Oil Spill Continues

British Petroleum is attempting once again to plug the hole that is estimated to be leaking thousands of barrels every day. Its most recent attempt to put a halt to the leak, consists of plugging the crack with mud. It is yet to be seen if it will be successful. President Obama is expected to extend the offshore drilling ban to avoid future spills and disasters. Applications for new drilling won't be evaluated until 2011.

"Never let a crisis go to waste" runs through my mind as Obama seeks to gain power in every situation he finds himself in. He has expressed a lot of frustration over the spill saying, "plug the damn hole." It's easy for him to say! He isn't the one traveling a mile down under water and trying to fix a leak that has never been solved before. Obama plans to travel to the southern coast on Friday to evaluate the situation.

  1. I really think it is quite ironic that everyone wants the hole fixed right now. And why did BP let this happen?

This is no more Obama's fault as Katrina was Bush's fault. Things happen!

  2. I truly think he is rubbing his hands together salivating over the opportunity to put an end to all drilling. If this were to have happened closer to shore or even on land, it would have been cleaned up within a matter of hours or days. It would have never lasted this long or done as much damage as it has.

Sorry about the captcha. I hate them just like you, but the spambots have gotten ridiculous.
