I Want to Grow Old With You

From Pent-Up Aching Rivers by Walt Whitman

From pent-up aching rivers,

From that of myself without which I were nothing,

From what I am determin'd to make illustrious, even if I stand sole

among men,

From my own voice resonant, singing the phallus,

Singing the song of procreation,

Singing the need of superb children and therein superb grown people,

Singing the muscular urge and the blending,

Singing the bedfellow's song, (O resistless yearning!

O for any and each the body correlative attracting!

O for you whoever you are your correlative body! O it, more than all

else, you delighting!)

From the hungry gnaw that eats me night and day,

From native moments, from bashful pains, singing them,

Seeking something yet unfound though I have diligently sought it

many a long year,

Singing the true song of the soul fitful at random,

Renascent with grossest Nature or among animals,

Of that, of them and what goes with them my poems informing,

Of the smell of apples and lemons, of the pairing of birds,

Of the wet of woods, of the lapping of waves,

Of the mad pushes of waves upon the land, I them chanting,

The overture lightly sounding, the strain anticipating,

The welcome nearness, the sight of the perfect body,

The swimmer swimming naked in the bath, or motionless on his back

lying and floating,

The female form approaching, I pensive, love-flesh tremulous aching,

The divine list for myself or you or for any one making,

The face, the limbs, the index from head to foot, and what it arouses,

The mystic deliria, the madness amorous, the utter abandonment,

(Hark close and still what I now whisper to you,

I love you, O you entirely possess me,

O that you and I escape from the rest and go utterly off, free and lawless,

Two hawks in the air, two fishes swimming in the sea not more

lawless than we;)

The furious storm through me careering, I passionately trembling.

The oath of the inseparableness of two together, of the woman that

loves me and whom I love more than my life, that oath swearing,

(O I willingly stake all for you,

O let me be lost if it must be so!

O you and I! what is it to us what the rest do or think?

What is all else to us? only that we enjoy each other and exhaust

each other if it must be so;)

From the master, the pilot I yield the vessel to,

The general commanding me, commanding all, from him permission taking,

From time the programme hastening, (I have loiter'd too long as it is,)

From sex, from the warp and from the woof,

From privacy, from frequent repinings alone,

From plenty of persons near and yet the right person not near,

From the soft sliding of hands over me and thrusting of fingers

through my hair and beard,

From the long sustain'd kiss upon the mouth or bosom,

From the close pressure that makes me or any man drunk, fainting

with excess,

From what the divine husband knows, from the work of fatherhood,

From exultation, victory and relief, from the bedfellow's embrace in

the night,

From the act-poems of eyes, hands, hips and bosoms,

From the cling of the trembling arm,

From the bending curve and the clinch,

From side by side the pliant coverlet off-throwing,

From the one so unwilling to have me leave, and me just as unwilling

to leave,

(Yet a moment O tender waiter, and I return,)

From the hour of shining stars and dropping dews,

From the night a moment I emerging flitting out,

Celebrate you act divine and you children prepared for,

And you stalwart loins.

Something by the Beatles

Something in the way she moves,
Attracts me like no other lover.
Something in the way she woos me.
I don't want to leave her now,
You know I believe and how.

Somewhere in her smile she knows,
That I don't need no other lover.
Something in her style that shows me.
I don't want to leave her now,
You know I believe and how.

You're asking me will my love grow,
I don't know, I don't know.
Stick around, and it may show,
But I don't know, I don't know.

Something in the way she knows,
And all I have to do is think of her.
Something in the things she shows me.
I don't want to leave her now.
You know I believe and how.

Get Motivated at the 'Q'

I discovered yesterday my name was approved to go to a seminar on October 15 at the JQH Arena in Springfield, MO. I am very excited, because Terry Bradshaw is going to be there, and I think he is one of the funniest people alive. It’s not just Bradshaw that will be there. It’s an impressive list of speakers that are guaranteed to motivate and possibly share some life lessons which I could definitely apply to my life at this moment.

The business seminar includes what Zig Ziglar calls a dream team, and I can’t wait to listen to their lectures. I miss lectures like these since college. My last lecture I sat in on was the late Frank McCourt, who shared some great stories as one of America’s most celebrated educators.

The dream team includes General Colin Powell, Tamara Lowe, Dr. Earle Mindell, Terry Bradshaw, Suze Orman, as well as Ziglar, who I have been long familiar with from days as a sales rep in the dental industry. As much as I look forward to legendary quarterback Bradshaw’s sense of humor, I know Orman will have some wonderful lessons in finance, which I am in need of.

It should be a great event, and I am happy I have been chosen to go. I know there will be some great things to take out of this both from a personal and professional aspect. I am preparing to go back on the road with my new position in the marketing department, so there should be some good stuff in here. I am definitely going to share the lecture with my co-workers as well as my family.

Michelle by the Beatles

Michelle, my belle.
These are words that go together well,
My Michelle.

Michelle, my belle.
Sont des mots qui vont très bien ensemble,
Très bien ensemble.

I love you, I love you, I love you.
That's all I want to say.
Until I find a way
I will say the only words I know that
You'll understand.

Michelle, my belle.
Sont des mots qui vont très bien ensemble,
Très bien ensemble.

I need to, I need to, I need to.
I need to make you see,
Oh, what you mean to me.
Until I do I'm hoping you will
Know what I mean.

I love you...

I want you, I want you, I want you.
I think you know by now
I'll get to you somehow.
Until I do I'm telling you so
You'll understand.

Michelle, my belle.
Sont des mots qui vont très bien ensemble,
Très bien ensemble.

I will say the only words I know that
You'll understand, my Michelle.

The Reagan Quote of the Day (9/30/09)

Looming large in your inheritance is this country, this land America, placed as it is between two great oceans. Those who discovered and pioneered it had to have rare qualities of courage and imagination, nor did these qualities stop there. Even the modern-day immigrants have been possessed of courage beyond that of their neighbors. The courage to tear up centuries-old roots and leave their homelands, to come to this land where even the language was strange. Such courage is part of our inheritance, all of us spring from these special people and these qualities have contributed to the make-up of the American personality.

Haunted Eureka Springs, AR: The Crescent Hotel

The Crescent Hotel sits in the Ozark Mountains, and has a history of good ghost stories. Since it's close to Halloween, and I have promised not to write about politics and slow this blog down, I thought I would share some ghost pictures that my father's neighbor took during a visit at the Crescent Hotel before I turn out the lights.

He claims not to be a computer expert, doesn't own Photoshop, and enjoys looking for haunts. So giving him the benefit of the doubt, I vouch these pictures are authentic. He has several images of orbs, but I am not going to bore you with those. What he caught on his digital camera is simply amazing.

First let's get a brief history of the hotel.

The Crescent Hotel was built in Eureka Springs, Arkansas, in 1886. It was designed and built by Powell Clayton at a cost of $294,000. It sits on the West Mountain of the Ozarks on 27 acres. It served as a resort for visitors who traveled by the Frisco Railroad.

It's been called America's most haunted hotel. There are plenty of ghost stories that have attached themselves to the hotel. Ghostbusters from all over the country have visited the historic hotel hoping to catch a glimpse. There are many videos on YouTube of the Crescent ghosts.

Let's take a look at the pictures:

This was taken in one of the hallways of the Crescent Hotel. When you zoom in on the strange white image sticking out of the adjacent hallway or doorway, it looks like a hand grasping something.

From out of one of the walls of a room, this image captures what appears to be an older man in trousers and leather shoes. Remember if you want a closer look, just click on the image to enlarge.

Finally, let's look at one of the visitors who may not have survived his stay. There is a picture in the Crescent Hotel that features some of its earliest visitors.

Could this young man still be walking the hallways of the Crescent Hotel? I will let you decide. When the following pictures were taken, the photographer noticed nobody in the hallway. When he looked closely at his pictures, he found a strange image that resembles the photo found at the Crescent Hotel.

So much I have seen written on the Internet about the Crescent Hotel involves strange sounds and voices, purple gasses, and orbs. These images are far more interesting than average. I will let you decide what you believe as October is now upon us.

The Crescent Hotel is located at 75 Prospect Ave, Eureka Springs, AR. For more information, including some of the ghost stories, visit http://www.crescent-hotel.com/.

My Current Pick Me Up Song

I really like this song. It's Realtor by Pete Yorn and Scarlett Johansson.

I Want to be Your Last

If I had it my way
this would be the first time that you made love
I'd be the first man that your hands touched
but we've both done our share of living
taking chances we were given
I've never been big on looking back

I don't care if I'm your first love
but I'd love to be your last

If I could do it over
I'd have waited for this moment
to give my heart to you unbroken
but if our mistakes brought us together
it doesn't really matter whether
we were saints or sinners in the past

I don't care if I'm your first love
I'd just love to be your last

All I know is what I see when I look at you
and all I see is what I'm feeling down inside
and all I'm feeling is this feeling
that I finally got it right

When I wake up tomorrow
I'm going to throw my arms around you
thank my lucky stars I found you
cause I know your heart had so much more than
any man has touched before and
nothing matters more to me than that

I don't care if I'm your first love
but I'd love to be your last

Banana Pancakes

Well can't you see that it's just raining
there ain't no need to go outside...
But Baby, You hardly even notice
when I try to show you
this song is meant to keep ya
from doing what you're supposed to
like waking up too early
Maybe we can sleep in
I'll make you banana pancakes
pretend like it's the weekend now

And we can pretend it all the time, yeah
Can't you see that it's just raining
there ain't no need to go outside

But just maybe,
halaka ukulele
mama made a baby
Really don't mind the practice
cause you're my little lady
lady lady love me
cause I love to lay here lazy
we could close the curtains
pretend like there's no world outside

And we can pretend it all the time
and can't you see that it's just raining
there ain't no need to go outside
ain't no need ain't no need Mmmm MMmmm
Can't you see, can't you see
rain all day
and I don't mind.

The telephone singing ringing it's too early don't pick it up
we don't need to
we got everything we need right here and everything we need is enough
just so easy
when the whole world fits inside of your arms
do we really need to pay attention to the alarm?
wake up slow, mmm mmm wake up slow
But baby You hardly even notice
when I try to show you
this song is meant to keep ya
from doing what you're supposed to
like waking up too early
Maybe we can sleep in
i'll make you banana pancakes
pretend like it's the weekend now

And we can pretend it all the time
Can't you see that it's just raining
ain't no need to go outside
ain't no need ain't no need
rain all day and I really really really don't mind
Can't you see, can't you see,
you gotta wake up slow

The Reagan Quote of the Day (9/29/09)

To compare Congress to drunken sailors is an insult to drunken sailors.

Hiatus

When I began this blog nearly a year ago, I had no idea of the successes I would experience. With each new victory, I celebrated but I also became consumed by the blog. I let it interfere with my personal life and relationships, and my world soon seemed to revolve around saving the country when in fact I was losing myself.

While I have met so many amazing people on this path, I have also hurt people that I love. I need to walk away from Bungalow Bill’s Conservative Wisdom for now until I am capable of developing a healthy balance. When I started this I never realized how fast the path of change would be set in motion, and the time that it took to discover what is going on in Washington DC removed my time at home.

I hurt the one person I love more than anybody in this world. I have let her down in so many ways. I just can’t do it anymore. I can’t live with her not feeling special, loved, needed, wanted, and secure. I can’t live without her. This blog has taken priority in my life, and that’s not what I intended when I began writing in last October. I had recently gotten married, and I still haven’t figured out what I need to do to be a great husband and achieve the dreams we shared before our wedding day. I need to find comfort and direction with my new skin, and I didn’t prioritize my marriage before everything else.

There are so many mornings I should have stayed in bed and held my wife, and I was up doing the morning blogs, watching my hits grow, and seeing the Google AdSense money add up. What I didn’t see is the decline in the vision I shared with a very special woman who has loved me unconditionally for many years. This blog hasn’t been worth it, and I have been given the chance to save what is important to me.

We met my first weekend home from basic training and AIT. I had joined the Army Reserves a few months earlier, and I was trying to get my normal life back. School was still a few months away, but I had bought a new car with money I set aside while in basic and so I went to McDonald’s to get my old job back. That’s where I caught her eye.

It would be a few more days until we formally met. There was a bowling party on the evening of May 4, 1991, and some friends I worked with convince me to go. As I bowled, I realized a new girl had joined our little click, and I found myself flirting with her. As we left the bowling alley, I found myself wanting to get to know this woman, and we went an old deserted camp known as Winoka which sits above Springfield Lake. We knew as we walked the dark trails under the moonlight what was going on, and I think we both couldn’t wait to get rid of the others.

We eventually got away from the others and wound up spending the rest of the evening talking and kissing at Doling Park. It was an amazing night, but one that would create a lot of jealousy among the soap opera known as McDonalds. One night, someone we considered a mutual friend began lying about both of us. I was with her and she was with him. Soon, the lies led to some bad decisions through the jealousy, and pride killed what should have been.

Many years later while I was in Springfield for the Tour of Missouri, she saw me in a television interview, and we were given a second chance at what should have been. I have come too close now to ruining this second chance. It’s time to end this blog and take care of my responsibilities at home and with my wife and family. Maybe later, I could find time to balance time and make a contribution here and there. For now, I can’t take that chance. I love my Michelle, and I don’t want to know what life is without her.

I used to play Adam Sandler’s I Want to Grow Old With You to her. I have learned over the past year how the years quickly catch up with you. They fly by. I don’t want to lose any more time. I have had some personal issues knowing I am a pirate looking at forty. I thought I could steal time and there would always be plenty to give. I was wrong.

Thanks to everyone who has encouraged this blog and contributed in one form or another. Please know I am with the freedom movement in spirit. For now, I have a marriage that needs fixing. I love Michelle, and I want to spend the rest of my life with her. I don’t want to lose her. So I am signing off.

James River Freeway and National Avenue Diverging Diamond: Pedestrian Interchange

Why is the city of Springfield, Missouri, who is suffering from mismanaged police officer pensions and other messes building a pedestrian bridge over James River Freeway over National Avenue near the Medical Mile? Who walks over this intersection? Why would anyone start walking now? The city along with MODOT and Cox Hospital are paying for the pedestrian bridge. It seems like a real waste of money to me. The Diverging Diamond has been a great idea, but a pedestrian bridge in the middle?

To make matters worse, it is going to be built in the center of the road. Which means if any pedestrian uses it, they will be required to walk across three lanes of busy traffic on National? Couldn't this money be spent for something better? Here are the details:

Work on the National Avenue / James River Freeway Diverging Diamond begins Thursday, Oct. 1.

MoDOT has issued the following traffic advisory. Please take this into consideration when planning your travel to and from work as lane closures are certain to add time to your commute. Please consider alternate routes to avoid the affected area. Above all, please drive safely!

National Avenue/James River Freeway (Route 60):
Daytime Lane Closings to Begin Thursday, Oct. 1

MoDOT, District 8, Springfield -- One northbound and one southbound lane of National Avenue on the bridge over James River Freeway (Route 60) will be closed during daytime hours beginning Thursday, Oct. 1, and lasting into the week of Oct. 5, the Missouri Department of Transportation said.

Contractor crews will begin removing a concrete median down the center of the bridge.

Crews will close the lanes between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. Thursday and Friday, Oct. 1-2.

The outside through lane will be open in each direction and a very short left-turn lane will be available for National Avenue drivers who need to access the James River Freeway. Driving delays are expected during the work.

No work is planned over the weekend and all lanes on National Avenue will be open to traffic.

However, on Monday, Oct. 5, crews will resume work on the National Avenue bridge. Each day through the week, a lane in each direction on the National Avenue bridge will be closed during the day.

Weather and/or construction delays will alter the work schedule.

Early Heads Up

Starting the week of Oct. 19, more extensive work is scheduled to begin on the project. That's when long-term lane closings and traffic shifts will be needed on National Avenue between Bradford Parkway north of the bridge and Kingsley Street south of the bridge over the James River Freeway.

Drivers can expect slow-moving traffic with delays getting through the work zone, with workers and equipment set up very close to traffic.

Project Details

* Widen the National Avenue bridge (10 feet on each side) over James River Freeway to provide three lanes in each direction across the bridge. The bridge is in good condition and does not have to be replaced or undergo significant repairs. The bridge deck will be sealed.

* Widen ramps. Dual right-turn lanes will be provided from westbound James River Freeway to northbound National Avenue .

* Build a pedestrian walkway down the middle of the National Avenue bridge.

* Add a lane in each direction on National Avenue south of the bridge to Kingsley Street and north of the bridge to Bradford Parkway .

* Build an additional lane in each direction on the James River Freeway connecting the ramps at National Avenue and Campbell Avenue .

* Build a service road and underpass underneath National Avenue north of James River Freeway to improve connections between Cox Health facilities on both sides of National Avenue and provide safer entry to Cox South Hospital , including its emergency department. This also will improve traffic flow and safety for drivers on National Avenue going past the Cox Health facilities.

* Convert the interchange into a Diverging Diamond Interchange design where the opposing lanes of National Avenue will criss-cross at traffic signals at the ends of the bridge over the James River Freeway. Crossing the bridge, oncoming traffic will be on the right. Opposing lanes will be divided by concrete barriers, with a pedestrian walkway in between the walls.

This configuration will provide left-turning vehicles on National Avenue a "free left" onto the James River Freeway ramps. At the same time, traffic continuing north or south on National Avenue will be able to travel more steadily through the interchange, reducing backups. Signs, pavement markings and concrete islands will clearly guide drivers and help prevent making a wrong turn into the opposing lanes.

The project at National Avenue and the James River Freeway will cost $9.7 million, including $7.5 million for construction and $2.2 million for engineering and right-of-way acquisition. Springfield , Cox Health and MoDOT will share the cost.

The prime contractor is Emery Sapp and Sons of Columbia. The project is scheduled for completion in August 2010.

(For more information, call City of Springfield at 864-1010 or MoDOT at 895-7600. Or visit springfieldmo.gov <http://springfieldmo.gov/> or modot.org/springfield.)

And Since There are Less Jobs for Teens, Obama Wants to End Summer Vacation

Teens may have less time to spend looking for summer jobs and just being kids of Obama gets his way. It looks like summer vacation as we know it may soon be over--something that could hit the summer tourism economy hard if he isn't careful.

Obama says kids spend too little time in school, which robs them of the time students in other countries get for education.

"Now, I know longer school days and school years are not wildly popular ideas," Obama said earlier this year. "Not with Malia and Sasha, not in my family, and probably not in yours. But the challenges of a new century demand more time in the classroom."

Arne Duncan is also driving this idea of less summer and more school. "Our school calendar is based upon the agrarian economy and not too many of our kids are working the fields today," the Education Secretary said.

You know, I have no problem with the length of summer vacation. I think it's beneficial for kids to get the extended time off to head to summer camp, play in the neighborhood, and just be kids so they can develop their social skills. I think before we go taking away an American tradition, which also has traditionally helped the economy as families go on vacations, maybe we should look at the old argument quality over quantity. Adding more doesn't necessarily make something better, it just gives you more.

The federal government needs to relax their control over the public schools and return the power back to the states and communities. The communities need to be in charge if ensuring the quality of the local schools. The federal government has tried for over fifty years, and our schools have fallen hard. Reducing summer vacation isn't going to solve anything. If you want our schools to excel, teachers must be qualified. They must get the soap opera dramas out of the classrooms in which young teachers fall in love with students, and they must develop a curriculum that challenges children, unlike No Child Left Behind, which only hurt the exceptional students by holding them back for students who should have been placed in special needs classrooms. It's time to push kids to learn, and not be soft. This is a hard world, and nine months is plenty of time to develop a plan that provides real success in the classroom.

52.2% Unemployment Rate for Teenagers

Jobs are getting harder to find for those Americans who need a stepping stone from teenager to adulthood. The 'yes we can' generation who saw hope in Obama are looking at a bleak immediate future according to the Department of Labor's latest statistics. Proof the economy isn't improving like Obama claims.

As Americans have less disposable income, often income that hires teenagers and young adults through restaurants, entertainment, and leisure venues, more teenagers are finding it harder to look for work. The number of unemployed teens in American has risen to 52.2%.

Obviously, this isn't good news for a generation of kids looking to earn money for college, cars, and other items that help them move forward to the next phase of their lives, and it will eventually mean more strain on American households as these kids stay longer at their parent's home, and the parents cover their expenses over a longer period of time--which removes more disposable income.

Should we look at the recent increases in minimum wage, which has eventually, as predicted, popped the hiring bubble? Employers during a bad economy obviously had problems dealing with the increase while seeing less money come in the door. Once again, we see how class envy, which has driven the minimum wage argument from the left, has hurt those at the bottom looking to climb upwards.

The numbers don't lie. Since the last increase in minimum wage, the numbers have increased dramatically towards less jobs. It had to happen sometime, but of course, they will never connect the two. In a few years we will hear how you can't live on minimum wage. Of course it was never intended to be a livable wage, but increasing it upwards may make it harder just to live for these kids.

KISS and Obama?

Let it be first said, that if you have ever listened to Gene Simmons talk about politics, I don't think he leans towards hope and change. KISS is proof what hard work and capitalism can provide in America, and Gene Simmons has become a symbol of marketing genius.

As KISS may finally be voted into the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame, remember shock rock has always been snubbed, a comic strip makes fun of Barack Obama's desire to be seen everywhere as KISS hits the road in full make up to support their latest record, Sonic Boom. KISS fans may enjoy this little bit of political satire making fun of Obama's narcissism, which may actually be bigger than Simmon's himself. I guess we may find out who actually has the bigger ego with the KISS tour which opened this week at Cabo Hall in Detroit.

2009 Fashions are Just Sad!

This was seen at the 2009 Emmy Awards. It was worn by a fame seeker at the Emmys, so I won't even mention her name. It's just so pathetic! That dress clearly scream 'No You Didn't.'

Sit and Wait: Iran Gets Nukes Venzezuela Follows

Don't you feel our intelligence as well as our government has failed us? They haven't taken a tough stance against Iran, and now it appears Iran has a second nuclear weapons facility in the making. They are also close to developing delivery systems. Now it looks like Iran will hand off their knowledge to Hugo Chavez to possibly develop weapons in our hemisphere.

A partnership is developing between Iran and Chavez. Iran will have access to Venezuela's uranium deposits and Iran will help Venezuela develop their uranium deposits for energy and what every other trouble Chavez wants to get in to.

Venezuela claims they only want to use the deposits for energy, but Iran is a strange bedfellow considering their intentions with their own deposits in Iran. Of course the United States continues to lessen its role in the world in keeping these weapons out of countries like Iran.

Healthcare and Jail Time

Want to go to jail? Don't buy health insurance. It's worked for the car insurance industry, and it seems to be a direction the federal government will take to force people into a government plan ultimately with the goal of subsidizing for those who can't afford it on path to a single-payer socialists healthcare system.

The plan would force people to pay a $1,900 fine if they choose not to carry healthcare insurance. John Ensign (R-NV) confirmed the penalty for not paying the fine would be jail time. Ensign received the following memo on JCT letterhead after questioning the proposed legislation currently before Congress.

Violators could be charged with a misdemeanor and could face up to a year in jail or a $25,000 penalty.

Sincerely,
Thomas A. Barthold.

Healthcare reform continues to look like it will rob more Americans of their freedoms.

Depressive

I have to agree with MAInfo, the Drudge Report today has been the source of world depression. I just don't feel like commenting too much about all of it. I am taking the rest of the day off. Nuclear weapons, terrorism, Afghanistan, Iran, billions more gone, more swine flu news, G20, and so much more. I bet Billy Joel could write another verse of We Didn't Start the Fire.

Humbled

I can’t say how humbled I am by the hope I have received by the readers of this blog. Allies and adversaries alike have wished me well, and the lessons I am having to learn at home need to be applied here as well. I try to give everyone respect, but I am hard headed—listen to the song. There is a reason I titled the blog Bungalow Bill.

I have had so much time to reflect—to understand, and I need to enforce these reflections in my life. Pointing fingers doesn’t always do one well, and while in a blog it’s justified it’s not necessarily in your personal relationships. Pointing fingers at home doesn’t lead to a better life. Everyone is responsible to making a house a home, and I have no right pointing fingers if I didn’t take the time to be a part of something in the first place. It’s really my own fault for not being more involved.

I am sorry to the people I have hurt. It wasn’t intentional. Sometimes the road to a better life is full of disappointments and how we handle those disappointments usually decides if we get to the better life. I should learn this lesson and maybe show a little respect to those regular visitors who don’t agree; let’s try to engage in a healthier debate—maybe even get past the anonymous moniker.

I have a lot of fixing to do. In my desires to be successful and provide, I fell. I fell hard. I notice I became snappy sometimes with my readers. While I am not going to change my views of what’s right for our country, I could have done a better job of making you feel welcome—just like I could have done a better job in my home making things better.

I know there can never be a me. I committed to being an us at home. Which means I need to take less time on my side projects like the blog, new Web sites, online businesses, and spend more time with the people that last building strong relationships that promote dependability, trust, honesty, love, friendship, and vitality.

Rush on Jay

The Jay Leno show is fun and has a wide variety of guest. Last night's was one of my favorites. Check this out.

Fireproof

It's easy to get off the trail in life--you know the one you dream about for hours, days, months, and years. Maybe it's an individual dream, or maybe it's something bigger--the dream of sharing your life forever with someone more important that anyone in the world.

I am being forced to realize how hard the road can sometimes be and how easy it is to give up on the dream, especially when its with someone you love and care about. When you make those dreams, you rarely account for real life and the decisions that come with it. Flowers are easy, but dealing with the every day problems of life are hard, especially when you come from parents with strong convictions. You often get tricked into believing there is only one road, when in fact there are many.

Time goes by so fast, and you often put aside the things that stand out and made a life unique when the threat of the real world comes knocking an bring you down. Times are hard right now, but that's no excuse. Love should be able to overcome these things, but sometimes the weight bears down too hard, crushing most of the life out of something and it's time to heal, forgive, and strengthen.

It's been nearly 18 years since I came home from the army. I was a cocky kid, as you know I love to be right, and my military training made my focus narrow. I have tried to relax, but I am also a student of B.F. Skinner. It's hard to teach an old dog new tricks. I need to try though for the people in my life.

When I got back, I caught the eye of the most amazing woman in the world. The only woman who I think has ever really loved me. She did it for 17 long years apart after an acquaintance lied about me leading to a phone call not under the best of terms. We all make mistakes when we hurt. I am just as guilty.

Fortunately, our paths would cross again, and the spark that was found the night shortly after I came home from the army was still there. It was a amazing, and I dreamed for the first time in years. She brought out the best of me, or was it God that brought out the best in me as he brought this blessing back into my life.

We found our strength in God. We read the Bible together, prayed, and we discovered what real love felt like, and it was simply amazing. We must also realize that what God gives us can be easily taken away if we don't continue to thank God for his blessings. And soon after the word I do were said in a little park in Eureka Springs, Arkansas, we let the negative into our lives and we dwell on it.

We stopped worshiping together as our beliefs in denominationalism, mans rules of how the Bible is interpreted, fracture our foundation. Soon it was family issues that we could never find the answers to because we stopped looking for the answers through prayer and scripture. Our marriage fell apart quickly before our eyes, and Sunday mornings that were once filled with conversations of dreams, family, friendships, and God, soon became the Sunday run for a Starbucks mocha Frappuccino and an apple fritter or breakfast burrito. The vacuum cleaner grasped in her hand rather than the Bible, and the water hose in his rather than her hand leading their modern family into church.

Soon came all the issues that we once thought we were above. The bills started piling up and we got behind only adding to the tension. God who once replaced materialism soon was sacrificed over the false hope that materialism could make us happy again. It didn't. It made things worse. Soon the loving body language that people once envied, became stiff, stressed, and in the end lost. We pushed God out the door.

Sure we tried on some weeks by reading a few scriptures if we found time past Americas Got Talent or writing blog content in hopes of saving the world. We may have wound up in Church. No one was saved by it. In fact, we destroyed nearly everything.

Now the woman that I loved enough to wait on for 37 years of my life seems a stranger to me. I want so badly to tell her I love her more than anything in this world, but it's no longer that easy.

So many people are offering advice. Some say separate for six months and see how you feel at the end of it. Others say divorce, while others say do what it takes to work things out. Not one of them has said what we really need to do.

Do we love each other? I know I do, and it seems from what I know she loves me. Still not one person had really come out and said it until this morning at 3:30 when I had the revelation that I needed to wake my friend Jim up in a dream. I awoke from my light sleep, and I knew why I needed to talk to him. I knew exactly what he would say because I saw his ship sinking just over a year ago. I saw the pain and I see the happiness now.

The revelation wasn't in the phone call. The revelation came before I dialed. We needed to rededicate our lives, our love, and our marriage to God. I knew that as I lied in bed wondering I should call Jim.

It took three tries to finally get him to hit the green talk button. I finally heard his voice and a great comfort came over me. For some reason I knew early this morning that my answer was going to be confirmed in this phone call. Yet, I still had no reason to know why.

It turns out my friend had a secret that he has shared with no one up until 3:30 this morning. It's one of those things that happens for a reason, and you are shamed by it. It's a wake-up call, so to speak.

As I sat crying on the phone to my friend knowing I have failed my wife, her children, and my God, I heard the identical tale coming from his lips. He went through the same experience that I had, and he assured me my marriage could be saved and made better.

I sit here writing this hoping only one person actually reads all the way through it. It's a detour from the norm, but it's all I have to save my marriage and tell the woman who I call wife that I love her more than anything in the world. I am sorry I failed in so many ways, and I admit that I was wrong. I was wrong for turning from God and his plan for our lives. I did that for all the wrong reasons, mainly for comfort, and I have found more discomfort in my decision. So many people are telling us what to do, but unless we ask God to help us both find forgiveness and put us on the right path, we might as well walk away. We have talked all we can. We have tried marriage counseling. We never went back to what worked when we were happy.

I am ready to fireproof not only my life but my marriage and the relationship with her children. We have become like dry timber in the forest, and the lightning strikes of evil set our hearts ablaze. It never had to be this way, and we both moved away from the one promise we made before our marriage--to make it Godly. Now, our forest has been burnt black but there is still a fertile piece which hasn't been charred and ruined. If you have faith, won't you pray. Pray for us. Pray that we may receive God's blessing and build our marriage like my friend and others have built theirs. I don't want to walk away from this woman.

I want the walks in the park that we once enjoyed while holding hands tightly. I want to take more date nights and cuddle on the couch more. I want to go to the bed and breakfast and relive the night we were married, when I looked into your eyes and knew you were mine. That meant more to me than I know you got out of it. I always communicate better on paper than in words.

If I could I would tell you I love you as you awoke this morning, and I would hold you as the sun came through our bedroom window. You would know then what I know now. We can make this work. We can heal. We must do it through God, especially if the letter you wrote me on Wednesday was the truth--that you too don't want a divorce. You are an amazing woman, and I am very lucky to be a part of your life considering the chance meeting of so many years ago. I am not willing to leave that memory bleeding to die. It's time we asked for forgiveness and ask God to direct us so nothing, not even the devil himself can destroy what God has joined together.

I am not saint, I am not easy, but I do love you. I am willing to ask God to direct me to help make you the happiest woman alive. If it's not to be in your heart, then I will leave in peace with my sincerest best wishes that you find the happiness you deserve. Without handing it over to God, we will never have given it a true chance and you and I both know that.

Could China Destroy the United States Simply by Saying No

Armageddon? Could there be a financial Armageddon on the horizon? Many people fear the United States has become too dependent on foreign treasuries purchasing American bonds, and our debt to the Chinese is adding up at an alarming rate as Obama continues to oversee the spending for more and more big government.

Tiger Management founder and chairman Julian Robertson told CNBC, "It's almost Armageddon if the Japanese and Chinese don't buy our debt,” Robertson said in an interview. "I don't know where we could get the money. I think we've let ourselves get in a terrible situation and I think we ought to try and get out of it."

“If the Chinese and Japanese stop buying our bonds, we could easily see [inflation] go to 15 to 20 percent,” he said.  “It's not a question of the economy. It's a question of who will lend us the money if they don't. Imagine us getting ourselves in a situation where we're totally dependent on those two countries. It's crazy.”

Of course, as he creates this shocking scenario, we know one topic of conversation at the G20 this week will be the possibility of a new international currency as countries like China worry about debt repayment in the future. This is one sign China may eventually stop lending; although as of now, Americans borrow to buy the increasing line of Chinese products, which will begin to slow if present job trends continue sending jobs to places like China. It’s time to heed this warning.

Football May be More Proof Economy Not Improving Like Obama Claims

Pee Wee and Mighty Mites football may be another sign the economy isn’t improving like Obama claims. As more people face unemployment with the job outlook in decline until next year, many men and women are finding more time to coach. As the recession is forcing organizations to cut costs and participation charges, football programs across the country are looking at ways to save money.

Since more people are unemployed, one of the things these elementary football programs are doing is moving games up afternoon hours when the kids get out of school. This cuts down on the costs to light the field. In fact, it may be a positive family experience during the recession. As families are looking to cut cost, one would think sports would be an easy decision, but parents are using children’s sports as entertainment while cutting off cable TV and other services. Obviously a plus since game night encourages all members of the family to play, coach, and cheer.

Programs like the Mighty Mites are seeing increases in participation. The cost for a kid to play is approximately $50, which covers the registration, which includes pads and jerseys, and the parents are recommended to buy a pair of turf shoes. Obviously the cost is far less than a couple months of cable. For four nights a week, the kids practice and play a game.

Obama Indoctrination

Just a few weeks ago, conservatives were attacked after accusing Obama of indoctrinating school children before a planned speech which was changed after the Department of Education's agenda was released. Now, we have a video surfacing of teachers brainwashing school kids about Barack Obama, which was filmed before Obama's speech. They say if you say something enough, you begin to believe it. Now listen to what is going on in this classroom.

This is disturbing. Equal work means equal pay--that's communism. This was filmed around June 19, 2009 at the B. Bernice Young Elementary School in Burlington, NJ.

ACORN's Government Ties Run Deep

No wonder ACORN knows how to steer a pimp and a prostitute to comply with the IRS tax code while starting an illegal business, it seems they have infiltrated all parts of our government. The IRS notified ACORN they will not be part of the IRS sponsored volunteer tax assistance program. The program counsels low-income tax filers.

Now our tax system takes the most from the people higher up and almost nothing from the people at the bottom since it's a progressive tax system. That shows ACORN is a tool of redistribution of wealth which the progressive tax system promotes. People that pay no to little taxes have all sorts of credits they can take advantage of, which is what ACORN was doing with this little program with the IRS.

New World Order Currency

I predicted a couple days ago there was going to be a push for a new currency at the G20 summit in Pittsburgh. Drudge headlines this story today.

In the story, they give you some peace of mind citing the dollar is secure thanks to America's political system. Is the American political system that secure considering the changes occurring in America?

"The dollar will remain the dominant world currency, thanks to the stability of our political system and the rule of law that isn't a feature of many other economies," said Irwin Stelzer, director of economic-policy studies at the Washington-based Hudson Institute.

I almost think this is one of those comments that make you sit back and go whew, it can't possibly happen, but I fear it is going to happen. The world leaders have consistently pushing the dollar out the door since Obama entered the White House. There is obvious a reason why they have chosen to do this at a time of great change in America. Is Obama a puppet of the shadow government who will put this in place? There are many that think so, and the timing of this change in international currency is interesting.

Remember just a couple days ago, Obama was pushing for more power to the IMF. The details of those powers are unknown; yet we have this story coming out at the G20 prepares to open in Pittsburgh. Let's get ready to watch what goes down.

Wolf Blitzer Nails David Axelrod on Healthcare: Interestate Health Insurance Would be Disruptive to Obama's Single Payer Agenda

Wolf Blitzer suddenly has a great moment in what seems a less than impressive journalism career. He asks David Axelrod why doesn’t Obama lift restrictions on insurance companies that prevent them from operating across the state lines to increase government competition. Axelrod’s answer shows Obama has no interest in the free market. His answer also shows that Obama’s real intent is empowering government with the single payer system.

BLITZER: Why not break down the state barriers and let all of these insurance companies compete nationally without having to simply focus in on a state by state basis?

AXELROD: Because we are trying to do this in a way that advances the — the interests of consumers without creating such disruption that it makes it difficult to to move forward.

BLITZER: Why would that be disruptive? If Blue Cross and Blue Shield or United Health Care or all of these big insurance companies, they don’t have to worry about just working in a state, they could just have the opportunity to compete in all 50 states?

AXELROD: But insurance is regulated at the — at this time, Wolf…

BLITZER: But you could change that. The president could propose…

AXELROD: …state by state.

BLITZER: The president could propose a law…

So the truth is Obama’s agenda is not to lower healthcare costs at all. He stumbles when he says we are trying to do this in a way that advances and then brings it back to the consumers as he makes this bogus claim that if Humana or any of the others start selling health insurance across state lines, it would be disruptive. Disruptive? To what? Obama’s desire to nationalize more of the economy and gain more power?

Remember the key words, it would make it difficult to move forward. Remember forward for Obama is a single-payer system, and there are plenty of videos on the internet which prove this.

Jay Leno's Dinner Question for Barney Frank

Did anyone catch Barney Frank on the Jay Leno show last night. Jay did a question and answer with Congressman Frank over a satellite feed. One of the questions Leno asked Frank was, out of Glenn Beck, Rush Limbaugh, and Ann Coulter, who would he like to dinner with.

Frank answered Rush Limbaugh. He said the experience would be so painful that he knew he could count on Rush to bring the pain killers. I think Frank failed to tell you the pain from his back side has been bothering him for years, so any dinner experience Frank has is quite painful. In fact, a Preparation H truck is normally parked outside of each of his Congressional offices.

Did the New York Times just Scream 'You Lie' to Obama on Climate Change?

Obama must not have read the New York Times today before heading off to the corruption known as the United Nations. The New York Times basically gave Obama a Joe Wilson yell in the middle of his UN speech. The times writes today:

The world leaders who are meeting at the United Nations to discuss climate change on Tuesday are faced with an intricate challenge: building momentum for an international climate treaty at a time when global temperatures have been stable for a decade and may even drop in the next few years.

You lie Obama, and you obviously took your lies to the United Nations to make a case for cap and trade; which will rob Americans of more of their hard earned income, to increase government involvement in Americans lives through regulating their energy consumption, and working with the world to reverse the ‘damage’ of the those ‘evil’ American industries that have robbed the world of a ‘safe planet.’ Obama is all part of this redistribution of wealth political scheme which is global warming, and even the New York Times is questioning the claims of the science of climate change.

ACORN Appoints Democrat to Conduct Indpendent Inquiry into Community Oranizing Group's Operations

ACORN has announced a Democrat has been appointed to audit the organization of community organizers. Former Massachusetts Attorney General Scott Harshbarger will conduct the investigation which should have been conducted during the 2008 elections. ACORN only responded to the audits once they were caught on tape.

Isn’t it nice that a Democrat will head what they term as an independent investigation of ACORN. After the Democratic party’s big gains from the corrupt group of community organizers, they have agreed to allow a Democrat to look at the books and operations. Do you really think anything will come about other than the firing of the workers who got caught?

Harshburger said, "I have been asked by the leadership of ACORN to conduct an independent and comprehensive inquiry and review of the management of its service delivery to communities. The CEO and Board have also asked me to make a full report, including recommendations for restoring ACORN's full capacities to carry out its mission on behalf of low- and moderate-income families."

In other words, a Democrat was hired to ensure ACORN wasn’t cut off from federal funding. Call ACORN )866-67-ACORN) and your Congressman and demand accountability to make sure they don't get another dime. Don't buy into this ACORN rhetoric.

The Days of America as a World Economic Power Are Over

Obama’s address to the United Nations today gave us more insight into Obama’s views of America. Obama all but apologized for the United States in front of the corrupt world leaders at the United Nations. He then promised to do more, all as the sun continues to go into a dead period with few sunspots which hints we are going into a cooling period which may even lead to a new ice age. Remember before all these climate clowns started their heat fear mongering to rob you of more taxes, scientists were warning of a new ice age. The sun may be maneuvering to that.

Sea ice has expanded 500,000 square miles in the Arctic Circle, as the earth approaches a sun spot absence record, a government hydrologist pointed out in a recent article on sunspots. The earth has gone through a period of 51 days this year without a sunspot. This situation not been seen since 1913, which had 52 days without a sunspot. That same year, the Hudson River froze allowing New Yorkers to walk across the river. If you have already forgotten, the northern plains farmers have already had issues with crops considering the cooler summer temperatures. Obama could be setting up millions of people to starve by ignoring the real weather facts as he looks to help the United Nations with their global warming redistribution of world wealth scheme.

Our own president is ready to give up our role as an economic power because he thinks he can control the sun. You have to control the sun in order to control temperatures. Do you understand what is at stake here? The earth goes through natural processes and as Americans lose more jobs thanks to government stupidity, he proudly stood before the UN nearly apologizing for our role in the world. As long as he is bowing down to these crazies who have worked for years to defeat the United States economical power through the pseudo science known as global warming. Of course the UN applauds as America dies. It’s an easy road now with Obama in charge.

US Government Continues to Scold American Behavior

The Secretary of Energy is now prepared to babysit Americans. For the past few weeks it’s been Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius showing and enforcing Americans who to sneeze properly. Now it’s Steven Chu who wants to babysit as he compares Americans to teenagers.

“The American public…just like your teenage kids, aren’t acting in a way that they should act,” Dr. Chu said. “The American public has to really understand in their core how important this issue is.”

Now Chu prepares to teach Americans how to responsibly use energy, because Americans aren’t responsible enough to do it without the government breathing down our backs. They are hitting the nation’s schools first with their new education program.

“We’re showing people across the country how energy efficiency can be part of what they do every day,” said EPA Administrator Lisa Jackson. “Confronting climate change, saving money on our utility bills, and reducing our use of heavily-polluting energy can be as easy as making a few small changes.”

Nothing like your kids coming home and telling you how evil you are for using your big screen TV to watch as many football games as you can on Sunday afternoon is there. Frankly this language all the president’s men and women (czars and cabinet secretaries) is starting to get insulting. Don’t compare me to a teenager Mr. Chu. I go to work so I can enjoy using electricity in my house, drive across the country to see what was once a great nation that led the world through innovations and the use of energy, and help promote the growth of the economy. I am sick of being talked to like a child by these idiots in the Obama administration.

Ambulances and Firetrucks Seen at Robert Byrd's House

Robert Byrd's health hasn't been good in recent weeks. Now reports coming out of West Virginia claim a parade of ambulances and firetrucks raced to his home. Nothing more is known. Byrd's neighbors noticed that more nurses would be at the home over the last week.

This is developing. Byrd of course is the long-standing Demcorat senior Senator from West Virginia and a former member of the Ku Klux Klan.

Kill the Messenger Journalism Wound Up Killing ACORN and Maybe Obama Too

It's no wonder taxpayers are so angered in America in 2009. Of course, taxpayers have awakened, and they understand how the mainstream media uses kill the messenger journalism to destroy the lives of people like James O'Keefe. I believe Americans are no longer falling for this, and they will in time discover how deeply Obama's connection with ACORN goes and just how corrupt the Alinsky community organizers are. Andrew Breitbart is correct, the days of kill the messenger are over. O'Keefe is an American hero.

When you watch this video, think back to a couple days ago when Barack Obama himself said good journalism is "critical to the health of our democracy." And then went on to say, "I am concerned that if the direction of the news is all blogosphere, all opinions, with no serious fact-checking, no serious attempts to put stories in context, that what you will end up getting is people shouting at each other across the void but not a lot of mutual understanding."

It's no wonder Obama wants this new citizen journalism gone. Citizen journalism killed ACORN, and we aren't going to let it get another dime of our money if we can help it. In time, we will also bring down Obama by connecting him to the corruption. It's only a matter of time.

Breigbart discusses how the O'Keefe plan became successful at Big Government, "Planting the Seeds: The Politicized Art Behind the ACORN Plan."

When filmmaker and provocateur James O’Keefe came to my office to show me the video of him and his friend, Hannah Giles, going to the Baltimore offices of ACORN – the nation’s foremost “community organizers” – dressed as a pimp and a prostitute and asking for – and getting – help for various illegal activities, he sought my advice. In the past, Mr. O’Keefe created brilliant social satire that rocked his college campus and even made its way on to the talk-radio and cable-news shows, but the magnitude of his latest adventure had the potential to rock the political establishment.

I was awed by Mr. O’Keefe’s guts and amazed by the footage, but explained that the mainstream media would try to kill this important and illuminating expose about a corrupt and criminal political racket, and that the well-funded political left would go into “war room” mode, with 25-year-old Mr. O’Keefe and 20-year-old cohort Miss Giles in the cross hairs. I felt I had a moral obligation to protect these young muckrakers from the left and from the media, and to devise a strategy that would force the media’s hand.

Once the American public saw with its own eyes the grotesque, common practices of ACORN’s housing offices, Mr. O’Keefe and Miss Giles could no longer be a legitimate focus of media scrutiny. Kill the messenger doesn’t work with the American people when they realize that the message is so devastating and honest. I think the video exposed the misuse of public funds and systemic manipulation of the tax code in the name of “helping the poor.”

If Mr. O’Keefe dumped the videos on YouTube, the political powers would have killed the expose before it got traction. I half-joked that he should secretly tape pitching the major television networks exclusive use of his videos for their nightly news broadcasts. But a simpler, less controversial method proved as fruitful.

I told him that in addition to launching his compelling and stylized Web videos, we needed to offer the full transcripts and audio to the public in the name of transparency, and to offer Fox News the full footage of each video before each was released.

We had to devise a plan that would force the media to see the evidence before they had enough time to destroy these two idealistic 20-something truth seekers. Mr. O’Keefe agreed to post the full audio and full transcript of his video experiences at BigGovernment.com. Thus was born a multimedia, multiplatform strategy designed to force the reluctant hands of ABC, CBS, NBC, the New York Times and The Washington Post.

ACORN Poetry

I don’t know if this follows any poetic discipline. I don’t think it matters. I like it, and I never enjoyed trying to follow a discipline anyway. You know, how many beats in the first line?

This appeared in the Springfield News Leader today:

From a small ACORN a giant oak grows,

how deep the roots no one knows.

How deep in the mud tall stately limbs lay,

from a perfect political storm now coming our way.

- Frank McMahon, Sr. , Branson

My guess is Mr. McMahon thinks a certain president will be discovered as part of the deep roots.

Obama Speaks in Front of UN on Global Warming as Colorado Receives Summer Snow

Technically it’s still summer. The equinox hits around 5:13 eastern time today. It’s been cold over the last month in parts of the country, and on the last full day of summer, it was snowing in Colorado and Wyoming.

Guess where Barack Obama is. He’s in front of the corrupt gathering of international crooks known as the United Nation discussing global warming. Global warming, the United Nation’s scheme to rob the west of their wealth and leadership in the world and redistribute it to other nations that don’t deserve it, and currently Obama is all smiles as he lies without considering the thousands of scientists who are running from man-made global warming as a serious science—it’s a politically motivated science.

I wonder how much money he will promise these crooks in New York today.

Obama's Dereliction of Duty: Unqualified to Lead

“This is a dangerous world,” Bush said about Obama, which has come out in a new book, “and this cat isn’t remotely qualified to handle it. This guy has no clue, I promise you.” Which is what we are discovering as continues to dance around a solution for Afghanistan as American generals are urgently asking for more troops or we will fail. Obama claims he wants to take time to make the right decision as he continued his media blitz finishing it on The Late Show with David Letterman last night. For Obama, the presidency seems like a Hollywood stage rather than a dangerous we all know it is. He continues to take refuge in the stars as generals in the country beg him to win this war as the situation worsens.

Obama’s dereliction of duty is clearest in Afghanistan. Obama said last week he wants to make sure he takes the time to make the right decision. Think of all the time that has ticked by during all of his trips, his dates, the White House parties, vacations, and of course the television studios. American casualties are on the rise, and Obama thinks he has time. We are going to lose the progress we have made against global terrorism, and Obama is too busy smiling on TV laughing about heart-shaped potatoes. Where’s the outrage from Keith Olbermann? And I am not even touching on Obama’s dedication to the golf course.

The Department of Defense sent a report to Obama on Afghanistan over a month ago, and where is he? He’s staying in a $7,000 a night hotel in New York, playing pick-up basketball games, and sharing a laugh with David Letterman. Remember how Obama attacked Bush and McCain during the campaign for leadership. This is leadership Mr Obama? I think it looks more like recess at any elementary playground

The situation is labeled urgent, yet look how Obama has prioritized his schedule. An unpopular healthcare reform plan that now has nearly a 60% disapproval rate is more important than saving American lives. I need to choose my words very carefully because I have a cornucopia of anger going on with the Obama agenda. What is Obama’s goal in Afghanistan? He hasn’t put any effort into it, he has ended the language of the war on terrorism, he has divided intelligence agencies in the United States against terrorism, he continues to bomb Pakistan against the will of the Pakistanis, and he won’t make a decision and the requests of American generals to put a winning policy in place in Afghanistan with the needed resourced needed for the mission. Going on David Letterman isn’t getting American troops any closer to home. When are we going to knock Obama off his rock star stage. I am tired of seeing American troops die while Obama continues to pretend the presidency is something it’s not—a source of entertainment through televisions interviews and campaign speeches.

Obama is in real trouble, and it’s time he realize what his duties as president are and what they are not. He claims he is a Constitutional scholar; yet I don’t see him complying to the duties. We can’t afford for the forces in Afghanistan to win. We can’t afford for the progress made in Iraq to be reversed. We can’t afford for Obama not to take these things seriously as he continues to play big star everywhere he goes. It’s funny, people who live closer to the threat, like the Polish don’t see these rock star qualities as complementary to Obama’s leadership qualities.

The real stars of this country are fighting for our freedoms and they were uniforms and carry guns. They are in danger, and the leaders in the military are worried about their failure. Now is not the time to discover what David Letterman thinks about socialized medicine Mr. Obama. It’s time to lead. I for one don’t want to see Obama in real trouble when it comes to the safety of this country, but Obama’s dereliction of duty puts everyone of us in danger.

Al Gore in "Neverland": Just a Big Boob

A new book on the Clinton Gore years will soon hit the shelves. It looks to paint Al Gore as the boob we always knew he was. During the Clinton corruption, Gore went to Clinton on occasions to claim he was traumatized by being connected to Clinton's corruption, including fundraising scandals involving the Chinese.

Clinton told the author, ""I thought he was in Neverland." Well, wasn't that proven with the movie Al Gore released a few years ago? That might make for a good t-shirt idea.

Gore, obviously looking at the bigger picture at the time, didn't have any problems with the corruption that was coming out about Clinton during the 1992 campaign, in which Gore accepted a ride on the ticket into the Vice President's mansion. It was only when Gore saw Clinton as dead weight that he cared, proving once again most of these politicians are slimy worms.

Gore also blames Clinton for his failed run at the White House. From USA
Today:

In this same conversation, Gore pressed Clinton for an explanation of his
affair with Lewinsky, noting that Gore had stood by him throughout the ordeal
without Clinton ever confiding in him. There was little to say, Clinton replied.
But Clinton did say that he was sorry. Gore responded that that this was the
first time Clinton had apologized to him personally. This angered Clinton, who
countered that he was only repeating what he had already said publicly.
Moreover, Clinton noted, Hillary had more to resent that Gore did, and she had
just campaigned successfully for Senate by unabashedly citing the Clinton-Gore
record—not running away from it. Gore responded with his own anger, insisting
that Clinton's character had been at the root of his failure to win the White
House. Clinton acknowledged that he had not confessed to those closest to him,
but that he was glad he had not talked more about the affair, for that would
have made the controversy even worse.

Once again, when Clinton benefited Gore, Gore was there, but when Gore is a failure he quickly points to Clinton. It's safe to say, Gore wouldn't be where he is today, a Nobel Prize winner for junk science and rich off the fraud of carbon credits through pushing his own global warming agenda if it wasn't for Clinton moving him to the spot light, and look how unappreciative Gore is. He is a big boob!

Getting off Gore to end this, since Jimmy Carter is in the news with his mouth wide open, Clinton is right about Carter. Listen to what he told author Taylor Branch about preparing for military strikes against Iraq and former President Jimmy Carter. "[Republican Senator Bob] Dole will support me," he told Branch. "Carter will probably criticize me. Carter always criticizes, but he doesn't have much positive to say." I concur.

I have found many of the books about Clinton interesting to read, although I admit I couldn't sit down and read his over self indulgent auto biography. I found the Dick Morris read good, and I might have to pick this one up.
