Kagan Hearings.... Boring

Elena Kagan's Supreme Court confirmation hearings began yesterday. There wasn't much of interest to talk about. A lot of dodging questions and of course plain out fibbing. As with many similar hearings or summits I find myself bored. Apparently, so was Democrat Senator Al Franken.

Franken was found at his desk during the hearing drawing a portrait of GOP Senator Jeff Sessions, who was consumed in debate over the nominee.

Instead of focusing on the question dodging and poor performance by Kagan, the media is focusing on this aspect of the hearing. The media is writing stories focusing on Franken's "impressive" art talents despite a very inexperienced woman is close to being appointed to the highest court in the land.
