Obama Sends Swat Teams to American Off Shore Oil Rigs in the Gulf of Mexico
One day before Earth Day, a Louisiana British Petroleum off shore oil rig mysteriously blew up. This of course was just weeks after Obama announced his plans to increase drilling. Now we are hearing Obama is sending a swat team to all oil rigs in the Gulf of Mexico. Was it terrorism? There could be two possibilities of terrorism.
From the White House Rose Garden, Obama said today, "I do want to speak briefly to the American people about the recent BP oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico. Earlier today DHS Secretary Napolitano announced that this incident is of national significance and the Department of Interior has announced that they will be sending SWAT teams to the Gulf to inspect all platforms and rigs and I have ordered the secretaries of interior and Homeland Security as well as administrator Lisa Jackson of the Environmental Protection Agency to visit the site on Friday to ensure that BP and the entire US government is doing everything possible not just to respond to this incident but also to determine its cause."
Oil Rigs don’t just explode. It’s possible, but it’s not very likely. In fact, on April 2, 2010, Obama said, ""I don’t agree with the notion that we shouldn’t do anything. It turns out, by the way, that oil rigs today generally don’t cause spills. They are technologically very advanced. Even during Katrina, the spills didn’t come from the oil rigs, they came from the refineries onshore."
Could this be the act of environmental terrorists or could this be Middle Eastern terrorists who know if Americans increase drilling, their power decreases? These are two very likely possibilities. Obviously both groups don’t want Americans using their own oil. I always felt there was more to this story, as the media is building this story up to benefit the environmentalist, claiming its worse than the Exxon Valdez.
I remind you, the site of the Exxon Valdez was cleaned up and proved to be a profitable fishing area after the cleanup. This should be interesting to watch. Of course, there could be the possibility this is false-flag terrorism in order to strengthen the liberal position that drilling for oil is evil and dangerous to the environment.

I would agree - something isn't right there. Don't forget the Russians. They were just given rights to drill off of our coast (cannot remember where at the moment), they haven't lost their former ways of doing things. I hesitate to say it, but I wouldn't count our government out either.

Osama bin Laden gave the order several years ago to attack the energy producing facilities in the West. Have you noticed the explosions of such facilities in the last year?
ReplyDeleteIn Rochester, NY, two men of ME descent were picked up with AK-47's outside of the Ginna Nuclear Facility. Now I can not say they had "evil intent" but they did not live in the area,,, so why were they playing with AK's outside the facilities fence? I don't "buy" the eco-terrorists" either.
Where is the information on the SWAT team deployment? Post title says "Obama Sends Swat Teams," but the post doesn't say where he said that, when they're deploying, where, or for what...
ReplyDeleteI buy "eco-terrorists". This is what this administration wants. President Obama has Lisa Jackson going to inspect. Next thing will be to shut down these unsafe drilling operations - all 4,000 plus of them to inspect them and after the inspections, make them more environmentaly friendly. This is the break this administration wanted to make their case for how unsafe and how unfriendly to the enviornment drilling for oil is.

And the wingnut rightwing FOX NOT NEWS liars Hannity and the republican party leader Rush Limbaugh saying the President wanted an offshore disaster is as ludicrous as the rest of the bile spewing forth from talk radio and the reborn John Birch Society.

ReplyDeleteObama said "SWAT teams". This may just be a bad choice of words as there are "teams" of inpectors ... which he may have call them.
ReplyDeleteHowever, Obama doesn't even know how to pronounce "corps" (Marine Corps). So... he may actually be referring to the SWAT teams we all think of. Oops.

What is a Swat Team of Investigators? Obviously, there is a lot here Obama can't tell Americans. Makes you wonder who is behind it.

I have been hearing things that I cannot divulge here, but I can tell you this..The Explosion was not an Accident...
Not real sure what Obama was calling "SWAT teams", but Transocean has what they call SWAT teams as well. They are a subsea team that works on the BOP stack.

ReplyDeleteVery impressive... 8 days after the explosion, Obama is sending Interior Department "SWAT" teams. As an ordinary American, excuse me, but I thought SWAT meant Special Weapons and Tactics. With WHAT are Interior Department SWAT teams armed? Note pads and pencils? chainsaws? fire extinguishers? Bush was hung out to dry for being slow to respond to Katrina... Obama has been clueless! Seems he might have dispatched Coast Guard or Naval resources to help contain the spill, until it could be burned off, and the rest cleaned up, as best as possible. Obviously, I'm not the only who believes this was no accident. There are trillions of dollars at stake in bogus green energy initiatives, as well as cap and trade. Increased drilling and production of our own vast resources will threaten the vested interests in alternate fuels. We may never know the truth.. particularly under this Administration, but sabotage was the first thing that came to mind, and will never believe it was an "accident".

ReplyDeleteNo one knows what really happened. It could be local or foreign terrorists, or maybe a poorly timed coincidence. Hopefully the real truth will surface. If this was an accident, the press coverage will surely give terrorists ideas they may not have had. If pirates can overtake a huge oil transport vehichile with tiny boats and cheap wepons, what says they cant overtake oil rigs? It is probably going to happen, if it hasn't already started. Governement should instal security forces on every platform. We spend so much on a losing battle in Iraq and Afganistan, we should spend more on protecting our own turf !!!!

Have anyone of you ever been out in the gulf 130 miles out.I have been on a boat right next to the rig and it is so deep you cant even drop an anchor and there are always people who are off shift hanging around rails watching!This was just a accident and it has happened before many times but this one was really bad one.It is ashame that they didn:t have better blow out prevention.The wild life and fisheries will be devastated.We will all suffer to because our gas cost at the pump will sky rocket!

And Obama certainly is at fault for much of the damage, as he refused to lift the Jones Act. thereby forbidding hte several foreeign countries in provifding hte assistance they offered. Also it is my understanding he has forbid hte skimmers available in this country from going htere, reserving htem for some other incident. OBAMA IS NOT A LEADER.
