Exit Strategy and 30,000 Troops?: The Terrorists Laugh at Obama

It’s been called the Graveyard of Armies, and unless Obama comes up with a strategy that more complex than sending more American troops to Afghanistan, this country may find out the hard way. Obama, who is breaking an October 27, 2007 promise, has decided 30,000 more troops are in order for the efforts in Afghanistan. This is what took Obama weeks and months to decide other than there is now an exit strategy.

This is why America will learn why Afghanistan earned its name. Obama is putting 30,000 more troops in harm’s way knowing they are part of the plan to leave. All Al Qaeda and the Taliban have to do is patiently wait, and Afghanistan will be theirs again, and we will be looking at a new strategy once Obama is out of office. You aren’t supposed to announce to your enemy when you are still trying to defeat them you are planning to leave. You just empowered them—America is preparing to run. Praise Allah the jihad is winning.

Why is Obama extending this war effort if his strategy is to exit rather than to win? Is it so politically correct to say that we have a winning strategy. Obama is arrogant in every other thing he does—just not in leading the military. Shouldn’t we see a President tomorrow night that is going to confirm our men and women are going to come home proud of the victory?

This seems like a game to me. Obama has taken heat for not listening to the commanders in Afghanistan who requested 40,000 additional troops. Instead Obama is sending 10,000 less troops and some Drug Enforcement Agents—that’s right drug enforcement agents. Obama may get to declare victory on the war on poppies while the rest of the efforts fail. Perhaps this is Obama’s way of saying, I tried doing it their way and it failed. No one who wishes for victory and claims he will undo the wrongs of the previous administration and get the job done instantly declares an exit strategy. The enemy is laughing once again at Obama.
