Florida Police Seek Warrant for Tiger Woods Medical Records

It’s being reported, Florida police are seeking a warrant to search and question golf legend Tiger Woods, specifically his medical records for DUI purposes. Woods was involved in an accident after he left his house at 2:30 in the morning this past weekend. It appears to me Woods is a victim of his own celebrity, and if this was an average person, this wouldn’t have gone this far.

As details come out, its apparent Woods probably did the right thing as his wife, Elin Nordegren, seems to have acted upon her anger after rumors of an affair came to life. There are some conflicting stories, but it looks Nordegren chased Woods with a golf club and to avoid possible domestic assault charges himself, he apparently tried to leave the house as his wife chased him swinging the club. Her story now questionable conflicts have appeared in her story.

So why are they making Woods out to be the bad guy? If he even laid a hand on her it would have gotten ugly for him, and the best thing for him to do is leave the house. If she was chasing him, it’s easy to see how he could have made the mistakes behind the wheel of the car which would have caused the unfortunate chain of events.

This is not to give him a pass for the claims of adultery, but he clearly doesn’t deserve the destruction of his reputation over this. There are reports that prescription medications may have had something to do with it, which is why they may receive their warrant as they push DUI charges. If Woods was being beaten by his wife, he should be free to protect himself and remove himself from the harm she imposed.

I may be totally wrong in my analysis, but I believe Tiger did what Tiger felt was necessary to protect himself and avoid getting slapped with domestic violence charges. Coincidentally, I have been in his shoes many years ago when a girlfriend chased me with a baseball bat and actually struck my wrist braking my Fossil St. Louis Blues watch. Of course, I wasn’t cheating on her, but was rather upset with her about how she treated me on a trip we took together to Florida.

I told her I was going to fly home, and she said I wasn’t going to embarrass her in front of her family. I packed up and went outside to wait for my cab when she came out with the baseball bat. I can understand what Woods went through, and considering his image, one can understand him being elusive in hopes of a little privacy. Woods has done nothing wrong in terms of how he has handled any of the officers. He has the right to remain silent and shut the door on the cops until they come back with a warrant.
