Obamacare Requires Mandatory End of Life Counseling for Seniors
More bad news for America’s golden generation. The nation’s seniors are going to be offered mandatory end-of-life counseling according to page 425 to page 430 of the healthcare bill. That’s right, the government is going require Senior Citizens to go through counseling shortly before they die. Now, I ask you why would you need to offer end-of-life counseling to senior citizens?
Could it be because they aren’t going to get healthcare in the end, so they need to be informed of death options like the State of Oregon offered Barbara Wagner when Oregon’s state run system rationed care and denied her treatment for her cancer. In case you haven’t heard the story, the State of Oregon denied cancer treatment but offered physician-assisted suicide for Wagner. This is clearly a sign of the coming healthcare rationing that will occur under Obama’s reckless plan.
I want to know what happens to a senior who tells Obama where to go with his end-of-life counseling. I need to know because I will soon be one of those seniors ready to flip a bird to a government bureaucrat who is going to counsel me on how to die without costing the country a dime.

Soylent Green, anyone?
ReplyDeleteHow about some "mandatory end of career counseling for senators"?
ReplyDeleteI am going to be one of those seniors soon also and I am one of those nurses he might require, mandate even, to assist the seniors on their way. For now we have a morality law that we aren't required to do anything that goes against our moral beliefs. They are trying to recant that law. If they ever do mandate us it will be my last day working.
ReplyDeleteRight on RK!!!
ReplyDeleteHi Clay! You have been covering all the AWFUL points of this Nightmare all day, I've been reading your blog at work...I can't comment there! Thanks for stopping by and saying hello on my take of this craptastic "Bill". I was editing it with more funny comments, so I don't think you read the complete version. Stop by again if you want.
ReplyDeleteThis part about "counseling" seniors to kill themselves was the most HORRIFIC thing I read. These people are really EVIL, but what do you expect! I agree w/ RK & B&G. All authors of that 1000 page obomination should be sent away for life in prision. Murderers.
Well, now we all need a laugh, so read my post!
MAndatory End Of Life Counseling followed by Mandatory Estate Taxes....
ReplyDeleteI've called senators/congressmen/AARP/the White House and no one will give an answer. The President tried to dismiss it in his town hall meeting that you won't be required to sign anything, but conveniently left out the "mandatory counseling" aspect. My question was if I would be imprisoned if I refused.
ReplyDeleteThe more I hear about this plan the more it scares me. By voicing our dissent towards this bill we have been referred to as un-American. I thought the the right to voice our dissent was something that made us American and made the United States unique compared to other nations. I will not be told to shut up and get in line by an elected leader. Remember when election time comes around what our elected representatives have told us and how they have insulted our intelligence. They need to remember that this republic was formed as a government for the people by the people. Too many of them are out of touch with reality and fail to remember this fact.
ReplyDeletehow dare the government mandate end of life counseling - when did representatives and senators, the president [at any time] and his cabinet become God

The only end of life counseling I'll accept will be at my leisure and by my clergy. But think of this. If this horrific section is in the health reform, what others are in there that no has noticed? And what horrors are in there Mr. O. is trying to hide?
ReplyDeleteI feel so helpless and scared.
This section of the bill simply allows Medicare to reimburse providers for time spent with patients who voluntarily choose to discuss advanced care planning with their doctor. THESE CONVERSATIONS ARE NOT MANDATED. AARP, the National Coalition for Cancer Survivorship (NCCS) and the American Geriatrics Society among other organizations, and countless doctors, as well as Republican lawmakers, have expressed support for this provision in the House health insurance reform bills.
