City Year--Community Service or Military Service?: Video Shows Military Side of Obama's Hitler Youth Movement

I was recently asked to watch a video of an organization called City Year. As we know Obama and the Democrats recently passed the HR1388, which many believe is the root of a civilian military force. Soon after it passed, HR1444 showed up in the house which will set up a study to see whether a workable, fair, and reasonable mandatory service requirement for all able young people could be developed, and how such a requirement could be implemented in a manner that would strengthen the social fabric of the nation.

Many of us expect if the Obama administration attempts to disarm a country who were given the right to bear arms to defend a people from an oppressive government, they won't be able to count no police officers and military men and women to carry out orders against the Constitution. Therefore, the forces to disarm America will come from young, impressionable youth through these two resolutions and whatever follows after them.

Some people call this Obama's Hitler Youth Movement or the brown shirts. I think it's brainwashing. I ask you to watch the video of City Year, who if you visit their Web site links to another site called Voices for National Service whose page shows the smiling face of Dear Leader and outlines the large increase in appropriations for this movement in 2010. Why would the government make such a major increase in spending for a program that supposedly promotes volunteerism. Volunteerism means to do so without pay.

I watched the video and quickly got past the pathos of Kennedy, Martin Luther King, and Mother Theresa. I quickly noticed these kids, part of a volunteer organization, were performing military formation moves like I was taught in basic training. Notice they are in formation, moving to a drum beat. Notice they move as a unit, just like the military. Notice they are put at ease.

We as gun-owning freedom lovers will face the fact that it will be the current generation of teenagers who will disarm us in a few years. This is just the start. I want to know why this group City Year is performing a variation of military formation. Community service isn't about lining up in formations. It's not about running drills. We better wake up to what Obama community service and forced volunteerism means. The children of this country are going to be subjected to this.

I remind you of the language in HR1444:

(5) The effect on the Nation, on those who serve, and on the families of those who serve, if all individuals in the United States were expected to perform national service or were required to perform a certain amount of national service.

(6) Whether a workable, fair, and reasonable mandatory service requirement for all able young people could be developed, and how such a requirement could be implemented in a manner that would strengthen the social fabric of the Nation and overcome civic challenges by bringing together people from diverse economic, ethnic, and educational backgrounds.

Don't be fooled by the spirit of community service under the Obama administration. Be skeptical of it. Prepare your children for the possibilities they may face under forced volunteerism--basically an Obama draft of a national security force. This is scary stuff, and it's already starting to shape up around us.
