Mark Levin Wrong on All Democrats Supporting Nancy Pelosi: Voting for Republicans May be Like Supporting Pelosi for Speaker As Well
While Republicans like Billy Long brag over their pathetic attempt to cut federal spending in the Pledge to America, which rolls back spending to 2008 according to Long, a year Nancy Pelosi ran Congress, Mark Levin is saying a vote for Democrats is a vote for Nancy Pelosi. Considering the Republicans stance in the Pledge to America and only rolling spending back to 2008, it appears voting for Republicans is as near to voting for Pelosi as you can get.
From the Springfield, Missouri News-Leader:
Long would like to see federal government spending rolled back to 2008 levels.
"That would save us $100 billion a year, just by doing that."
While I will agree republicans in control of the House and possibly the Senate is a much better alternative than Democrats, this date of 2008 shows the Republican party has learned little about why voters still have little confidence in the party. They are not conservatives anymore. Why aren't they rolling back spending to before 2000, when republican created surpluses were a fact.
Republicans have got to throw out their neo-con days which they became conservatively liberal republicans. From 2000 to 2008, the federal government grew and spending increased. The republican Pledge to America is simply not acceptable.
Now I started this blog to point out something Mark Levin said on his show that needs to be corrected. Levin said voting for a Democrat is a vote for Nancy Pelosi as speaker of the House. I know this not to be true in two cases.
Obviously the tea party backed Democrat from Idaho Walk Minnick would not have earned this endorsement had he promoted the policies of the last few years of bigger spending under Pelosi's direction in Congress.
As well Democrat Scott Eckersley is on record stating he will not vote for Pelosi as speaker and the Pelosi doesn't represent the interest or the values of his district.
