Scrooge: Harry Reid's Bah Humbug
Senator Harry Reid warned the Senate today they better be ready to put in some weekends in December. There is no time off because healthcare needs to pass this year to give Obama a push he needs—no matter how unpopular it is with the American people. It doesn’t need to be popular—Reid knows they have ACORN to fall back on next November for their yes votes of the unpopular idea to take over the healthcare industry a step at a time.
“There’s not an issue more important than finishing this legislation,” Reid told his colleagues warning them there will be no time to enjoy the Christmas season. They will work seven days a week until they reach an agreement on healthcare. I am frequently reminded of how the criminals leading Congress in 1913 passed the controversial Federal Reserve Act. The similarities are eerie.
Bah Humbug, I don’t care if it’s Christmas, this is not time to focus on anything but Obama’s desires, right Mr. Reid? Obama is the reason for this season—at least according to Reid he is.
It didn’t take long after the debate began for the Democrats to start adding amendments to add to the nearly trillion dollar bill. Senator Barbara Mikulski (D-MD) quickly took the spotlight to win the hearts of women everywhere who are enraged over the relaxed findings about annual breast exams. Mikulski amended the current bill to drive up the costs of the bill through reducing co-pays for and deductibles for preventive services for women like breast exams. All political theater knowing the controversy of the report earlier this month. Oh she cares so much, that she is obviously willing to rack up more debt to pass on to the next generation of Americans. Playing politics isn’t providing practical solutions.
So if anyone asks you who the scrooge of the season is this year, it’s not Jim Carey, Harry Reid is the scrooge.
