
Over at the Defeat Nodler site, which isn’t known as a trusted source of information in the Seventh District race, they have decided to attack Jack Goodman on gambling. I am just going to come out and ask the obvious. Why is Defeat Nodler, a site with an anonymous owner, with the sole purpose of attacking Gary Nodler attacking Jack Goodman? Can we conclude someone from the Billy Long campaign set up the site shortly after Long announced his candidacy?
Defeat Nodler writes:
We know of one story he was definitely told to ignore: Just recently Jack Goodman offered an amendment that would create an obstacle to any new casino licenses in Missouri. It sounds vanilla, but wait until you find out how he did it…
First, his ‘explanation’:
Last week, I also amended a bill to include a provision that would help limit the expansion of gambling in Missouri. Essentially, my amendment to HB 1893 would make it more difficult for the Missouri Gaming Commission to quickly issue a license for a new gambling boat in our state. Prior to any new gaming license being considered, the commission would be required to conduct a comprehensive study to determine the economic and financial impact of issuing an additional gaming license. The commission should consider these findings before determining whether an additional license should be issued.
Now, how he did it:
The amendment would require the Gaming Commission to perform studies that would evaluate the “financial impact of an additional gaming license and facility on existing licensees as well as the impact anticipated adjourning state gaming facilities”.
The amendment isn’t there to stop casinos: it’s there to protect their profits. Guess who came up with it? It’s the brain-child of none other than Troy Stremming, President of Ameristar Casinos. We could say that the amendment must have has nothing to do with the nearly $3,000 that Jack Goodman has received from Gambling interests in the past, including $2,000 from Ameristar itself, but who would we be kidding?
I will ask it again. Why is a site set up to defeat Gary Nodler paying so much attention to Jack Goodman, after all the site isn’t called Defeat Goodman. Furthermore, why are they pushing the casino issue upon Goodman without telling you the whole story.
If you go to the Missouri Ethics Commission Web site and look at Goodman’s campaign records, you do see Goodman did receive money from gambling interests. When you look at all of Goodman’s filing for that period, you will see Goodman returned all contributions given to him by the gaming commission.
Obviously, the Defeat Nodler campaign is in the bag for Billy Long. They know the gambling issue hurts Billy Long’s chances of winning this race and gives Nodler a better chance at winning. Therefore they are looking to attach the gambling issue to as many candidates as possible to take the stigma off of Billy Long. The problem is, no one else in this election plays high-stakes poker and is seen constantly seen at the Downstream Casino. Billy Long is the only candidate with a gambling problem, and they are a desperate campaign these days.

It Would be an Honor to Work for Jack Goodman, Republican for Congress
There have been accusations during this election cycle in Missouri’s Seventh Congressional district that have tried to tie me to a Republican candidate running for Congress. To be honest, I laugh every time I see them. I am a political outsider whose only political connection was friendship with Matt Blunt through Junior High School in Strafford, Missouri.
Normally, I wouldn’t have involved myself in the primary, but 2010 is not your typical election year. There is far too much at stake to trust a seat in Congress to someone unprepared to fight for Southwest Missouri values.
After the Pizza by Stout instance, which Billy Long tried to bribe me to take down the Long is Wrong site, there were accusations I was working for Michael Wardell, since Wardell followed through filing an ethics complaint against Long. That rumor died after I addressed it with Vincent David Jericho on his radio show.
Now a Web site designed to hurt Gary Nodler, which has an anonymous owner who won’t let you leave comments, has attacked me for looking into Billy Long’s character issues and exposing his weaknesses on issues that matter to voters. Not only has it gone as far as attacking me on two occasions, the Web site has also began attacking Jack Goodman. I believe the Billy Long campaign is showing its hand, which is surprising considering Billy Long is a World Poker Tour professional laying down $10,000 to $15,000 to enter a game.
The Web site accuses me of working for Jack Goodman. I am not working for Jack Goodman, but I wish I was. It would be a great honor to work for Goodman. He is one of the candidates in this race I admire. He represents the common values of Southwest Missouri, his strong family values and moral principles show in the legislation he sponsors, and he is someone I trust.
There are other candidates in the seventh district race that I also admire for various reasons. It would be an honor to work in Jeff Wisdom, Michael Wardell, Mike Moon, or Gary Nodler’s campaign as well. All four of these men bring an exceptional record of leadership to the race. I have gotten to know all four of these men, and there are qualities I like in all of them. Needless to say, Billy Long is not a candidate I admire, but I do know I probably have received money from his campaign indirectly through Google ads. So there’s your disclosure.
So, if you have a paid position, and could use someone who is strong in desktop publishing, communication, marketing, Web design, social media, search engine optimization, and other electronic skills needed for today’s modern campaigns, I am available for hire. By the way, I have a strong understanding of the issues facing our country as well.
Federal Government Manages to Tie Halliburton to Gulf Oil Rig Fire
It should be no surprise that Halliburton is now in the hot seat for the oil rig fire in the Gulf of Mexico. Apparently, Halliburton is responsible for the safety shut off valve they believe malfunctioned during the cement process during drilling. Why am I not surprised Halliburton’s name has come up in this, but it still doesn’t explain Obama’s ordering of swat teams to investigate the wells. There’s something more here than meets the eyes, and whatever it is, it’s apparent Halliburton will take blame. I by no means believe this is no accident.
Why did Obama take eight days to take action? Would it be to ensure the evidence was destroyed? Games of golf, racial rhetoric, and attacking Arizona’s immigration laws were all more important than the spillage in the gulf. Now, suddenly Halliburton’s name is brought up in all of this. There is always a greater evil to masks the evil of the federal government.
OBD III Big Brother For Your Car: Henry Waxman Introduces Car Black Box Legislation
I mentioned earlier this week, OBD III is alive and well in Washington, DC. ODB refers to the onboard diagnostic computers in your car that throws the check engine light when your car’s clean air system malfunctions. ODB III takes it a step further and connects your car to a database using satellite and cellular technology. In other words, if the government gets their hands on your car’s information, they will have more control over your driving habits.
This could be one of the reasons the Cash for Clunkers program was introduced last year. It gave the government a test run to see how to go about getting people out of older cars and into newer cars with ‘new technologies.’ With OBD III (black box for your car), it’s obvious if the government wants to tax you by the miles you drive, they will have to do it using computers within your car that reports to the government.
Using Toyota as their pathos, Representative Henry Waxman with Senator John D. Rockefeller introduced federal legislation that forces manufacturers to place this technology in your car. They cite the safety benefits of the system, but I assure you, this system will give the federal government access to discover your driving habits and tax you accordingly. For months, we have been hearing how revenues are down because cars are getting more miles to the gallon, and this plan fixes the lack of taxes collected due to higher CAFE standards.
Both Waxman and Rockefeller claim the black boxes will force manufacturers to make safer cars. I simply ask them how can you have safer cars when federal CAFE standards force cars to be lighter and lighter providing less protection for drivers and passengers? Congress doesn’t care about safer cars. If they did, they would realize you can’t compromise safety for increase mileage, which is exactly what Obama’s new standards do.
This is about big brother in your car. Once again we see how the federal government uses safety and security to rob Americans of their freedoms. You should always beware when a politician starts promising safety and security.
Stacking Taxes by Rabbi DF Eukel: Socialism is Coming to the United States and Missouri
"Socialism is coming!"
The radio-television personality, Glenn Beck, makes that statement. Beck offers that fusion conclusion of entertainment and information after the audio replay of ACORN's CEO Bertha Lewis saying, “If you are young, Democratic and a socialist, you are okay with me."
Socialism is coupled with taxation. If you understand that taxes take wealth from you and re-distribute what you have earned through work, savings and investments to others who did not, then you understand the coupling.
The citizens of Missouri believe that a degree of taxation is necessary and have empowered our part-time legislature, through the Missouri Constitution, to grant Missouri municipalities the ability to tax their citizens. These taxes include a local use tax, a general operating levy, a health, solid waste and museum levy, and a municipal utility gross receipts tax to name just four of the 19 categories.
Is this ability to tax meant to be limited? This is something every tax-paying Missouri citizen should ask. Answers differ, and the various arguments expose perspectives on taxation and the size and scope of government.
According to the Missouri Constitution, the limitation on local tax rates is “one dollar on the hundred dollars assessed valuation.” Apparently, municipalities in conjunction with the state Department of Revenue, take the view that tax greed is good! They maintain that as long as no single general revenue sales tax exceeds the one percent limitation, then multiples of taxes (tax-stacking) are acceptable, even if the cumulative total exceeds or is equal to one-percent.
The limitations encoded in our statutes are 1/2 of one-percent, 7/8 of one-percent or one-percent "if a majority of voters approve.” Pick one, and only one, is the clear, strict intent. Most Missourians would pick the smallest rate. After all, it is our wealth and wages, not the city or state governments.
The Farmington attorney, Tom Burcham, was not a citizens' hero when he sued several small cities for “tax stacking.” Burcham excluded his own city, for which he served as the city attorney. However, he exposed the advocates for more and larger government. These advocates are elected or hired by municipalites who intend an unlimited, multiple and enlarging tax-take. These advocates of bigger and better local government--dare we call them socialists--ignore the singular adjective “a” before the words “sales tax” in the authorizing Missouri statutes for a political subdivision. In the Circuit Court of Barry County, Judge Wiley stated, “A common sense reading of the statute is that the City may impose a sales tax of one-half, seven-eights, or one percent, and not a sales tax of two, three or four percent, or higher." [Penberthy v. City of Purdy.]
The City of Mount Vernon's administrator, John Rice, on advice of counsel, encouraged the eight alderman and mayor to replace a second half-cent capital improvement sales tax and convince a majority of citizens to adopt, instead, a half-cent transportation tax. That "revenue-netural category transfer" allowed the pending action of Burcham against the city to stand down. It cost the citizens $4,000 in ballot expenses. Mount Vernon citizens now pay both a half cent capital improvements tax and a half cent transportation tax.
The sources used to justify additional tax-takes beyond the common-sense reading of the statutes are interesting. A June 14, 1999 letter from a Technical Support Section clerk of the Missouri Department of Revenue's Tax Administration Bureau addressed to the St Joseph International Association of Fire Fighters includes this line: "There is no limit to the number of taxes that may be imposed under both section 94.500 and 94.577.” The clerk who wrote that letter, Sharon Wilson, cannot be found.
Even if she existed, if cities were eager to take more “no limit” taxes from their citizens, would getting permission from the state tax collection agency be that surprising? It appears the fox is guarding the hen house.
Missouri State Representative Tom Jones (Eureka) has filed HB 1442 to “clear up” the practice of Missouri municipalities' multiple taxes. However, State Senator Gary Nodler (Joplin) offered an amendment that seems to cloud the issue. It appears to protect the practice of tax stacking.
Whatever the proclivities of state taxing agents and their supporters in the legislature, the people of Missouri ought to speak up. Let me say it clear and loud, "Read my lips, no new taxes!”

Obama Stops All New Off-Shore Drilling: America's Dependence on Foreign Oil Continues after Mysterious Oil Rig Fire
Despite a White House memo suggesting Obama’s commitment to drilling for oil to lessen foreign dependence, Obama has not put a halt to all new drilling. After the mysterious oil rig fire, which now has federal swat teams rushing to the sites of all oil rigs in the Gulf of Mexico.
The stoppage is indefinite until an adequate review of the oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico is complete. Even then there is no reason to believe Obama will reverse his decision. This may be his way out of pressure to produce American oil.
"All he has said is that he is not going to continue the moratorium on drilling but ... no additional drilling has been authorized and none will until we find out what happened here and whether there was something unique and preventable here," Davis Axelrod said on the Today show this morning.
Suddenly the explosion in the Gulf seems even more convenient for liberal environmental Democrats.
Eminem Takes a Swipe At Pittsburgh Steeler Ben Roethlisberger in New Rap
The likelihood of life returning to normal for Ben Roethlisberger anytime soon aren’t very likely. Controversial rap star Eminem takes a swipe at Roethlisberger in his latest song. As you know the Pittsburgh Steeler quarterback was accused of sexual assault earlier this year.
`”I'd rather turn this club into a bar room brawl. Get as rowdy as Roethlisberger in a bathroom stall.”
Eminem’s new release, called Recovery, although the Roethlisberger rap will not be included. It’s a bonus on the Eminem Web site.
$9 a Gallon Gasoline in the United States?: You Betcha in McGrath, Alaska
Residents of McGrath, Alaska, recently dealt with what may be highest amount ever paid at the gas pump for gasoline. Gasoline hit $9.22 a gallon recently when barges couldn’t get through on the rivers due to their low levels. It resulted in Crowley Maritime, the supplier of gasoline for the small Alaskan town, to raise prices by more than $3 a gallon overnight.
Crowley claims the price increase was due to the fact they had to fly gasoline into the little town. However, the mayor said they discovered while flying increased the cost to shop the gas to McGrath, the $3 price increase was not justified. The mayor arranged for gasoline to be flown in from Fairbanks, which was a farther distance than where Crowley was bringing it in from. The cost was $5.82 a gallon for the mayor.
Of course, Alaska residents should take note. If Obama’s cap and trade bill passes the Senate, the lower 48 will experience similar gas prices, which means the cost of gasoline in Alaska could head up to $9 or more a gallon, and there won’t be anything you can do about it.
What do Vitamins Have to do With Wall Street Reform?: Henry Waxman Puts Vitamin Regulation Amendment in Wall Street Bill
We already know the federal government wants more power over the nation’s food supply as well as your little garden. HR 875, the Food Safety Act pushes government power further into the our nation’s farms. When it comes to nutrition and the freedom to make choices for homeopathic treatment, the government now wants more say in what vitamins and supplements you put in your body. They are doing it secretly—not in the Food Safety Act, but in the Wall Street Reform bill.
Congressman Henry Waxman snuck an amendment into the House Version of the financial reform act that gives government more power over vitamins and supplements. Why would he use the Wall Street rhetoric to sneak the amendment into the bill?
As the government takes more power over our medical decisions, they look at the homeopathic medicine industry as one of their next targets. It’s no surprise to many people who understand nutrition know food today is being robbed of vital nutrients. As well, companies like Monsanto continue to experiment with genetically altered foods that produce their own insecticides that people are digesting, and the government seems to have little concern over the long-term effects on your health with these foods. As well, the government continues to put chemicals in food and water many fear are leading to other health issues. The nation’s vitamin and supplement industry offers alternatives to replace nutrition robbed from the great food experiment taking place in the nation’s Capital. With a growing concern over the health of food and water, the government now wants to get its greedy hands on another aspect of nutrition.
Waxman’s amendment gives the Federal Trade Commission more power over the vitamin and supplement industry. The FTC has long targeted the supplement business, but Waxman’s amendment may give them enough power to put many vitamin and supplement companies out of business by forcing them into the same red tape that drives up the costs of pharmaceutical production. Of course the difference is, the pharmaceutical companies produce chemicals that actually have long-effects on the body including death as noted in any Physician Desk Reference, and vitamins and supplements are made from natural ingredients that offer alternatives to pharmaceutical concoctions.
The FTC often attacks the claims of vitamin and supplement makers telling manufacturers they cannot make many of the claims they do. For instance, there are natural alternatives that balance a child’s brain chemistry through nutrition that don’t have the harsh effects on a child’s personality like Ritalin, Concerta, and Prozac. It’s controversial to even suggest something natural may have benefits and can be used as an alternative over these dangerous drugs they continue to push on children. I have plenty of friends who study nutrition, that understand the dangers of these drugs and realize many of the medical conditions we suffer from are simply from the lack of nutrition. Of course, it’s easier for the government to drug the population with mind altering drugs like Ritalin rather than offer real nutritional responsibility. Of course, they will attack McDonald’s Happy Meals while they carry out this deceit that continues to add children to the list of users of these mind altering drugs to give the illusion they care, all the while they let Monsanto genetically alter foods infusing seeds with insecticides.
Waxman’s amendment allows the Federal Trade Commission to write its own laws. Obama granted this similar power to the EPA, so the EPA can regulate carbon dioxide. This obviously would further the FTC’s war on homeopathic natural treatments and force more people to dangerous drugs. Read the PDA sometime if you don’t believe the drugs your doctors prescribe are not dangerous.
Illinois Senator Obama Was Once an "Arizona Fascist": Once Cool With Asking for Papers of Illegal Aliens
What happened to the Obama who once appeared tough on illegal immigration? Obama used to be ok with demanding the papers to enforce illegal aliens. Oh, that's right, he became an very unpopular president very quickly and he is looking for something that will provide him the votes he needs to win in 2012, and obviously turning the cheek on immigration is one of those rhetorical tools used to gain the votes of Latinos in America. WHAT A FAKE OBAMA IS!
"We live in a country of laws. We don't do things sort of based on one person's situation no matter how painful."
Pizza by Stout in Joplin and Bloggergate: Billy Long (for Congress) is a Small Little Man Despite His Big Ego

I remember it well. Republican Congressional Candidate Billy Long rushing out of the Joplin Federated Republican Women's meeting over to me and asking if we could talk. At that time, the Long is Wrong Web site was still new, and it really didn't pose much of a threat to Long at that point. I agreed, and we found a table as you turned the corner left in the dining room.
Long was baffled that someone didn't like him. His whole life he was told he was good and people liked him, and suddenly there was a blogger listing reasons why you shouldn't vote for Billy Long. He spoke of his friendships that went back to elementary schools as solid, and he tried to make the case we got off on the wrong foot. Billy Long said he was a common guy who didn't party and was usually at home with the wife at night. Of course, Long was hopeful I wouldn't discover what I know now, and I haven't even shared with you all of it yet.
This week, they use an article I wrote on the Missouri gaming industry that centers around an amendment Jack Goodman introduced in the Missouri Senate that would slow the growth of the casino industry in Missouri. Randy Turner of the Turner Report wrote the story, and I took the parts from the story that appeared to be written by the Goodman campaign. See for yourself Jeff Rowe and James Harris.
Jeff Roe has been caught at this game before and wound up in a libel case not too long ago. He knows a thing or two about this works, but really isn't that good at it. Of course, Billy Long hired bottom feeders to run his campaign. The funny thing is, they are a power hungry career politician producing machine, the same scum Billy Long says he opposes.
Obviously, the sophomoric attempt to create a Web site to bring down Gary Nodler's campaign for Congress has been ineffective, but it also appears based on the sudden change of rhetoric and the continued focus on Bungalow Bill, the site could very well be written by Billy Long and his operatives. Obviously, since the site clearly states untrue connections, a court case would deliver the owner of the Web site and Billy Long could be embarrassed once again in this campaign. It wouldn't surprise me at this point. Once again, we may be seeing how Billy Long plays the game, and if that's the case, there is only one way to describe it--DIRTY.
Obama's Second Katrina: Failed at Haiti and Failing at Louisiana Coast
The first instance of this was the Haitian earthquake. Obama set out to prove he was the man who could lead in these times, but we all know how corpses were used as road blocks and how food deliver caused near riots. The press quickly left Haiti and never commented on whether Obama passed the test. Things were not good in Haiti when they stopped reporting, which is funny because Obama set off to show Bush up.
Now you have to wonder why the environmental wacko crowd hasn't thrown Obama under the bus. It took him eight days to take action after the BP oil rig in the Gulf of Mexico went up in flames, and it appears more and more this may not have been an accident.
The real irony behind this is it's happening in the footsteps of Hurricane Katrina. It took Obama eight days. If you remember he was too busy playing golf to care last week. Perhaps he needed the evidence of whatever happened out there on that rig to be gone before federal investigators arrived. Who really knows at this point? We do know Obama basically enjoyed a media blackout in the early days of this, and now it may be too late.
Obama's leadership once again is questionable--in fact, it's non existent. The little man who calls himself president lacks in leadership and America will pay the price again because his carelessness to take action promptly will justify the closing of more rigs despite a White House memo claiming the opposite.

Gary Nodler Corrects The Missourian on Red Light Cameras
"Absent from the vote were Sen. Kurt Schaefer, R-Columbia, Sens. Jolie Justus, D-Kansas City, and Gary Nodler, R-Joplin.* All have had red-light cameras in their districts."
I spoke with Senator Nodler about his absence and his views on red light cameras. He told me the Columbia Missourian misprinted the information and knows of no red light cameras in his district. He did express a concern over the lack of due process associated with the red light cameras, which was exposed in Springfield, Missouri over the last few weeks; although, he was unfamiliar with the case Adolf Belt Jr. Vs. City of Springfield. The Missouri Supreme Court ruled the City of Springfield violated Constitutional rights in the case.
The Columbia Missourians story seemed to suggest Nodler didn't vote on the amendment since there were red light cameras in Missouri. According to Nodler, neither is true. The Joplin city council voted down red light cameras, and he didn't miss the vote in order to protect the revenue streams of the cameras.

Obama and his Department of the Interior Swat Team Goes to Gulf of Mexico to Inspect Oil Rigs, but Why?

There was a show during the 1980s called Not Necessarily the News. In one of the segments, the comedy team did a video similar to the SNL videos called the Watt Swat Team, poking fun of Ronald Reagan's Secretary of the Interior James Watt. Back then, the Department of the Interior didn't have swat teams, but the video was funny. In today's Obama police state, we learn the Department of Interior has a swat team.
Obama said today from the White House Rose Garden he is prepared to get the Department of Defense involved in the Gulf of Mexico oil rig fire. As well he went on to to say, "I do want to speak briefly to the American people about the recent BP oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico. Earlier today DHS Secretary Napolitano announced that this incident is of national significance and the Department of Interior has announced that they will be sending SWAT teams to the Gulf to inspect all platforms and rigs and I have ordered the secretaries of interior and Homeland Security as well as administrator Lisa Jackson of the Environmental Protection Agency to visit the site on Friday to ensure that BP and the entire US government is doing everything possible not just to respond to this incident but also to determine its cause."
There you have it. The militarization of government bureaucracies continues. We already know this year the Department of the Treasury and Education ordered military grade shotguns. Now we find out the Department of the Interior apparently has its own swat team. What for?
I think Mark Levin provided some very concerning insight on his show today. He fears this is the first step in the government coming into over regulate the oil industry to begin taking control of it. It's a valid concern considering the direction of the Obama administration.
Of course, why is the Department of Defense and Homeland Security involved? Could a rouge or enemy submarine caused the explosion. Could it be terrorism? Could it be a false flag to give the government more control over the oil industry. This is why Obama is dangerous. You just don't know how far he is willing to go to philosophically change the United States to achieve more power. It appears to me one thing is clear, the police state started by earlier presidents continues to rise under Barack Obama.
White House Transcript From Obama Noting Homeland Security and Swat Teams Are Being Sent to Gulf of Mexico After Oil Fire
Was it terrorism? Was it false flag terrorism? For whatever reason, Obama suddenly announced today he is sending a ‘swat team’ to the Gulf of Mexico for an investigation and to examine other oil rigs. Here’s the official Obama quote from the Rose Garden today:
OBAMA: I do want to speak briefly to the American people about the recent BP oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico. Earlier today DHS Secretary Napolitano announced that this incident is of national significance and the Department of Interior has announced that they will be sending SWAT teams to the Gulf to inspect all platforms and rigs and I have ordered the secretaries of interior and Homeland Security as well as administrator Lisa Jackson of the Environmental Protection Agency to visit the site on Friday to ensure that BP and the entire US government is doing everything possible not just to respond to this incident but also to determine its cause.
So what is it about this incident that is of national significance that requires Big Sis? What’s going on down there in the Gulf of Mexico? Was this terrorism? I told a close friend early on that something seemed funny about the sudden explosion of the oil rig. So who is behind it if it is indeed terrorism? Could it be the United States government to justify shutting down all drilling? Or is it an environmental terrorist group? Perhaps, Al Qaeda managed to get to the rig? Maybe they had workers or access to the rigs that were unknown to BP. Whatever it is, I doubt the American people ever hear the truth as to why the Department of Homeland Security is now involved the oil rig explosion.
I will go on a limb and predict they will eventually shut down all drilling in the United States once everything is said and done.
Despite 2010 Oil Spill in the Gulf of Mexico, Obama Says He's Committed to Oil Despite Homeland Security Swat Investigation of Rig Fire
Today in the White House Rose Garden, Obama said he was sending a swat team of investigators to the Gulf of Mexico to look at all the oil rigs. He said the matter is of national importance, as he opens the possibility of a terrorism connection to the oil rig fire instructing Janet Napolitano and the Department of Homeland Security to investigate the fire.
In a written memo, Obama says he is still committed to opening up oil exploration as he announced in a plan last month. The memo reads:
The administration's offshore oil and gas plan proposes a thoughtful, scientifically grounded process for determining which new areas on the outer continental shelf are appropriate for exploration and development, and for assessing the potential risks and benefits of development in areas that are being explored," the White House said in a statement.
The timing of the memo is interesting, since Obama raised the possibility of terrorism today when he announced the Department of Homeland Security will conduct an investigation. For more information on the terrorism possibility with the oil rig, visit: http://bungalowbillscw.blogspot.com/2010/04/obama-sends-swat-teams-to-american-off.html.
Oil Seepage is Common on the Ocean Floor: 5,000 Barrels of Oil a day Seeps on the Floor of Gulf of Mexico
Oil is a natural organic substance. It’s as much part of the earth as the water and the land. While the big story today is Obama sending swat teams to the Gulf of Mexico to inspect the rigs for terrorists activities, the other story of the day is the huge oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico because of the explosion. The media compares it to the Exxon Valdez today claiming it could be worse.
The truth is oil is a natural part of our oceans. In the Gulf of Mexico alone, over 5,000 barrels of oil a day seeps out from vents in the earth into the ocean. It’s part of the natural cycle, but few will speak of this truth today. Oil is a natural substance. It’s part of the earth, and obviously ocean life continues every year despite over two million barrels of oil escaping in the Gulf of Mexico alone—a very small body of water compared to the Oceans, which experience the same phenomenon. If the Gulf can survive two million barrels a year, just think how much seepage takes place in any of the oceans. It would probably be enough to make an environmentalist sick.
The bottom line is there is reason to be concerned with the oil spill off the coast of the Louisiana, but the oceans deal with millions and millions of gallons of oil mixing with the oceans every day naturally. It’s all part of the natural processes of the earth, and the earth will heal and probably be more productive by the time it’s cleaned up.
Arizona Diamandbacks Met With Immigration Protests At Wrigley Field Before Chicago Cubs Game
The Arizona Diamondbacks have become part of the immigration debate today. They play the Chicago cubs for a series at the Friendly Confines, but it’s not sounding too friendly as protesters at 1060 West Addison on the corner of Clark are standing out hoping to send a message back with the Arizona baseball team. Yes, that’s how ridiculous this protests that advocates breaking federal law has become.
The protesters are screaming and yelling for amnesty and opposition to Arizona’s tough new immigration laws. Many of the protestors are probably illegal considering Chicago and the suburbs have become infiltrated with illegal aliens. This should be no surprise as proof the immigration problem stretches far beyond border communities like Arizona.
The protesters were met with protesters themselves as Americans who support the Arizona law have showed up to have a say resulting in a shouting match. Yes, it looks like the game might not be too friendly for the Arizona Diamondbacks today.
Obama Sends Swat Teams to American Off Shore Oil Rigs in the Gulf of Mexico

One day before Earth Day, a Louisiana British Petroleum off shore oil rig mysteriously blew up. This of course was just weeks after Obama announced his plans to increase drilling. Now we are hearing Obama is sending a swat team to all oil rigs in the Gulf of Mexico. Was it terrorism? There could be two possibilities of terrorism.
From the White House Rose Garden, Obama said today, "I do want to speak briefly to the American people about the recent BP oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico.
Oil Rigs don’t just explode. It’s possible, but it’s not very likely. In fact, on April 2, 2010, Obama said, ""I don’t agree with the notion that we shouldn’t do anything. It turns out, by the way, that oil rigs today generally don’t cause spills. They are technologically very advanced. Even during Katrina, the spills didn’t come from the oil rigs, they came from the refineries onshore."
Could this be the act of environmental terrorists or could this be Middle Eastern terrorists who know if Americans increase drilling, their power decreases? These are two very likely possibilities. Obviously both groups don’t want Americans using their own oil. I always felt there was more to this story, as the media is building this story up to benefit the environmentalist, claiming its worse than the Exxon Valdez.
I remind you, the site of the Exxon Valdez was cleaned up and proved to be a profitable fishing area after the cleanup. This should be interesting to watch. Of course, there could be the possibility this is false-flag terrorism in order to strengthen the liberal position that drilling for oil is evil and dangerous to the environment.
In China With Its Gun Control Laws Man Resorts to Knife to Stab Children at School
There’s this crazy belief that all forms of violence would just end if there was gun control. I have heard it said the United States is the only country that has these mass acts of violence. Well neither is true.
In China, which has some of the strictest gun control laws in the world, a man attacked 28 children in a Chinese school with a knife. Xu Yuyuan busted into a kindergarten classwith a knife and began carving it up like he was Michael Myers in a slasher flick. Yuyuan first stabbed the security guard and then going after the children.
Five of the children are in critical condition. Two teachers also were injured.
When you read the article, you find out this isn’t something that just randomly happened in China. There have been many similar events in China over the past few years, and the Chinese quickly wave it off as mental illness and personal grudges. In fact, this was the second instance of an attack on a school in the same day in China.
A series of school attacks in China in recent years have mostly been blamed on people with personal grudges or suffering from mental illness, leading to calls for improved security.
China's inadequate mental health network has left millions of unstable people without the help they need. Many otherwise healthy Chinese also feel frustrated and powerless because they aren't able to adapt to the constant social upheaval and because they believe the changes favor the corrupt. That kind of anger has occasionally erupted in mass violence and in isolated attacks.
It is not known why schools are targeted.
On Wednesday, a teacher on sick leave due to mental illness broke into a primary school in Guangdong province's Leizhou city in southern China and wounded 15 students and a teacher in a knife attack. That attack came on the same day a man was executed for killing eight children last month in stabbings that shocked China.
Gun control laws don’t stop violence. The United States isn’t the only place, like some gun control advocates would lead you to believe, where schools come under attack.
John Lennon's "A Day in the Life" Handwritten Lyrics Expected to Get Half a Million at Auction
It’s definitely on my list of the top ten most powerful Beatles songs. Soon, the handwritten lyrics of “A Day in the Life” will belong to the lucky bidder in a June auction.
Sotheby's announced the auction yesterday describing the this piece of music history as, “the double-sided sheet of paper features Lennon's edits and corrections in his own hand — in black felt marker and blue ball point pen, with a few annotations in red ink.”
It’s expected to bring between $500,000 to $700,000 in the auction. Amazing if you think about it!
The lyrics stirred controversy when the Beatles released the album in 1967. The song was banned by the BBC because it twice features the line, "I'd love to turn you on," which was interpreted as supporting illegal drug use. The song was also left off copies of "Sgt. Pepper's" sold in several Asian countries for the same reason.
Police State: Riot Police Called to Protect Obama From Tea Party Protesters in Quincy, IL

Our little man of a president named Barack and his administration ordered police in riot gear in Quincy, Illinois yesterday to guard him from the tea party protest taking place during his appearance in the Mississippi River town.
Yes, these police were in Quincy to protect little Obama from these scary people.
Why does Obama continue to insult Americans and their right to free political speech? Notice how NBC describes the event? Rowdy? Please, they weren't threatening Americans with pitchforks like this woman at a protest Arizona's immigration law rally.
So Obama's police state now comes to the tea parties. It's just so sad this little man in the White House can't take any constructive criticism.
Dana Loesch writes:
Who gave the order to call in the riot police on protesters? Word is that Secret Service from inside the venue and the presidential team pressured local law enforcement, who were against the idea. Local cops were overruled, I’m told by various sources, including a few members of local press. Moore reported that she overheard Secret Service telling the riot squad to “push them back, out of sight.“
Intimidation tactic. Plain and simple. There was no violence, no arguments, just a couple hundred patriots who sang patriotic songs and wore red, white, and blue. Unbelievable.

Good Riddance Illegal Aliens From the People of Arizona: Drink Your Arizona Tea Today as Illegals Leave the State
Some illegal aliens are so offended by Arizona’s tough new immigration law, they plan to leave the state. The immigrants are complaining they can’t find work now in fear of being arrested, so they are going to move to other states. May I suggest San Francisco, California if you choose not to legally move back to Mexico.
The illegal aliens say the state will fall apart because no one will do the work they do. No, the state will fall apart because illegal aliens continue to suck off the system and place the states deeper into debt as they use a state’s resources without paying into the system because they are breaking the law.
So as the media continues to make illegal aliens out to be victims, the real victims are the people of Arizona, whose properties are vandalized and robbed. Members of Arizona families have lost family members due to violence from illegal aliens. I would imagine, as these illegal aliens cry they fear being arrested for standing out in front of Home Depot looking for work, the polls say the people of Arizona are quite content with saying good riddance. Governor Jan Brewer’s approval numbers are up, and more than 60% of the United States supports Arizona.
In fact, I am drinking an Arizona ice tea at my desk today, in honor of Governor Brewer and to piss off Travis Nichols in Chicago, who wrote in Twitter, Arizona ice tea is the drink of fascists.
Obama the Television Miniseries: Have You Had Enough Obama Yet?
Coming to a TV near you, Obama the television miniseries. ITV Studios USA are partners in the project, and are writing the script on Obama’s days on the 2008 campaign trail. The miniseries will be based from Renegade: The Making of a President.
The miniseries is set to air in 12-18 months, which puts us in the middle of the 2012 election season. Obviously, they hope to regain the rock star feeling of the 2008 Obama campaign by revisiting the 2008 campaign to create excitement for the coming 2012 campaign. This is planned pathos for Obama. Make no doubt about it!
Over 1,100 Macon County, MO Tea Party Protesters Show Up to Protest Obama's Trip to Macon, MO: Robin Carnahan Plays it Safe
Obama showed up on the campaign trail with Robin Carnahan in Macon, Missouri. While some will lead you to believe Obama ordering a cheeseburger and fries at Peggy Sue’s in Monroe City, the real story the media fails to report is how this small Missouri city along the river was overtaken by tea partiers. The Macon County Patriots organized a tea party to protest Obama’s visit to Macon. More than 1,100 tea party patriots showed up to be heard.
Obama stopped by an insurance company to share with them how they will benefit from his healthcare reform law, but most in the insurance industry know tough times are coming as the bill makes it hard for insurance companies to provide competitive coverage based on the requirements. Then Obama went to an ethanol plant for a private tour, and then went on his way.
This was the first time Robin Carnahan joined Obama in any of his recent trips to Missouri. Carnahan has conveniently scheduled to be out of the state when Obama comes, and this time was no exception. Under pressure, she had a change of plans, but considering Obama’s limited public appearance in Macon, it’s clear Carnahan played it safe as she continues to show Obama is toxic in the midterm elections.
Oklahoma Passes Law Outlawing Militia Recruitment in the State: Use Race Without Looking at Second Amendment
A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.
The Oklahoma House of Representatives passed a law last week outlawing recruitment by militias, even though our founding fathers knew there was a purpose for militias.
“Recruiting membership in an unauthorized militia or the Ku Klux Klan would be a crime if legislation approved Thursday by the House of Representatives becomes law. ‘This is making unauthorized militias illegal,’ said Representative Mike Shelton, the amendment’s author.
So now they are tying the Ku Klux Klan in with militias in order to gain support? There are legitimate purposes for militias Representative Mike Shelton. They are to protect the freedoms granted in our Constitution from an oppressive force.
Why should we be surprised that this racial reference would be tied to the concept of militia? Shelton is a black Democrat from Oklahoma City, and this is taken right out of the Democrat’s playbook. I am just amazed this is happening in Oklahoma.
This isn’t just an infringement on the Second Amendment, it’s also an infringement on the First Amendment, which allows people to peacefully assemble and the right to political free speech. Let’s face it, many militias in the United States aren’t shooting everyone up like the media would have you believe after the controversial Hutaree raid, which, if you listen to the evidence on tape the FBI presented in court, you quickly question if the threat was overblown.
Under Shelton’s bill, which still must go through the other half of the Oklahoma State House, you will have to ask for permission to form any group the state considers to be a militia. Those who don’t face prison time. Obviously, the right to peacefully assemble will be robbed of a group of Americans. The real danger in a bill like this is how far will they go. With the vile rhetoric the mainstream uses to describe the tea parties, would a tea party event need permission from the state of Oklahoma to gather? It’s a real possibility.
Shelton’s inspiration for the bill was Oklahoma city. This political opportunist used the Oklahoma federal building to write the bill. “In Oklahoma, we have seen the damage done by militia fanatics,” he said. “The Ku Klux Klan has a long history of violence and domestic terrorism.”
Representative Shelton, in Waco, Texas, we have seen the damage done by the federal government who also killed innocent children with their raid of Waco, which set off the attack in Oklahoma.
Of course, Representative Shelton’s real ignorance is Timothy McVeigh never belonged to a militia group. Even the Anti-Defamation League admits this. The ADL writes in a FAQ section on their Web site:
1. Was Timothy McVeigh connected to the militia movement?
No, he was not. He was not really connected to any particular movement. On the "hate" side, he obviously loved "The Turner Diaries" by William Pierce and read The Spotlight, the publication of the extremist and anti-Semitic Liberty Lobby. On the "anti-government" side, he attended a couple of militia meetings and half-heartedly attempted to start a militia group in Arizona, which came to nothing. He never really joined anything, either as a card-carrying member or even an explicit endorsement. This is also one reason why there was little support for McVeigh, simply because no one viewed him as one of "their own."
I wonder if Representative Shelton considers the Black Panthers a militia group?
Charlie Crist Turns to Obama Administration for Independent Senate Run in Florida
Good riddance Charlie Crist. You won’t be missed in the ranks.
Crist, who stood no chance of winning the Florida Republican primary looks to see bitter revenge. Crist made calls to Rahm “ballerina boy” Emanuel probably in hopes of making a pledge to the Obama administration for a little love. The White House would not take the call and appear to be fully behind Democrat Kendrick Meek.
Obama suffers an approval ranking under 50% in Florida, a critical state in the 2012 election. It appears Crist self-serving ways could hurt Republicans in the long run. Once Obama figures this out, his administration will return the call.
Disappointed in the Boy Scouts and Video Gaming Merit Pin

I recently got re-involved in the Boy Scouts nearly 20 years after I earned my Eagle Scout badge. I have to say I was disappointed at the changes in the Boy Scouts in those twenty years. Many of the boys were spoon fed their ranks and merit badges, mothers went on the overnight camping trips, and the message of leadership in the Scouts declined tremendously in two decades.
Boycott Arizona Ice Tea is the Shot Heard Around the Twitter World: Arizona Bran Blue Jeans are Next!

Some people are so upset over Arizona enforcing federal law, they are calling to boycott Arizona Ice Tea. Just one problem, Arizona Ice Tea is made on the other side of the continent in New York. From the New York Daily News:
Opponents of Arizona's new anti-immigrant law are calling for a boycott of the state's products - including the popular Arizona Iced Tea.
The problem: Arizona Iced Tea is actually brewed in New York.
Online, misguided tea fans vowed to switch to Lipton or Snapple.
"Dear Arizona: If you don't change your immigration policy, I will have to stop drinking your enjoyable brand of iced tea," Twittered Jody Beth in Los Angeles.
"It is the drink of fascists," wrote Travis Nichols in Chicago.
The company did not return messages asking if they planned to set the public straight.
Founded in Brooklyn in 1992, the firm was based in Queens before moving into a new $35 million headquarters in Nassau County last year.
The new state law allows cops to demand citizenship papers from anyone they think looks illegal.
The Federal Government Now Owns 51% of the Economy: They Want More to Ruin
Representative Michelle Bachmann points out an alarming trend. The free market is quickly being consumed by socialism. The federal government now owns 51% of the economy. That sounds more like China than it does the United States. This is shocking and should anger all Americans as we lose our freedom and the ability to create wealth in this country.
New York May Steal Your Organs: Force Residents into Organ Donor Programs

I am all for organ donor program, and I admire the work Democrat Secretary of State Jesse White has done in Illinois to raise awareness of the organ donor program. However, a new bill in New York may make you reconsider how you feel about the organ donor program. Your organs may become like the death tax when you are gone.
"We have 10,000 New Yorkers on the list today waiting for organs. We import half the organs we transplant. It is an unacceptable failed system," Brodsky said.
Brodsky's law would enroll all New Yorkers into the organ donor program. If you wanted to opt out of the program, you could do some paperwork. Until you speak up, the New York government will make the choice for you. It kind of removes the goodwill from the whole process.
Suntanned Women the Target in America and Iran: Tanning Tax, Banned Bikinis, and Crazy Islam

You may already know the United States government is conducting a war against tanning. In the healthcare bill was a 10% tax on tanning bed services. Then earlier this week, Kure Beach, North Carolina banned thongs on their beaches. The town now serves a summons to anyone wearing a stringy bikini on the beach or in the Atlantic Ocean. The mayor says you can wear a thong at your house, but not on the beach.
"We are not going to tolerate this situation and will first warn those found in this manner and then arrest and imprison them."

Obama's Immigration Sword Waving Cowers Down: It Sounds Like Amnesty is Further Down the Road

Obama must be realizing America agrees with Arizona according to the polls. As more Americans face unemployment the fact Obama even talks about adding 12 to 20 million illegals to the workforce through amnesty is just crazy, so it's no wonder more than 60% of Americans favor Arizona's tough immigration bill.
Obama started off the week waving his immigration sword pushing for amnesty, and at the end of the day today, it sounds like Obama is cowering down. Of course the coward waited until he was aboard Air Force One to comment after a day of sounding tough against Arizona. He said Congress "may not be an appetite" to deal with immigration this year.
"We've gone though a very tough year and I've been working Congress very hard, so I know there may not be an appetite immediately to dive into another controversial issue," the president told reporters aboard Air Force One returning with him to Washington from a Midwest trip.
Is Obama on the run? Possibly, but as you know these are usually just temporary mood swings designed to get our guard down. He did this many times with the healthcare bill as well. I don't believe amnesty for illegal immigrants is off the table, and it will raise its head again before November.
Obviously, the Democrats are scared at the poll numbers, and know amnesty will only hurt them worse in November. Of course, cap and trade, which they plan to move to next, won't help much either. Wait until this news spreads to Latinos who are planning May Day rallies in over 70 cities.
Latinos Look to May Day to Pressure Obama and Democrats to Break Laws and Weaken National Security
Hispanics mad over the state of Arizona actually enforcing laws, are rallying on May 1, in hope Obama will continue to break his Constitutional oath of protecting the United States. Americans are dying because the borders are insecure as Mexican gangs push drugs across the border, and Obama hasn't done anything to protect the country like the Constitution instructs.
In more than 70 cities, Hispanics will protest the Arizona law. They hope they can convince Obama to soften the stance on illegal immigration, which is taxing our cities and states with the extra services illegal aliens use without paying taxes.
They will hold up signs claiming they have rights, but the Constitution is clear on who actually has Constitutional rights. You have to be a citizen of the United States either by birth or by naturalization. Obviously, illegal aliens have neither, and it would be nice if these people actually studied the Constitution before assuming you just have rights because you step on American soil. The only rights illegal aliens have is a bus ride back to Mexico, and if they are lucky, it will be an air conditioned bus.
