Darrell Moore's Political Gamble Against the Little Guy: Southwest Missouri is Taking Notice

It’s looks to me, Greene County prosecutor Darrell Moore’s office hoped for a conviction on some clothes and living room evidence from an arson fire that just came back from the lab negative earlier this week. With little evidence now from the fire and their theory for a guilty ruling out the door, Moore’s office appears pigheaded to prosecute a man for a crime even though it looks like the prosecution’s case has fallen apart. It makes me wonder what Moore’s real agenda is in this case.
I ask this because after reading the message boards on KY3 it appears some people believe it may be politically motivated. One commenter on the board noted the closeness of the case between two men running for Congress in the Seventh District, which of course leads you to ask was this always politically motivated? After all, there seemed to be a rush to call in the feds based on contradictory reports, and there also seems to be a rush to judgment. One could also make the case that Republican Darrell Moore has worked to deny the accused of key rights contained in the Bill of Rights, since his star witness is a dog and the bail now seems excessive based on the lack of evidence. It seems curious as of now, was this politically motivated to embarrass another candidate in the Missouri Seventh Congressional District Race. By all accounts, it looks like Moore’s case has fallen apart, and it may just be possible he is trying to avoid embarrassment himself hoping something miraculous surfaces that will prevent a reasonable doubt.
Of course all this could very well come back and haunt Moore in the election. With what appears to be his hopes of making a case against the accused despite his key evidence coming back negative, Moore looks like he could care less about the little guy for his own self-gains possibly politically and prosecutorial. This isn’t going to sit well with conservatives who fear the loss of rights in the Constitution and it definitely isn’t going to sit well tea partiers who are tired of self-serving politicians. The longer he keeps what appears may be an innocent man behind bars without substantial evidence for a conviction, the more the little guys are going to take notice and begin to realize this case may appear to be politically motivated from the beginning, and perhaps in an effort to avoid embarrassment, Moore is only making the embarrassment worse for himself.
For whatever reasons, despite key evidence being thrown out after laboratory tests, Darrell Moore appears gung ho for a conviction, and he’s fighting hard with next to nothing. It really doesn’t look good to the electorate who are already angry of being walked all over by powerful politicians.
