Benjamin Netanyahu for Prime Minister: A Man Who Understands the Iranian Threat

It's obvious after two weeks of Obama the world needs real leadership. United States foreign policy already shows signs of taking a 180 degree turn which endangers Americans in every city. Fortunately enough for Americans, there is one man who is taking Iranian and terrorist threats seriously, Benjamin Netanyahu.

Netanyahu is running for Prime Minister of Israel. He promised today if elected, taking Iran out of the nuclear picture will be his first goal. Unlike Obama, Netanyahu knows Iran is the greatest danger to Israel and to all humanity as he said earlier today. He promised he will do everything it takes to see the threat of a nuclear Iran never comes to light. We need leadership like this in the United States. Thank God someone is willing to do something other than write a letter to Iran. We can't count on Obama disarming Iran, so my bet is on Netanyahu.

One Man, Many Taxes, 365 Days: Day 31

Screw Obama and his sacrifices which are really new taxes.

Linz from Average Abnormalities inspired tonight's tax blog. Obama and Democrats like Claire McCaskill hit CEOs and their bonuses hard this week. Americans need to change the way they think about this issue. The government does this to each and every one of us as we move up the tax brackets. They punish our achievements and send the message that we shouldn't be making as much as we do.

Let's use an example. Let’s say the tax rate increases at $60,000. The person whose taxable income $59,999 may be taxed at 13%. The person who makes a dollar more in taxable income has to pay 4% more. Tell me how this is fair? The person who made $59,999 actually takes home more than the person who makes $60,000. What's the message the government sends? You are making too much and now it’s time we penalize you. They treat us like CEOs too, it's just less obvious. Thanks Linz for the common sense!

Progressive tax rates are unfair in a country who claims all men are created equal.

Hallelujah Heard Screamed From Peggy Joseph's Home: Obama Will Soon Tell the Banks What to Charge for Mortgage Payments

Today, during Obama's weekly radio address, Obama promised to lower mortgage costs with another new plan that will revive the economy. (Notice a pattern here? If Obama thinks it, it will revive.) Of course, it was preceded by the words coming soon. It sounds like Obama needed to revive hope which seems to die more each day with thousands of job losses announced under his watch this week. No plans, just words Peggy.

My guess, much like Claire McCaskill is telling corporations what their CEOs will be paid, Obama will define mortgage rates in this country. I have a strange feeling a Faustian deal is coming. In order to provide lower mortgages, you either have to further lower the values of houses in the United States, putting more people upside down, or you extend payments another ten or 20 years. Either way, people lose.

If Obama enforces monthly mortgage requirements which drastically cut the payment rates, the banks will further suffer losses. Maybe that's the real plan to gain more control of the banks, as well possibly ending private property rights and willing property after you die. If you never own it because it's never paid off, and the government owns the banks, then private property becomes but a temporary lease from the government, which gives the government rights beyond what they have now over private property. All of this talk seems very scary to me.

The Top Blogs of January 2009: Bungalow Bill's Month in Review

It's Casey Kasem time to look at the most popular blogs on this site, so let's rank the top ten blogs for January 2009 and count them down. The following are the top-ten blogs for January 2009 from Bungalow Bill's Conservative Wisdom:

  1. The top blog of the month reached its most popular status through searches for Michelle Obama and new White House china. The blog doesn't celebrate Michelle, rather it points out the double standard between Michelle and Nancy Reagan. White House China and Michelle Obama's Inaugural Gown: Media Hypocrisy
  2. Continuing to gain interest of many Americans researching Barack Obama's ignorance, you have to ask why Obama is such a staunch supporter of abortion, Planned Parenthood, partial-birth abortions, and infanticide after reading Eugenics: What Even Obama Should Know About Planned Parenthood

  5. A good lesson for the conservative blogger to remember is if you are working on commentary post it before 12:00 noon (est). If not, Rush Limbaugh might take the wind from your sail. Always Post Your Blog Before Rush Limbaugh Comes On
  6. The Democrats turned the election for the Senate Seat in Minnesota ugly. Once they got their way, they got ugly. Minnesota Election Officials Frustrated by Norm Coleman's Requests
  7. Americans have forgotten pain is a part of life, and rather than be inconvenienced for a few months by a slow down in the economy, they demand their leaders to fix it now. 8. The following local blog describes a situation many school districts have forced upon their students. The longer this blog remains out there, the more clicks I receive from the area in which the school sits. Schools like Ozark High School put too much emphasis on athletics and find budget shortcoming for academics. To make up for the shortcomings, they are turning students into individual sales reps. 9. One of the top blogs at Western Front America as well as here, was a piece analyzing a recent interview of Bruce Springsteen's in which he pushes the idea Obama carried a huge burden to get where he is today. We debunk Springsteen's comments and go further introducing the idea Springsteen destroys his own songs of burden by claiming such rubbish. Crushing SUVs and Trucks to Spark Economy?: Leave it to the Democrats

Gateway Pundit reported earlier today the Democrats want to include in the stimulus a program which the government buys new cars and trucks that receive less than 18 mpg and crush them. Just when I think I have seen the height of stupidity in Democratic policies, the Democrats manage to top themselves. The same government that's going trillions more in debt wants to spend money to destroy new cars.

I shouldn't have to tell you how idiotic this is, but I know Tim DeChristopher and his liberal, moronic environmental friends cheer over this stupidity. For the rest of the United States, I advise you to look at your check stub, and notice all the taxes the government's taking out of your check so they can think up this stupidity. Then ask yourself if the Democrats can afford such an ignorant waste of money, then why do they fight a tax holiday. If they were serious about stimulus they would provide real tax relief which allows Americans the freedom to afford a new car; therefore, creating true stimulus. Why do the Democrats continue to slap us in the face?

Politicians like Claire McCaskill complain about CEO salaries; yet obviously, Claire and most of the Democrats lack critical thinking skills to understand to stimulate the economy money has to flow through the hands of CEOs, corporations, and small businesses and trickle throughout the economy. They accuse CEOs of running their companies through to the ground and then come up with this brilliance (brilliance used sarcastically). Smashing new SUVs is more environmental caca that sends tingles up DeChristopher's friends legs, while Americans lose their jobs. I hope everyone sees what HOPE has turned into since Obama and the Democrats gained power in Washington.

Mad Claire McCaskill Plays By Different Rules Than What She Prescribes

Yesterday, on the Senate floor, Claire McCaskill demanded private corporations pay their CEOs what Claire thinks they should be paid. That's right, Claire's power has gone to her head, and she now believes she should be telling corporations what they should pay their employees, specifically they shouldn't be making more than her boy crush, Barack, makes.

"I've been mad for a while," said McCaskill. "When we passed the initial half of the TARP money, [there were] rumors about bonuses, the fact that too many of these guys were holding onto the jobs even though they were running these companies into the ground. Reality didn't seem to be the order of the day."

Why is it that Claire and her Democrats can run this country into the ground receiving kickbacks from many of these same companies they complain about and she never once gets upset enough about it to say anything? I didn't read about Claire getting mad at Barney Frank and other Democrats for running Fannie and Freddie into the ground. McCaskill makes $174,000 as a US Senator, but that's small change compared to the kickbacks she has received from pro-abortion groups. According to Citizenlink.com, McCaskill has received nearly a million dollars from this lobbying group alone. You now other lobbyist, including lobbyist representing many of these corporations have probably put money in McCaskill's pocket sometime during her brief career, and I am working to make it brief, in the Senate.

It comes down to this. McCaskill gets to vote for her own pay increases. Recently, McCaskill and Congress agreed to raise Congressional expense accounts from $30,000 to $90,000 a year, and that's on top of their salaries and the lobbyist bonuses (kickbacks). The voters don't get a say in it, but McCaskill thinks she should have a say in what private corporations pay their employees. That's arrogance Claire, plain and simple. Knowing that you really don't have a say in Congressional pay raises, do you want members of Congress like Claire McCaskill having a say in what you make? Sure it might be CEOs today, but whose to say she won't take it further once the power goes to her head. One day she might be telling you that you are making too much. Think about that.

Obama, You Big Dummy!

With five words Obama raised conservatives from the dead in his first few days as President--don't listen to Rush Limbaugh. It's clear now, those words will haunt Obama. Timid Republicans and the base worried about how the world would view them if they rocked the boat. Had Obama kept his mouth shut, calm waters may have prevailed.

When Rules for Radicals was written, I doubt Saul Alinsky believed one day a President would be so obvious in following the rules. Even myself thought Rham Emannuel would execute the rules while Obama kept the peace. When Obama called out Limbaugh on the national audience, it was clear who wrote the script--Alinsky. It was Obama himself who ended his honeymoon.

Even though Obama's stimulus plan will pass, eyes are alerted to the truths it holds. Democrats scramble performing damage control, most notably the Move On.Org ad featuring Limbaugh and Obama. I honestly haven't seen the base this pumped up since 1993, when another stimulus plan containing midnight basketball alerted the public to Clinton's plans to spend, spend, spend. Republicans need to study 1993 and note the similarities. There is no change in Washington. It's like a rerun of Sanford and Sun, and the White House sits next to the legislation junk pile.

Even though we are going to lose many battles in Washington in the coming months, we have learned to fight again. I see fire in the bellies. Of course the race card is coming, but as long as Obama reaches into the lowest form of rhetoric, like he did when he singled out an American citizen named Rush, people will catch on faster than I anticipated. Mix that with their realization that Obama is just another big spending Democrat absent of hope and change, and the shortest honeymoon in Washington just flashed by our eyes. Obama has no one to blame but himself for exhibiting the rules for radicals so easily viewed on TV.

The IRS Hung Up On Me: Held at Gunpoint (And They Don't Want to Provide Me With the Information I Requested)

My last year's tax return played to the favor of the Internal Revenue Service and now I face their gun in a monthly letter reminding me of my payment agreement and the additional penalties and fees. After a few months of unemployment in 2007, my savings was dried up, and I was left with the option of a payment plan to pay them back for the taxes on my previous years work. It's been a frustrating year, which has opened my eyes even further to the evils of taxation in this country.

After the Timothy Geithner confirmation, I have more reason to be outraged by the direction of our country. For an entire year, I have watched how the penalties and interest add up, making it nearly impossible to pay back the IRS if you are on a payment plan. I have compared it to a maxed credit card.

Today, I decided I had enough. I called the IRS seeking information. I let the gentlmen know (didn't write down his number) I was outraged by the politicians in this country who feel they have the right to take more and more of my money, and that it's an insult that a man who didn't pay over $35,000 in taxes is demanding that I pay mine while tacking on interest and penalties. (In other words my taxes are being taxed.) The IRS obviously has a script for Geithner calls.

I asked for the most simple of information. I asked for the IRS to send me the actual law that says I am required to pay a tax on work. For years I have heard rumors the law doesn't exist. The gentlemen said he couldn't do that. I insisted, I wanted to see evidence of a law that shows I am required to pay a tax on my work. He placed me on hold, and Mozart played over my cell phone.

He came back without an answer. "Is there anything else I can do for you sir."

I said send me the information I requested. He wasn't receptive.

I asked him for his name and his control number so I could talk to his superior. He accused me of threatening him and told me it's not advisable to threaten the IRS. I told him it wasn't a threat, and I should have the right to see the information I requested. He hung up.

I called again. I didn't say anything about Geithner. I simply asked if they would send me information. The lady (Hill 0180438) was cooperative up until the point I specified the information that I wanted. She then acted like no one in the United States has ever called for this information, and she put me on hold--Mozart. I love Mozart, and the IRS isn't worthy of his genius.

When she returned, she notified me she was transferring me. Mozart again.

As I wait on hold, I've read many stories of former IRS agents who leave the IRS because of their unlawfulness. All of them claim that they couldn't produce the exact law I requested today. In fact, from many commercials I hear on the radio that fight the IRS and back taxes, their staffs include former IRS agents who fight the IRS for this reason.

The next lady answered (4319309). I was polite, and I asked her that I would like to see the written laws that says a resident of the United States is required to pay income taxes. She paused. I told her I would like to have the written law sent to my house for my examination. She laughed at me and placed me on hold. SHE LAUGHED AT ME! Mozart.

She got back on the phone. She told me I could go to the IRS Web site and basically search it on my time. The current tax code is millions of pages, and the IRS won't send me the most basic of tax laws. I am not asking for much. Why are they giving me the runaround? What are they hiding? The IRS may just be the greatest scam in the history of man.

Here's their number if you want to try: 800-829-8374. Good luck. Let me know if you come up with anything. Before you call, you may want to watch the following video: America: From Freedom to Fascism.

Big Green Profit Margin From Those Green Shopping Bags

Trying to make my eyes tired enough to slip in the dreamland, I surf into the far reaches of liberalism looking for themes for next week's blogs. As I visit 'one sheet of toilet paper' Sheryl Crow's blog, I am reminded of the phenomenon I noticed in most of the major department stores at the mall. Buy a reusable green bag for a $2 and go green.

What a genius idea for these stores to find a niche product that has a huge markup to make a profit from the green movement. As if recycling isn't enough, they now carry their own shopping bags into the stores with them. How much do you think the bags cost the stores? Twenty cents a piece at most? You know, Sheryl, they were probably sewed by a five-year-old Chinese kid in a sweat shop. I know the story's coming which cites these bags as one of Walmart's largest profit margin items. Of course it will be written that Walmart is evil for marking these things up so high. It's coming.

It's nice to see these big, 'evil' corporations beat the green environmentalist at their own games. Not only are the saving the overhead costs of the bags, but they found a way to do it by increasing their profits. Honestly, the bags aren't very big, which means if you are a true greenie, you will want to by several to meet your needs. Capitalism is a beautiful thing!

I'm good with this until I'm told that I will buy these green backs to save the earth. When that day comes, you will be lucky to get a dime from me.

Another Democrat and Obama Cabinet Nominee in Tax Trouble

Democrats love taxes, at least until they have to pay them. Tom Daschle's been cheating on his taxes, and if it wasn't for the nomination, he would still be cheating on his taxes. Daschle owes over $128,000 in taxes after he decide to correct some of his lies.

Daschle filed three amended tax returns after Obama chose him to head up the Department of health. Amended were his 2005, 2006, and 2007 returns. Apparently he was taking some money under the table with his consulting work and claiming more charitable deductions that what he actually made. He owes an additional $11,000 just in interest. Something tells me that's about to get waived just like Charlie Rangel's and Timothy Geithner.

I get so tired of these Dummycrats telling me I need to sacrifice, be patriotic, and whatever flowery term they can come up with to make me feel better about paying my taxes, only to continue to find out DEMOCRATS DON'T LIKE PAYING TAXES. THEY JUST LIKE FORCING EVERYONE ELSE TO PAY THEM.

The White House admitted to "some tax issues" surrounding Daschle, but they expect him to be confirmed. You can't even make this up anymore. He will soon be on his way to driving up our taxes through nationalizing health care. I suggest you call your Senator and tell them how disgusted you are by all these cabinet appointees not paying their taxes. I don't know how any American can trust the Obama administration with all these issues.

One Man, Many Taxes, 365 Days: Day 30

Screw Obama and his sacrifices which are really new taxes.

It's that time of the year. The W-2's sit on my desk. I've had to invest in TurboTax to figure my taxes, which seems like it should count as a tax within itself. You pay in taxes all year, and then you have to pay to file them. It may be as little as a postage stamp, but you are still paying to get your 1040 to the IRS. Tonight, I am going to start my taxes, hope my return pays my back taxes, and then continue watching The Lord of the Rings trilogy. Smeagol/Gollum is reflective of our government. There's a good side you want to like, but there's also the constant reminder of the bad side as well--my precious taxes.

They tax you to move-gas taxes, car taxes, drivers license fees, tags, title, etc.

Obama: CEO Bonuses ‘Shameful’ Part II

I commented briefly yesterday about the realities of government and CEO bonus pay. Obama called the $18.4 billion dollars in CEO bonuses ‘shameful.’ During the election and throughout the inauguration season, many of these companies or representatives of these companies made contributions to Dear Leader. Obama didn’t seem to mind when the money benefited him. (Companies can’t directly contribute to an election fund, but they can help fund the inauguration. Companies often contribute to campaigns through individual representatives of the company.)

Let's not stop with just Obama. Why doesn’t Obama go even further in shaming Congress and government officials who often seek the rewards of lobbyist from many of these same companies? You want to talk shameful. How many Representatives go to Washington as normal men and women and return richer than ever as they are paid a government salary? There are few who don’t. Trust me, they are not getting rich from their Congressional paychecks. Senator Claire McCaskill has received $986,619 in pro-abortion lobby bonuses since January of 2007. That's just one lobbying group, McCaskill accepts lobbying bonues from other groups as well. Where's your outrage Mr. Obama?

While Obama dines on $100 a pound Wagyu beef and pretends he is one of the CEO elites with a trillion dollars in his pocket to spend, he never once considers cutting his salary while Americans suffer. He allowed over four times more spent on his inauguration celebration than was spent George W. Bush’s inauguration—over $150 million. He still begs for money for the next campaign as Americans lose their jobs, which shows keeping his job is his priority. No one points out Obama’s arrogance while Obama creates more class warfare. We haven’t even mentioned Congress recently tripled their expense accounts. Mr. Obama, until you start living a life void of the extra luxuries in these hard times, you have no right to complain about CEOs. Their bonuses are the business of the corporations, the stockholders, and the CEOs. I don't see many differences between the officials in our government and these CEOs.

Blago Removed as Governor: I Wonder How Many Democrats are Nervous Today

The Illinois State Senate voted to remove Rod Blagojevich from office. I personally feel this was a witch hunt of an unpopular governor and power politics from the Madigan family (Mike and Lisa), and I am not sure he was given a fair trial. From what I heard, it sounds like Blago might be trying to take a few prominent politicians down with him--most notably Rahm Emannuel.

During Blago's 90 minutes on the Illinois State Senate floor, Blago accused Emannuel of coming up with the idea of selling the Senate seat. I doubt Blago goes away. He played his demise perfectly becoming a media darling. This week's media love affair with him will attract more interviews, and he has nothing to lose now. He lost everything as the state Senate removed him from office yesterday.

I haven't heard anything officially, but a book deal will probably come as well as more TV time. He wasn't afraid to name names as he delivered testimony yesterday, and he doesn't come across as the type to let it go. Democrats must be squirming knowing Rod's mouth is opening wider in the coming weeks. Apparently, Obama's faith in the media and their damage control of his administration prevented behind the scenes intervention of the impeachment trial. I have to wonder if they are kicking themselves for not making a deal behind the scenes to get him to shut up.

Blago understands Chicago politics. It will be interesting to watch what comes to light now since he has nothing to lose. America, you will soon know the real Obama, Chicago politician.

Obama Rooting for the Steelers: Here's Your Insensitive Hope and Change

Obama will be rooting for the Steelers on Sunday; although, he wishes the Cardinals the best. More fluff news, as the media ignores the truth. The stimulus will not work, and it's just pork. I am conditioned after eight years of watching the media treat George W. Bush one way to believe Obama comes across as insensitive to me.

People are suffering and many lost their jobs this week. The game should be the furthest thing on Dear Leader's mind. This is hope--hope the Steelers win as Americans receive their pink slips. I ordinarily wouldn't think like this. Blame the media. A couple nights ago, after thousands and thousands of layoffs, Obama served Wagyu beef at the White House--$100 a pound. They spent over $150 million for his inauguration while the homeless rate in America rises. Hey Keith Olbermann, is this hope? What will Obama be serving Sunday at the White House? Kobe beef and exotic poultry wings? Wanna bet it's the most expensive Super Bowl party in the history of the White House? Here's your sign.

One would think Peggy Joseph would be on Dear Leader's mind, but no. Obama's living an extravagant life off the taxpayers. He's providing no solutions, and the only change he's provided is the change of a suffocating big government. No matter what he does for the environment, Obama's made it harder to breathe.

It's Pay Day in America; Consider These Tax Facts When You Deposit Your Check

Is the federal income tax legal? It does appear in the Constitution as the 16th Amendment, but doubt has always surrounded whether the states legally ratified it. Whether it's legal or not, the United States through the IRS's gun enforces the amendment, robbing Americans of their hard earned pay. Is it moral to tax a man's work?

The federal tax code is complicated and burdensome. Some corporations claim their single greatest expense is managing the paperwork to appease the tax man. Of course, all these extra costs are transferred to the consumer in the higher costs of goods and services. It’s hard to realize freedom when you think about the evils of the 16th Amendment. It's easy to make the case the 16th Amendment violates many of the first ten amendments. As each year goes by and I gain more wisdom, I realize how much the government has taken from my quality of life.

"The power to tax involves the power to destroy." Chief Justice John Marshall

There's one truth when it comes to taxes. They always start small and they always promise to take a small amount. I came across an article in a left-wing rag known as The New Republic. According to the article, the average American family (husband, wife, and two kids) paid 2% of their total income in federal, state, and Social Security taxes in 1948. Today, that same family pays 6% of their total income up to just under $100,000 on just the Social Security tax. For tax year 2008, the highest tax bracket is 35%. The average American family pays between 15% to 25%. That’s quite a difference since 1948. Plus Americans now pay the Medicare tax, which didn't exist then.

Let's say you are an average American family taking in $65,500 in taxable income. The IRS gets 25%, Social Security gets another 6%, Medicare roughly 3%, and your state income tax, if you have one, varies. Let's estimate state taxes between 3% to 6%, and you see your income is reduced by nearly 40%. I remind you according to the New Republic the tax rate was 2% in 1948. If you follow One Man, Many Taxes, 365 Days, we haven't even covered all the rest of the taxes you are left paying after these four taxes come out of your check. I’m alarmed as I realize over 50% of my income is stolen by the government. Is this freedom?

When the federal government introduced the income tax in 1913, $4,000 in income received 1.5% tax rate. According to the Measuring Worth Web site, the estimated equivalent value of $4000 in 1913 is somewhere between $65,000 and $86,000 in 2009.--the difference in tax rate, 23.5%.

Why in the world would you ever vote for another tax increase? Do you really believe they don't get enough? Nearly every transaction we make includes a tax or two. Here's an alarming fact: the National Taxpayers Union claims taxes have increased 175,000% since the Federal Reserve got their way and began taxing American labor. It's no wonder our society is failing.

Mom has to go to work now to recover the losses suffered by our government's greed. It's tougher to afford family vacations and other family luxuries. Children don’t receive enough parent time, and morality in the United States suffers. Obviously, it's no wonder people have problems paying their mortgage. I think you could easily be make the argument the United States is far more prone to recessions since introducing the income tax.

These numbers should alarm you. It's clear our government is out of control with their spending and their thievery, but hey, it's Friday. Go out and enjoy what little you have left of your check.

Americans United for Change: Reminding Us Why We Should Vote Republican in 2010

Obama's pork filled stimulus plan will soon pass the Senate and become the law of the land. It won't take long after that for the dimmer Americans to realize the jobs and the stimulus aren't coming. The dimmest morons at Americans United for Change think this is a winning issue, and I say go for it. They are airing the ad in Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Nevada.

Their latest ad is titled Are You With Obama or Rush. Uh, let me think about that--RUSH! The ad reads as Limbaugh is once again taken out of context saying he hopes Obama fails:

“Every Republican member of the House chose to take Rush Limbaugh’s advice. Every Republican voted with Limbaugh — and against creating 4 million new American jobs. We can understand why a extreme partisan like Rush Limbaugh wants President Obama’s Jobs program to fail — but the members of Congress elected to represent the citizens in their districts? That’s another matter. Now the Obama plan goes to the Senate, and the question is: Will our Senator"—here the ad is tailored by state to name George Voinovich in Ohio, Arlen Specter in Pennsylvania, and John Ensign in Nevada—"side with Rush Limbaugh too?”

They better be voting against it. That's all I have to say.

Don't you just love these organizations. This crappy legislation of Obama's is going to pass, and either these morons don't understand that, or they have figured that it has no chance of working and they want the hands of Republicans dirty in Obama's mess. Once again I salute Republicans, and I think Republicans would choose the Rules for Radicals for their next commercial series, and show examples of Obama using the rules against private citizens like Limbaugh. It wasn't just Rush's voice that was heard, Congressional switchboards were jammed with citizens demanding Congress to vote against Obama's pork. Please don't leave us out of your commercial next time!

I am ready for the fight. Bring it on Move On.Org, Americans United for Change, and whatever whacked out left-wing group wants to waste their money on such a meaningless commercial. You are getting your meaningless stimulus, but Americans aren't going back to work anytime soon after you get it. We want you to remind the country the Republicans were smart enough to see through Obama's silly plan.

One Man, Many Taxes, 365 Days: Day 29

Screw Obama and his sacrifices which are really new taxes.

I learned a lot about the IRS today. They like to forgive high-profile government officials of penalties and interest while socking it to the working man. I contacted the IRS today to express my disgust with how easy Geithner got by, and I am stuck watching the penalties and interest add up. I don't find any of this funny. I can't charge them interest when they sit on my money from January 1st of the previous year until I file and they issue a refund for overpayment, but they sock it me when I underpay. I recommend everyone contact their Congressman and demand they pass John Carter's HR 735, the Rangel bill. I forgives all Americans who owe back taxes of their penalties and interest charges. The bill is named after Representative Charlie Rangel who skated easily away from his tax problems.

Don't you just love government officials who cheat on their taxes and get away with it?

Burned by Jay Nixon: Construction Projects on Hold at Missouri State, SEMO, Truman State, CMS

How things change in a week in the state of Missouri! Last week Governor Jay Nixon announced a plan to freeze tuition at state universities, community colleges, and vocational schools. In exchange Nixon promised not to cut funding. Today, Nixon cut funding to various construction projects including renovations to Siceluff Hall at Missouri Sate University.

I don't know what I find most disturbing about this--the fact that Nixon promised to increase welfare spending in his state of the state address and then two days later took productive workers off a job in a tough economy thanks to budget cuts (more blue collar love from a Democrat: ie. gotta get the white construction workers off the job) or that it appears he broke his promise to the Universities all to look good in front of students. Either way, I don't see too many reasons why Missourians should have confidence in Nixon.

Obama: CEO Bonuses 'Shameful'

Today, President Light Obama called the $18.4 billion dollars paid out in CEO bonuses ‘shameful,’ further evidence that Obama wants to further influence policy in the private sector. Obama strengthened his statement by saying the bonuses were “the height of irresponsibility.” Coincidentally, Obama made the comments with tax cheat Timothy Geithner by his side. Funny how he never calls out the irresponsibility of our government isn’t it?

Let’s look at this from a different perspective. I find it shameful the amount of taxes the government receives from these bonuses and Obama complains about them. What’s the old saying—never bite the hand that feeds you?. Who is Obama kidding? The IRS loves these tax returns; even though, many CEOs understand tax laws to pay the minimum, and good for them. If Obama is really offended over these bonuses, and this isn’t a dog and pony show, then why not make these bonuses tax free? Why would he want anything to do with the shameful money these CEOs received?

Obama, Frog Legs, and Environmentalism

Someone needs to pay attention during the MSN/MSNBC production meetings. Yesterday they featured a picture on the front page of Dear Leader Obama stuffing his face with frog legs to attract readers to a fluff piece about Obama and food. The picture was taken five months ago at Pier 32 in Hamilton, IN. Today, MSN Green, the left-wing environmental doom and gloom page, featured a story that worried about the survival of frogs.

Apparently the 11,000 tons of frog meat, of which Dear Leader Obama obviously enjoys, have scientists worried about the future of frogs. The largest destination for frog meat is France. The United States and the messiah's belly is second.

Unlike the polar bears, whose demise was blamed on George W. Bush, who I am willing to bet never ate a polar bear in his life, no blame goes to our frog eating executive. Of course, as you read through the demise of frogs, you figure out they will soon blame Bush as global warming (or is that global weirding after Al Gore's lackluster appearance yesterday) was considered a cause.

Yesterday, we saw the media treats Obama different than Bush, as our "highly superior intellectual" President tried to enter the Oval Office through a window. Today, we see another double standard as they fear frogs are moving close to extinction.

HR 735, The Rangel Rule: An Open Letter to the IRS and Congressman Roy Blunt

Let me give you some background, last year my tax return showed that I owed the IRS a couple thousand dollars when I filed. I was out of work for nearly five months at the end of the year, and it's left me with few options but a payment plan. For months, I have watched penalty and interest charges add up and the debt to the IRS barely move towards my favor.

As I listened to Rush Limbaugh today, he mentioned the Republicans are throwing it right back at the Democrats. As you know Timothy Geithner, our new Treasury Secretary and boss of the Internal Revenue Service, failed to pay nearly $50,000 in taxes. Before being confirmed Geithner paid what he owed without the penalties and interest. He's not the only politician to gain this favor. Representative Charlie Rangel also skated through back taxes issue and wasn't charged with penalties and interest.

John Carter of Texas introduced HR 735, known as the Rangel Rule. The Rangel Rule would forgive Americans of penalties and interest of their back taxes, and I say thank you. Please speak up and let Americans know John Carter is working for hard-working Americans!

I called the IRS during my lunch today. I was mad, and I wanted an answer why I have to watch my tax bill barely move. I spoke with Ribera (0314290). Like every other time I have called the IRS (watch for my blog on Saturday), they couldn't come up with an answer. He said the IRS will contact me in thirty days providing me with an answer, and I can write my Congressman as well. I typed the letter as I was on the phone.

Ribera did tell me I could apply to have the penalties removed. I asked him what I had to do. He said I just have to run your information through the computer and see if you're approved. He placed me on hold, and Mozart played over the phone as I waited for the answer.

He immediately came back and told me that the system allowed a $20.44 credit because I have been a good taxpayer. That's a title I don't want--good taxpayer. I started laughing--$20.44. You are kidding right? My interest and penalties continue. He thought I was rude for his effort. I told him I wasn't laughing at him directly, but I was laughing at the insult their computers delivered. Wow!

Here's the letter to Congressman Roy Blunt:

Dear Mr. Blunt,

It's been recently drawn to my attention of House Republicans are drawing up the Rangel Bill. Apparently both Charlie Rangel and Timothy Geithner are held to a different standard than me, who was unfortunate at the end of last tax year. I owed back taxes. I have suffered high interest charges and penalties as the balance never moves to my favor since then.

Why do these men get special treatment and aren't subjected to the same policies I am, yet I have to continue to work harder to pay last year's taxes? I am ashamed of what my country is moving towards and how Americans are servants of this country's taxation policies. Any advice or help you can give me to remove or avoid these charges like Rangel or Geithner received would be greatly appreciated. The economy is tough enough right now without having to worry about giving even more to our greedy politicians who don't want to balance the checkbook of the United States.

Thank you,

Clayton Bowler

Vladimir Putin's Free-Market Wisdom?: Bill Clinton Laughs and Celebrates Obama's Nationalization Plans

During yesterday's World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, Vladimir Putin warned too much government involvement in the world's economies could prove dangerous. Later in the day, Bill Clinton, laughed at Putin saying he hopes it works for him and cited it's a first for Putin to offer support for the free markets. Then Clinton praised Obama's first attempt at destroying our free markets. Has the world gone nuts?

Does Putin, who hasn't been a friend to many of the industries in Russia, believes this? Of course, Russia faces challenges in their economy, so his wisdom revolves around his own needs. He is right, though. Strong free-market economies even benefit Putin and Russia. Government involvement is dangerous, and Americans will soon pay the price of Obama's pork with a lengthened recession.

The New York Times Claims Predicting the Effectiveness of Obama's Stimulus as Difficult: It's Really Not

The New York Times writes the effectiveness of Obama's pork stimulus plan will be difficult to predict. Really, what's so hard to predict--bigger government, a faster rising national debt, and little stimulus? Obviously the mainstream liberal media hope they can dance around the lack of stimulus in the plan. Here's the reality that they won't tell you.

David M. Herszenhorn writes Americans will notices $12-$13 more in their weekly checks from the Obama tax cut. Gee, I think I'll look in possibly budgeting that new car now (sarcasm since it doesn't usually jump off your computer monitor.) Dear Leader loves us and wants to have $12 or $13 more of our hard work. Thank you Dear Leader.

What a joke! You call this a tax cut to stimulate the economy? I can go to Walmart and buy the mega pack of toilet paper now or add a few ears of overpriced corn, thanks to the government using food as fuel. No one is going to consider providing real stimulus to the economy because they have $12 more to spend. When gas prices start to rise in the middle of March, people won’t notice the $12 extra. Use your head Herzenhorn! You prove the press has no critical thinking skills.

Here's the kicker, while most Americans go off to work to save the economy, which is the real key to turning the economy around, Obama rewards those who don't. (This isn't an attack on those who recently lost their jobs.) People who collect unemployment receive $25 more a week. What an insult for people who go to work. You get more government stimulus if you don't go to work. Who is more likely to spend money to turn the economy around? People who are comfortable their jobs are safe, or those spending the minimal amount of money to survive? I feel like Bill Engvall--there's your sign.

For those who nurse welfare, they receive even more. They receive $79 more in food stamps. Once again the workingman gets screwed. Do you understand this union members, or do I need to spell it out to you that Obama isn't workingman friendly as you insist?

It breaks down to this. Those who work will see an average of $48 to $52 a month to spark the economy. If you don't work, you will receive $100 more a month in unemployment benefits. If you qualify for food stamps, you will get $79 more a month. I guess it pays in Obama's world not to go to work.

If any of these stupid Democrats who voted for Obama's pork stimulus understood anything about stimulating economy, they would have made deeper tax cuts and not force this country deeper into debt with more government. Surely Nancy Pelosi understands her grandchildren and her great grandchildren will hate her for the mess we leave them to pay. If the Democrats wanted to stimulate the economy, they would free us from the many taxes that restrict the economy and take money out of the private sector which is responsible for production. Really Herszenhorn, this isn't hard to predict.

Happy Birthday Oprah Winfrey

What do you send Oprah for her birthday? A case of Twinkies or a couple hams? Perhaps a full-size, solid Chocolate Obama (which happens to be on Claire McCaskill's wish list as well). She's 55 today. Let's be sure to honor the woman who politicized her show, and then claimed she didn't want to politicize her show.

The Postmaster General Has More Sense than Obama

While dimwitted chief executive Dear Leader Obama drives the deficit bigger and soon will be interviewing thousands of Americans for new government jobs, Post Master General Jack Potter recommended to Congress with current trends and deficits, the US Postal Service may need to cut service.

After years, of raising costs, the post office delivered 9 billion less items last year than the year before. Obviously, the postal service is becoming a dinosaur as companies use e-mail to deliver what used to come in an envelope.

"It is possible that the cost of six-day delivery may simply prove to be unaffordable," Potter said. "I reluctantly request that Congress remove the annual appropriation bill rider, first added in 1983, that requires the Postal Service to deliver mail six days each week. The ability to suspend delivery on the lightest delivery days, for example, could save dollars in both our delivery and our processing and distribution networks. I do not make this request lightly, but I am forced to consider every option given the severity of our challenge."

Obama may not have a lot of respect for taxpayers considering his pork filled stimulus package, but it is nice to see a government official with a sense of reality. Personally, I think three-day delivery would better serve customers and make necessary cuts to prevent wastes. The private sector offers other delivery options.

Halloween in Washington: Analysis of Obama's Stimulus Plan

Let's just get it out of the way quickly. Obama's stimulus package is a Halloween costume disguising a rapidly growing government. It's probably the scariest thing I have seen come out Washington in my lifetime. Even Chris Matthew's is smart enough to know the only tingles in this plan are for socialists.

Obama's stimulus package, the American Recovery and Reinvestment Bill of 2009, breaks down as follows:

  • $32 billion spent on researching alternative energy. Basically put, we are going to build windmills that are less than 20% efficient. In twenty years the environmentalists will complain about the site of large windmills destroying the magnificent country views across Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, etc. This would be better spent investing in clean nuclear power which produces dependable energy. Sure, there will be other developments other than windmills, but none of the proposals will equal the production of nuclear power plants.

  • $16 billion to repair housing and make them greener with key energy saving retrofits. That's right, the government is going to spend money on existing houses forcing them to get in line with their new green legislation.

  • $6 billion to weatherize modest window homes--I can see it now, government officials will drive throughout the northern half of the country to make sure you have placed plastic over your windows and you have closed your vents. There may even be a government program that invests in more insulation. Who knows. Weatherizing your house and stimulating the economy don't belong in the same sentence.

  • $10 billion spent in science facilities, research, and instrumentation. This is nothing more than an investment in convincing you global warming exists so they can create green taxes that will slow the economy and kill our remaining industries. So much for stimulating the economy!

  • $6 billion to expand broadband Internet access. Late last year, Obama preached how embarrassed he was that America ranks 15th in broadband connections. Now he wants to subsidize a program to get the rest of the nation hooked up? Something tells me there is a taste of Chinese Internet regulations in here. We know Obama uses the Internet well and he has electronic warriors to fight his battles. How far will Obama go to control the Internet? Will there be a Fairness Doctrine applied to the Internet in this legislation.

The truth is all Americans have access to broadband in one form or another. This myth that Americans don't have access is a lie. I don't see how subsidizing Internet access will stimulate anything. My guess is Obama and many government officials will begin to tax purchases on the Internet and create other taxes. Considering there has already been a story that Google searches cause global warming, I wouldn't be surprised if there is a tax on searches.

  • $30 billion in highway construction--white construction workers need not apply. I am still waiting for unions that supported Obama to speak up on this one. So Obama is going to invest in highways only to fight a war against CO2. Is he building bicycle highways? It's apparent to me Americans drive less when it cost more to drive. If Obama's goal is less cars on the road, does it make sense he is building more highways?

  • $31 billion to modernize federal and other public infrastructure--white construction workers need not apply.. Notice we are putting money into government infrastructure, and not offering loans and tax credits to companies to stay put in the United States, create jobs, and to help modernize their factories. Nope, we are throwing it at government infrastructure that produces nothing! NOTHING! Did you get that? NOTHING!!!! Once again, the only thing that is stimulated is bigger government.

  • $19 billion in flood control, clean water, and environmental restoration. First off, I bet not one environmentalist will complain $19 billion isn't enough. If George W. Bush set aside $19 billion, it wouldn't be enough. Once again, this is all going back into government.

  • $10 billion to transit and rail--it's not clear what this is. One thing is for certain, government has more control over your movement when you have to depend on them to get you there. Not only that, but investing in subway like transportation always has a larger cost and the return on investment for the most governments that subsidize these trains is usually a loss.

  • $41 billion for schools--our nations schools are suffering to deliver quality education. Many schools are further indoctrination centers challenging what is taught in the homes of many Americans. Throwing more money at education has never fixed education. Until parents demand accountability from their schools, the trend will continue $41 billion extra or not. In fact, even with Obama's extra funding, which is obviously not going to stimulate the economy, I still bet the kids of Ozark Schools as well as other schools across the nation are sent home with fundraisers to make up for their school's irresponsibility. I believe the federal government needs to leave the education sector and allow state and local governments to provide education. The only program that the federal government could provide that would raise the quality would be vouchers that increase competition. Once again, we will see the free markets stimulate, not the government.

  • $79 billion for state fiscal relief--after years of California's liberal policies and failure to enforce their border while funding non tax-paying illegal aliens medical care and welfare, the American taxpayer is going to pay California's and other states irresponsible spending. Paying debts off isn't going to stimulate the economy.

  • $15.6 billion in Pell Grants--once again, how is government subsidizing education going to stimulate the economy? This money is going to students, not the free market who has the power to produce jobs.

  • $6 billion for higher education modernization--I have no clue what this is either, but it scares me. Obama furthering the enhancement of liberal colleges worries me about the ways he wants to modernize them. My mind wanders through the possibilities.

  • $20 billion on health IT--Obama wants to modernize patient records. Why would he want to do this? Might it make it easier for the government to take over the nation's health care? It will be interesting to watch the over site with this program. St. John's hospital recently switched over their records to a new computer system. I wonder if the government will force them to switch again. $20 billion will purchase a lot of software licenses for nationalization purposes.

  • $4 billion for preventative care--unclear, but since it was placed next to another health care, I am sure this is part of the nationalization plan. I suspect this is the $4 billion Rush Limbaugh cited was going to ACORN. ACORN won't stimulate the economy, but it will fix an election or two.

  • $43 billion for increased unemployment benefits and job training--I am at the frame of mind from personal experience that you are the master of your domain. As I realized the industry I was once in peaked and sales quickly designed, I reinvented myself by investing in my education. It seems I moved too quickly. Now the government is going to subsidize adults going back to school. The problem is that they already have government programs for adults. It's just a matter of the adult getting off their butt and realizing they aren't going back to factory work. I hate seeing my tax dollars thrown out there like a rabbit in a greyhound race. Notice, the $43 billion only creates jobs in the government, since the government will need someone to assist these people to move forward with their education. Sad!

  • $39 billion for health care benefits for the unemployed--not only will you get your unemployment check and your COBRA information, now the government grants you a Faustian Deal. Take our health care and become even more dependent on the government, and the government laughs as they gain more power of your health care. If Americans can't see this basic truth, we are doomed as a nation.

  • $20 billion in additional welfare in the form of food stamps. Once again the only jobs created are for government employees to monitor the food stamp disbursements. Even then, computer software does most of that, so the job creation will be minimal at best.

  • $87 billion more in Medicaid--sounds like more nationalization to me.

  • $4 billion in state and local law enforcement--could there be an Obama enforcement team created from this fund? There has been evidence suggesting as much. Remember Obama's domestic army talk?

  • Then there's the $31.3 billion in mystery meat. Anytime there is mystery meat associated with Obama, there's room to be nervous. We need to watch this very closely.

Obama has $275 billion in tax cuts proposed in his stimulus package. Obviously, America's going into further debt with his massive spending proposals that only create government jobs.

No where in the stimulus package is a free-market idea. This should alarm everyone. This is a blueprint for the largest version of the federal government to date. In America today, government jobs outnumber manufacturing jobs. If we continue down this road, our country's economy will be so sluggish, there won't be any strength to bring it back. The best way to fix the economy is to allow the recession to run its course and let the free-market bring it back.

Since I first wrote this, the family planning section is now the sexually transmitted disease prevention section. So, now preventing the clap, according to Obama and the Democrats, will stimulate the economy.

Thank You Republican House Members and the Eleven Democrats Who Voted Against Obama's Stimulus

I want to thank Republicans in the House of Representatives who showed leadership and wasn't afraid to face the repercussions of Dear Leader after unanimously voting against the pork bill. I also wish to thank the eleven Democrats who also crossed party lines knowing Obama's plan wasn't going to stimulate the economy. The bill passed, but at least it doesn't have your affirmative votes attached to it.

The following Democrats did the right thing:

MINNICK - ID
PETERSON - MN
ELLSWORTH - IN
TAYLOR - MS
BRIGHT - AL
BOYD - FL
KRATOVIL - MD

NASA's Embarrassment: Superior Doesn't Agree With Hansen's Global Warming Views

Just over a week ago, I spent time presenting Robin McKie's argument stating Obama has four years to save the earth based on the opinion of NASA scientist Jim Hansen. Hansen has long been an ally to global warming hack Al Gore, and the evening before Al Gore addressed Congress on the gloom of the global warming crisis, Hansen's boss, John Theon, labels him an embarrassment to NASA on the Senate Web site's James Inhofe's EPW blog.

The following was presented on the blog:

Washington DC, Jan 27th 2009: NASA warming scientist James Hansen, one of former Vice-President Al Gore’s closest allies in the promotion of man-made global warming fears, is being publicly rebuked by his former supervisor at NASA.

Retired senior NASA atmospheric scientist, Dr. John S. Theon, the former supervisor of James Hansen, NASA’s vocal man-made global warming fear soothsayer, has now publicly declared himself a skeptic and declared that Hansen “embarrassed NASA” with his alarming climate claims and said Hansen was “was never muzzled.” Theon joins the rapidly growing ranks of international scientists abandoning the promotion of man-made global warming fears.

“I appreciate the opportunity to add my name to those who disagree that global warming is man made,” Theon wrote to the Minority Office at the Environment and Public Works Committee on January 15, 2009. “I was, in effect, Hansen’s supervisor because I had to justify his funding, allocate his resources, and evaluate his results,” Theon, the former Chief of the Climate Processes Research Program at NASA Headquarters and former Chief of the Atmospheric Dynamics & Radiation Branch explained.

“Hansen was never muzzled even though he violated NASA’s official agency position on climate forecasting (i.e., we did not know enough to forecast climate change or mankind’s effect on it). Hansen thus embarrassed NASA by coming out with his claims of global warming in 1988 in his testimony before Congress,” Theon wrote. [Note: NASA scientist James Hansen has created worldwide media frenzy with his dire climate warning, his call for trials against those who dissent against man-made global warming fear, and his claims that he was allegedly muzzled by the Bush administration despite doing 1,400 on-the-job media interviews! - See: Don't Panic Over Predictions of Climate Doom - Get the Facts on James Hansen - UK Register: Veteran climate scientist says 'lock up the oil men' - June 23, 2008 & UK Guardian: NASA scientist calls for putting oil firm chiefs on trial for 'high crimes against humanity' for spreading doubt about man-made global warming - June 23, 2008 ]

Theon declared “climate models are useless.” “My own belief concerning anthropogenic climate change is that the models do not realistically simulate the climate system because there are many very important sub-grid scale processes that the models either replicate poorly or completely omit,” Theon explained. “Furthermore, some scientists have manipulated the observed data to justify their model results. In doing so, they neither explain what they have modified in the observations, nor explain how they did it. They have resisted making their work transparent so that it can be replicated independently by other scientists. This is clearly contrary to how science should be done. Thus there is no rational justification for using climate model forecasts to determine public policy,” he added.

“As Chief of several of NASA Headquarters’ programs (1982-94), an SES position, I was responsible for all weather and climate research in the entire agency, including the research work by James Hansen, Roy Spencer, Joanne Simpson, and several hundred other scientists at NASA field centers, in academia, and in the private sector who worked on climate research,” Theon wrote of his career. “This required a thorough understanding of the state of the science. I have kept up with climate science since retiring by reading books and journal articles,” Theon added. (LINK) Theon also co-authored the book “Advances in Remote Sensing Retrieval Methods.” [Note: Theon joins many current and former NASA scientists in dissenting from man-made climate fears. A small sampling includes: Aerospace engineer and physicist Dr. Michael Griffin, the former top administrator of NASA, Atmospheric Scientist Dr. Joanne Simpson, the first woman in the world to receive a PhD in meteorology, and formerly of NASA, Geophysicist Dr. Phil Chapman, an astronautical engineer and former NASA astronaut, Award-Winning NASA Astronaut/Geologist and Moonwalker Jack Schmitt, Award-winning NASA Astronaut and Physicist Walter Cunningham of NASA's Apollo 7, Chemist and Nuclear Engineer Robert DeFayette was formerly with NASA's Plum Brook Reactor, Hungarian Ferenc Miskolczi, an atmospheric physicist with 30 years of experience and a former researcher with NASA's Ames Research Center, Climatologist Dr. John Christy, Climatologist Dr. Roy W. Spencer, Atmospheric Scientist Ross Hays of NASA's Columbia Scientific Balloon Facility]

Gore faces a much different scientific climate in 2009 than the one he faced in 2006 when his film “An Inconvenient Truth” was released. According to satellite data, the Earth has cooled since Gore’s film was released, Antarctic sea ice extent has grown to record levels, sea level rise has slowed, ocean temperatures have failed to warm, and more and more scientists have publicly declared their dissent from man-made climate fears as peer-reviewed studies continue to man-made counter warming fears. [See: Peer-Reviewed Study challenges 'notion that human emissions are responsible for global warming' & New Peer-Reviewed Scientific Studies Chill Global Warming Fears ]

“Vice President Gore and the other promoters of man-made climate fears endless claims that the “debate is over” appear to be ignoring scientific reality,” Senator James Inhofe, Ranking Member of the Environment & Public Works Committee.

A U.S. Senate Minority Report released in December 2008 details over 650 international scientists who are dissenting from man-made global warming fears promoted by the UN and yourself. Many of the scientists profiled are former UN IPCC scientists and former believers in man-made climate change that have reversed their views in recent years. The report continues to grow almost daily. We have just received a request from an Italian scientist, and a Czech scientist to join the 650 dissenting scientists report. A chemist from the U.S. Naval Academy is about to be added, and more Japanese scientists are dissenting. Finally, many more meteorologists will be added and another former UN IPCC scientist is about to be included. These scientists are openly rebelling against the climate orthodoxy promoted by Gore and the UN IPCC.

The prestigious International Geological Congress, dubbed the geologists’ equivalent of the Olympic Games, was held in Norway in August 2008 and prominently featured the voices of scientists skeptical of man-made global warming fears. Reports from the conference found that Skeptical scientists overwhelmed the meeting, with ‘2/3 of presenters and question-askers hostile to, even dismissive of, the UN IPCC’ ( See full reports here & here ] In addition, a 2008 canvass of more than 51,000 Canadian scientists revealed 68% disagree that global warming science is “settled.” A November 25, 2008, article in Politico noted that a “growing accumulation” of science is challenging warming fears, and added that the “science behind global warming may still be too shaky to warrant cap-and-trade legislation.” More evidence that the global warming fear machine is breaking down. Russian scientists “rejected the very idea that carbon dioxide may be responsible for global warming”. An American Physical Society editor conceded that a “considerable presence” of scientific skeptics exists. An International team of scientists countered the UN IPCC, declaring: “Nature, Not Human Activity, Rules the Climate”. India Issued a report challenging global warming fears. International Scientists demanded the UN IPCC “be called to account and cease its deceptive practices.”

The scientists and peer-reviewed studies countering climate claims are the key reason that the U.S. public has grown ever more skeptical of man-made climate doom predictions. [See: Global warming ranks dead last, 20 out of 20 in new Pew survey. Pew Survey: & Survey finds majority of U.S. Voters - '51% - now believe that humans are not the predominant cause of climate change' - January 20, 2009 - Rasmussen Reports ]

The chorus of skeptical scientific voices grow louder in 2008 as a steady stream of peer-reviewed studies, analyses, real world data and inconvenient developments challenged the UN’s and former Vice President Al Gore’s claims that the “science is settled” and there is a “consensus.”

Marc,

First, I sent several e-mails to you with an error in the address and they have been returned to me. So I’m resending them in one combined e-mail.

Yes, one could say that I was, in effect, Hansen’s supervisor because I had to justify his funding, allocate his resources, and evaluate his results. I did not have the authority to give him his annual performance evaluation. He was never muzzled even though he violated NASA’s official agency position on climate forecasting (i.e., we did not know enough to forecast climate change or mankind’s effect on it). He thus embarrassed NASA by coming out with his claims of global warming in 1988 in his testimony before Congress.

My own belief concerning anthropogenic climate change is that the models do not realistically simulate the climate system because there are many very important sub-grid scale processes that the models either replicate poorly or completely omit. Furthermore, some scientists have manipulated the observed data to justify their model results. In doing so, they neither explain what they have modified in the observations, nor explain how they did it. They have resisted making their work transparent so that it can be replicated independently by other scientists. This is clearly contrary to how science should be done. Thus there is no rational justification for using climate model forecasts to determine public policy.

With best wishes,

John

One Man, Many Taxes, 365 Days: Day 28

Screw Obama and his sacrifices which are really new taxes.

Today is the one-year anniversary of my job. I am sure the IRS appreciates my efforts at my desk. They always leave me a big reminder of who I am working for when I get paid.

I discovered a new tax today while surfing on the Illinois Department of Revenue Web site. Let me tell you something about Illinois DoR. They are the most unfriendly bunch to get information from when it comes to your past tax information. Why do IRS and state department of revenue employees feel like that have to have an attitude. Don't they know I am helping to pay their salary so they can look up information on a computer? Anyway...

The state of Illinois apparently treats cigarettes coming across the state line like the customs agents treat souvenirs you by overseas. Declare, declare, declare!

The Illinois Department of Revenue's Web site reads:

Cigarette Use Tax is applicable to any person who brings cigarettes into Illinois for use in Illinois. In this instance, you would owe two taxes. Cigarette use tax would be due and is based on a per-unit rate. Form RC-44, Cigarette Use Tax Return is used to pay this tax. In addition, Use tax (mentioned above) would also be due at the 6.25% rate for general merchandise. Form ST-44, Illinois Use Tax Return is used to to pay that tax.

File using Form RC-44, Cigarette Use Tax Return.

Does anyone in Illinois actually pay this? Your in St. Louis for a Cardinals-Cubs game. You buy a pack of cigarettes before you cross the Mississippi back and back to Granite City. Are you really going to take the time to count your cigarettes and declare them, and then pay Blago and company more taxes? This is stupid, but I wouldn't put it past them eventually track the movements of taxable items across state line, and a few days later a bill shows up in your mail box. This is why I think people are crazy for using an Illinois I-Pass tollway transponder. It allows the Illinois government to track your movements on the tollways. There has been talk of ticketing I-Pass holders if they arrive at the next I-Pass lane faster than they should. Which is basically a tax on speed.

Now for the totals:

Why is it the people who work for the IRS and you state's department of revenu always have attitudes?

Jay Nixon is Returning Tens of Thousands Of Missourians back to Welfare Dependence

Jay Nixon's view of stimulus is as dimwitted as another chief executive in which I have had my fill of. In his State of the State address, Nixon said he was counting on the stimulus package to fund Missouri state-run health care for adults and children. It's good to know Nixon is going to do something stimulating with it, like stimulate votes by creating additional welfare.

Nixon's new catch phrase of the day during this announcement was "a new day for the Show-Me state." How original! Where ever do you come up with such delightful little verses Jay? Nixon's new day includes returning the dead beats Governor Blunt removed from the Medicaid program back to the government dependence.

"Nobody should feel good that we have 150,000 uninsured children in Missouri," Nixon said.

You know Mr. Nixon, if there are 150,000 uninsured children in the state, that's the the choice a parent makes, often from the time they decide advanced vocational studies isn't their forte and their too lazy to even fill out some paperwork. Don't act like these children would be denied health care. I am sick and tired of this lie.

Of these 150,000 children, many of them are uninsured because the parents are too lazy to fill out the paperwork for government programs they qualify for. Everyone knows the government paperwork requries too much effort. Democrats love using these numbers to display half-truths.

Missouri's current Medicaid plan for children includes full coverage for foster and adopted children regardless of household income. It's far more liberal plan than Mr. Nixon alludes to.

The Governor promises to add more adults to Missouri Medicaid all without raising taxes. That's quite a balancing act Mr. Nixon. You are going to lower the qualifications for government funded health care, freeze tuition, and insure colleges are properly funded all without raising taxes. I get it. You are going to put us in a huge hole and force the next governor to be the bad guy. Great thinking Jay! Our children and grandchildren and their children and grandchildren are going to hate our generation. I appreciate you helping add to our soon to be disgraceful legacy. I'm support you not raising taxes, but spending like a typical Democrat isn't the answer either.

Democrats Have Become Big Boobs: Petition This, Petition That

Americans are suffering today, not because of the economy, but because of weather. Obama has the first chance to reach out to Americans suffering from the wrath of the weather, and where is the chosen one? Thousands in Arkansas and Oklahoma to West Virginia go without heat and electricity as ice has coated power lines, occasionally bringing the lines down. Where is Obama and the Democrats, you know those who pointed fingers during weather disasters during the past eight years?

Why they are listening to Al Gore telling that a bad economy is no reason to avoid the seriousness of global warming? Do they not care about these red states to reach out the hand of help? Perhaps, it’s race related, after all the storm ravaged white areas of the country, so Spike Lee isn’t going to speak up claiming the government snapped these power lines so these people will freeze to death. All these people suffering do the freezing cold weather, and the Democrats slap them the face putting Al Gore in front of the immediate needs of those suffering from the cold. It’s obvious they don’t care about some hillbillies and Sooners, but if they were black…

Now before you call me racist for pointing out the differences between Katrina and the recent cold weather that has caused havoc in many communities, remember how quickly the Democrats played the race card against President George W. Bush as people suffered in New Orleans during Katrina. I only present satire based on the history I have to work with.

Democrats opened many doors for satirical analysis. Something tells me they probably won’t like it. In fact, they will probably develop a petition against this satire, because we have proof that’s what they do no when they people criticize them. We have boobs running the country and boobs backing them. Petitions—how funny. It’s easy to laugh at Democrats. They, Obama included, are overgrown babies--big boobs.

Phil Gingrey Calls Rush to Apologize

Representative Phil Gingrey admitted to Rush Limbaugh that he stuck his foot in his mouth and that the Republicans need Rush Limbaugh to galvanize their message to his millions of listeners. I applaud Representative Gingrey and his courage to admit he was wrong. Let's hope this inspires more Republicans to stand behind conservatism and its leaders.

Of course, it's going to take a lot more than this to inspire me to love the Republicans again. Move right, move right, and you will win my affections.

The Politically Incorrect Guide to Watching the Super Bowl

There's no possible way I am missing Kurt Warner lead the Arizona Cardinals in Super Bowl XLIII. Unfortunately, Warner's spotlight is carried by the disgusting people at NBC, which means Keith Olbermann will take a break from his uninformed political commentary to present his uninformed sports commentary. The word liberals screams from this years Super Bowl. Let's not forget, General Electric owns NBC. The good people at GE insists on selling Iran technology.

The NFL, which has attempted to avoid controversy since Justin Timberlake ripped the cover to Janet Jackson's breast off during a previous half-time show, has attempted to avoid controversy. This year, they may have chosen poorly. Bruce Springsteen and the gypsies known as the E-Street Band perform this year's half-time show. Springsteen fits the mold of the washed-up rock star that's been featured in the past few Super Bowls. As I mentioned in an earlier blog, Bruce Springsteen promotes his new lackluster new CD, Working on a Dream, by creating controversy commenting on the past eight years. During a recent guest DJ appearance on Sirius's E-Street Radio, Springsteen started the show with a dedication to the former administration--Jarvis Cocker's C*$ts Are Still Running the World, which Cocker paired with an anti George W. Bush and anti Tony Blair video. I wonder if the NFL may be a little nervous about what Springsteen may say in front of an international crowd of millions. Remember controversy sells albums. In fact, it might be Springsteen's only hope of connecting with the pierced, anti establishment Millennials.

So as you can see, the Super Bowl, with the exception of Kurt Warner and both teams meeting in a circle for the pregame and post game prayer, may just be a conservative's nightmare. You can do something about it.

If NBC features Olbermann, turn down the sound on your TV and turn the radio on. For satellite radio subscribers, there will be plenty of pregame, game, and post game coverage. You need not draw your attention to Olbermann's ignorance.

Then create your half-time show. I suggest putting a Ted Nugent concert video in you DVD player. Crank up the sound, and play Fred Bear to celebrate your right to be in the outdoors with you guns and your bows. I can't think of a better way to get pumped up for an Arizona Cardinal win. (Hey, I am not trying to upset my Pittsburgh readers.) Kurt Warner is a class act! I have to celebrate a man of his caliber. I have never witnessed a professional athlete who has done as much good with their position in life. I hope you understand.

If you watch the Super Bowl in this method, you blood pressure will remain relatively low during the game. Of course, that also depends on how your team plays. You will also have a truer sense of how great our country is; after all, who do you depend on delivering you to a patriotic high--Bruce Springsteen? No way. Give me Ted Nugent any day.

The Twelve Rules for Radicals: Obama Learned Well

RULE 1: Power is not only what you have, but what the enemy thinks you have. Power is derived from 2 main sources - money and people. "Have-Nots" must build power from flesh and blood.

Obama gained his power spending the most ever to be elected. He used people, even people who didn't exist thanks to ACORN to gain his power. Now he calls on his masses to fight an electronic war.

RULE 2: Never go outside the expertise of your people. It results in confusion, fear and retreat. Feeling secure adds to the backbone of anyone.

Obama has a close knit team in Washington. We understand from interviews with Rahm Emanuel, those closest to Obama know the rules of the game. Obama gives the illusion he cares about bipartisanship, but he doesn't need Republicans to pass his radical agenda. It's just a dog and pony show.

RULE 3: Whenever possible, go outside the expertise of the enemy. Look for ways to increase insecurity, anxiety and uncertainty.

Obama keeps talking down the economy, making it worse than what it is to gain increasing power. If he would get out of the way, the economy fixes itself. There is no stimulus in the Obama stimulus package. There is only clues of things to come. Take for instance $75 million for stop smoking programs, nationalized health care is coming.

RULE 4: Make the enemy live up to its own book of rules. If the rule is that every letter gets a reply, send 30,000 letters. You can kill them with this because no one can possibly obey all of their own rules.

Displayed many times during the election.

RULE 5: Ridicule is man's most potent weapon.

Can you say Rush Limbaugh?

RULE 6: A good tactic is one your people enjoy. They'll keep doing it without urging and come back to do more. They're doing their thing, and will even suggest better ones.

Obama campaign stops had a rock concert appeal. I know, I went to one. Many people couldn't tell you why they were there outside of just being a part of something big. Most Obama supporters are ignorant of who Obama really is.

RULE 7: A tactic that drags on too long becomes a drag. Don't become old news.

In the early days of Obama's reign, we see him all covering a large variety of issues and providing no real solutions. He's closing GITMO, but doesn't know what he's going to do with the most dangerous terrorists in custody in the world. He surrendered missile defense in Poland, but provided no proof he can keep America safe. He has worsened the economy with his rhetoric and created a bigger crisis, yet provides a bigger government program that will take over the government. His focus has kept people talking, just look at the diversity in the blog world.

RULE 8: Keep the pressure on. Never let up. Keep trying new things to keep the opposition off balance. As the opposition masters one approach, hit them from the flank with something new.

Obama has placed pressure on the Republicans. Stop listening to Limbaugh. Let's work together. This is the first symbolic use of Rule #8 in the administration.

RULE 9: The threat is usually more terrifying than the thing itself.

Obama preaches the worst case scenario. Everything is worse than he imagined. It strikes fear in people and gets them behind Obama and his programs. The economy is showing signs of recovery in the housing market, but Obama will never cite that. He will continue the negative rhetoric further costing Americans their jobs, all to gain more power. He will never mention the recent good news in the housing market until all of his plans are in place.

RULE 10: If you push a negative hard enough, it will push through and become a positive. Violence from the other side can win the public to your side because the public sympathizes with the underdog.

Notice after the campaign, Obama went very negative. Of course the negative followed Obama. I have written about Obama using the Law of Attraction to gain power. Now I discover it's a rule of Sal Alinksy's. We are seeing Republicans break from all of this, most recently Phil Gingrey. Obama has staged a war between Rush Limbaugh and Republicans, and the press is running with it.

RULE 11: The price of a successful attack is a constructive alternative. Never let the enemy score points because you're caught without a solution to the problem.

Obama always has a solution, even though there is never a solution. Words and confidence fool the American people into thinking Obama has solutions, but they rarely look into those solutions.

RULE 12: Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it. Cut off the support network and isolate the target from sympathy. Go after people and not institutions; people hurt faster than institutions.

Obama's arrogance is similar to Richard Nixon's. The difference is Obama calls his enemies out by name in front of the camera. Nixon kept his enemy list in his desk.

When you look at the rules, it's easy to see all of the rules are in play. I suggest the Republicans study these rules. Post them everywhere they can. Get the American people to understand these rules, even if it means placing them on television commercials. Things are changing in America way too fast, and we better find a way to slow this down and expose these truths.

Has Obama Compromised the Security of the United States?: Missile Shield in Poland Surrendered

Russia has dropped plans to install missiles near Poland after the Obama administration signalled a change in US attitude to the region, a Moscow military official has reportedly said.

The official suggested that Mr Obama's White House had made clear it would not prioritise executing the Bush administration's plan to install a missile defence shield in Poland and the Czech Republic. From Closing Velocity

President Light has obviously made another blunder that must have conveniently escaped the eyes of the mainstream press. We know the transparency promise before the inauguration, but it's obvious now transparency only alluded to what's between those huge ears. Who knew that he was negotiating with the Russians? Did the Republicans in Congress know Obama was negotiating our security away? Transparency! Transparency?

Earlier this week, a report was cited on Sirius Patriot claiming Israeli Defense Ministers claim Iran is six to nine months away from nuclear capability. The United States believes it's still two years away. Apparently those reports mean little to President Light. He obviously doesn't see the world as dangerous since he has taken office. A reversal of Bush's defense mechanisms, which were designed to protect even the most whiny of liberals, is a huge mistake.

I wonder if President Light forced Vladimir Putin to stop sending technology to Iran to further enhance their nuclear capabilities. I bet it never crossed his mind. Not to mention, Russian has been arming former Soviet republics with nuclear missiles. Obama's naivety in 2009 will get you killed. It's really that simple.

PETA Super Bowl Ad Banned

I can't think of a better way to get your message out to a bunch of chicken wing eatin', beer drinkin', rowdy football fans than putting naked women on the screen rubbing themselves with vegetables. At the end of the commercial runs the tag line "studies show vegetarians have better sex."

NBC banned the commercial, produced by PETA, from appearing during the Super Bowl. The sad thing is PETA is sadly mistaken if they think they are convert the typical football fan into eating less meat and becoming vegetarians; if anything, PETA's only encouraging fans to leave the TV while Bruce Springsteen angrily yells his American hate into a microphone for a visit to Craig's list, specifically the personal ads with vegetarian tags.

It's obvious, the only way PETA gets noticed is by exploiting naked women. Sometimes I don't know if they are really for the animals or just an extension of Larry Flynt's Hustler corporation.

Obama's Radical Departure From The Franklin Roosevelt Model

Closing Guantanamo next year symbolizes a huge departure from Obama's 'Roosevelt identity.' In fact, it's such a radical departure from past Democratic policies, that it's worth noting. George W. Bush received constant criticism from the Democrats from harmless practices like water boarding, but you will soon see Democrats shine above Bush with inhumane treatment of people during times of war. At least Bush officials can argue their practices saved lives. Democrats obviously violated certain unalienable rights and never gave their victims the right of criminal trial.

Shortly after Japan bombed Pearl Harbor on February 19, 1942, a DEMOCRAT violated the rights of honest Japanese Americans signing Executive Order 9066 (EO9066). EO9066 forced every Japanese American out of their homes and into war relocation camps, talk about racial profiling. EO9066 forced over 110,000 people into ten different camps around the United States. The military instantly discharged 5000 Japanese American, and 63% of the interned were Americans. Oh, how the Democrats love to forget history. It's no wonder they don't teach this in today’s schools.

I remember my mother wrapping a blanket around me and my pretending to fall asleep so she would be happy, though I was so excited I couldn't sleep. I hear there were people herded into the Hastings Park like cattle. Families were made to move in two hours. Abandoned everything, leaving pets and possessions at gun point . . . . — Joy Kogawa, from "What Do I Remember of the Evacuation"

That's right, Democrats sent children to internment camps. In fact, half of the detainees were children, innocent of the attack on Pearl Harbor. The United States government under full Democratic party control gathered Japanese for eight months and kept them against their will in these camps for three to four years.

Government officials told families to carry only what they could hold. Families left their pets behind to die. Read that again you Democratic loving animal right activists. They required Japanese Americans to sell what property they owned in 48 hours. If it went unsold, they took losses as the government confiscated it or vandals destroyed it. You Democrats want to call Bush a criminal for sticking someone’s head in some water for a few seconds?

These camps were prisons for people who did nothing but legally live in the United States. We treat illegal aliens better. Razor-sharp barbed wire prevented escape. The United States government purposely placed these innocent people into extreme climates and conditions. The prisoners at GITMO gained weight eating Captain Crunch in comparison. The Japanese Americans lived in crowded conditions similar to what many liberals complain animals live in--all because of policies of Roosevelt and the Democratic Party.

Despite over 90% of the interned Japanese Americans expressing their loyalty to the United States, the government held them until after the war. Had Roosevelt lived, it’s doubtful they would debate war and human rights charges against him. In fact, we celebrate this hateful, socialist who deprived Americans of their God-given rights. Anybody care to remove him from the dime now?

In Hawaii, it went even further. If you were Japanese, you lived in the camps. Officials gathered the nonnative American citizens left and provided them a strict set of rules. They banned them from assembling together (First Amendment right was taken). Personal items such as radios and cameras were considered contraband and removed from their possession.

After the war, the government released them. Many had nowhere to go. No government entitlements existed to replace what the Democratically controlled government robbed from them. Their possessions were gone. Those whose homes remained were victims of vandals.

It took over 40 years for the United States government to apologize. Ronald Reagan, a Republican, signed the bill that provided minimal comfort to the people from years of abuse of a Democratic administration and Congress.

It's striking how Democrats care more about the rights of people who want to destroy our country and our way of life. Prisoners in GITMO will receive full American rights including a trial; yet, Democrats robbed thousands of Japanese Americans from those same rights.

By the way, do you think when the United States sees it's first Japanese descent presidential candidate, we will debate whether they are Japanese enough based on their internment blood? This is recent American history, and their are people living today who lived in these camps, unlike another group of people who call themselves victims. That same group often forgets it was a Republican who freed them. Isn't it interesting how distorted American history has become to protect the ugly truth about the Democrats?

The Reagan Quote of the Day (1/28/09)

An almost unbroken 50 years of deficit spending has finally brought us to a time of reckoning. We have come to a turning point, a moment for hard decisions. I have asked the Cabinet and my staff a question, and now I put the same question to all of you: If not us, who? And if not now, when? It must be done by all of us going forward with a program aimed at reaching a balanced budget. We can then begin reducing the national debt.

The Democrat's Hush Rush Petition: After Eight Years of Bullying, They Don't Like Criticism

The Democrats just proved what a whiny bunch of babies they are. Still upset at Rush Limbaugh's out of context statement about Obama failing, they have introduced an online petition with a comment section. This site was paid for by the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee.

Here's what you need to do. Go to the petition, and in the comments section tell them what scumbags they are. For eight years these same Dummycrats went out of their way to slam and embarrass George W. Bush, and now they are going to complain because they had what is coming to them too.

FOR THE RECORD, I HOPE OBAMA's POLICIES FAIL. I DON'T WANT MY COUNTRY TO TAKE THE PATH OF FAILURE THAT THE UNITED KINGDOM IS ON! It's obvious both Obama and the Democrats are spoiled little partisan babies. Be sure to let them have it in the comments section. They are disgraceful.

Deep down inside, I know Rush will laugh at every liberal hack that signs this; however, considering how these same Democrats disrespected Bush, I have every right to be furious.

Springfield's Greg Burris and Barack Obama Have a lot in Common

Irresponsible government occurs on every level. You could easily place Obama and his socialist stimulus package into this political cartoon.

Representative Phil Gingrey is One of the Reasons Why I Don't Call Myself a Republican Anymore

What a disgrace certain Republicans in Congress have become. They obviously are spineless and afraid to stand up against Democrats who wish nothing more than to gain power through bigger government. Thank God for people like Rush Limbaugh who actually cares enough about his country to at least say something, unlike Congressional Republicans who are so damn afraid of being called a racist, that they are willing to give Obama a free ride while attacking Limbaugh.

I know I don't need defend Limbaugh. In fact, after Obama attacked him, Rush's rebuttal was of the utmost class and of course shined far brighter than Obama ever could. Obama once again looked like a baby. We will become used to this.

Rush is not the problem with the Republican party. The problem with the Republican party are people like Representative Phil Gingrey who calls for Rush to back down? It's like these Congressman are getting to used to the power they have given themselves over private business with the current round of bailouts. First off, Representative Gingrey, Rush didn't take any of your dirty bailout money, so it may work over GM, Chrysler, and a few banks, but you have just alienated yourself from the greatest conservative voice since Ronald Reagan.

In case you missed it, Obama told Congressional Republicans they need to stop listening to Rush Limbaugh if they want to get things done. That's arrogance of the President never seen before, but it's out of Sal Alinsky's Rules for Radicals. I believe Limbaugh knew it was coming. Limbaugh responded, "Obama is obviously more frightened of me than he is Mitch McConnell. He's more frightened of me, than he is of, say, John Boehner, which doesn't say much about our party."

Well Representative Gingrey, I happen to agree with Rush. The Republicans are an embarrassment--dancing around Obama because they are afraid of being called a racists while his socialist agenda comes closer to becoming the law of the land. I don't see Republicans explaining that to the American people. I want some opposition damn it, and I want it now! At least Rush is dishing it out, unlike the Republicans who are supposed to be representing our side. Do you remember what our side is about Representative Gingrey?

“I think that our leadership, Mitch McConnell and John Boehner, are taking the right approach,” Gingrey said. “I mean, it’s easy if you’re Sean Hannity or Rush Limbaugh or even sometimes Newt Gingrich to stand back and throw bricks. You don’t have to try to do what’s best for your people and your party. You know you’re just on these talk shows and you’re living well and plus you stir up a bit of controversy and gin the base and that sort of that thing. But when it comes to true leadership, not that these people couldn’t be or wouldn’t be good leaders, they’re not in that position of John Boehner or Mitch McConnell."

Come on, show us some good leadership. I'm waiting. I want some partisan bickering so that we don't allow Obama to turn this government into a massive socialist entity. I got news for you Representative Gingrey, this isn't easy at all. In fact, it's the hardest thing I have had to watch in my life with the exception of watching cancer take my grandfather. I love my country just like Rush loves it. We don't want to see it taken to a point where we can't get it back. Get that in your head you pansy Congressman! Stand up for what is RIGHT or resign.

By the way, thank you Senator John Boehner for having the sense to direct Republican to vote against the stimulus package. There's still hope I may one day identify myself again as a Republican, but until then, I am a conservative supporting conservative leaders.

Man Who Attempts to Sodomize Raccoon Pays the Ultimate Price: The Continuing Decline of Morality

I debated all day whether or not to include this story on my blog. The current situation in America proves to me there is a lot of mental illness in this country and it usually involves liberalism. From NAMBLA to PETA to whatever other crazy organization, people just have lost their capacity to morally reason. This story happened in Russia, but with what I see going on in this country, especially in the morals department, it's probably not too far away until there is a NAMRLA, North American Man Raccoon Love Association. The lack of morality crumbles societies.

Alexander Kirilov, a 44-old-Russian, attempted to sodomize a raccoon last weekend. I wish I was making this up. It's kind of like a Russian version of Deliverance. “When I saw the raccoon I thought I’d have some fun."

Kirolov attempted to mount the frightened raccoon, which turned around and bit his member off. The best part of it, it will work again, but they weren't able to restore the chewed up portion.

What is wrong with society that a grown, supposedly mature man would attempt this? This isn't funny. It wouldn't even be a funny fraternity stunt.

We must work on morality as a nation. There are too many of these people in our society. It may not be a raccoon next door, but a child next time. Perhaps, it's a teacher who can't stop thinking about her 13-year-old student and winds up with the kid's baby. These things aren't acceptable and they are crumbling our society. This isn't about freedom. Freedom has its limits. Just like I can't go out and shoot someone, there must be limits on these types of behavior as well. We must not accept the repercussions of people who don't get their way if their behavior isn't approved of, like the recent attacks against the Mormons after Proposition 8 passed.

Mancow has always said that rapist should be punished by death. I agree, and sexual offenders who take the innocence from a child should receive the same punishment. If we don't start standing up for what is right, our country will continue crumble.

One Man, Many Taxes, Some Ice and Snow, 365 Days: Day 27

Screw Obama and his sacrifices which are really new taxes.

It's snowing in Springfield, Missouri, which probably means the pension funds of city employees are being dipped from in order to remove snow from the city's mismanagement of taxpayers' money.

This particular blog series's mission is to alert the people of our country of the greed and mismanagement of our country. If you like what you see, the tell a friend what's going on here so they too can see why at the end of the day, our money doesn't stretch.

Speaking of evil (taxation if your knew), I have a great blog coming on Saturday which probably finished up the guarantee of next year's audit. Please make sure you come back and read it. I am still amazed at what led up to writing it. I will clue you in--it's about the IRS.

Weatherization of Homes in the Stimulus Package: Obama and the Democrats Confusing Message

The smell of a fireplace burning on a cold winter today instantly warms the hearts of everyone. Coming in from the cold to a cup of cocoa and standing in front of a hot, wood fueled flame may be just a memory, exposing an Obama administration double standard on energy savings.

Obama's plans to stimulate the economy through weatherizing millions of homes at the taxpayers’ expense? I guess the clear plastic sheet manufacturers will have a good year as Obama pays to cover windows and whatever bogus stimulus is included in the $6 billion in new government programs. That's right, in case you missed it, $6 billion of Obama's stimulus is to weatherize homes. Nothing gets the economy roaring like weatherizing your home, right?

Obama cited weatherizing homes will save energy costs. That's funny, my fireplace saves me from higher energy costs, but it's moving up the private enemy #1 list. It's just behind the automobile and the factory. The Democrats and the environmentalist in California have already begun to ban fireplaces to save us from global warming and other hysteria.

Environmentalist claim burning wood has destroyed forests worldwide. What they fail to realize is that live trees don't make good burning logs and cutting out dead wood prevents forest fires. Their arguments don't stop there.

Your fireplace is dangerous to your health. (I have found Obama is dangerous to my health and the liberals don't want to label him dangerous. My stress goes up every time he claims the economy is worse than he could have imagined.) The romantic fireplace that lovers used to curl up to on a cold winter day is now a killer, responsible for thousands of deaths each year. (We are not talking houses burning either.) The San Francisco Chronicle ("Hearth Attack") claims 30% of all lung pollutants in San Francisco are because of fireplaces. Some California communities now limit the days you can use your fireplace. Freedoms in this country are dying.

Based on Obama's direction, California appears be the center of his environmental policies. As Obama preaches he wants to winterize homes to cut down on heating costs, I look for him to look to California and begin lessening the use of wood-burning fireplaces. In fact, in the coming years, Congress may even go as far as banning wood-burning fireplaces in new home construction. Isn't it ironic the President who walked in Lincoln's steps to the White House the weekend before inauguration may rob many from one Lincoln's simple pleasures--reading in front of a fire.

Burning logs creates heat and saves consumers from paying higher gas and electric bills. Isn’t that what they want? They confuse me with all of their rhetoric. Cleaning the forests of dead trees prevents forest fires and saves the lives of thousands of innocent animals. Why isn’t PETA coming to the defense of the fireplace for saving all the little animals? Like I said, liberals send so many mixed signals. Most of the time, they conflict with their other messages.

It won't be too long before California environmentalist attack the Boy Scouts for their campfires. It’s coming.

2009 Tour of Missouri Route Announced

Lieutenant Governor Peter Kinder announced the 2009 Tour of Missouri route today. Unlike the previous two years, which started in the Kansas City area and ended in St. Louis, the race this year starts in St. Louis. Unfortunately, Springfield and Branson (Missouri's tourist hot spot) were left out of the race. Nearly 450,000 people from 32 states watched a portion of the race last year, which makes the event Missouri's largest sporting event.

The host cities include: St. Louis, St. Genevieve, Cape Girardeau, Farmington, Rolla, St. James, Jefferson City, Sedalia, Chillicothe, St. Joseph, and Kansas City.

Tour Champion Christan Vande Velde, of team Garmin, expressed his excitement of the route. "I like what they've done. It's a totally different race course and it looks like they've added some challenging terrain. Last year's race was very fast and tougher than it looked on paper. I look forward to coming back with my Garmin teammates to defend my title."

The race was upgraded to one of the five best bicycle tours outside of Europe. Missouri should expect to see more Tour De France teams in September. Let's see if Lance Armstrong and his team commits to race in Missouri. I can't wait to find out. I know I will be in St. Louis on Labor Day hoping Lance is there.

Proof Schools Aren’t Good Stewards of Your Tax Dollars

Freezing rain has moved across the Ozarks during the past 24 hours, closing most of the schools for the first time this year. Traditionally, a school official contacted the television stations and radio stations to announce they were closed. Eager kids, wanting to sled and play in the snow, waited eagerly for their school’s name to flash on the screen or a DJ to announce it, and a celebration usually followed. In the 1990s, the internet allowed another outlet for school officials to announce they were closed. There was nothing wrong with this system. It worked. It wasn’t broken and it didn’t need to be improved. It doesn't need additional tax dollars thrown at it.

Now boards of education around the country, including Ozark Schools who sent home fundraisers for children to collect money for computers for their classrooms which the budget couldn’t afford, pay into a system called School Reach to run through the school’s database and individually call each phone number on the list. Parents get a call for each number listed in the database. If a parent has a home phone number listed it rings, makes the announcement school is closed, and then a second later their next phone rings. This is one of those examples of government waste that just upsets me. I am sure it’s used for other reasons as well like to announce your child is sick, but surely they could save the cost of a computerized system and have a faculty member call, especially when classroom computers are needed.

Pressure Matt Damon to Debate Bill Kristol: Spread the Word

Visions of the Matt Stone and Trey Parker's Matt Damon (Team America) character, lost and screaming 'Matt Damon' in front of a debate podium, is all I envision after reading Big Hollywood's challenge. After Damon attacked Bill Kristol on the Iraq War, Kristol and Big Hollywood decided to to turn the tables on Damon and challenged him to a debate. Big Hollywood offered $100,000 to Damon to debate Kristol on the war.

Damon obviously feels like he is an expert on foreign policy, so let's put the pressure on him to debate Kristol of the Weekly Standard and Fox News. I think the entire conservative blogging community should demand Damon to put up or shut up! Come on Matt, if you're really that smart, what do you have to lose? I saw you show those Harvard boys up in that silly movie of yours, surely you can give Bill Kristol a run for his money. Please Matt Damon...please. Jason Bourne is not a chicken, or is he?

Sunsets and Taxes: Springfield, Missouri Learn From the Examples of Other Commnities

I recently visited Tom Martz’s blog on Springfield, Missouri's sales tax proposal. Currently, Martz is running for election to the Springfield, Missouri City Council. His blog mentions the sales tax proposal in Springfield will be sunset once the money for the pension is raised or after five years. I have heard these sunset promises many times, and rarely do these taxes see its sunset.

I point to the state of Illinois, whose Illinois Tollway wreaks havoc for the 8 million people living in Chicago. Illinois voters approved the tollway on the premise once the bonds were paid for the highways, the tollways would be removed. The state of Illinois realized what a huge money maker the tollways are. They never went away, and the tolls recently increased. The traffic in Chicago doesn’t suck because of too many drivers; it sucks because the tollways force drivers to stop on the interstates to throw money in the toll basket. Notice, not one Democrat complains about the extra CO2 released because of the tollways. Never in the 13 years I lived in Chicago did I hear once concern about the additional CO2 released because of the longer commute Chicagoians face. It's all about the money they take from you.

Sunset is a cute word politicians use to assure voters the new tax is only temporary. "Please vote for it. It will be gone in no time." When it’s set to expire, there’s always an emergency forcing the tax to live on. I don’t trust Greg Burris and his sunset language. Voters have been burned too many times with sunset promises, and I don’t see any reason why voters wouldn’t be burned one more time. Springfield, Missouri vote against the sales tax increase next Tuesday! Take a look at other communities who were promised a sunset. The sun never set.

71,400 Job Cuts Announced Yesterday: Obama's Negativity is to Blame

The Patton Report posted that 71,400 jobs cuts were announced yesterday by multiple US corporations including Caterpillar and Kansas City's Sprint. It may be easy for some to point the finger at the previous administration, but I propose Obama had more to do with this than Bush.

For the past several weeks, Obama has raised unnecessary fear about this economy. Even as some signs of the recession starting to turn with yesterday's news of home sales increasing, Obama continues to draw a negative results with his less than hopeful rhetoric. Obama continues to talk doom and gloom; perhaps, he isn't all that he promised he was when he was on the campaign trail and seemed to have a plan. Obviously, he resorted to talk down the economy which has worsened simultaneously with the rhetoric to cover his inexperience. Where's the hope? It's gone--dead!

We see government studies of Bush stimulus checks show they did little to stimulate the economy. Now, the government is passing out stimulus as bailouts, and they are doing less to stimulate the economy than Bush's stimulus checks. Obama's ignorant of the fact that if he just sits back it will heal faster than if the government tinkers with it. Obama is a lawyer and a community organizer, not an economist. He's also a socialist well versed in Sal Alinsky rhetoric. I think he knows exactly what he's doing in order to claim more power--the power of American industry and financial institutions. No wonder Pelosi says she's willing to increase the bailouts if needed.

The second part of the Obama equation is he wants to pass the blame to Bush. He believes if he continues to say things like this is far worse than expected, people will point the finger at Bush and the Republicans, hoping the Democrats gain strength. The truth is the President has up until this point had little to do with the health of the economy. The best thing a President can do is lower taxes and stand out of the way. Obama and the Democrats want the crowning power. Well, this is where the blame comes from for increased layoffs. You draw from life the energy you put into life.

Obama continues to use negative energy which results in the negative job losses. Obama's hysteria forces companies to make cuts for these tough times ahead. If Obama used a different tone, perhaps, some jobs may have been cut, but not the nearly 100,000 jobs we saw cut yesterday with more to come.

Remember, we were going to try to keep score. Obama promised three million new jobs, and he's already buried in a deep hole. These new job losses happened on his watch. I suggest he start saying some positive things to avoid further job losses. I tend to believe the owner of my company on this one, and since our company continues to grow rapidly, they have made this economy worse than what it really is. We know they reasons to do so and it revolves around power. The government wants to force more dependency on its people. Watch in the coming weeks. If Obama continues citing the economy is worse and worse in order to save himself from his own campaign promises, there will be more massive job cuts. It's the law of attraction.

Obama Quickly Defeats Our Current Foreign Policy

If you weren't mad at Obama yet, it's time to sit down and take a deep breath before you read further. When Obama opens his mouth, he weakens the presence of the United States in the World. Yesterday, Obama interviewed with Dubai-based Al-Arabiya cable network.

Obama continues to show his inexperience and naivety. Consider this statement, "all too often the United States starts by dictating." Mr. Obama, are you that stupid? There is a huge difference between dictating and looking out for our best interest. Apparently you haven't figured out yet there are people in these countries that burn your image and want to destroy you. You either stand up to it to prevent it, or you look away and wait for people to die. Far too long, American leaders looked away while not standing up to the threat, and Americans died.

He celebrated the closure of Guantanamo, and cited he was raised in a Muslim family. "My job to the Muslim world is to communicate that the Americans are not your enemy." I hope he remembers in his Kumbaya bliss, we didn't search for these enemies. They found us, and they continued to bomb us. The goals of the Muslim world are similar to the goals of the Chinese--to restore their dominance in the world. I think it's dangerous to admit to radical Islam things that are simply not true.

Admiral James Stockdale Provides the Local Roads Report: Freezing Rain in Southwest Missouri

There's lots of ice outside today, it's cold, and there's more freezing rain on the way. Admiral James Stockdale provides this mornings road report for those living in the frozen parts of Missouri. Coincidentally, he might be referring to Al Gore as well.

The War on Carbon Dioxide Has Begun

The forecast for Al Gore's trip to Washington looks bleak. Frozen temperatures driving freezing rain or snow may postpone Gore's kickoff of Obamaviromentalism. Obama has already discussed many of the environmental changes coming based on an unproven science that even many scientists disagree with claiming it is media and politically driven. In fact, because of the lack of sunspots in 2008, some scientists believe, based on prior records, we may be heading towards a cold period.

Obama doesn't want to listen to those scientists. There's no money in a cooling earth, but there is money to be made taxing in the name of global warming. Obama's stimulus plan doesn't reflect free market principles, but it does include billions spent for a science most Americans no longer believe according to the Pew Research Center.

There's two items to remember about green. The first is green takes green, in other words, the government prepares to increase income to the treasury through taxing in the name of green. The second item to remember is green is the new red. The environmental movement is an attack on American industries designed to remove our dominance in the world. The sad thing is, it's working.

During Obama's first week in office, he quickly reversed President Bush's rejection of California's request to impose stricter emissions standards in California. Obama gave the EPA allow California to impose its own emission standards. I have no doubt Obama will force a the struggling industry to abandon their current models for smaller cars American don't want. Federal laws will soon follow regulating CO2 emissions from automobiles.

Obama's plan will be counterproductive to the economy he vowed to fix. The Big Three's profits come from SUVs, trucks, and larger cars. There is little margin in the cars most American don't wish to drive, and high gas prices last summer left the profitable cars on the lots and GM and Chrysler in line begging for bailouts.

Obama's administration will be the first to regulate emissions. Past administrations focused on fuel economy to reduce emissions. I look for the price of cars to rise with more government regulations, which won't help a sluggish economy.

Obama hopes to raise CAFE standards to 42.5 mpg by 2020, which is a great thought, but considering today’s small cars are not achieving even close to 40 mpg, safety will be compromised. Will Americans want to drive cars smaller than the Honda Fit (EPA estimated 28 mpg city/35 hwy/31 combined for base Fit with automatic transmission), especially if they carry the AD-36 virus? They may not even be able to fit inside. Obama may act as soon to require major changes in the 2011 models. This spells disaster for Detroit.

The only possible way to increase fuel economy to those levels is through hybrids, and I am not convinced Obama knows what to do with all the batteries which will need disposed of. Replacing the battery is a huge expense, on that many consumers may need a bailout for once their batteries die. Obama obviously hasn't considered the energy lost from the battery. Anytime energy is stored in a battery, there is always a significant amount of loss.

Obama knows Detroit may be the loser in the end. "Our goal is not to further burden an already struggling industry, it is to help America's automakers prepare for the future." His statement pads the reality of these changes.

Anyone with the even the slightest bit of common sense knows California’s demand for SUVs, minivans, and cars to reduce their CO2 emissions by 30 by 2016 will cost billions in design changes, engineering, and research. The care companies are broke. It's not clear what Obama's clear goal is with Detroit, but more regulations means more government which is clearly the eventual goal.

Obama's CAFE standards are by far the most aggressive ever. He adds an extra 7.5 mpg over Bush's plan by 2020. If there is once clear development of the Obama administration, it’s that he is going to cost consumers more with higher prices as well as taxes.

The Reagan Quote of the Day (1/27/09)

We are a nation that has a government -- not the other way around. And this makes us special among the nations of the Earth. Our government has no power except that granted it by the people. It is time to check and reverse the growth of government which shows signs of having grown beyond the consent of the governed.

One Man, Many Taxes, 365 Days: Day 26

Screw Obama and his sacrifices which are really new taxes.

In case you are new to my blog, let me explain what I am doing. I have long known the government gets too much of my money. I am willing to bet they get too much of yours too. They call this thievery, taxes. Most of us don't realize how much we are actually paying in each year because there are so many forms of thievery and it's taken by us little by little. So I thought why not record how much I pay in total taxes for one year in hopes it will wake a few people up.

Here in Springfield, Missouri, voters prepare to go to the polls next week to vote on the largest single sales tax increase in the history of the city. Here we are 26 days into the year, and I am on pace to pay over $1400 in sales taxes this year, and that's providing I don't make any major purchases like a car. If the sales tax passes, that $1400 just became $1540, and the worst part of it, the money I use to buy things and pay sales taxes is already taxes.

I am an average guy, college educated, making an average American living. I'd be making a much better living if the government would keep their hands out of my pocket. It's time to speak up. It's time to be patriotic, right Joe? I pay more than my fair share, and I will be heard!

Each night, we tally the total of the new taxes I paid. Here's the totals:

I work hard too hard to have this much work stolen from me.

Springfield, Missouri Sales Tax Proposal: Get off the Keyboard, You Have Just Embarrassed Yourself

The Springfield, Missouri sales tax debate leading into next week's election is capturing the interest of many in southwest Missouri. The News-Leader's Voices page today really makes me wonder about the logic people use to decide their votes.

Take for instance today's letter from Ryan Cooper of Springfield. Ryan's letter starts off with all the reasons, many I have mentioned, why you should oppose the sales tax proposal. The sales tax proposal is the single largest sales tax increase in Springfield's history. Cooper is correct stating the following:

  • For every $100 you spend, you are taxed an additional $1.
  • Like this blog, he shows how much more you will pay to purchase a $25,000 car--$250. (Do you read this blog regularly Ryan?)
  • He argues Greg Burris is crazy to try to pass such a large sales tax increase when the economy has slowed.
  • He provides information that the last sales tax increase passed just two years ago, which is consistent with what this blog has said all along. Once they pass the first, it's never enough. They will come back for more.
  • This tax increase is 12X more, which he says is a harder pill to swallow. (All tax increases are hard to swallow Ryan.)

After pointing out all these things, Cooper asks the reader vote yes for the sales tax, and then points out that even if it passes the city needs to make deep cuts. I'm sorry Ryan, but why doesn't the city show us they are committed to making serious cuts before asking us for more money. You have your priorities reversed on this one. You shouldn't have pointed out all the reasons why someone should vote against it to attempt to win your argument. GAME OVER DUDE!

Cooper argues the pension must be funded. Well, I spoke with a friend of mine who is a Springfield police officer. I found out two interesting points that Cooper fails to tell you. My friend pays into his pension. The pension is similar to a 401K. His is down, and so is mine. Up until I spoke with him, I thought this pension plan was funded directly from the city. Frankly, he wasn't concerned if it failed. He said with prices of everything so high right now, he couldn't personally ask for that large of an increase.

Did you know they don't have to pay into Social Security because of their pension? Gee, I wish I had that convenience. Cooper is asking me to pay the additional 1% while also paying Social Security tax and into my 401K, and I am supposed to feel sorry for the Police and Firefighters who aren't victims of a broken Social Security plan. Guess who's getting the raw deal? The people forced to pay into Social Security get the raw deal, not the police or firemen.

Below Cooper's letter is Jennifer Farquhar's letter. Her letter is the perfect example why this country is on the fast track to socialism.

Here's an excerpt:

Ten years ago, I was paid more as a telemarketer and received better benefits and retirement than most police officers and firefighters receive. It just doesn't make sense.

Sure it does Jennifer. You dumb down telemarketer as if it is a disease. A telemarketer is nothing more than a sales rep who sits in a cubicle and sells over the phone. If you were making more than a police officer or fireman, it because you produce more than a police officer or fireman and your employer saw value in you and rewarded you for your hard work. It's simple. Government jobs don't pay because you aren't producing anything. The government doesn't make profits from their work. They have to steal money from the collective, which is what a sales tax is. Remember that if you are supporting Obama's stimulus plan. It's the number one reason it's not going to work.

The News-Leader blindly prints Farquar's statement about her benefits being better. However, Farquar is immediately 6% in the hole without any benefits paid out. They take Social Security out of her check, and the police and the firemen get to pay what the select into a nice pension fund that supposed to grow if it's managed properly. So I wonder what these benefits are she speaks of?

Springfield, you just passed a sales tax increase two years ago. That wasn't enough. Now they want more, a lot more. Make them responsible for your money before you give them more of your money. Vote no a week from Tuesday.

Michelle Obama Upset with Obama Girl Dolls: A Double Standard of the Media and Presidential Children

Michelle Obama wasn't upset with the paper dolls of her husband. In fact, I have never heard her complain about one single Obama piece of merchandise that has been shoved down our throats and cheapened the Office of the Presidency. Obviously manufacturers are running out of ideas while attempting to further cash in on Obama hysteria.

Meet Sweet Sasha and Marvelous Malia (Obama). Ty, makes of Beanie Babies, made the dolls. Michelle Obama issued a statement. "It is inappropriate to exploit young private citizens for marketing purposes." Of course, NBC's Today Show for the most part agrees.

This new mentality, demonstrated by the Today Show, is a far cry from a media which chased the Bush twins all over Washington and college hoping to embarrass President Bush. Al Roker said it would lessen the sting if the dolls were used to raise money for charity. Unreal! Obviously Democratic kids are off limits, but Republican kids are fair game. (I don't advocate any Presidential kids to be subject to the media, but there is obviously a double standard.)

Senator Oprah?: Blago's Dianne Sawyer Interview Gimmick

Rod Blagojevich attempted to appeal to bleeding heart Oprah Winfrey fans. In an interview earlier today with Dianne Sawyer, Blagojevich claims he considered Oprah for the Illinois Senate Seat. If this isn’t the biggest bunch of pathos caca I have ever heard, then I don’t know what is. This is a shameful attempt to get the sympathy 'Oprah women' everywhere.

I know the Democrats want this guy to shut up. I hope he keeps talking.

Blagojevich said he didn’t move forward with Oprah because it seemed like a gimmick, but the real gimmick is this is coming to light today. The Blago story gets crazier by the hour.

Obesity Virus?: Today's Announcement May Change Everything

Professor Nikhil Dhurandhar will announce today obesity is a virus that is passed like the common cold. Duhurandhar claims the virus, known as AD-36, forces fat cells to multiply.

"When this virus goes to fat tissue it replicates, making more copies of itself and in the process increases the number of new fat cells, which may explain why the fat tissue expands and why people get fat when they are infected with this virus," Dhurandhar said.

Will this finding prevent the government from forcing a fat tax on its citizens? Now obese people will claim it's not their fault despite their diets and lack of exercise, which may change the way government views obesity. I wonder how Pelosi will react to this news considering her comments with George Stephanopoulos yesterday. Obviously the Twinkie Tax may have its complications after today. In fact, any further talk of an obesity tax should be considered cruel with this finding. This will just be the start of it. Obama can add to his stimulus package after today's announcement with health care and education programs.

I have my doubts in the finding. Exercise and a healthy diet is the best path to health, and those two elements often are absent in American lives.

Sexing Up the Economy with Contraception: Pelosi's Twisted Views on Stimulating the Economy

In an interview this weekend, Nancy Pelosi defended Obama's stimulus package, which includes funding for family planning. Family planning is the politically correct, liberal endorsed, feel-good way to say abortions and contraception. During yesterday's interview with George Stephanopoulos, Pelosi commented "contraception will reduce costs to the states and to the federal government."

Now this could be taken several ways, but I am going to allude that this could be a racial statement, referring to runaway welfare in the inner cities. For years, the welfare program has encouraged young women to have babies and get on the welfare roles all so Democrats can harvest votes from the womb. Now Pelosi realizes we are broke, so Congress needs to put the brakes on traditional Democrat programs. How else would you interpret it?

Well, the family planning services reduce cost. They reduce cost. The states are in terrible fiscal budget crises now and part of what we do for children's health, education and some of those elements are to help the states meet their financial needs. One of those - one of the initiatives you mentioned, the contraception, will reduce costs to the states and to the federal government.

There's also the coming green aspect to all of this, but I honestly believe this is a racially driven, welfare argument. Here's an idea, why not just teach abstinence, cut welfare, and not reward young kids for sexing it up and getting pregnant. Oh, that's right, that would be controversial and might push religious beliefs, so Pelosi skates with more stupidity.

It's Amateur Hour in Washington: If I Hear Republican Cheer, The Republicans will Receive less Applause from Me

Obama declared war on conservatism last week begging the Republicans not to listen to Rush Limbaugh. I eagerly await Rush's monologue today, but I cannot wait for action considering what these words mean. Clearly, Obama hopes to limit the debate so his stimulus package passes through Congress without many Republican eyes on its thousands of pages . Obama knows Limbaugh and the rest of conservative talk shows are ready to dissect in full the caca that is the stimulus package.

Now the Congressional Republicans face the test that will define who they are in 2009. If they take the time to discover the wasteful spending and freedom-robbing big government in the stimulus package and provide solid resistance, they become my heroes of the first quarter. If they appease Obama, turn off their radios which not only contain Rush's voice, but our voices as well, and pass the stimulus package with little resistance, it's time to send them some of the love in return.

For the first time during Presidential election, since earning a solid income, I debated sending money to the Republican presidential candidate. John McCain often spit on my conservative beliefs to appease his Democrat friends. Suddenly, Sarah Palin appeared, and I made the donation call to an unappreciative McCain campaign worker. A few days later I was on McCain's mailing list, well Clay Bowler wasn't on the list--Clay Foller was. After spelling my last name three times, he still messed it up. I wasn't impressed. Too bad they managed to process my credit card with the misspelling.

When I look back, I wish I had kept my money and sent McCain and the Republicans a message that I don't approve of the direction they have steered the party. This isn't the Republican party I so passionately defended as a Reagan teenager. They forgot the message of Reagan, and I haven't been impressed with many of the cowards I have seen with elephants behind their names.

I call on each and everyone of you. If the Republicans close their eyes in the spirit of bipartisanship and pass a stimulus package and allow amateur hour to continue in Washington, send a message to the RNC and the Republicans in Congress by stopping any donations you make to the party, specifically Congressional Republicans who support the stimulus.

We are wrapping up the first week of the Obama administration, surely the Republicans can see now it's amateur hour in Washington. They should proceed carefully and fight for a package that will allow the free markets to save the economy. If they don't, I am done.

The Reagan Quote of the Day (1/26/09)

For decades, we have piled deficit upon deficit, mortgaging our future and our children's future for the temporary convenience of the present. To continue this long trend is to guarantee tremendous social, cultural, political, and economic upheavals. You and I, as individuals, can, by borrowing, live beyond our means, but for only a limited period of time. Why, then, should we think that collectively, as a nation, we are not bound by that same limitation?

One Man, Many Taxes, 365 Days: Day 25

Screw Obama and his sacrifices which are really new taxes.

As politicians complain and describe the economy as dire, I look at my tax bill at the year and wonder how much better of the economy would be had the free market the same opportunity at the $2,600 taken from me. I bet there would be true job creation, not in the government sector, but where it really matters. Sit and think about that now that Obama has attacked the strong voice of conservatism.

Taxes and Obama suck!

Pelosi Wants More Bailout for the Banks

Nancy Pelosi appears to be a popular figure on the Sunday talk shows. The botox lips were at it again this morning discussing the possibility of more bailout money for the banks. She said, "some increased investment" may be needed.

First, the word investment bothers me. The government shouldn't invest. It's the job of the free market to invest, so that should scare anyone with any common sense. I think she knows exactly what's going on. They know they are buying the banks to further nationalize the economy. I am not mistaken by her words. (It's ironic Bruce Springsteen's guest DJing on E-Street Radio on Sirius and he decides to play Jarvis Cocker's Running the World as I write about Nancy Pelosi; although, Springsteen had a different, former leader in mind when he played it. Sprinsteens theme is farewell to the former administration. I am offended either way, honestly. It's Ironic, none-the-less.) At least give Pelosi credit. She's not hiding the agenda anymore.

What really bothers me is the first $700 billion hasn't solved the world's problems. Credit is tighter than ever, and now according to Drudge, Iceland's government has fallen. Pelosi and the Democrats created no over site mechanisms; of course, we should be used to this, right Barney Frank? Last I heard, the Dummycrats had no tracking of where the money went and how it was used. They gave too much power to Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson, and now we pay a higher cost.

Even the United Arab Emirates is Cold

Someone get Al Gore on the phone and alert him he needs to escape the soon to fail carbon credits business and begin setting up frozen hydro removal businesses across the United States and in the United Arab Emirates. Where, despite Gore's doom and gloom, it snowed for the second time in the country's history.

The Arab nation dropped below freezing and started to see bits on snow in the afternoon. By eight o'clock there was snow on the ground in the desert nation. I hope the palm trees survived! The snow covered an area of about three miles and was about four inches deep.

I Thought it Was Patriotic to Dissent: Apparently Not in the Times of Obama

The past eight years in American politics can be best summed up in a quote I recall from Hillary Clinton that went something like this. “Dissentt is the highest form of patriotism.” It’s amazing how quickly these politicians, media, and Hollywood realized truths change in just a few days.

A few days ago, Rush Limbaugh beat me to the punch to a blog subject I was collecting my thoughts on. I hope Barack Obama fails. I sat in my office listening to Rush say the same thing I was working on writing and defending. Of course, Rush says it better than I ever could have.
Now we see another bias of the media in play. Not that we are not used to this bias. The medial loves to play little snippets of Rush, Ann Coulter, and other controversial conservatives without playing the entire transcript about the comment. Of course most Americans hear only what the media wants them to hear.

For years, too many liberals got away with the hate they said in context which disrespected our President, and they wished our President to fail through mere stupidity and out of vengeance of a close election. Now, with Obama in office, each person who says anything derogatory of Obama receives the media’s careless inspection. Erich ‘Mancow’ Muller spent most of his show on Thursday, examining was Rush in the wrong. Far too many conservative voices, including Mancow’s brother, Mark Muller, who recently was attacked by the media for giving away a new rifle with each new car he sold, agreed Rush was out of line.

Mark Muller’s comment shocked me. Rush has explained himself over and over. It’s the same view that I share with Rush as I was developing my arguments. We don’t want the government nationalizing health care and other industries. Just like I wanted Hillary Care to fail, I want Obama’s campaign platform to fail. None of are saying we hope the country collapses under Obama’s watch, but there are some serious issues that will arise if Obama is allowed to spread his vision of America. Surely Mark Muller understands this.

We have already seen Obama, without much thought, sign an executive order closing Guantanamo, where the US government houses many dangerous Al Qaeda members. Obama doesn’t have a clue where he’s going to put this scum. He just wants his liberal constituents to be happy, and that’s dangerous reason to shape policy. Placing blind faith in a leader in hopes he will succeed is crazy, especially when you know his philosophies are wrong.

I do hope Obama fails in nationalizing health care. I don’t ever want to face the situation where we ration health care, and I have some government official telling me I am not worthy to receive care because of my age, race, or even blog content. Look at other countries like England who have nationalized health care and ask why people fly to India for treatment. The answers are clear it doesn’t work. I agree with Rush. If Obama passes a nationalized health care plan, it will be the end of America as we know it.

I don’t agree with Obama’s immigration plans. Why should I hope he succeeds? Illegal immigration has destroyed the economy of California. Illegal aliens use the system, get paid under-the-table, and become a huge cost for businesses and the government. California’s liberal policies have attracted more illegals while forcing taxes up. Businesses have closed down and moved to other states. Now Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger is begging for bailout money. Who’s going to bail us out when the increase in illegals occurs as Mexico falls and Obama’s waves them across? The Democrats designed this political move designed to maintain their power. It’s not worth the cost to the taxpayers in this country. How could anyone with any common sense what Obama to succeed with this?

There are many that hope the Obama philosophies fail to make a footprint in our government. The media isn’t going to celebrate descent. Those days died last week. They portray we are unified under Obama, and that is a slap in the face to those who question does Obama have our best interests in mind. Clearly he doesn’t, so I hope he fails.

The Reagan Quote of the Day (1/25/09)

There are no such things as limits to growth, because there are no limts on the human capacity for intelligence, imagination, and wonder.

The Presidential Mole: Just a Question to Ponder

When the liberals achieve one of their short-term goals and allow the Obama monument, Obama coinage, and the Obama stamp, do you think the monument and the coins will include a bump next to his nose? I'm hoping hair starts growing out of the presidential mole before these four years are over. That may change everything, especially with the new high def regulation.

One Man, Many Taxes, 365 Days: Day 24

Screw Obama and his sacrifices which are really new taxes.

I had to pay a 26 cent tax on toilet paper today. Which basically means the government has no shame. They even tax you to wipe your butt! No wonder Sheryl Crow has reduced to using just one sheet.

The government event taxes you to wipe your butt.

Jay Nixon May be About to Break His Recent Education Promise

In less than a week, Jay Nixon casts doubt on his promise to the state's university and schools not to cut their state funding if they promise to maintain current tuition rates. On Tuesday, Nixon plans to announce $261 million in budget cuts. Governor Nixon was asked twice if higher education budget cuts were included in his plan. Both times, Governor Nixon never ruled out cuts to higher education.

No doubt Nixon feels confident after visiting three campuses earlier this week that college kids bought into his rhetoric and now may face the real possibility there is no way around not making cuts to higher education. Nixon shamefully avoided the question at first. Eventually answered it by saying I can never say never.

Before Nixon went parading to these universities, he should have had his act together. It's starting to appear Missouri is ran by an unsure amateur much like our nation is now. No doubt Nixon was looking for positive press early on in the week, and then managed to get by the truth being printed until the weekend. It's obvious our eyes need to be kept on Jeremiah Nixon. He's obviously has a problem with the truth. Of course, we shouldn't be surprised. Nixon lied about Governor Blunt to position himself for the Governor's Office.

Non-Violent, Politically Correct War: What's the Point?

Do you remember playing the card game War when you were a kid? The rules were simple: divide the cards evenly, slap down either one card at a time or three cards with the bottom card being the attack card, and the highest valued card takes the stack. If there was a tie, you laid down more cards so the stakes were higher.

When I played the game with my sister Kim, I never envisioned Jacks were bunker-buster bombs and Kings were nuclear ICBMs ready to the fingers off my sister who at the time annoyed me. It was just a silly game to pass the time on a rainy day or when Jimmy Carter was on TV. The games never erupted in any violence. My sister and I are competitive, but we never slapped each other around playing.

Leave it to the liberals to take a perfectly silly card game to spread their message. I was shopping today at Walmart, looking for An American Carol on DVD. After I picked it up, I walked into the toy stories and stopped at the games section. For some unknown reason, the card section drew my attention, and there they were--a deck of cards with liberal fingerprints all over them.

Non-Violent, Politically Correct War is the liberal version of the classic card game. I took the following description off a Web site which sells the game:

War has dramatically changed over the years, but the card game that bears its name hasn't until now. For the first time, War incorporates Love, Peace, Diversity, and Unity. Players compete to get rid of their cards first, while trying to avoid the heavily-armed Joker (the weakest card in the deck).

The key differences between this game and standard War are:

  • The Joker is the lowest card in the deck - it loses to every other card.

  • When players put down cards of the same rank, instead of having a "war" right away, they cooperate and by trading decks, then have a war. (I have no clue what the point to this is. I thought the idea was to live in peace, not have wars.)

  • The first player to get rid of all his/her cards wins.

The suits are of different icons (peace symbols, unity symbols, hearts with an arrow through it, etc) from a normal deck of cards and the deck includes one blank card which can be used to replace a lost or damaged card OR create a new wild card.

GE (Parent of NBC) Down 44%: It Couldn't Happen to a Better Bunch of People

It's only fitting that a company who wishes to risk American interests by selling military technology to Iran, as well covers the paychecks of Chris Matthews and Keith Olbermann, has tanked 44% in stock value. I tend not to root against American companies, but I find the antics of General Electric deserving of the discomfort their CEO and board members must be currently feeling.

General Electric is the parent company of the biased folks at NBC. In their moment of despair, I offer this advice. It's time to make cuts to insure your stockholders better days are ahead for GE. I would start with the newsless news organization at NBC. Shut Brokaw up and you save a couple of million. Chris Matthews must learn Obamagasms running up his leg may be the image NBC wants, but your stockholders obviously aren't impressed with Matthew's high school crush on Obama. While you are at it, Andrea Mitchell needs to go. I don't even like when Rush Limbaugh mimics her. She is so annoying that even parodies of her annoy.

If General Electric straightens itself up by cutting off Iran and getting rid of the trash at NBC and MSNBC, I might invest in the company and wish for a healthy return. Until then, I will just watch and laugh and continue my boycott of GE Products.

Hickory Hills Junior High School Funding Problem Should Alarm Springfield, Missouri Sales Tax Supporters

If I was a Springfield voter who supports the upcoming sales tax proposal, I would look closely at the front page of the Springfield News-Leader today. The new Hickory Hills School faces a funding problem. The Springfield school district budgeted construction of the new school with optimism the old school would have sold by now. Due to a slow economy, the old Hickory Hills School has not sold.

How will Hickory Hills School face their funding shortage? With the unclear direction of our economy, it's unlikely the school will sell anytime soon for what the original budget needed. At this time, I would be a little worried that their budget miscalculation will eventually show up in the property tax assessments to cover the cost of the new school.

Looking at the artist's rendering of the school, it's obvious school officials could look to make cuts to the project and live on a tighter budget. The new Hickory Hills School claims it will be Springfield's greenest school. As with everything green I have seen, that means higher costs. Maybe they should start there. Of course, that's never the answer when the government envisions a project. They will find more money to fund the school and eventually it's coming out of the pockets of all Springfieldians.

Springfield's neighbors in Ozark face a similar problem. Poor planning has the Ozark district discussing the possibilities of building a second high school, since the new Ozark High School, built just four years ago, faces future crowding problems. A school less than five-years-old should have planned more accordingly. Missourians need to demand responsible planning by their government officials, or they will face skyrocketing property taxes. Springfield needs to consider this as they go to the polls to vote on the sales tax issue.

Why We Fight: An Excellent Blog from Andrew Klavan

This is by way of a friendly response to the estimable Jay Nordlinger, Senior Editor at the likewise estimable National Review. Jay wrote a strong column yesterday openly saying what I’ve been hearing many conservatives express tacitly ever since the election. Reflecting on the media’s disgraceful distortion of the characters of George W. Bush, Dick Cheney and Sarah Palin, he wrote:

“It seems to me that the Left has won: utterly and decisively. What I mean is, the Saturday Night Live, Jon Stewart, Bill Maher mentality has prevailed. They decide what a person’s image is, and those images stick. They are the ones who say that Cheney’s a monster, W.’s stupid, and Palin’s a bimbo. And the country, apparently, follows.”

I’ve been hearing and reading prominent conservatives and Republicans say nearly as much on television, in print and in private conversation ever since the election. They say Sarah Palin can never make a comeback. They say the fight for small government has been lost. They say we can’t have immigration reform that protects our borders. They say we have to distance ourselves from “embarrassing” commentators like Rush Limbaugh or Ann Coulter.

No, no, no, no. What the right is experiencing at the moment is a phenomenon called “cultural para-stimuli.” You can read all about it in Tom Wolfe’s wonderful novel I Am Charlotte Simmons. It’s sort of like peer pressure on steroids. It was discovered by Nobel Laureate Victor Ransome Starling, who found that when he surrounded normal cats with cats whose behavior had been bizarrely altered by brain surgery, the normal cats began acting like the crazy cats all around them.

That’s us–surrounded by the mainstream media. So steeped are we now in their lies about our representatives, their ridicule of our commentators, their demonizing dismissal of the causes we know are just, that we’ve begun to adopt their attitudes toward ourselves! And perhaps chief among the lies they’ve sold us is the lie that they’ve won, that the media are theirs for good and all, and that Americans are going to be hoodwinked and brainwashed by their constant barrage of misinformation forever.

Well, only if we let them. And only if we in the media surrender first.

Look, the American media are in a bad way, a disastrous way. Movies, TV, literature–instead of illuminating vehicles for art and entertainment, they’ve become like the Matrix, replacing reality with a plausible leftist imitation. Journalists especially have so shamed themselves in their coverage of the last election–hounding Sarah Palin’s daughter and Joe the Plumber while all but ignoring Barack Obama’s ties to Illinois corruption, and his long and deep association with the racist anti-American Jeremiah Wright–that it’s going to take them years to recover. When people shame themselves that badly, they don’t admit it in a hurry. They savage their critics instead and continue their own shameful practices as a kind of defiant denial–anything rather than look in the mirror and confront what they’ve turned themselves into.

So yeah, we’re on our own for now. But we’re not unarmed and we’re in no way defeated. We have great politicians like Sarah Palin–who could well be president in not eight years but four–honest newsmen like Bret Baer and genius commentators like Rush–and Ann Coulter, who’s only about ten times smarter, funnier and more talented as a satirist than Jon Stewart or Bill Maher will ever be. The left can’t out-argue these mind-warriors so they try to ridicule, disdain and isolate them, to make us feel ashamed that we admire and respect them. And they tell us they’re finished, washed-up. Why, just look, it must be true: it’s right there in the newspapers and on TV.

They’re lying. The left has to lie for the simple reason that they’re wrong and we’re right, their policies don’t work and ours do. Look at the cities that liberal politicians and programs have devoured like locusts. Look at the liberal states that can’t rein in their spending even as they go broke. Look at how environmentalists have made us energy-slaves to monsters overseas. And look at how leftist, anti-patriotic and anti-religious policies in Europe have turned a once-great culture into a corpse that is being consumed by Islamo-fascist bacteria as we watch.

Hey, listen, our soldiers have to get shot at in the cause of liberty. All we in the media have to do is keep telling people the truth. Lies and insults are all the left has got to sling against us. They only win if we start to believe them.

An Idea for Robert C. Reich (sssshhhhhhhh)

Earlier this week, the Obama administration stunned the nation with Robert C. Reich's (ssssshhhhhh) comment the stimulus plan wasn't going to go to white construction workers. (And the unions still love Barack.) These are the hard workin' white guys who pay their taxes and redistribute their wealth through the nation's federal income tax program to less fortunate people including minorities. Clearly white racisim exists in the Obama administration.

I have an idea for Reich (ssssssshhhhhh). Since I place as much faith in the quality of Obama stimulus program as I put into a Jimmy Carter Habitat for Humanity built house, why not involve Habitat for Humanity to restore the nation's infrastructure. Carter avoids using white union carpenters, union plumbers, and union electricians, Reich (sssssshhhhhhh) should model the program after Carter. I hope the unions are paying attention.

In essence, when Reich (ssssshhhhhh) took white contstruction workers out of the stimulus plan, he removed some of the most qualified people to do the job. This is not to say that black construction workers aren't qualified, but obviously removing a group from qualification because of their skin color isn't an objective way to produce a quality team. We know instantly there are holes in Obama's plan based on this alone. If Obama and Reich (sssssshhhhhh) want to remove qualified workers based on their skin color, they too sacrifice quality. In the end, we may have rat infested infastructure falling apart just like Carter's Habitat for Humanity homes in Florida. Might was well save the money Reich (sssssshhhhhh) and call Carter for the job.

A Call to Lazy Republican Congressmen and Senators: Read Between the Lines

Political lightweight Barack Obama, aka 2009's Jim Jones, may have started a war that ultimately the Fairness Doctrine will be the only weapon he knows he can win with. Yesterday, Obama decided to take on Rush Limbaugh, which many idiots in the Republican party, like Colin Powell already wrote off. As Obama pushed his trillion dollars of stimulus, which should upset any true Republican, Obama forcefully said, "You can't just listen to Rush Limbaugh and get things done."

You Republicans in Congress better realize what Obama really means. Obama knows none of you will never read his bill all the way through, and he knows Rush, Sean Hannity, Mark Levin, Andrew Wilkow, and the rest of the conservatives in talk radio will expose this stimulus plan for the nothing that it is. They will also expose the stimulus plan for all the attachments that will stimulate Democratic power. Pay attention to the attachments. More than likely there will be extras providing an easy path for nationalization of health care, the Fairness Doctrine, and other promises Obama made throughout his campaign. Remember, Rush Limbaugh is not the enemy, Obama is the enemy. Wake up Republicans in Congress!

I for one don't believe Obama has the testicular fortitude to intellectually stand up to Rush Limbaugh. I hope Rush challenges Obama to go on his show on Monday. Noon Monday can't come soon enough.

Bruce Springsteen Discredits the Burdens He Sings Of: Controversy and Ignorance to Sell CDs

It's become cliche. Rock 'n' roll stars, past their prime, look for controversy to gain press. In 2005, the Rolling Stones pushed Sweet Neocon to get their new tour past the pages of Rolling Stone to headline news in papers, Time, and Newsweek. Suddenly the world watches Keith Richards provide political commentary thanks to brilliant (sarcasm) lyrics like:

You call yourself a Christian, I call you a hypocrite/You call yourself a patriot, well I think you’re full of …

The press only gives these artists, who mostly are politically stupid, credibility because of their hatred of conservatism. How could any media member look at Sheryl Crow sharing she only uses one sheet of toilet paper without laughing while figuring out where the stink in the room is coming from? Crow is an idiot if she thinks she is going to save the world by wiping with one sheet, but the press ran with it.

Now a bitter Bruce Springsteen describes what inspired him to write his new CD, Working on a Dream. What Springsteen fails to realize the dream died in 1984, when his anger shined brighter than his music. Although, there have been a few good cuts, nothing comes close to Born to Run. Now he hopes liberals who claim they suffered these last eight years will embrace him if he attacks George W. Bush one more time. Consider this ignorant Springsteen comment.

We've lived through a nightmare like that in the past eight years here. We had a historically blind administration who didn't take consideration of the past; thousands and thousands of people died, lives were ruined and terrible, terrible things occurred because, there was no sense of history, no sense that the past is living and real.

I don't know what world Springsteen lives in, but it's easy to find solid facts the only administration that was blind in the past 16 years, was the Clinton administration. The inability of the Clinton administration approach Al Qaeda as a credible threat to the United States led to thousands of deaths on 9.11. Of course, Springsteen has about 80 minutes on his new CD to rewrite history, as many will now Bush is gone.

We're going through something that we haven't gone through in my life. Foreign policy, domestic policy - driven to its breaking point. Everything got broken.

And the philosophy that was at the base of the last administration has ruined many, many people's lives. The deregulation, the idea of the unfettered, free market, the blind foreign policy. This was a very radical group of people who pushed things in a very radical direction, had great success at moving things in that direction, and we are suffering the consequences.

Why is it reporters even bother including quotes like this in their pieces. Foreign policy, domestic policy driven to its breaking point Bruce? Bush gave up his free market principles, and it's still not enough for you. In the final portion of the Bush administration he pushed government in the radical direction that typically you libs cheer for--more government and less reliance on the free market. If anything, Bruce, I am the one that should be complaining about the radical direction Bush led this country to in his final days. I'm sure the free market upsets you because your recent records need government subsidies to match the successes of the days when you mattered.

You know Bruce, I am willing to bet you are the typical Obama supporter. In April 2008, you said, "[Obama is] head and shoulders above the rest." Why is that? Something tells me your answer would center on he has a jackass behind his name on the TV. I have been watching Obama on TV Bruce, and it's like 57 Channels and Nothing On, no matter what Obama says. I'm willing to bet if I asked you to name five Obama leadership accomplishments that mattered, you couldn't name one outside of his election.

Of course, Bruce proved me right during the interview. Here is Springsteen's psychobabble answer when asked about Obama.

Obama's a unique figure in history. The fundamental American-ness of his story and the fact that he represents for many, many people an image and a view of the country that felt like it was so long missing in action.

His election was an incredible moment for someone who seemed to carry, both seriously, and... not, not lightly but without great burden, enormous parts of American history with him. Enormous and painful parts.

Somebody who can reckon with the past, who can live with the past in the present, and move towards the future - that's fabulous. And for the country to recognise that was a wonderful moment. This place we've been talking about, singing about... it's alive. It isn't dead. It exists.

That dynamic in my life has been a big part of staying alive. Staying present. Not fucking it up too bad at any given time. But it's a day-to-day experience. There's always tomorrow and, hopefully, you can use the word 'hopefully' now. You can live here, and use the word 'hopefully'. So that's pretty nice.

I am saddened reading this. I have loved Springsteen's music for so long, and it was part of my American experience. It's clear Springsteen doesn't understand the American experience. What is the great burden Springsteen talks about? This answer discredits all the great burdens of each cast member he sings about from Asbury Park to Magic. Obama is privileged and never felt the pain to be black in this country, and that came from the mouths of many blacks during the primary season. Obama doesn't even carry slave blood. There's not too many students in this world that can slack off their first two years of college and then be accepted into Harvard Law School without a blink of an eye. What's this burden you speak of Bruce?

Clearly, Springsteen says a whole lot of nothing when it comes to understanding who Obama is. In fact, Springsteen's answer lessens the meaning of his own songs.

The Reagan Quote of the Day (1/24/09)

As I had done in California, I told the staff I wanted them to look for the best people we could find who were willing to leave their homes and their secure positions to come to Washington and give the country a hand. When I'd approach somebody about taking a job, I'd often say, "We don't want people who want a job in government, we want people of accomplishment who have to be be persuaded to come work here."

One Man, Many Taxes, 365 Days: Day 23

Screw Obama and his sacrifices which are really new taxes.

In today's Voices section of the Springfield News-Leader, Mr. Bill Drummond argues that Springfield, Missouri residents lifestyles will be worsened if Springfield fails to increase the sales tax in next month's election. Tonight, I am exhibiting over 2,602 reasons of how my lifestyle was cut into (we aren't even a tenth through the year, either). I find Mr. Drummond's logic that if we don't raise taxes the quality of life in Springfield will decrease to be amongst the craziest arguments to raise taxes. When taxes take away from your gross, how does that improve your lifestyle? I have heard these arguments so many times in Chicago, and the quality of lifestyle never improves with each new tax. People just have to work harder to make ends meet.

No more taxes! No more taxes!

Nazi Poetry in Springfield Attracts International Media: How Sad it is to be Taught to Hate

Visions of the Blues Brothers jumping the bridge in their Mount Prospect police car as the Illinois Nazis jumped into the drink in Skokie had me wondering more about Springfield, Missouri Nazis. (In case you are unaware, in the 70s, the Illinois Nazis went to court to march in Skokie, a Jewish community north of Chicago.) What I found within a few minutes alarmed me. Springfield's Library Station recently hosted a women's meeting of National Socialist Movement.

The event included Nazi poetry, which I can't imagine--a collection of colorful verses describing eugenics and silly Charlie Chaplain mustaches perhaps. The women stood up recited the Nazi pledge and then the Pledge of Allegiance. Then they discussed racial issues to anyone who would listen, mainly white superiority.

To my amazement, a collection of international media showed up, including CBS, the Women's Entertainment Network, and a film crew from France. The Green County sheriff's department was on hand to keep the peace. The event attracted members from around the country including Ami Bostwick of Iowa, who claimed there was one minor problem from someone visiting the library during the meeting. (I think they should have found a different meeting place away from children.)

One of the main issues the group discussed saddens me. The movement wants to direction of the organization to move towards a family atmosphere and include children into the movement. Christina Drake of Jefferson City applauds they are doing a lot more with younger people, citing the group wasn't family oriented when it first started.

You know, I not one who appreciates the work of social workers. Sometimes I believe they push too hard into family problems that should be fixed within the home, but in this case I believe teaching children to hate because of skin color or religion should be considered abuse. A child's heart is pure, and when an adult conditions a child's mind with prejudice, I believe it's a form of abuse. There is nothing family oriented about hate. The very idea of the family is to be a loving environment in which all the people involve grow. I am very saddened by the close mindedness of these people, as well as others (and there are people of all skin colors) who teach hate. I just don't see the point of hating people you have never met.

Friday's Conservative Comedy Releif

Have a great weekend!

Springfield, Missouri Nazis: I Hate Springfield, Missouri Nazis

A Springfield, Missouri neo-Nazi Group, the National Socialist Movement, was awarded two signs and a half-mile stretch of US 160 close to the Springfield city limits. All they have to do is pick up some trash a few times a year to keep their signs. This isn’t the first time a group known for their hateful rhetoric has participated in Missouri’s Adopt-A-Highway program. Missouri awarded Ku Klux Klan group a section of highway based on the First Amendment. (I happen to agree with the ruling.)

I bring this up because the government defends their First Amendment right to post a sign and pick up trash regardless of their rhetoric, while Democrats are working quickly to hush conservatives and Republicans with a new version of the Fairness Doctrine, which is probably ready to be signed into law hidden somewhere in Obama’s stimulus plan. Isn’t it sad how the government goes to lengths to defend free speech for some, but wishes to rob free speech from others like Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity?

I don’t advocate littering, but I think we all could come together, environmentalist included, and be sure to celebrate free speech by giving the Springfield Nazis a little extra work. So if you got a little trash, be sure to celebrate the Nazi’s free speech while it’s being robbed from you.

Another Fast Track Plan to Save the Economy: Be Afraid, Be Very Afraid

Barack Obama is racing through Congress placing pressure on each lawmaker to pass his stimulus plan quickly. This is a common theme in government in recent weeks. If we don’t pass it now, we will face great adversity boarding on collapse. What is it politicians don’t want discovered in legislation like Obama’s stimulus plan?

If we learned anything from recent bailouts, it was the economy didn’t crash when it initially failed, despite Henry Paulson’s warning. We have learned since then, the bailouts don’t appear to be working. More importantly, we learned the government didn’t place any oversight to where the money went and how it was to be used. Now Obama wants to push his stimulus plan with little debate.

From what I have read and heard, there is little in the plan to stimulate the economy. It’s just more needless government spending creating a larger federal government, which doesn't stimulate the free market. If Congress allows Obama stimulus plan to ride the fast track, we will continue to pay the cost of irresponsible government as the economy falters even further. We know why Obama doesn’t want to give Congress the opportunity to read and debate its merits. This is Obama’s fast track to socialism, and Obama worries the truth will be exposed.

Obama Bombs Pakistani Village: It's Time to Charge Obama with War Crimes

Where is the outrage from the liberals? Why aren't they accusing Obama of air-raiding villages and killing innocent civilians? Yesterday, US forces attacked a target in Pakistan--that's right Pakistan. Did you know the war was in Pakistan?

A US spy plane fired missiles at Al Qaeda targets in a village of Zarki near Afghanistan in Pakistan. Officials in Pakistan hoped Obama would cease firing on targets in Pakistan, but obviously it hasn't happened. Hey were, already used to Obama not listening to us in the United States. The last poll I saw supported keeping the dangerous terrorist at Gitmo, and that's not happening either. Get used to it Pakistan. He is, after all, the messiah.

The missile killed seven people. Shouldn't we bring war criminal charges against Obama immediately! We can't put up with this! Can we libs?

Robert Gates: Symbolic Gesture or Wealth of Information?

In a symbolic message of bipartisanship, Obama looked to continue Robert Gates’ service as Secretary of Defense. I know Gates had to have woken today knowing Obama’s gesture was only symbolic. I don’t know how much input Gates had in Obama’s decision to close Guantanamo, but it doesn’t seem likely Obama discussed the issue in much detail with the only Bush official in Obama’s cabinet.

We know the war on terror turned for the better with the transition of Gates into the Secretary of Defense position. Gates provides knowledge that needs to resonate throughout the Obama administration. Whether it will or not, remains to be seen. From what I have seen so far, I have my doubts. Obama’s decision was naïve, and it was only an attempt to please the left-wing pressure Obama faces from Gitmo. Obama offers no solution to a problem that shouldn’t even exist.

I know if I were Robert Gates and my opinion wasn’t sought or considered by Obama, I’d step down. The war on terror is far too serious to watch Obama unravel it in front of the eyes of the Secretary of Defense who has worked hard for a winning solution in Iraq. Gates claims he feels "very comfortable with where the executive order places us." The problem is that it doesn't offer a solution and Gates must know this. His answer seems vague, as if he was ordered to go along with the plan. (Don't want to embarrass the President on his first week, right?) I can’t imagine Gates' opinion agrees with Obama’s decision yesterday. It should be interesting to watch this relationship develop and see if it lasts more than a few months. I bet Gate's days are numbered.

I'm too Good to Pledge Allegiance to my Country, So Let me Pledge to Barack Obama: Celebrities Pledge to their Demagogue

Celebs 'pledge' to support Obama

Celebs 'pledge' to support Obama
(click to watch this shameful rhetoric)

I pledge, to become the person I wasn't when George W. Bush was in office. I pledge to volunteer more and say nice things. I pledge never to give the President the finger. I pledge never to let anyone see the spoiled, rotten, shallow person that I really am as long as Barack Obama is President.

I'm about to pledge to find out what life is like without having to watch Ashton Kutcher pledge to me that he's actually going to try to act now that Obama is President. I am about an inch away from throwing my new hi definition antennae out and not support these ignorant celebrities who pledge only to be decent people when Democrats are in power. For eight years, many, not all, have used their meaningless lives to tell the world how evil the United States is. Now the height of their ignorance is on display as celebrities dance across a screen celebrating Obama. Demi Moore pledge to free a million of people from slavery this year? How ya goin' to do that Demi?

The narcassim in Hollywood runs deep. The many actors and musicians flashing on a gray background pledging ends strangely like a cult message. Not surprisingly considering it's four minutes of Messiah worship after Obama calls to summon a new spirit. None of them have the guts enough that Gary Sinise had to actually make a real difference by going to Iraq and discovering the truth of the civil rights violations of Saddam Hussein. They want to complain about the civil rights violation in America, citing a 200 year old promise to end slavery. They obviously don't realize there is a black Hussein now in a White House.

I have come to the point where I am boycotting stupidity in my life. For far too long actors, actresses, and musicians have dumbed down America with their pathetic attempts at entertainment while pushing the boundaries of what's acceptable for a family to watch together. As they pledge all this family stuff for Obama, maybe they should consider what they put on screen needs to be family friendly. Of course, they wouldn't cut into their own paychecks to meet their pledges. I am sick of cheap Hollywood pathos--hateful when Republicans lead and loving and energetic when Democrats possess power.

Hey Demi, Ashton, and Cameron Diaz, my pledge is the a pledge to my country. It contains the words under God. I don't need to pledge to an antichrist to find meaning in my life. Why don't you try pledging to the country instead? Everyone knows you are only pledging to make the world a better place because Obama won. I'm just curious why you didn't care enough about America to do all these things as America was giving you millions of their dollars--you know Demi, when your career mattered and you didn't have to play the cougar to get a role.

America's Hope: The Division in America is Miraculously Over

I need to quit shopping for a few days. It's enraging me. I am okay until I get to the checkout line and am once again reminded of the love fest for Obama.

At the bottom shelf, how odd, sat a souvenir Obama inauguration edition magazine. A glowing picture of the chosen on graced its cover with the words America's Hope. I look at those two words and see unity that doesn't exist. Not everyones hopeful of Obama, and in fact, many are worried about the freedoms he will soon begin to tinker with. In fact, I am hoping Obama fails. Socialism isn't for me, and it's been a mess everywhere it's been tried.

After the 2000 election, the media demanded George W. Bush to reach across the aisle and embrace Dummycrats like Tom Daschle. After all, as far as the media was concerned, Al Gore was the winner. The media described this country as heavily divided. The tensions of the 2000 recount carried into inauguration day, and they found a way to slyly attack our incoming President every chance they got.

According to the media, it seems the division miraculously disappeared after the election of Obama. The media portrays those who descent as bigots and idiots. The media stirs the pot, taking words out of context, in hopes to belittle the Obama's opposition. The fact still remains. This country is just as divided as it was in 2000. We have elected a Democrat, and the media pushes the idea Democrats need time to grow into their leadership. Republican are bums from day one, unless you are John McCain. John McCain receives bum status only when he runs against the orgasmic brilliance of Obama.

Obviously the Republican leadership is trying to get along to avoid the racist label that's coming no matter how they act. They want to play nice. Republicans still haven't learned the lessons of Bush inviting Ted Kennedy to the White House for a movie, only to watch Kennedy insult Bush shortly after. No matter how nice the Republicans play, they will continue to be urinated on by the Democrats.

The real leadership from conservatives must come outside of the Republican ranks. In 1993, the Clinton administration rolled off it's bus tour to promote Hillarycare, an attempt at nationalizing health care. As various Clinton cabinet members got off the bus, they were received by protesters demanding government keep their hands off of health care. My mother and I participated in one of these protests at St. John's Hospital in Springfield, MO.

Conservatives must show the strength of the divide in American. If we fail, Republican leaders will allow the fast track of the Obamanation of America. It's time to get vocal. It's time they hear us. It's not the time to back down in fear of the racist label. We are at a critical point in our nation's history. If we give up easy, life in America may change forever for the worst.

This may be the toughest political battle in our country's history. Obama called for his warriors to prepare after the election, and he called to them again days before the inauguration. They are going to fight our efforts to spread the truth and fight against the Obama regime. You may get discouraged, you must learn to keep your chin up. The war of ideals must be fought head on.

The Reagan Quote of the Day (1/23/09)

When asked about what surprised him the most about the White House, Reagan replied:

The biggest surprises are the leaks. I'll tell you. I've gotten so that I address some things in cabinet meetings to the chandelier. I'm sure it must have a microphone.

Jay Nixon: Cell Phone Nazi?

While many state and local governments work to ban some uses of cell phones, Governor Jay Nixon forced the the media covering the governor to check their cell phones in at the door. Nixon hoped to ban cell phones during his press conferences, but Missouri reporters decided to battle the Democrat governor.

Nixon flirted with the entire media walking out of his press conference. Reporters decided if they couldn't have their cell phones, they weren't staying. Who can blame them? After all, cell phones have become small computers in which reporters need to do their jobs. Other governors allowed cell phones during their press conferences.

Nixon's people claim the new governor wanted their undivided attention, which seems a bit arrogant since the governor's not writing their check. Nixon has backed down and allows the media to carry their cell phones now.

Moamer Kadhafi Gets a Case of the Chris Matthews Tinglies

Call me old fashioned, but I get a little nervous when the political direction of our country draws accolades from Middle Eastern terrorist dictators. Moamer Kadhafi is enthusiastic about Obama and calls this a new America. What baffles me more is why the left-wing institutions known as universities have so much love for these evil regimes that they allow them to address their students.

Obviously the affair between Columbia University and Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has drawn jealousy from Georgetown University. Since Ahmadinejad was obviously busy developing nukes, Georgetown settled for a satellite link with Kadhafi. (Kadhafi is like Fidel Castro. Both these guys were spreading oppression in the world when I was in junior high, and they just won't die--although we can't be totally sure about Fidel.)

Kadhafi expressed positive feelings towards Obama's naive move to close Gitmo. Obviously, Obama's people forgot to tell him that when one of these Middle Eastern hacks applauds the idiotic move you just made, you best reconsider. So the Obamagasms continue to spread, and now terrorist leaders are starting to feel Chris Matthew's tingles running up their legs. Geez!

One Man, Many Taxes, 365 Days: Day 22

Screw Obama and his sacrifices which are really new taxes.

Well, today we found out they are going to let Obama break the rules (no surprise there) and now taxpayers are paying for his Blackberry addiction. Obama and his staff will be able to communicate on more of our dimes. I just hope we have access to his records so we can analyze his mistakes once he's out of office.

In case you missed it, Obama cleared the way for the press to access classified Bush and Cheney documents. No doubt, the media will use them to cover what Obama is really doing. We already know he is so quick to please his liberal buddies, he's closing Gitmo without any plans of what he is going to do with 250 of the most dangerous terrorist alive. Our tax dollars will probably provide them luxury accommodations complete with telephones so they can schedule flight lessons. And you wonder why I am so angry about all of these taxes?

Here's the tally:

Taxes, they never end!

WLSAM, The Big 89, Chicago Offers Governor Rod a Job

WLSAM, Chicago's 50,000 watt talker, on the air today offered Governor Rod Blagojevich a job if he stepped down and save the people of Illinois further costs of impeachment. The station is prepared to produce a show, hire all the necessary people, and give Rod airtime every Sunday on Chicago's station that reaches 38 states. The governor did not reply to the offer, but the cast of characters of WLS from Don Wade and Roma, to Mancow, to Roe Conn had a good time at the governor's expense.

John Stewart Analyzes the Inspiration for Barack Obama's Inauguration Address

I can't believe the liberal Daily Show with John Stewart produced this. Like The Patton Doctrine said, I doubt the libs see much humor in this. Enjoy. It clearly shows that Obama's Inaugural rhetoric may have been inspired by another recent President.

The Springfield News-Leader Creates a Messianic Image of Jay Nixon for College Students

The front page of today's Springfield News-Leader featured Jay Nixon lovin’ pathos. The head line read “Saved from the state cuts.” Below the headline were students walking to class at Missouri State University. It’s easy to draw the conclusion from the misleading front page that these students are only going to school because Governor Jay Nixon came up with a plan.

Missouri’s Republican led legislature is quickly learning that the partisanship they hoped Jay Nixon would provide was just Inauguration Day rhetoric from the new governor. Nixon left the leaders of the state legislature out of the discussions with the education plan, which he presented to Missouri's higher educations centers yesterday.

Don’t you love how the News-Leader presents the story as if these students had no education choices had Nixon not delivered his plan? The whole educational assistance program would have failed had Nixon not come in riding on his horse. Nothing could be farther from the truth. Almost every student at Missouri's colleges have access to federal education assistance. Much like the national media created a messianic image of Obama, the News-Leader is guilty of creating the same image of Nixon. As I mentioned before, students are accustomed to an annual increase in tuition. This is nothing new. Governor Nixon forced the annual increases for taxpayers to pay in exchange for the headline that he saved students from having to quit college.

Notice when it comes to entitlements and programs like education, politicians like Nixon love to say they saved the smaller group a 4% increase for the next fiscal year. When it comes to taxes, the collective must sacrifice 4% of our income so the government can cover the 4% savings of the smaller group. Missourians, you will pay for Governor Nixon’s freeze on tuition increases in state owned colleges regardless of your use of Missouri's colleges.

It’s no wonder the readership in the Springfield News-Leader is shrinking fast. With headlines like these, it's easy to lose your credibility.

Place Gitmo Detainees in Obama’s Backyard Campaign: We Don't Want Dangerous Terrorist in our Backyards!

Well, I can’t help but feel sorry for Peggy Joseph, the woman who thought if she helped Obama, Obama would help her. I imagine Joseph feels disappointed after the first 48 hours of Obama. Obama didn’t put the need to Americans first with his first two days in office. No, Obama placed the needs of terrorist at Gitmo before the needs of people like Joseph.

While Joseph struggles to make her house payment and put gas in her car, the planners of 9.11 and key Al Qaeda members will receive new digs in the United States. Early reports say these terrorist may end up in my back yard in Kansas. Will Obama place Guantanamo detainees at Fort Leavenworth? I live in Missouri, less than 100 miles east of Kansas. I don’t want these dangerous terrorist this close to my neighborhood.

I suggest Obama place them in our nation’s Capitol. It attracts plenty of other criminals, so why not hold them in Obama’s back yard? He was so eager to close Gitmo without a real plan, that I am starting the Place Gitmo Detainees in Obama’s Backyard campaign. Please support me in insisting that Obama and the rest of the Dummycrats hold these prisoners in their city of corruption, not the Midwest. Demand your Congressman to place the Detainees in a cage behind the White House or the Capitol building!

Sorry: Timothy Geithner Now Holds The IRS's Gun

Try to tell the IRS you are sorry if you don't pay your taxes. Watch your life turn to hell. Slavery exists in the United States, and the IRS holds the whip. If you are connected to Obama, like Timothy Geithner, you can say you’re sorry and avoid the whip. Geithner will face little punishment for not paying tens of thousands of dollars in taxes, while Americans who owe as little as $2000 continue to feel punished by the IRS with fees and interest fees. Sometimes it's hard to love your country when you realize this truth. The IRS is our KGB, limiting our lives, our dreams, and our freedoms.

You have no rights to the rewards of your labor. The IRS and Congress take what they want. Over the course of your life, government takes hundreds of thousands of dollars from you in taxes, or in Obama’s words—sacrifices. They take the taxes little by little throughout the year, so you don’t watch them add up.

At the end of the year, if you didn’t pay enough, the IRS expects you to pay the unpaid amount in full. If you don’t, there will be a warrant for your arrest within six to eight months. If you can’t pay it back at once, you they penalize you with interest and penalties which make it nearly impossible to pay the debt back. It’s like a maxed out government credit card without the joy of maxing it out. There is no saying sorry with a reward followed by it.

Timothy Geithner exposes the truth about Obama. He calls for sacrifice; yet, he lets his own off the hook. Those closest to Obama won’t have to sacrifice, but the people Obama claims to care most about will do without many luxuries they work hard for. If Geithner was common, he may face a warrant and jail time. Geithner is part of the Obama machine, and he will not face what average people who owe more taxes face.

Americans should be outraged Geithner is now in charge of the Treasury and the IRS. His supporters claim America needs Geithner. I ask do we need another crooked government official. The man who heads the IRS doesn’t pay his own taxes; yet he will point the IRS gun at any of us if we don’t. Don’t pay your taxes, go to jail. Don’t pay your taxes and know Obama, go to the Obama cabinet. Giethner received approval today. He is now the top cop overseeing America’s KGB.

Andrew Wilkow, host of the Wikow Majority, recently commented on Nancy Pelosi’s new house rules. One of the rules makes it hard for representatives to propose new tax cut bills. Under the new rules, if a representative proposes a tax cut bill for debate, they must also present a tax increase in another sector to offset the lost income of the tax cut. Obviously, Pelosi is out of touch with American history. American evolutionist fought the English over a rum tax. It’s time for a new revolution.

Obviously, the government has continued to grow strong since Abraham’s Lincoln’s decision to counter the South’s secession. We must fight the revolution by outsmarting the tyrants who are in charge, and it’s not hard to outthink them. The issue is creating the movement. The revolution I support is a return to our Constitution and the repeal of the controversial 16th Amendment, which may not have been ratified by two-thirds of the states. There are debates if the 16th Amendment received proper passage.

Americans as a collective, have the perfect legal right that could produce the needed revolution and send a clear message to Congress. If every working American walked into their human resources department and changed their withholding allowances to 20 (which is legal), the government would no longer have the luxury of collecting your tax dollars from your weekly, by-weekly, or monthly checks.

The IRS collects in increments for two reasons. First, if the IRS handed you a large tax bill at the end of the year, chances are your eyes you would open to the evils of the Federal Income Tax. Not only that, but many people wouldn’t have the money in April to pay Caesar what Caesar thinks is his. Secondly, the deductions from your check provide cash flow for the government throughout the year. Switching the deduction to 20 removes the cash flow, forcing the government to tighten their belt.

Come April, if the millions of Americans refused to pay the taxes they owe, it would be impossible to enforce payment of the federal income tax. There isn’t enough IRS personnel to come after every American if we decided not to pay until a fair tax was put in place. Obviously, until most Americans commit to such a plan, this is just a dream, but a dream we could come together to carry out.

As an American, I am sick of the double standard in government that allows Timothy Geithner to skate into the Treasury Secretary despite his wrong doings. If you don’t take a stand now, what are you going to do when the gun is pointed at you demanding your conform?

More Americans Watched Reagan's Inauguration than Obama's

For a country that's unified, Obama's Inauguration television ratings never reached the ratings of Ronald Reagan's. According to Nielsen, 4 million less people watched Obama take the oath. Ronald Reagan's 1981 Inauguration still remains the most watched of all, proving Obama can't touch greatness.

Jay Nixon's Education Plan Raises Tuition for Tax Payers Not Students

I just love how the Democrats build their power. Jay Nixon is no different. Nixon caters to one lessor group while sticking it to the collective. Of course, the media cheers for the lessor group and hides the cost to the collective. Nixon cares! In this case, Nixon cares about the students and sticks it to the taxpayers.

Nixon's plan protects students from tuition increases. Under the plan state universities agree not to raise tuition. Traditionally, universities raise tuition as frequently as every 12 months. Nixon promises the state of Missouri will fund the universities with state money to insure they can operate and offset maintaining the current tuition fees.

Nixon's plan passes off more responsibilities from students (some who live outside of the state who pay higher tuition fees, but will benefit as well) to taxpayers. Many of these taxpayers never stepped foot in a Missouri state owned college or vocational school. Many students already receive government subsidized grants (free money for college at the expense of taxpayers) and government subsidized loans (government pays the interest on the loan until the student leaves school). Now the state subsidizing the schools to help students out even further.

These students may love Nixon now, but one day when they start paying for all these Democrat programs, I hope they finally figure out why their paychecks are reduced to so little. Nixon is visiting three schools in Missouri to discuss his plans. This is nothing more than a campaign stop for 2012. If Nixon really cared about students, he would support across the board tax cuts not just in Missouri, but also federal tax cuts. The government makes it hard for parents to save for college, rainy days, and vacations with the multiple taxes Missourians face every day.

If Democrats Were Really Serious About Lowering Carbon Emissions...

Barack Obama will soon declare war on carbon dioxide. Obama fools many into believing it's for the good of our planet. In reality, it's the gateway for Democrats to create new taxes. If Obama and the Democrats were serious about lowing carbon emissions while sparking the economy, more taxes would never cross
