War Pig: Obama's October 27, 2007 Promise Comes Back to Bite Him

Interesting how quickly a politician can lie to their most loyal of supporters. The many supporters of Barack Obama should have realized this truth by now--they have been lied to. Of course, many of them lacked the common sense in the first place, and are now waking up finally feeling duped.

Obama's promise on October 27, 2007, to bring the troops home as one of his first actions in the Oval Office is obviously a broken promise. The left-wing peace activist arm of liberalism is finally speaking up.

As Obama escalates the war efforts in Afghanistan, the anti-war crowd in joining Democratic members of Congress in condemning their dear leader's actions. Even Michael Moore is angry at Obama.

"I simply can't believe you're about to do what they say you are going to do," Moore said in an open letter to Obama posted on his Web site. Moore warned that Obama would become known as the new "war president" by sending the additional troops.

"With just one speech tomorrow night you will turn a multitude of young people who were the backbone of your campaign into disillusioned cynics. Your potential decision to expand the war ... will do more to set your legacy in stone than any of the great things you've said and done in your first year."

I think Moore suffered from delusion in the last part of this paragraph, as I am not sure what great things he is referring to. Maybe it's the very best of Obama's presidency, which I posted earlier today.

"For the sake of your presidency, hope, and the future of our nation, stop. For God's sake, stop," Moore wrote.

MoveOn.org is also begging Obama to bring the troops home and stop the quagmire in Afghanistan. Code Pink is requesting that people protest Obama's speech--before, during, and after. Democratic members of Congress are also opposing Obama's plans.

I myself don't believe that Obama has the kahoneys to finish the war with a victory. I still believe he is willing to risk more American lives for politics as usual as he looks for an exit strategy to blame Bush to save him from having to play president for real with this war. Obama is and always has been incapable of tough decisions--which we learned with his repeated present vote in the Illinois State Senate.

One thing is for sure about Obama, he's not only good at dividing the country--he has also become very good at dividing his own party and his core of looney liberal constituents. This is good news as even they are starting to wonder who in the hell they really voted for. Let me remind them one more time of October 27, 2007.

  1. Is it bad that I want to hug Obama every time he screws up because it just proves me right?
