Invite From Claire McCaskill For a Healthcare Townhall Meeting in Springfield, MO

Claire McCaskill is coming to Springfield, Missouri, to talk healthcare. With the Obama seal, the one that looks similar to symbols of Nazi Germany, I accepted Senator McCaskill's invitation. I will be attending McCaskill's town hall meeting, or whatever this is, this Friday, August 14, 2009, at 1:00.
I would like to get other Springfield and Southwest Missouri freedom loving tea partiers and government healthcare opposition to attend with me. To sign up, simply visit http://my.barackobama.com/page/content/officevisit?office=628&source=20090809, which is full of Obama symbolism which seems to have taken importance over the traditional patriotic symbols like an eagle since Obama took office.
The meeting takes place at:
Sen. Claire McCaskill's Springfield Office
324 Park Central West, Suite 101 Springfield MO 65806(Map)
Phone: (417) 868-8745
324 Park Central West, Suite 101 Springfield MO 65806(Map)
Phone: (417) 868-8745
Please let me know if you are interested or signing up so we can come up with a game plan to hit the Senator with tough question one after another. An educated and peaceful group with legitimate questions will go a lot way in wining this debate.
I will be there. Will you?

This is an exciting development BB. I trust you will have someone come with you that has a small flip video camera, so you can show you are peaceful, intelligent, and respectful, and the opposition are screaming psycho moonbats! I can't wait to read all about it.
ReplyDeleteGood Luck :) Drown her with tough questions. Its the least she deserves.
ReplyDeleteHoly wow, she's letting YOU in???? She had better do her homework.
ReplyDeleteDude, I would love to go but I will be in the air somewhere between NC and NW AR. I won't be on the ground until Friday afternoon.
ReplyDeleteotherwise wild horses could not keep me away.
1. Where is the Tort reform
2. Why won't senators be using the public option if it is so good.
Those are the two best questions I have.
My suggestion for questions is this: pick out many many lines from the bill, note the page, the section etc...and then ask "Do you agree with...?" etc...the first time just ask it that way. Wait for answer. Then reply, well on page yadda yadda of your bill it says, which you just agreed/disagreed with. Next person asks, "On page XYZ there's a provision ..." I want to know if you are ok with this and why. Etc etc.. Go get her!
ReplyDeleteWhy must a person sign up on a Barrack Obama website to attend the townhall meeting of a Missouri Senator? This stinks of further intimidation and name-keeping lists to me by the Obama administration.
ReplyDeleteI am self-insured via a high deductible health-insurance plan and have a Health Savings account. The Obama-care plan specifically eliminates health insurance such as mine and I will be FORCED to enroll in a "public option" or fined.
Of course I contacted my representatives back in early July and no response other than a "form letter" from Sen. McCaskill's office.
When I called her office several weeks ago the male staffer actually told me that if I didn't agree with Sen. McCaskill's views on Socialized Health Care that I could take it to the polls in 2012; until that time my opinion was of no concern to the Senator. He of course hung up and refused to give his name.
I'd love to be able to come with, but the time isn't so great. I think this healthcare plan will be a huge blunder in american history, and wish they would have an open town hall meeting in springfield. Maybe one of the hospitals in town could host it considering the two biggest employers in springfield are hospitals. Anyway, This blog I read all the time has a good view from a provider who is opposed to the health plan and brings up alot of great questions you may be able to pass along

I plan to attend.
ReplyDeleteI showed up at Senator McCaskill's office at 1 PM today, as you recommended, only to find a note attached to her door saying the office was closed. You apparently failed to schedule this meeting with her office. How many others went there only to find out they were also locked out?
ReplyDeleteNo, I didn't fail to schedule this meeting with her. Claire McCaskill failed to keep the meeting. Did you sign up? Why should you be surprised. Democrats are canceling across the country, and maybe too many people thanks to Web sites like this signed up in opposition; therefore we got a sign on the door. Here is the confirmation from Organiizing for American and McCaskill's office:
ReplyDeleteThank you for signing up to make an Office Visit for Health Reform. Below you will find the details about the office and the time you scheduled:

Your scheduled visit --
Date: Fri Aug 14 2009
Time: 1:00 p.m.
We put together a step-by-step guide you can use to plan your visit and maximize your impact. You can download the guide and additional information to drop off at the office here:

These visits are extremely important. Representatives are feeling the heat from special interests and need to hear from their constituents how important health insurance reform is to them.
For our plan to work, we need everyone who's signed up to stop by their Representative's office during the time they agreed to go. It's critical that they hear from as many people in their district as possible. If for some reason you can't make your shift, let us know, but make sure you drop by sometime during office hours this week.
Thank you for standing up once again to fight for the change our country needs.

By the way, McCaskill is supposedly having a town hall meeting in Springfield on September 1 according to KY3.
