Palin Better Come Out Swining: Liberals Have Legitimate Palin Argument Now

Prior to Sarah Palin resigning the office of Alaskan governor, the tolerant people known as liberals argument wasn't based much on policies and record. She never had a honeymoon period with the public before t-shirts calling her the 'c' word found themselves in shopping carts of Web pages. I remind you one more time--these are the same people who call themselves tolerant who purchased the t-shirts and tried to destroy her on character and not policies and record.

Many believe Palin began her 2012 bid for the Republican nomination yesterday. I do not. I think for the health of her family, which the tolerant people known as liberals continued to attack every seam of, including her children (keep showing us the tolerance you libs), she decided to leave the public eye. One has to remember it's hard to watch your kids attacked by the playground bully. Imagine how hard it would be to watch your children attacked by noticeable amounts of liberal bullies on a national stage. (Considering the Gallup poll showing that conservatives considerably outnumber liberals in this country, I didn't feel the need to build their numbers up beyond the small minority liberals consist of.) That's got to weigh heavily on a person.

If that's the reason Palin did drop out, then we can expect the tolerant people known as liberals to become more vicious with their personal attacks and this includes children. They will see it as an Achilles hill which is sad for the children to come. I guarantee you if a conservative said anything even remotely bad about Sasha and Malia, there would be a media firestorm staged against that conservative. David Letterman got a way with it despite the outrage. He still has his job and a slap on the wrist.

So what is Palin going to do? I think she will continue to fight for the country and against where it is headed. I think she will be a voice for conservatives for many years, but I don't think the White House is her destiny. She had a year and a half to serve out her remaining term, and she will only have been a governor for 31 months. Now she will be labeled a quitter.

Palin's real opportunity was to shape American energy policy in the state that is most critical for the future of American energy. While she has done an admirable job to date, the job is far from complete. Energy will play such a huge role in 2012. Americans are going to feel the pinch of Obama and the Democrat's energy policies, and they will look for proven leadership. Palin could have been that leadership.

Sure her foreign policy isn't up to par with other potential candidates in the Republican party, but look at who she will be eventually running against had she stayed in and fought for Alaska for a few more months. Obama's foreign policy is this--if they were a friend, they now suck. If they used to suck and are oppressive, they are now a friend. After a few more months of this, Americans are going to be tired of the reality Obama is clueless on foreign policy. Many of us knew this with Obama's reaction to Georgia (the country not the state, and I write this to remind Barack Obama himself we aren't anywhere near Atlanta with this conversation). This of course has continued to materialize with Obama as president. Currently, American foreign policy is a joke--and many of us aren't laughing. It's a dangerous joke.

By 2012, the attacks on her family will have gotten old and Americans will have seen through it. What they aren't going to see through is why she quit. This has never worked before in the past (remember Bob Dole left the Senate in an attempt to win the White House) and I don't see it happening for Palin. I am disappointed, but I know our Reagan is coming. Conservatism is still strong in America, and I believe we will relive 1980.

The attack on her and her family was unheard of by the media and liberals. She handled each attack with class and dignity. I hope she sticks around.
