Facebook Sex and Blackmail Gets Teenager 15 Years in Prison

A New Berlin, Wisconsin teenager will spend the next 15 years of his life in jail. Anthony Stancl convinced young teenage boys he was a hot girl on Facebook. He would get the boys to send him naked images of themselves. Then Sancl threatened each boy with blackmail if they didn't have sex with him.

The 19-year-old Stancl managed to get over 30 high school boys to send him photos, and seven of the boys fell for his threats.

My question is this. When are teenagers going to learn that when they take naked digital images of themselves, that image can multiply thousands of times in a very short period of time and cause them great embarrassment. There have been too many stories of sexting go bad. Seriously, they should take some advice from an adult who has personally seen how the Internet can nearly destroy some one's life. (Not mine, just someone I cared a lot about.)

As for Stancl, he is getting what he deserves. That's not always the case. It's easy to get suckered in my someone who is someone else than they claim to be on the Internet.

Sorry about the captcha. I hate them just like you, but the spambots have gotten ridiculous.
