I recently read an interview of Colin Powell on Barack Obama that will air later today on CNN. I am convinced Powell is a stupid man and obviously voted for Obama for one reason. Call me a racist if you want, but it's clear skin color won Powell's vote.
In the interview, Powell offers Obama some advice--by the way, Powell is a little late to the dance. I guess he's been too busy insulting Rush Limbaugh to pay attention to what's going on in the country.
"The right answer is, 'Give me a government that works,'" the former secretary of state said "Keep it as small as possible. I think one of the cautions that has to be given to the president - and I've talked to some of his people about this - is that you can't have so many things on the table that you can't absorb it all. And we can't pay for it all."
"And I never would have believed that we would have budgets that are running into the multi-trillions of dollars, and we are amassing a huge, huge national debt that, if we don't pay for in our lifetime, our kids and grand kids and great grandchildren will have to pay for it."
First of all, is this Powell's way of jumping off his intellectually fraudulent sinking ship? It appears to me that he understands that Barack Obama was and is a huge mistake, but he can't come to terms with admitting he was wrong. He comes out with this crap that he talks to Obama and his people while presenting himself as the exact opposite of Obama. Might Powell now advance his political career and announce his candidacy using the size of government to separate himself from his black vote?
What part of this was Powell blinded by during the campaign? Obama spoke big government if you took the time to peel back the layers. Powell was too enamored with the lifting of what W.E.B. Du Bois called the veil. Powell voted for Obama because he was black. Now he is trying to regain his credibility and run from a president who is starting to show signs of unpopularity as his poll numbers continue to fall as he robs Americans of their rights. Powell will never admit to his mistake. He will just make comments to continue separating himself from Obama. To admit that he was wrong will be to admit those in the Republican party that he personally despises and those who show little enthusiasm for Powell in the party would be right--you know Rush Limbaugh for starters. In one interview, Colin Powell discredits himself and why he voted for Obama.

Here is what I blogged on Oct. 29, 2008 in "memories of marxist professors".
"And now I hear he was the type of person in college who *sought out* Marxist professors? Sorry. But that is the exact opposite of me. But wasn't that a long time ago, you ask. Yes. But look at what Barack Obama's views are right now, Today. He wants to "spread the wealth". Those are his words. When he was asked in greater detail if he would still go ahead with that tax plan if increasing taxes of small business hurt the economy such that there would be LESS wealth to "spread around", would he still go through with it? He said yes, in the interest of "fairness". So it is not about enriching the poor at all. It is about punishing the achievers in society. This is the opposite of the America I was raised to love."

The information was all there. You either vote for the radical marxist/socialist or you don't. Powell chose to vote for Obama. He chose to ignore evidence to the contrary, because it did not fit with what he wanted--a black man in the white house.
He made his bed, now he must lie in it. I don't trust him one iota. He sold us and our children's children down the road for his racist desires.
As I stated on Opus #6,I respect the man as a general, seeing I was under his command during the 91 Gulf War,but he has shown his opportunistic ways now.
If he believes that we believe him, they he does not think much of us at all.
