A Little Political Humor to End a Chaotic Political Month

Politicians are the only people in the world who create problems and then campaign against them.
Have you ever wondered, if both the Democrats and the Republicans are against deficits, WHY do we have deficits?
Have you ever wondered, if all the politicians are against inflation and high taxes, WHY do we have inflation and high taxes?
You and I don't propose a federal budget. The president does.
You and I don't have the Constitutional authority to vote on appropriations. The House of Representatives does.
You and I don't write the tax code, Congress does.
You and I don't set fiscal policy, Congress does.
You and I don't control monetary policy, the Federal Reserve Bank does.
One hundred senators, 435 congressmen, one president, and nine Supreme Court justices: 545 human beings out of the 300 million are directly, legally, morally, and individually responsible for the domestic problems that plague this country.
I excluded the members of the Federal Reserve Board because that problem was created by the Congress. In 1913, Congress delegated its Constitutional duty to provide a sound currency to a federally chartered, but private, central bank.
I excluded all the special interests and lobbyists for a sound reason. They have no legal authority. They have no ability to coerce a senator, a congressman, or a president to do one cotton-picking thing. I don't care if they offer a politician $1 million dollars in cash.
The politician has the power to accept or reject it. No matter what the lobbyist promises, it is the legislator's responsibility to determine how he votes.
Those 545 human beings spend much of their energy convincing you that what they did is not their fault. They cooperate in this common con regardless of party.
What separates a politician from a normal human being is an excessive amount of gall. No normal human being would have the gall of a Speaker, who stood up and criticized the President for creating deficits. The president can only propose a budget. He cannot force the Congress to accept it.
The Constitution, which is the supreme law of the land, gives sole responsibility to the House of Representatives for originating and approving appropriations and taxes.
She is the leader of the majority party.
She and fellow House members, not the president, can approve any budget they want. If the president vetoes it, they can pass it over his veto if they agree to.
It seems inconceivable to me that a nation of 300 million can not replace 545 people who stand convicted -- by present facts -- of incompetence and irresponsibility. I can't think of a single domestic problem that is not traceable directly to those 545 people. When you fully grasp the plain truth that 545 people exercise the power of the federal government, then it must follow that what exists is what they want to exist.
If the tax code is unfair, it's because they want it unfair.
If the budget is in the red, it's because they want it in the red .
If the Army & Marines are in IRAQ , it's because they want them in IRAQ
If they do not receive social security but are on an elite retirement plan not available to the people, it's because they want it that way.
There are no insoluble government problems.
Do not let these 545 people shift the blame to bureaucrats, whom they hire and whose jobs they can abolish; to lobbyists, whose gifts and advice they can reject; to regulators, to whom they give the power to regulate and from whom they can take this power. Above all, do not let them con you into the belief that there exists disembodied mystical forces like "the economy," "inflation," or "politics" that prevent them from doing what they take an oath to do.
Those 545 people, and they alone, are responsible.
They, and they alone, have the power.
They, and they alone, should be held accountable by the people who are their bosses.
Provided the voters have the gumption to manage their own employees.
We should vote all of them out of office and clean up their mess!
One Man, Many Taxes, 365 Days and the Ozzy Osbourne Family

I guess a lot of American Idol fans are happy Obama is out of the country, so their how isn't interrupted this weekend. I didn't realize American Idol was two hours long. I was waiting for the new Ozzy Osbourne show to come on, and American Idol went into the 8:00 hour. I need to laugh right now, and the Osbourne's look funny from what I have seen on the preview.
Ozzy used to scare me. I remember when Blizzard of Oz came out in 1980 and he played Springfield's Hammon Student Center. I had bad dreams my parents made me go see Ozzy, and he was scary. Plus people were doing drugs everywhere. Turns out, he's just a family guy. Not your average Fred Flintstone or anything, but the Prince of Darkness actually showed up to PTA meetings. That would have been fun to watch.
Here we are at the end of the quarter. Nearly $5000 of my money has been taken from me in one form of tax or another. Imagine how good the economy would be if we were allowed to keep half of that. The surprising number is how quick sales tax adds up. If you remember right, there was a huge controversy in Springfield, Missouri over the city's mismanagement of police and firemen pensions. They put a sales increase on the ballot which was defeated. Coincidentally, the city came up with some money from some unpaid taxes from AT&T which will probably help make up the mismanagement in funds. Look at the amount I have paid in sales tax alone.
Another Day, Another Democrat Nominee with Tax Issues: Kathleen Sebelius Cheated on her Taxes Too

Sebelius decided to correct three years of tax returns after she was nominated for the position. Sebelius explained to the Senate today the errors involved charitable giving, business expenses, and the sale of a home. Two of the three have tax cheat written all over them, but we expect this out of Obama nominees who will one day tell us we need to pay more for the massive spending increases currently taking place.
The Governor owed over $7,000 in taxes from returns dated 2005 to 2007. We have just come to expect this from Democrats--after all they are the party of the people--people referring to the people the enforce higher taxes on.
Remember, Kansas stopped paying refunds because of the lack of money in the state treasury under her watch.
DeAunta Farrow Imitation Firearms Act: Arkansas State House Bans Sales of Realistic Toy Guns
The bill, sponsored by Representative Fred Allen, passed 55-38. The bill actually failed the day before, but Allen requested a revote once other members were present.
The DeAunta Farrow Imitation Firearms Act is another one of those bills with good intentions, but bad results. This will lead to further indoctrination that guns are evil, when in fact, guns protect the freedoms and liberties we are given in this country. Allen introduced the bill after West Memphis police fatally shot a young boy who held up a toy gun. I am sure the officers are under a great amount of guilty, but I question if they acted properly. I haven't seen any video of the incident, so I don't wish to pass much judgement on the officers. There is clearly a difference in the cheap plastic of a toy gun and the polymer and metal of a real gun. There is also a difference in sizes. I believe this is the wrong approach and further stigmatizes guns in the United States. There has been too much of that recently between law enforcement reports and Secretary of State Bill's wife heading down to Mexico blaming American guns for Mexican violence.

- Page Eleven Figure Nine: Obama's Budget Scream Socialism: Obama's budget took a few pointers from Karl Marx. Attack the achievers and forget they provide jobs, benefits, and drive the economy. If you have any doubts of Obama's intentions to turn the United States into a socialist country, look no further that Page Eleven Figure Nine and read pages five and 11 as well.
- HR1388: Embraced by Both Republicans and Democrats: Obama is a master of language. He constantly plays word games to drive his rhetoric. Republicans supported HR1388 because of it's language geared towards community service. When you are forced to volunteer, it's not really volunteering. Is it? HR1388 may be the draft for Obama's civilian military he promised to build during the 2008 campaign.
- Is Your Bumper Sticker Labeling You a Domestic Terrorist: Bumper Sticker Profiling in the State of Missouri: This was the blog that posted before the national news reported it. This was also the blog that generated my first blog-related television interview. I always envied Bob McCarty's blog for the exposure he gets, and I got a little taste of it. By the way, this was Governor Jay Nixon's attack on conservatism as he tried to associate conservatives and libertarians as domestic terrorist.
- The Modern Militia Movement Report: Actual Copy: After making several calls to Missouri law enforcement offices including Troop D of the Missouri Highway Patrol, I finally found a legitimate copy of the MAIC report. As you can see, the report drove lots of interest to my site as we had nearly 20,000 hits this month many directed towards the report.
- New Hampshire HCR-6 Demands Return of Power to New Hampshire Based on Jeffersonian/Constitutional Principles: There was disappointment around the country, not just New Hampshire as HCR-6 was defeated in the New Hampshire State House. How could they defeat a bill that was based on the Constitution is beyond me. So much for Live Free or Die.
- Two Teachers Having Sex With Same Student: Linda Nef and Valynne Bowers Arrested For Relationship: What's it going to take to rid the public schools from teachers who obviously lack the maturity to teach. Parental involvement is what it will take.
- Obama Gets Twittered: Young Business Leaders Share Ideas with Dear Leader on the Economy: Obama held a young business leaders summit at the White House. Invited was the CEO of Twitter who failed to create an actual business plan that produced profit. Twitter now looks to profit from its site in the future, but as of now, the only thing Twitter is successful at is hits. Come back when you show a profit.
- Saul Alinsky's Rules For Radicals At Play Against AIG: Obama's Mastered Rules #10 and #12 to Create AIG Hate: If there is one word to describe Obama's governing style, it's chaos. If you look close enough into the chaos, you will see Obama follows Alinsky's Rules For Radicals. If you look long enough, you begin to cite which rules are in play. They were quite evident in the attacks against the AIG bonuses.

Barney Frank and the House Financial Services Committee is looking at a possible bill that would impose government control over the pay of all employees in the United States whose company receives federal capital investment dollars. No longer would you be able to receive a pay based on your merit. No longer would you be able to negotiate raises. If Frank has his way, the federal government will approve what you are paid for your work. If you don’t believe we are moving towards communism, consider this collective idea in which a strong central government rates the collective not the individual. The act work impose wage controls over any company that has received capital investment from the United States government.
This is directed at AIG initially, but consider most companies start under federal small business loans, and it’s not hard to see that many of us will be affected by this bill. At one time or another most companies look to the federal government for help whether it’s to get started, expand, or as in AIG, for a bailout. I would avoid the latter at all cost.
Netanyahu Issues Warning to Obama: Take Care of Iran or We Will
Benjamin Netanyahu issued a warning to Dear Leader Obama today, either do something about Iran or we will take care of the problem. As Iran gets closer to developing nuclear weapons, Obama has shown little interest in stopping the Iranian regime from furthering their desire for nukes. Netanyahu will demonstrate what a real leader in this world looks like. He knows Israel is a target for any Iranian nuclear warhead. Like Sean Hannity, I agree. Obama is a coward when it comes to foreign policy, and his policy on Iran is dangerous. Radical Islamic states with nuclear capabilities isn’t healthy for a crazy world. Why Obama and the libs overlook this simple fact is beyond me.
General Motors Total Confidence Plan: How Does a Cash Strapped Company Promise to Pay Car Payments for the Unemployed?
General Motors announced their Total Confidence program, which mirrors Ford’s program which makes your car payment if you lose your job. General Motors program is more conservative than Ford’s program, since it offers only nine months of payments up to $500 upon job loss. Ford’s program pays 12 months up to $700.
My question is the obvious. If General Motors is under such dire stress with so many doubts of their survival, how are they funding this program? Unemployment numbers are rising, and this seems like a dangerous plan to generate sells. Of course, Ford raised the stakes, but General Motors appears to be committing financial suicide. But are they?
Of course not! They are backed by the United States government who robs from you and me to pay for Peggy Joseph’s and other’s new car after they lose their jobs. Remember, my blog yesterday about Obama’s staging all of this to prevent calling it a bailout? There are still many billions of dollars being fed to GM and Chrysler under the table without the bailout stigma attached to them. Make no mistake, they are receiving more and more bailout money in order to please the UAW contingent. US taxpayers are paying for GM’s Total Confidence Program. I honestly would have a hard time ever buying another GM product.

Barney Frank has been promoted after the US Government’s hostile takeover of GM. Frank will now be in charge of the Lubrication Department at Government Motors. Frank has a solid resume experimenting with specialty lubes of all sorts and brands and specializes in lube jobs, so CEObama is confident the lube department will be in good hands.

There was a scene in American Carol in which George C. Patton played by Kelsey Grammer tells Michael Monroe, played by Chris Farley's brother Keven, what it means to be an American. I felt tears during that scene it what was a comedy attacking the left. I am damn proud to be an American. I hate seeing my country possibly coming to an end because our President and Congress no longer wish to play by the rules of the Constitution. We all should shed tears for that.
I hate MSNBC. They are a disgraceful network. They have no understanding what American Patriotism is about, and their ratings show how disgusted we are with the news department at NBC. These morons are obviously to dense to get it. There is a reason Fox is number one and MSNBC fails to draw viewers except to laugh at Keith Olbermann. They should be ashamed they laughed at Glen Beck. They laughed at many Americans when they laughed at him.

I am baffled by what I see taking place in my country. I never thought I would see the day where a sitting President basically fires a CEO of a major corporation. Nobody is talking impeachment. Why? Obama continues to thrash the Constitution, and everybody sits back and waits for the next tea party to exclaim they are mad. Really? What are you going to do besides throw some tea in the drink? We are 69 days into the Obama administration, and our country is seeing radical changes which if we don't act, we may never find our way out of. To think, we haven't seen any Obama tax increases yet, but they are coming. They will paralyze you to become further dependent on the government. It's a crime to be an individual in Barack's America. It's about the collective. I refuse to live under Obama's socialist hammer and sickle.
There were plenty of warnings during the election from Obama's radical friends like Bill Ayers, Obama's radical influences like Saul Alinsky, and Obama's Communist mentor Frank Marshall Davis. So many chose to tune these things out and screamed Yes We Can above them. You are going to get your 'we' but it will be far away from Obama the tyrant. I have a new slogan you may want to consider before your liberty and freedom is consumed by Obama's Marxist beliefs.
In the immortal words of Patrick Henry, "give me liberty or give me death." I have lost my patience watching Obama basically take over GM today. It's time each American starts standing up for what the believe in. I know a majority of Americans don't believe in socialism, nor do they want to live under it. Once Obama's taxes kick in, it may be too late as your money will be consumed providing you with less freedom and movement.
I Wonder if Nancy Pelosi Understands the Fear a Washington County, Wisconsin Family Faced Before they Died on Their way to Church
I can't help but recall Pelosi's ignorance as I discovered a Wisconsin family on their way to church yesterday were killed by an illegal alien driving a landscaping truck in Washington county. Karl Ziebart and two children, Luke 9 and a 12-year-old girl from another family were killed when they swerved to miss a flatbed truck driven by two illegals. Ziebart's wife, Denise, was in critical condition and needed surgery after the wreck.
Guess what, the Washington County Sheriff's office is protecting the identity of the two men. In fact, I wouldn't even know they were illegals if I hadn't listened to Mark Belling on 1130 WISN Milwaukee today. The newspaper report had this little paragraph to describe the men.
The truck's driver and his two passengers - ages 30 and 31, both of Milwaukee - were detained on suspicion of being in the country illegally, according to the Sheriff's Department. They are in custody at the Washington County Jail.
I send my sympathy to the family. I hate to politicize this, but this continues to happen over and over again. How much is enough? How many Americans must die because Pelosi and the Democrats want to pander to illegal aliens in hopes to remain in power and build another minority base to offer welfare benefits to while making sure they advance little in order to keep them dependent on the government? Far too many American families share this similar story, and I have had enough. Justice would be Pelosi's car facing these cicumstances--not a hard working American family.

Obama came just short of demonstrating what a hostile corporate takeover looks like under his Marxist beliefs. He came short, because he put on a short one-act play creating the illusion GM is still a private company. Anyone with just a little common sense should now realize the government runs General Motors. Call it what it really is, Government Motors. The President of the United States forced a CEO out of his position, and nowhere in the Constitution did the forefathers provide such power. In fact, they would have revolted against such tyranny. As if I woke up in a bad nightmare, our government did just that forcing Rick Wagoner out of GM. I would defend Wagoner, but obviously he went down without a fight. There's nothing to defend with his lack of courage. What happened to true American patriotism? Surely we haven't bought into the Joe Biden version--grow the government bigger, bend over, and pay the collector. Wagoner betrayed his capitalist and our political and economic philosophies when he stepped down rather than lift his middle finger to Obama.
Years from now, we may look at the one single event that drove American capitalism to its death, and Rick Wagoner will be known as the coward--void of the spirit that made him millions and provided him the American dream. Obama is now a tyrant. With each win, he grows more powerful because the power instantly goes to Obama's head. Now that HR1388 will be the law of the land, Obama will form his civilian military force he promised during the election and build more power. No, I can't blame all of this on Wagoner, but he had the opportunity to stand up to Obama and challenge his power, and he failed. Surely, Wagoner knew in the back of his head, Obama won't let the union's love for him die by killing off GM.
Of course, there is the other issue which continues to develop that Obama has obviously forgotten which Jefferson and the other forefathers delegated to the executive branch. He is to provide a common defense for the United States and perform the duties of Commander and Chief.
Lieutenant Governor Peter Kinder's Press Release on the Modern Militia Movement Report (From the Springfield News-Leader Voices 3/30/09)
On March 20, reporters broke the astonishing news that a report from the Missouri Department of Public Safety was distributed to law enforcement across our state that depicted Christians, anti-abortionists, advocates for protecting our borders and supporters of certain political candidates as potential "threats" to public safety.
The report was developed by the Missouri Information Analysis Center (MIAC) and was entitled, "The Modern Militia Movement."
By title alone, the imagination conjures up images of commando renegades on remote outposts in secluded mountainous terrain. However, while this "Modern Militia" report did touch on such radical ideologies, the groups purported to be "threats" were supporters of such political candidates as Bob Barr and Ron Paul.
There are certainly individual extremists in many religious and political groups (both conservative and liberal), but Gov. Jay Nixon and Director of Public Safety John Britt have created a dangerous precedent of profiling lawful citizens as threats to public safety simply based on their political or religious beliefs.
On Tuesday, Gov. Nixon and Director Britt said they stood by the content of the report, while both said they hadn't read it. Then, on Wednesday, Col. Jim Keathley of the Missouri State Highway Patrol issued a statement saying the review process for future MIAC memos would be changed.
Shame on Gov. Nixon and Director Britt for making a noble public servant and iconic law enforcement leader like my friend Colonel Keathley take the fall for their bureaucratic and political failures.
Colonel Keathley, the men and women of the Missouri State Highway Patrol and law enforcement across this state put their lives on the line each and every day to keep our communities safe. We should honor these everyday heroes for their sacrifices and never allow them to be used in a political ploy.
By Thursday, as conservatives across this state made their voices heard, Gov. Nixon decided to pass the blame to the previous administration. This is unacceptable.
I am calling for Gov. Nixon to place Director Britt on administrative leave pending a full investigation and accounting of acts of profiling under his supervision at MIAC.
All Missourians should rest assured that we are protected by the freedoms of our constitution and should never have to fear being monitored by their government based upon a person's race, place of birth, political beliefs or their spiritual convictions. Unfortunately, that confidence was shaken by the governor. Gov. Nixon remains ultimately responsible for his administration. Gov. Nixon should fully answer and apologize for what has been allowed to occur on his watch.
Former Governor Matt Blunt Fires Back at Disgraceful Governor Jay Nixon's Charges Over MIAC Modern Militia Movement Report
Former Governor Matt Blunt responded today after Governor Jay Nixon accused him of being responsible for the Modern Militia Movement Report.
"I certainly do not plan on responding to every false charge or false news report," the former Governor began, "but recent assertions regarding the offensive MIAC report warrants a response."
"Let me be clear about the recent, offensive MIAC report that profiled Missourians that hold conservative political views," Blunt said, in a statement e-mailed by spokesperson Rich Chrismer. "While I did create the Missouri Information Analysis Center to act as a fusion center to gather and disseminate tactical intelligence about specific crimes, I did not create the MIAC to profile citizens based upon political views - liberal or conservative. To my knowledge MIAC never issued anything similar to the recent report while I was governor. If they had, I would not have defended it. I would have taken corrective action immediately and certainly held those responsible, accountable for their actions," Blunt added.
"The assertion that I am somehow responsible for an offensive report that was issued more than a month after I left office and that profiles conservatives is so absurd that one would not think it requires a response from me, but evidently it does," Blunt enclosed.
Obama's Auto Bailout, Act II: It's No Longer Called a Bailout
I am a little suspicious about CEObama’s theater today in Washington. Yeah, he was tough on GM’s CEO and the masses probably cheer. They are ignorant to what’s going on or even who Rick Wagoner is. He started off at the bottom and put hours in to work his way to the top. Of course you will never hear about that. Obama and the media want to portray him as another undeserving, overpaid CEO.
CEObama told both GM and Chrysler no deal on their current plans they presented. Many Americans believe Obama put an end to endless bailouts today, of course that’s what Obama wants them to think. There are still billions of taxpayer dollars pumped into these companies to keep them breathing while they go off and reinvent themselves to Obama’s liking. Yes we can, yells the masses. Yes we can teach these CEOs a lesson. The only lesson taught today wasn’t about economic stability. The lesson taught today is one of manufacturing.
You see, GM and Chrysler still want to produce cars people want to drive. They want their big HEMIs and not a couple of squirrels under the hood. Until both these manufacturers build tiny, unsafe boxes, they will continue to be sent back to Detroit to draft another plan, even though Obama uses tough language. This is all a show to further demonize capitalism.
Obama won’t risk upsetting the UAW, no matter how hard he talks. He has to continue the class envy rhetoric, and Wagoner is a victim of that. He didn’t want to play by Obama’s rules, although he made concessions. Now Obama, whose power has obviously gone to his head, demands Wagoner to step down. I have searched the Constitution all day long, and I can’t find anywhere in Article II where the President has the power to fire a CEO. This is theater at its best, while also clearly a violation of the Constitution. Let’s not forget the most basic fact. Obama successfully pulled off another lie today. They will never label the remaining money as bailouts. The word bailout is unpopular and continues to send Obama’s numbers crashing. Obama loves word games, and this is nothing more than another Obama word game as billions are slipped into the hands of GM and Chrysler as they surrender power.

The New GM with Warranties Backed by the Federal Government: Government Motor's CEObama Announces Health Care Plan for Cars

I can’t help but assume this will give us a good peak at how the Obama health care plan operates. In a way, Obama’s comments set up nationalized health care for cars, well, a specific brand of cars, the newly formed Government Motors or GM for short. As the interior of your Chevy Cobalt warps in the sun and the trim comes unglued, a government thug (probably a member of the UAW who will force you to vote for a union in your place of employment to receive service) will ration the health care for your car. They will look up the Kelly Blue Book value and present a limited plan of what they will be willing to do to fix your problem.

New Tobacco Taxes Set to Kill Another Industry and Put More Americans Out of Work
On Wednesday, the government’s new taxes on tobacco take effect. I am not a smoker, but I think these taxes are unfair and will put Americans out of work. While the average tax of manufactured cigarettes probably won’t alarm you, pipe smokers and roll-your-own smokers will take the largest hit—so large it may kill those industries. The new tax structure for tobacco is as follows:
- Cigarette taxes will increase from .39 a pack to $1.01 per pack.
- The new cigarette taxes will add $8.10 on a carton.
- A bag of loose tobacco for pipe smokers and roll-your-own smokers will increase from $1.10 per pound to $24.78 per pound.
- New York State is also proposing a 4% increase on tobacco products.
I am not a smoker, like I said earlier, but there are many farmers in the Carolinas and employees who process and manufacture tobacco products that will take the hit when they lose their jobs and livelihood from this tax increase. Watch the unemployment numbers go up in these states after these taxes are imposed.
What will the taxes fund? More socialism! They are raising the taxes to fund more children’s health care programs. It’s always for the children isn’t it?
You marijuana smokers that sent your legalization questions to Obama last week in hopes the government legalizes marijuana and justify legalization through potential tax revenue for the federal government, look at the loose tobacco tax and tell me that doesn’t make you reconsider your wishes. It would be cheaper for you to continue down the road you are on or move to Amsterdam rather than let the United States government get further involved.

Obama said he gave each automaker one last chance to submit a plan. Neither pleased Washington enough. This is an interesting play on Obama's part. For the past two months, the unions have been running commercials strongly supporting Obama, and now he looks away from them by turning two UAW hot spots down for additional help.
If I had my bet, Obama's real intentions are to run these companies down to force a liquidation. At that time the government buys the liquidated assets and we then have a fully nationalized auto industry. The government can save billions if they wait.

One Man, Many Taxes, 365 Days: Day 87 & 88

Well, for the first time this year I missed a day of counting up my taxes. It wasn't my fault though. My computer automatically downloaded Windows Vista Service Pack 1, and I agreed to install it. When I woke up, all I had was the blue screen of death. I have spent much of today reloading my computer. What a pain! Of course, I didn't have everything backed up.
So since we are talking about computers, let's talk about Barack Obama's latest infringement on privacy. Remember when George W. Bush received flack about listening in on phone calls of suspected terrorist, well this next little bit will show Bush to be a saint when it comes to privacy. Obama is negotiating the ACTA Agreement. Here's how it works:
Let's say you book a flight. As you check into the airport and go through the thug station called Homeland Security, the government thugs that are already pushing the most attractive women aside to get some cheap kicks off of during a pat down, will now be allowed to go through your electronics including MP3 players, laptop computers, and cell phones looking for illegally downloaded files like music and movies.
This isn't just in the United States. Obama is working with leaders around the world to take away a little bit more of your privacy. You think the lines are long at the airport now, you haven't seen anything yet. The airport's holding facilities will be full. The Obama police state is coming. I can't imagine what his tax laws will consist of. I would imagine the community service police will report those who don't pay their fair share for government rewards.

Is an Assault Weapons Ban Unconstitutional

Hillary's Mexico Trip, Welfare Drug Users, and Law Abiding Second Amendment Advocates
The above picture (AP) shows a collection of confiscated weapons from Mexican violence surrounding the drug trade. Notice the grenades, fully automatic rifles, and rocket launchers. These aren't coming from American gun stores or Army surplus stores. Bill's wife misrepresents the truth to claim there's another problem with the Second Amendment.
Another story that headlined newspapers this week showed the efforts of eight states to drug test welfare recipients. If recipients failed drug tests they would be removed from the welfare roles. Guess which story received more criticism? I know I don't have to tell you.
While Bill's wife, the current Secretary of State, is in Mexico blaming the United States for its drug use that causes violence in Mexico, civil liberties groups were complaining about eight states that are moving to enforce drug laws in the United States.
If we are serious about lowing the drug use in this country, why is it coming at the expense of Second Amendment advocates? Shouldn't it come at the cost of those who break the law, buy the drugs, and use the drugs, especially when it's with taxpayer dollars. It seems to me the misuse of taxpayer dollars offended a lot of Senators and Representatives in Congress the week before when it involved capitalism. For some reason, those same people aren't upset by welfare recipients using taxpayers dollars to buy their drugs.
Militias are a Constitutional Responsibility of the People: Governor Jay Nixon's Efforts to Redefine Militia is Disgraceful
The word militia has been under attack in the state of Missouri after Governor Jay Nixon attacked the concept of militia in the Modern Militia Movement Report. The government has an interest in redefining militia to defeat the Second Amendment. They want to label domestic terrorist like The Cross, The Sword, and the Arm of the Lord and Timothy McVeigh and militia members, when in fact they are not what our forefathers considered militias. The MAIC report villainizes the word militia. It makes it sound as only crazy, hateful people subscribe to militia philosophies. The report went even further to attach third parties, Christianity, pro-life causes, state sovereignty, and a strong belief of the Constitution and the Federalist Papers as stereotypical behavior of militia members.
I wonder if Governor Nixon could tell me what Christian principle did McVeigh carry out the bombing of the Oklahoma Federal Building to? My religion doesn't tell us to bomb buildings, kill innocent life, or attack the government. In fact, it says give to Caesar what is Caesars, referring to taxes. Why would Governor Nixon and Missouri officials go as far as connecting these philosophies with radical domestic terrorists? The answer is simple, these philosophies keep individuals strong with the beliefs of freedom and liberty prescribed in our Constitution, and currently our government looks away from those beliefs. I can go back and cite this isn't just the Obama administration. George Bush admitted to walking away from some of these beliefs in his final days in office. Remember, it was Bush who signed the Veterans Disarmament Act.
A free people who hold the truths in the Declaration of Independence to be self-evident and understand the Federalist Papers and how the led to our Constitution will create resistance to major changes in political philosophies of the United States. If you change the language to turn the word militia to me domestic terrorist, you defeat the Second Amendment.
Let's look back in our history at the first Constitutional Convention. The original Constitution didn't provide the people with rights against an oppressive government, and many of the forefathers decided against ratifying the original document. It was only after the Bill of Rights was added that it was ratified. Those Bill of Rights are protections and responsibilities of a free people. Read the amendments:
- Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.
The report attacks aspects of the First Amendment, including flying flags, pro-life stance, support of political candidates, and Christianity. - A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.
Once again, we see our forefathers wisdom. In order to protect a free people from an oppressive government (think of our government today), it your responsibility to bear arms and form a militia to protect your rights to freedom and liberty. Without the right to bear arms, the oppressive government doesn't fear the peoples whose rights they infringe upon.) - No Soldier shall, in time of peace be quartered in any house, without the consent of the Owner, nor in time of war, but in a manner to be prescribed by law.
- The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.
- No person shall be held to answer for any capital, or otherwise infamous crime, unless on a presentment or indictment of a Grand Jury, except in cases arising in the land or naval forces, or in the Militia, when in actual service in time of War or public danger; nor shall any person be subject for the same offence to be twice put in jeopardy of life or limb; nor shall be compelled in any criminal case to be a witness against himself, nor be deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor shall private property be taken for public use, without just compensation.
- In all criminal prosecutions, the accused shall enjoy the right to a speedy and public trial, by an impartial jury of the State and district where in the crime shall have been committed, which district shall have been previously ascertained by law, and to be informed of the nature and cause
of the accusation; to be confronted with the witnesses against him; to have compulsory process for obtaining witnesses in his favor, and to have the Assistance of Counsel for his defense. - In suits at common law, where the value in controversy shall exceed twenty dollars, the right of trial by jury shall be preserved, and no fact tried by a jury, shall be otherwise re-examined in any court of the United States, than according to the rules of the common law.
- Excessive bail shall not be required, nor excessive fines imposed, nor cruel and unusual punishments inflicted.
- The enumeration in the Constitution, of certain rights, shall not be construed to deny or disparage others retained by the people.
- The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the states, are reserved to the states respectively, or to the people.
The MAIA report attacks those who stand for states' rights. Yet, our Bill of Rights gives the states sovereignty. How else can you look at the Modern Movement Militia Report as anything but an attack on the Bill of Rights?
I pay reverence to each of these Amendments. The most important of all ten is the Second Amendment. Without the Second Amendment, the other nine are just words without anything backing them--anything being force. They infringe upon the Second Amendment and they will take away the other nine--of course, in some ways they already have. Remember the story about Reverend Walter B Hoye who faces jail time for practicing the First Amendment in front of an abortion clinic?
Joe Biden likes to talk about patriotism and how it relates to people paying their fair share of taxes. Fair share in Biden's case is more than 50% of your income. Everywhere you look, you have politicians redefining American ideas for their political gain. I refuse to allow these play on words to go overlooked. Governor Nixon, who is running from the report, is guilty as all the rest of them of taking an American idea and demonizing it. He doesn't deserve a pass on this one, nor will he get it.
