Did Bill Clinton Grab Fast Food Before His CDC Speech on Obesity?

Remember during the 1992 campaign, Bill Clinton went for a job and an Egg McMuffin. Now Clinton is making the case against Obesity, no doubt to support Democrats coming taxes on fast food.
Clinton spoke at the CDC's Weight of the Nation conference. He claimed during his speech, "nearly one-in-three children and teens in the United States are overweight or obese. As the healthcare costs of obesity continue to soar, the Alliance for a Healthier Generation’s Healthcare Initiative has taken a lead by bringing together health insurers, employers, and national medical associations to provide more than one million kids and teens in the U.S. with healthcare benefits for the prevention and treatment of childhood obesity, but we must all do more to develop innovative solutions to combat the obesity epidemic.”
Mancow reports today on his way to the conference, Clinton grabbed fast food before speaking on obesity. Mike Church confirmed this. Former President Clinton ate a Z's double cheeseburger, onion rings, french fries, apple pie, and a milkshake. This basically is a full day's worth of calories in on sitting for the President. He signed autographs while waiting for his to-go meal, and then drove off to his obesity conference. God bless you Bill Clinton for still giving us something funny to talk about.

That's the equivalent of Nancy Pelosi speaking on the dangers of Botox and plastic surgery.
ReplyDeleteHa, loved the comment from blackandgold fan. Gee, that fatcats in Washington going after the fat cats on the streets.
ReplyDeleteI don't know how you feel about the current weight charts used by the government to determine whether you are over weight or obese. I was determined to get to my "optimum" weight and went on a diet. When I was still 8 pounds over the maximum for my height I had people i know asking if I had a health problem or was fighting cancer. The more they lower the weight the more they can restrict health care by saying that people are engaging in risky behavior.
ReplyDeleteBy the way, up here in the Great North Country we consider the lower limits of obese as anorexic. We treat that condition with beer and brats, probably soon to be outlawed by Big Brother.
Well, the weight charts are a bit off, especially as height increases. I am 6'5 and I could never weight the weight they say I should be (although I am far from my fighting weight now, but that is another story). My fighting weight so to speak is about 240-250. I could run 1 minute laps for up to three laps, and my 40 was a slow 5.9, but still, I was fast enough to run down most people... I think the charts said I should be 212-220. Sure, after a stay in a concentration camp.

ReplyDeleteAll the politics always have double speech. But the thing here, it's about fast food, and everybody love it, doesn't matters how bad is it. The same speech and same bit.
