Census in Schools: US Government Wants Kids to Encourage Parents to Answer Census

I have shared my frustrations and lack of desire to cooperate with the US Census Bureau and their Survey of Business Owners and Self-Employed People. As you know, my contacts with the Census employees have returned few answers and no Constitutional proof that I am required to fill out anything beyond the basic head count. Now, those same employees may have help from the unlikeliest of sources to get you to answer your census information.
Children are going to be indoctrinated by the US Census bureau thanks to a partnership with those other centers of indoctrination known as public schools. Census in Schools is a program in which the Census Bureau works with superintendents, principals, and teachers to spread the message, “the Census is coming and here's why everyone should care.” Now I care! I care because the government once again looks to children to do their dirty work.
The Census Bureau is going to send educational brainwashing materials to the nation’s classroom all to encourage children to get their parents to fill out the Census. Hey who cares America’s math and science test scores are down—we have a head count to perform.
The packet includes posters, teaching guides, maps and lesson plans, and every school in the United States is going to blessed with this big government invasion of your disctrict. 118.000 schools and 56 million students will be exposed to what may be the most corrupt census in US history. Remember Acorn is working this one, and they come equipped with GPS to log the coordinates of your front door.
"It's great to reach the children because children are such strong voices in their homes," says Renee Jefferson-Copeland, chief of the Census schools program. "In households that are linguistically isolated, they can express the information to their parents."
In other words, it’s great because the government is going to have more influence over your children. This is wrong. Our teachers need to focus on teaching the basics and not the politics of the census. I’d recommend everyone threaten their school by pulling your children out of class during Census day.
In 2000, teachers had to request educational materials, but as you know a lot has changed in ten years, and government’s oppressive hand is influencing every aspect of our lives. Now they are forcing teachers to take the information. The Census Bureau will also be working with PBS with a message to appear on Sesame Street.
