Prediction: Billy Long Will Back Out of Scheduled October 13 KY3 Congressional Debate

Billy Long may have recently agreed to the KY3 debates, from what I am told, but he will back out in time. It was revealed late last week by a republican insider who is upset with Long's lack of character, the Long strategy is to agree to debates, make negotiations impossible, blame Scott Eckersley for the the breakdown in debate negotiations, and then lie about the debates. This is exactly what we have seen so far.

The republican insider calls the Long campaign a real mess. He confirmed what many of us already suspected. Billy Long is dodging the debates.

Let's look at how the Long campaign has worked to make Billy Long inaccessible in hopes of hiding how little Billy Long knows and understands the problems that face our great Republic.

First, the agree to a ten debate series challenge offered by Scott Eckersley. Then Billy Long flies off to Vegas slowing the process down, and then flips the blame of stalling on Eckersley in the only press release I recall the Long campaign issuing this season. This turns into a who is running from the debates news story, which is exactly what Long wanted in order to focus the negative on Eckersley as well. When they finally met, Long's campaign states they never agreed to do the ten debates, even though they are on record saying they would do the ten debates.

KOLR/KSFX invites candidates to a debate they will host. They ask the candidates to respond to the invitation by news time last Wednesday. The only candidate who didn't respond was Billy Long.

Springfield Chamber of Commerce offers nine dates to hold a single forum. Billy Long couldn't agree to any of the nine dates to give up a couple hours of his time to engage in a Q&A discussion with our community through the Chamber. Not one of the nine!

Billy Long has been approached by multiple media outlets hoping for one on one interviews with Long. Instead, the campaign offers Jeff Roe or another Long handler to do the interview for Billy.

So if Billy Long's handlers are protecting him this much this far out of the election, why do we expect Billy Long to actually show up at the KY3 debates just three weeks out from the general election when more people will be tuning in? Billy Long won't show, and he will either make an excuse or say he never agreed to debate just like his campaign is pulling with Eckersley. Billy's handlers know three weeks out is just too dangerous considering Long's political ignorance to put him on the grandest of Ozark stages to debate.
