Springfield, Missouri April 15 Tea Party: Tentative Plans for the April 15, 2009 Tax Day Revolt Tea Party
Details for the Springfield, Missouri April 15, tea party are starting to come out. Although, these details are not solid, the tentative details appear that the tea party will be held at Fassnight Park off Campbell Street near Parkview High School. It will starts at 4:00 PM and will end at 6:00. Official details will be coming out on Monday.
KSGF’s Vincent David Jericho will once again lead the protest against our overreaching federal (becoming national) government. You will want to make plans to be there. Invite your friends, and let’s show the federal government that the Ozarks won’t put up with the tyranny coming out of Washington DC. It would be nice, and we should demand, to have Roy Blunt attend the event so he can clearly understands the frustrations of Southwest Missourians.

April 11th isn't it?
ReplyDeleteLike I said this is tentative and has not been confirmed.
ReplyDeleteWouldn't it be best to keep "politics" out of this? There will be both Democrats and Republicans that feel the same about our being taxed to death and will want to be there to protest as well. If you invite Roy Blunt, then it becomes a Republican protest. Just a thought to get more people out as a whole and make it for all people who are in protest.
ReplyDeleteYou can't keep the politics out of the tea parties. They are a political protest. This isn't a protest defined by Republican or Democrat, as both parties have directed us in this direction with the bailouts, but the Democrats have taken it further with the stimulus and pushing a CEO out of their position.
ReplyDeleteYou missed the point of having Roy Blunt at the protest. The idea is not for Blunt to get up and give a speech and make us feel better. The idea for Blunt is to send the message back to Washington that we have had enough and we aren't putting up with it anymore. We will rebel if it means a second American Revolution. It clearly says that's the reason Blunt should attend. You have to start thinking out of the box. You are too conditioned by the right and left boundaries in this country. Right now the federal government is the enemy. Right now they are out of control. Right now, our message needs to heard in the halls of Congress and they need to know how far we are willing to go to defend our Constitution.
If you want to keep the politics out of this, I wouldn't even bother showing up if I were you.
By the way, the tea party is April 18 at noon.
ReplyDeleteHello Clay, I have been trying to find out, for a while now, if anything would be going on here in Springfield. I am so glad that there is : ) , Thank You for getting things going and handling this!
ReplyDeleteOK, April 18 at noon, GREAT! Will it be held at Fassnight Park? I think it would send a 'Serious Message' to Washington if we could have Roy Blunt there or if he is unavailable have someone of significance in Washington's eyes to get their attention.
Clay, can you do something to see who we can get? We maybe need to call all of the local News Stations and let them know what we are doing along with thousands if not hundreds of thousands of other Americans across the Country.
Why April 18th?
ReplyDeleteThere is a lot of confusion on the date and time. There are some on here that say the 11th, some say the 18th, and I've seen most things on the internet say the 15th which makes a lot more sense since it is tax day.
