Cash for Clunkers is Dead: Rationing Has Begun With Cars and You Are Next

Yesterday, I heard the local news interview a local car dealership. They were worried that the cash for Cash for Clunkers was drying up too quickly (less than a week), and they hoped Congress would extend it. The program was to run into November, but like everything else the government does, the government can't keep up with the demand. Consider this with healthcare.

Just this year the government subsidized free HD converter boxes. They ran out of money making people angry. Now they are doing the same with Cash for Clunkers. Congress is worried at the pace cars are selling, the program will top well over $1 billion in costs to taxpayers. They have now suspended the program as dealers were facing a backlog.

Now I ask you what happens when Obamacare begins to go over it's allotted budget? No healthcare for you! Better look at these examples and how the government works.

This time next month, Obama will claim he saved the car industry as both GM and Chrysler sales were up. Cash For Clunkers will be a few weeks dead, and Obama will get away with it until sales fall again. This program should have never been, and it obviously wasn't planned very well to begin with. They need to read the healthcare overhaul before pushing their changes on the nation. It's obvious our Congress is wishy washy, and this is the perfect example.

  2. When the money runs out, rationing begins. And everybody points fingers at everybody else. Typical government system.

  3. This is like the Oprah KFC fiasco. Too much of a good thing + not thinking ahead. I'm scared for us if national health care gets a leg up.

  7. Not only is the clunker program a clunker, if you go on the website, car.gov, there is a notice before you enter claiming that the government has access to the content of your computer. Saw it on Glenn Beck tonight and I posted the info.

  8. These government programs are foreshadowing the future of our health care, if Obamacare passes. Running out of money seems to be a constant problem of the government's. This will lead to rationing of care, thus making our problem worse, not better. We definitely need to stop Obamacare from passing. This will literally ruin our lives and well being.

Sorry about the captcha. I hate them just like you, but the spambots have gotten ridiculous.
