Over 1,100 Macon County, MO Tea Party Protesters Show Up to Protest Obama's Trip to Macon, MO: Robin Carnahan Plays it Safe

Obama showed up on the campaign trail with Robin Carnahan in Macon, Missouri. While some will lead you to believe Obama ordering a cheeseburger and fries at Peggy Sue’s in Monroe City, the real story the media fails to report is how this small Missouri city along the river was overtaken by tea partiers. The Macon County Patriots organized a tea party to protest Obama’s visit to Macon. More than 1,100 tea party patriots showed up to be heard.

Obama stopped by an insurance company to share with them how they will benefit from his healthcare reform law, but most in the insurance industry know tough times are coming as the bill makes it hard for insurance companies to provide competitive coverage based on the requirements. Then Obama went to an ethanol plant for a private tour, and then went on his way.

This was the first time Robin Carnahan joined Obama in any of his recent trips to Missouri. Carnahan has conveniently scheduled to be out of the state when Obama comes, and this time was no exception. Under pressure, she had a change of plans, but considering Obama’s limited public appearance in Macon, it’s clear Carnahan played it safe as she continues to show Obama is toxic in the midterm elections.

Sorry about the captcha. I hate them just like you, but the spambots have gotten ridiculous.
